If you are getting a lake view room be prepared to look through dirty windows inside and out. Overall nice hotel but also be prepared to wait awhile to check in. Other Hilton properties are a much better value so click around.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, and a nice to go prepared food shop. Also, Starbucks inside. We did not eat at either restaurant, just drinks at the Irish bar that were good. Our rooms were quiet and comfortable. You just might want to bring your own pillow.

Great location - park view rooms are great. Front desk has tried to up sell room upgrades for $80 and it was not what they offered. Book early, arrive early and pick a good room.

The room with a king sized bed was very small. When my friend and I decided to go use the hot tub, we were grilled by the pool staff and not admitted because she didn t have a room reservation, even though I had one for two nights. I asked to speak to a manager and he said the manager was busy and almost refused to call the front desk until I pressed on. Eventually I had to walk down the hall to the guest phone to call the front desk myself and have my friends name added onto my room reservation. After that another pool desk person finally let us in. Not an ideal experience.

This hotel suck. I've stayed in alot of hotels in Chicago and this one by far is the WORST. The room was VERY small, no refrigerator, I had to call the front desk to fix the TV, the room was freezing cold and you can't control the heat, they stopping answering the phone after certain time, and the employees had no idea where anything is. I paid $350 for NOTHING. I will NEVER come here again, EVER. I am highly disappointed.

I decided to take my 5 star down to a 4 because we have had a clogged tub since we arrived and the maid service called to get it fixed.... But no one has come. Aside from that it's excellent

As a diamond member on Hilton for a few years, normally I get an email to review my stay but I didn't this time so I had to come here to warn other Hilton members to stay away. This is honestly the first Hilton property (Hampton inn included) that has not been satisfactory in over 150 stays the last 3 years. The property was not very clean, the beds were small and not comfortable, their idea of an executive lounge was a joke. The service was not up to Hilton standards. No fridge in the room, views were not very good. Honestly I was embarrassed because I booked the place for my family and I and told them it would be great because of the reviews I had read and because of the Hilton brand.

I would recommend staying just about anywhere else in the city. I once had to stay at a days inn near wrigleyville because of a last second issue and it was even nicer than this hotel. I will never return to this Hilton and was very disappointed.

I had a terrible experience with the Hilton Chicago. The hotel mistakenly charged my personal credit card even though my colleagues and I provided them with our travel cards issued by our employer. The night before leaving, we went to the front desk to ensure the bill was allocated appropriately. Our bill balance was changed repeatedly at the front desk by different employees and our cards were declined and then accepted, indicating the issue was not our travel cards, but the payment processing system used by the Hilton. Finally we were given an invoice indicating all charges were made to our work issued travel cards. Despite this they still charged my personal credit which was used to make the reservation! It took four weeks to resolve the charges that should not have been made in the first place! My colleague and I spoke with several members of the financial team. Our calls were not returned in a timely manner and every time we talked to a different person we were told a different story, including that the travel cards were not on file despite us having a receipt that clearly shows otherwise! In regards to our actual stay, the first night we were not provided enough blankets and were told they ran out of linens and would have to wait until the next morning. The gym was additional money, wifi yep additional money, and we were not even provided a microwave! I have stayed in cheaper hotels and received much better service. In closing, my stay was not good, there is poor organization and communication among the staff, and the aftermath of the stay was very stressful, and cost my colleagues and I a lot of time.

Clean, beautiful, well appointed downtown hotel. Brought my daughter and her friends here for my daughters birthday and we had a blast. walked everywhere we needed to go and was able to leave the car parked.

Stayed here many times great service! Very conveniently located it's very easy to get cabs or Uber right outside the door there's always someone there to assist you making it convenient. The price is average but then again you're right on the lake so you get an incredible View at a great price this is a no-brainer if you're in Chicago the Hilton will definitely make you feel right at home.

Decent room, was here for a convention. Was avg room and would stay again. Room wouldn't cool down past about 70 without opening the windows. Nice side note if you are gold or diamond you can check in at the excutive lounge on the 24th floor and skip the line at check in downstairs

The rooms are large, but spartan on the sixth floor. The bathroom is clean and modern, but the toilet flush is weak. You can't adjust the temperature in the room. The room temperature is set at 67 which feels a little cool(June 2016). The location is great in that it is close to museums and the El stations. The building was originally built in 1927. It has some grand features from the time period. The staff is friendly for Chicago.

A little on the stuffy side. Amazing old, historic building, but they are just barely keeping up on maintenance. Room was tidy and nice, if small, and expensive. Wired internet access is not free, nothing is and the rooms are fairly pricey. Staff was courteous and professional, but for the level of convenience included in the price I'd look elsewhere. My feeling is that they're coasting on reputation a bit.

The 14th floor was labeled the business level that seemed to have been remodeled. The room had a separate bedroom and sitting room (separated by a door) and both had its own TV. Location is convenient to the museums, but a bit of a walk to the blue line for ORD and the Mile.

It s a very beautiful hotel but wow, didn t expect to find a huge roach in the restroom. There was also no trash bag in that restroom. When I told them they didn t do much, room service did clean the restroom but guess what STILL NO BAG. I actually laughed. Other than that, it was great.

Our stay here was fantastic! Every employee was accommodating and professional. The hotel was clean with plenty to do. We went as a family and had a memorable vacation our children will never forget. I planned this trip for my children after undergoing a years worth of cancer treatment in which they had to really step up. The Hilton met and exceeded my expectations for this trip of gratitude.

They did not honor the booking, the room they originally gave us had heater broken in the bathroom, the changed room had thermostat issues, which kept the room either too warm or too cold. The location, and the decor anesthetic are perfect, but the service was awful

I love the Hilton chain have been a gold member for years, this is the worst Hilton hotel I have stayed at. Heating was not working the first night, the TV was not working had to fix it myself. The room was in need of updating very thing looked old and used. The service was the worst can not recommend this hotel.
