A fantastically well located Hotel for visiting a Cardiff. Valet parking for those wishing to drive and not deal with inner city parking. Amazing staff where nothing is too much trouble. It is however starting to show its age, with certain areas starting to tire.
A castle view is a must as is an executive room with access to the delightful lounge.

Terrible never again realy rundown hot tub was freezing would ov rather gone to local swimming baths

Fantastic hotel very friendly staff. I would have given 5 stars but I had to wait for nearly 2 hours for my room to be ready.

We stayed here for a mini honeymoon for the entire weekend after getting married 13th August.
The Check in was quick & easy. Our room wasn t ready for 15:00 however being then free to use the costa area while we waited for the room was helpful, the Txt message service is also very proficient & modern.
The Hotel staff very helpful, polite and professional, the reception staff and the breakfast staff are very proficient. A bottle of Champagne was waiting with two glasses chilled on our arrival in the room. The room was comfortable , clean and well presented the only slight downside to our stay here was the tv is out dated for when you want a bit of down time in the room before hitting the big city, the USB sockets dont charge the phones and the air conditioning isnt very cool making the room quite hot even with the window open. We was Gutted the health spa area was also closed due to Cv19.
The hotel I agree with comments below is showing its age now so we hope in our future stays here again it would hopefully be revamped.
But Overall a clean and tidy hotel thank you Hilton for a lovely experience here.

Went here for afternoon tea and prosecco. The food was ok but nothing blew my mind. The sandwiches were pretty average. No amazing combinations rather substandard ham, fish and cheese in bread. Tasted no different, rather worse, than chucking a quick sandwich together at home. The clotted cream and scones were tasty. The tea was alright but the tea timer was placed on our table quite a few minutes after the tea arrived so that really defeated the purpose. Our prosecco arrived with red wine glasses. The mistake was correct but only after a period. Finally the Hilton run a bottomless brunch which is great if you re a hen party but if you re looking to chat during your afternoon tea or meal then it becomes near impossible. Considering the prestigious reputation and prices of the Hilton I would expect a memorable experience. This wasn t unfortunately.

The ground floor bar is comfortable and the staff are well informed. It is possible to become a member of the pool, sauna and steam room at a very reasonable monthly price.

Good location, room are ok (no plugs around the room and low light). Other than that, good hotel. Didn't try the breakfast

The Italian rugby team was staying when we booked. A bit pricey.

On edge of city centre. Very smart with good facilities

I feel the age, but I can stay comfortably with a good location. Breakfast is good with a rich menu, but if you stay for several days in a row, you may get bored.

What a fantastic hotel we had a really good anniversary

Fantastic hotel, I loved it! Amazing location right in the centre of the city. The valet parking was extremely uncomplicated and very comfortable. The rooms were clean and I would highly recommend going for the castle view. Lovely breakfast and very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will stay there again if I visit Cardiff again. Thanks for a great week!

The view is excellent. Makes you forget about work in the evening. Has a wonderful lounge on the 7th floor with an amazing view. The restaurant is good, has a great ambience. Walkable distance to the town centre.

Negative for me is that it doesn t have its own parking. You have to give the car to the hotel, so that they can park it for you. Remember to take anything you may need for the night.

My partner and i paid a decent amount of money at the Hilton Hotel which is to be expected but to find out considering the circumstances the toilet wasn't clean to the highest standards is a disappointment. My partner and I understand that the toilet may have not been used in some time but if i could clean it and I'm a customer at the hotel, I'm confident so could the cleaner. If the toilets or showers aren't clean properly this could cause legionnaires disease which can be life threatening. I went to reception and the lady was very apologetic and sweet. She offered us another room (no problem with the room) but we politely declined then she offered 2 free drinks in Costa which we accepted. Secondly, we had a problem with the shower. It was difficult to turn on but we struggled to turn it off. It took my partner and I many attempts to try and turn it off but unfortunately we couldn't. Therefore, we had call the receptionist to call maintenance. The maintenance man came and even said himself that it was stiff and difficult. He couldnt even turn it off without using his tools. Due to the difficulty of the man being able to turn it off, this resulted into us changing rooms for the man to fix the shower for future guests. I think for our first time at Hilton hotel it wasn't a very pleasant experience and I'm writing this to warn returning and future customers.

Check in was a disaster. 2 hours late allowing us to check in when we had plans made. Breakfast was inedible. Very disappointing stay

Good size well appointed rooms. Quiet, but I'm a busy spot. Attentive staff. Grey restaurant has an imaginative, eclectic menu.

Beds were comfy and everything was OK but unfortunately me and a colleague suffered from food poisoning, which is no good on a business trip.

A real embarassment for a 5 star facility - Aircon didn't work - they first said they'll fix it, then when we pointed out that it aint fixed, they blamed it on the warm weather outside!!! Can u believe it ?- Hello! we aren't in the Middle East! And even there aircon works just fine! Many mistakes made in the final bill that we had to point out to get the erroneous billed items deleted - front desk staff were cold & behave as if they are doing you a favorable by even speaking to you - but once again to top it all my god - the aircon!! You can't charge an arm & a leg & then not offer basic amenities! Go here at your own risk

I only went into their costa to get a smoothie but service was fast and friendly.

Lovely hotel. Good sized rooms. Location is really good. Parking can be an issue if you don't prefer valet parking. Executive lounge is small but view is great.

Central location great for pubs and clubs. Staff are incredibly helpful and rooms are comfortable.

Smart Health Suite. Gym small but well equipped. Pool modern with steam room, sauna & jacuzzi.

Excellent central location. Spacious Executive Rooms. Some of the most helpful staff encountered during our recent UK tour. Highly recommended, and worthy of the Hilton brand.

Nice hotel with gym included. I liked the fridge in the room, but the stairs layout was frustrating. I would have preferred a way to get in and out that wasn't through the lobby

Went for afternoon tea in the Greys Restaurant. Great service and staff, food excellent also.

Lovely breakfast brunch with bottomless prosecco! Food was stunning, prosecco was topped up almost constantly only had to wait twice. Could have had more room round the table.

Superb hotel, great selection of items at breakfast, only downside on our stay was that one of the 2 lifts was out of order and there was quite a wait, it was out of use for our entire stay

25 quid valet parking. Gym good. No special treatment for my gold membership status (i never ask for stuff). Location is spot on. Room big. Bed comfortable. Adjoining door to noisy people next door a bit annoying but not the hotels fault. Would come back but let's have some perks Hilton. What's the point of gold membership otherwise?

Visited for the bottomless brunch recently. Very good service for a large group, good food, well presented and plenty of refills of prosecco. Our glasses were refilled before they had the chance to get empty. They even brought a little birthday dessert out for the birthday girl! Lovely service, thank you.

Nice hotel situated centre of cardiff, few min walking distance from st David shopping centre and opposite the caslte. Hotel has very nice bar and also Costa coffee shop, staff very pleasant would go back again.

From the greeting at reception to the wonderful breakfast the whole experience is one we all look forward to repeating. 10/10 !

Very clean. Health club Restaurant and the bar was really good. Kids eat free which was quite handy and they get a healthy balanced meal.

Stayed one night in a comfortable, clean room with attentive staff.

Caring staff, large rooms, many with a castle view. Very slow lifts, exacerbated by one out of order when we visited. We'd happily use the stairs instead but signage to stairs is terrible.

Nice hotel in the heart of the city, opposite the castle. Staff were friendly and very good. Only valet parking available though.

The Hilton Cardiff is an ideal hotel for exploring the city. It benefits from very comfortable and spacious rooms and the staff are polite and helpful. Food and drink at the hotel is a little pricey however it is to a good standard. Overall I'd recommend the Hilton Cardiff.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had Alcohol though, wow this was expensive from the bar

Good central location. Good sized room with large 80/90s vibe bathroom (separate bath and very large drenching shower). Young gentleman on reception was a delight.
