Wonderful place to stay. The staff were very nice and very helpful. It's centrally located to a lot of neat stuff to see in Cardiff. The food is fantastic.

I will say though, the ned was a little too firm for me.

30th birthday meal at Grey's went well on Sunday. Surprised my wife with a little treat.
A little bit weird having the specials stuck to our table with post it notes after we sat down.
Never had a choice of steak knives before.
After we had finished and requested for our drinks to be taken through to the bar, staff came over with a cup cake and sang happy birthday. Nice touch.
Ludo was very good and professional and made our night a good one.
Thank you

FUN!

When we walked into the hotel we were greeted with a warm, but modern, atmosphere. The staff can be seen looking at us over the counter wearing smiles. They promptly invited us inside to shelter our group from the gusts outside and even offering us complimentary cookies! The check-in process was nice and easy and anyone with difficulties standing can rest your tired legs on the many seats seated along the walkway of the reception room. After that, we were given our keycards into the rooms which can be accessed through lifts. There are enough lifts there to satisfy even the 25 people group I was in so no problem there. The rooms were properly sign-posted and there were very helpful staff that helped us along the way. Thus, we arrived at our room.

Regarding the room, for a four star standard-sized room, it is on the small side. Despite that it has a TV, fridge, ironing board, iron, wardrobe, safe box, phone, digital alarm clock and hangers to name a few things. The beds are soft enough to keep you warm but hard enough to not hurt your back. Let's say the beds are on the soft end of the scale. One fault though, is that they are high. I cannot get on the bed without jumping up and I'm six feet (180cm) tall! So beware if any of you have knee problems, you might want to opt out for a smaller and harder, but lower side bed they supply.

I personally have no complaints about the toilet but it's not perfect. It is very spacious, about half the size of a standard room. The bath and the shower are separate. The sink is on the weird side. It is on a good height but not low enough for kids to use. Also it is a lone sink with no place to put things like toothbrushes or toothpaste on. So you'll have to put them somewhere further away than usual. The sink also has a sharp handle bar which, in my opinion, is not cleaned well enough during our stay. Despite all that, there is a very useful feature. In the bathroom there is a lone red string hanging down from the ceiling which is used for emergency purposes, say if you fell over and need assistance.

Our breakfast was a typical English buffet morning with free drinks and food included in our prices.

Overall the hotel is worthy of four stars although it tips towards three more than five.

A wonderful hotel situated right by Cardiff Castle, rooms are large including a safe, fridge, tea / coffee tray and lots mo e that you wouldn't expect they really go the extra mile.

Had unlimited prosecco offer yesterday as have done this before and enjoyed previously. Have to say very disappointing as the prosecco was undrinkable tasted like vinegar with no bubbles , we did complain and they changed to a proper prosecco which had a Cork and bubbles . Bagle was so hard couldn't cut it at all and service slow . Very disappointed.

Lovely weekend break. We stayed in a king executive room on the sixth floor, very clean spacious room with a large bathroom and a comfy large bed. Made use of the executive lounge which again was clean with a wide selection of canapes, wine, soft drinks with beautiful views of the castle and good service. We were very impressed with the selection of food for breakfast, all very well presented. The only downside we felt was that the pool is slightly small along with the gym, sauna which can get very overcrowded during the early evenings!. However overall we had a very enjoyable stay, friendly staff, good service, we will definitely be returning in the future.

A wonderful stay in view of Cardiff Castle. Fell asleep looking at the keep across the street. Slightly loud due to the nearby college kids, but not bad. Nice rooms and friendly service.

Absolutely loved the Hilton in Cardiff. The pool and steam rooms were nice. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay pleasant. We had a view of the stadium and the room was exactly what you're would expect from the Hilton.

The dining room was beautifully decorated and we were so pleased that we would have a fantastic Christmas meal !!!! The starter was fine five star plus then the carvery was not expected the food was not hot and frozen sprouts not what I was anticipating over seasoned food yuk the service from our waitress grace was five star but the food left a lot to be desired the pudding was heavy and the sauce had no taste the knicker bocker glory was just sickly and full of fake cream again yuk won't be going there again very very over priced and very disappointed first Christmas meal in a restaurant and the last !,

I have a health club membership at the Hilton Cardiff and I am thoroughly impressed with the services on offer. The pool is big enough for lengths and the jacuzzi/steam room & sauna is a wonderful way to wind down after a work out. Locker rooms are decent, all furnished with showers, lockers, hairdryers, water fountains and bags to put your wet swim wear in. Overall would recommend.

The staff was great however the hotel is more concerned with the parties going on in the ballroom than the hotel guests. Two out of the three nights we were there they had parties downstairs and the raucous noise would echo way up into the rooms until 11:00. Drunken screaming crowds, like we were at a club. Not the relaxing stay you would expect from a up scale hotel, more like a frat house.

Visited for a conference, and it was quite comfortable, but a little difficult to find my way around at times! It's well situated in the City Centre, so I could pop out during a lunch break easily enough.

This is a decent Hilton hotel. It's well located in the city centre, the staff are good and the rooms big and comfortable.

That said, parking is very expensive, the air conditioning in our room was faulty and some of the equipment in the room is older than you find in other Hilton's and similar hotels (we've grown accustomed to being able to stream to the TV from our phones or at least being able to hook up our laptops via HDMI - neither option was available).

It's ok for tourists, assuming you get a room with working AC, but regular visitors or business travellers may be better off in a different hotel.

** Update! ** I've since stayed again the the TVs have been updated. My girlfriend and I were able to hook up our Nintendo Switch no problem, which was fun!

Experience with Hilton else where was great but not in Cardiff. I've booked a king room for the stay, room is good but the aircon in the room wasn't working. Considering the day was very hot, the room was stuffy and couldn't sit without aircon, forget about night sleep. I've complained but I've been offered a table fan or a twin room(plus complimentory drinks - seriously?) as they do not have any King rooms left. Aircon not working is not acceptable for a hotel brand like Hilton as the forecasted weather is hot, I would assume them to be properly maintained, for the premium amount they are charging per night. I had to move to a different room eventually, the other room has slightly better aircon but still hot not pleased over all. Not to the standards of Hilton.

The good ones - Nice clean room and bath. Breakfast is good. Just next to Cardiff hight street, easily accessable to night clubs, shopping and restaurants. Restaurant within the hotel is great. Worth trying.

Service very good. Somewhat older. Water pressure shower almost 0. Small mold stains ceiling shower. Breakfast very good. Swimming pool good, but foxing on the fabric pads of the loungers

Great location from which to explore Cardiff. All staff very friendly and helpful, rooms (we stayed in a floor 6 executive room for the second time) a good size and clean with a spacious, well appointed bathroom. Pool and facilities very good. Overall highly recommended, we would happily stay again.

Visited Costa here. Awful disabled access, and disabled toilets were not signposted at all. My wife has difficulty with stairs but was forced to use the toilets located deep in the bowels of the building.

Ok
