I was taken here for my birthday lunch by a friend and the food was excellent! The service was a bit slow and for the price I would of liked to see them a bit more attentive. I judge heavily by how full my water glass stays and it sat mostly empty more than not. The water also had a bit of a chlorine flavor to it. The food was good enough that I would probably go back though.

Check out their customer appreciation lunch. Only one day left. 1130-130. Big burger and fries $4.95. Monday night burger special just $10. Prime beef. Cheesy scalloped potatoes. They have a lot of other choices too. Most of the time it's packed but at 730 I got in without a wait and caught some of the game. Service is great too. I'll be back!
Wow, I really have to let you know, l am disappointed. I sat down and the hostess asked if it were a special occasion, my husband told her it was my birthday. She said, we will not embarrass you. Why did she ask? I ordered an Filet which was over cooked. I did get another perfectly cooked without sauce. The steak was cold by the time I got the sauce. My husbands food was over cooked. The veggies were undercooked and not seasoned enough. Well the second filet was better and the Brussels were better. Your mile away from my house, took 3 years for me to get there, so sad. The waiter did try his best, I think he was slightly embarrassed. The manager (?) did stop by and said he would take care of us, we did not see him again. You did give us $20.00 off but really tempted to stop by and give that back. Sort of insulting, like giving a waiter a penny tip. Oh well, no longer curious about neighborhood restaurant.
Awful food!! better pasta at noodles & company, better seafood at red lobster and better pot roast from Black eyed pea. These are very inexpensive places with decent food, to come here and pay crazy prices for absolutely nasty-unidentifiable food is crazy. We were confused.
Amazing food and excellent service. This place is perfect for special occasions. We loved everything we ordered..appetizer, drinks, main course and dessert were all very delicious. Service was the best. We had a reservation and we were seated right away. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Nice selection of lunch items that tasted great, but they limit seating to the bar area, which is kind of cramped. Hope they get this worked out for lunch service.
If you are planning a big night out on the town or a special occasion, this is the place. Quiet atmosphere, amazing staff, and quite possibly the best steak you will ever have. Ours was cooked to perfection! Words of advice, have a reservation and don't expect to leave for under $200.
Great quality steaks and good attentive service, in a classic Steakhouse setting. They also had a kids menu with a 4-ounce filet mignon instead of the standard kids "strip". Fresh bread, classic French onion soup, and a great dessert selection. It's a little out of the way, but worth the trip.
For what it is, this place is expensive. I ordered the Filet and it was not "fork tender". I definitely had to make use of the steak knife. And the side of garlic mashed potatoes was small and flavorless. The bread and french onion soup were the best parts of the meal.
If you're looking for a great steak and the cost doesn't matter... I'd still go somewhere else.
Been going here for years, unfortunately the staff turn over is higher and the quality of food has gone hill. 2 years ago and back Hideaway would have received a 6!
My close group of friends and I go out on weeknights to nice dinners. We were all so excited to try Hideaway and I must write to say how disappointing it was. The server was so kind and professional and had only been there for a few months but did a great job answering all our questions and was very attentive. The wine was good, and the appetizers were as well. As other reviews state its pretty overpriced and not worth it. My husband and I were looking forward all day to the prime rib and it was beyond dry. My friends prime rib was not dry and you could see the juices on their plate. Mine was bone dry. All our sides were barley warm. When the owner came over to drop off a side, as the previous one was incorrect, I informed him that my meal was less than par. My issue is with the response from the owner, he just stared at us... I said its fine we will pay for it but I just wanted to inform you that all our sides are cold and my prime rib is dry . Then he just said "Well.... I guess the customer is always right. Ill take care of it". then walked away. I was shocked. I was hoping he would offer to get us a new one but apparently, he just took the prime rib off the bill. This is fine and I appreciate it, I did not want to pay for a meal I did not eat, however I was still hungry and wanted a steak that I came in for. I would have much rather payed for the prime rib and had a new one out that I could enjoy. There was very little empathy or sincerest in his voice and it seemed to have annoyed him that I would even complain. The transaction was so weird and all of us were confused. Right after my friends found a hair in their crab legs but refused to say anything after how bizarre we were treated. Overall, every person at our table had an issue with one or more item they ordered, and we still ended up paying $150+ excluding the prime rib. We all agree we will never be back.
Great place! Wish more companies would take advantage of their great private room and start conducting product demos up north instead of downtown and the DTC all the time!
Quite literally the best meal we have ever had, the staff was incredible, they were incredibly accommodating to my dairy allergy. I had the short rib lollipop and my husband enjoyed the Wagyu. It was the perfect anniversary dinner and we will absolutely be back!
I don't typically eat at steakhouses or any place where a plate is over $30 but we visited here for a special occasion. The name definitely suits it's location as it's located mostly in a residential area hidden by a lot of trees if you're heading East.
The experience was overall pretty good. The server was very courteous as expected but some of the other staff could have been more accommodating. There was a mixup and they brought out extra salad and soup to our table, told us we could have it, then actually walked away with it when he started to set it down which I thought was a little weird.
The food itself was cooked exactly how we ordered and the French onion soup was delicious and came out quickly. The chef gave us a complimentary appetizer consisting of cucumber, salmon, cream cheese, and some other ingredients, the dish was good even though I don't care for salmon. There were only a few other dinners eating here at the same time as we had come early and they clearly had mishaps of their own (wine glass somehow shattered at their table).
My biggest peeve with this experience relates to the server's ability to remember our order. When a restaurant chooses not to have their waiters write items down for an order you would expect that they remember it, not have to come back multiple times to verify everything was correct after entering it into the POS terminal. It seems less professional to ask about the order multiple times than to write it down. Other than this issue the staff were very knowledgeable about their items.
I likely would not come back here but that is a personal preference. If you are a seafood or steak fanatic this would likely be a hit for you.
Great place for celebrating special occasions, or hosting events. It's a fancy place with an inviting ambiance. There is a bar inside and plenty of table/booth seating. They use the highest quality ingredients, and the service was fantastic.
Awesome food & most importantly GREAT service. It's always a pleasure to come here and get such good service, never a disappointment. You can go anywhere to get good food, but it's the service that puts a place like this above all the rest.
Great service, great food. This will be on our frequent list. Came back for an order to go, the food was awful and expensive. Probably not coming back.
This place is absolutely amazing. Top notch dining experience with polite and friendly staff. Great atmosphere and superb food quality. You definitely can't go wrong with anything you order here.
Oof, we thought we found a good high end steak place closer than downtown. This isnt it folks. Service seems good, Food isnt .. my fiance said she would rather have gone to Texas Roadhouse. Stick to ocean prime, ruth cris and del frisco. These guys arent even in the ballpark for the price.
Amazing atmosphere, phenomenal food, and incredible service. Hideaway Steakhouse is not for someone on a tight budget because the prices directly reflect the aforementioned characteristics. You will pay top dollar for the exceptional services and it is worth every penny. The meat and the seafood was absolutely perfect and prepared to your liking. Absolutely recommend this spot for anyone who is willing to splurge on a remarkable meal!
Oh. My. Gosh. The food, the service, the atmosphere, it was all 5 star platinum service. We highly recommend the brussel sprouts as an appetizer, it is so sweet and sauteed with bacon and pepper. It was our anniversary dinner and I couldn't have chosen a more romantic restaurant.
Excellent wine list, hospitality, service and gorgeous ambiance... Bad and private dining room! Speak to Brett regarding wine pairings... Wonderfully knowledgeable sommelier! Enjoy!
This is a GREAT place for reasonable happy hour drinks and upscale menu choices. Staff are fabulous and make it FUN! Venue is truly high end. Dinners are phenomenal. I love this place and am glad it is north of Denver. Keep up the great work!
This place is amazing! The staff are so attentive and the food is amazing. I had the prime rib, cooked medium rare and it was perfect. My husband had the ribeye, also fantastic. It s really quite and a good place to go for a very nice meal. It s pricey but well worth the cost.
8/1/2020 same quality for staffing, food and add in Covid restrictions. This place is still top of the top.
Wow! Wow! This place is wonderful, spend my Birthdays here. Wonderful, professional, comfortable service. Wine is great, food is always wonderful and it's comfortable. You can dress nice or more casual. I also like there is parking, and again the atmosphere is comfortable and so enjoyable!!
We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated right then. Our party consisted of my wife and I and our 8 year old son, we have received many a "stink eye" for nice restaurants with our son in tow, but nary a raised eyebrow here, Thanks!
We were attended to quickly and given the run down on the daily specials and our drinks orders were taken and were brought with a delectable sourdough loaf to munch on. Our son, spilled his lemonade and we were attended to quickly. He apologized for his accident to which the waiter genuinely smiled and said,"Thank you, it's not a problem!"
I had the Cowboy Bone-in Rib-eye my wife had the Bone-in Pork Rib Chop, both ordered Medium-Well (no comments from the peanut gallery, that's how we like them!), and Mac n' cheese for the kiddo. Also a bottle of the House Riesling.
We were offered another loaf of the fabulous bread while we waited for our meals, which a happily accepted. The wine was brought in a "chill" holder and was cold, crisp and wonderful.
My wife's plate came and the veggies brought were incorrect and with no comments it was returned to the kitchen and properly plated. My steak had a pat of a herb butter melting on top with asparagus w smoked bacon and roasted finger length potatoes, some were the purple variety, yum! Now there are some places that have no idea how to cook a medium well steak, I.E. Brooks steakhouse, But these people have it perfect, a touch of pink, juicy and delicious! The Pork chop had Au Gratin and a summers quash/zucchini/carrot combo that looked like spaghetti, wonderful!
After the desert order was placed, or son looks at the waiter and says, " Can I see the kitchen?" After the lemonade incident I thought, this will go nowhere, but to my surprise he reached out his had and said, "let's go!" He had a blast!
Desert was as good as anything, double choc cheesecake, choc mousse and a fresh made choc chip cookie (with a glass of mike too!!)
Many of the bad reviews I see are from shortly after they opened so, go there, try it, I think you'll like it.
Was it high priced, yes, but not near as much as Elway's, Capitol Grill or Brooks for what we got to eat.
Upscale, well put together steakhouse offering unique cocktails and great cuts of prime stockyards beef. Wine list is one of the best on the north side of Denver. Service is great, perfect joint for a special occasion for two. They seem to do well with larger parties too! If you're looking for a nice atmosphere with great food (And dont mind paying for it) on the North side, this is your "Hideaway"
Wonderful atmosphere. Luxury is the absence of worry. Until, manager asked us to hurry up and get going because their reservations were over an hour behind. 5 more minutes and we would have been gone. That ruined the experience and any desire to return. Bad form sir bad form.
Decor dated, however the food is well prepared and high quality. Had a company dinner there and had a great cut of NY strip. Staff attended to everyone in a timely manner. A bit pricey, but would go again for a special occasion.
Had Thanksgiving dinner with my parents here, and it was amazing!! Our waiter had impressive knowledge of the wines, and also of the menu. The owner also came to our table twice to check on how our visit &meal was. It's a warm, and elegant restaurant to enjoy fine dining. Will definitely come back again for another family get together!
Outstanding food!! Outstanding atmosphere!! Outstanding service!! Best date night ever! Our waiter Jason was absolutely amazing and helped us choosing the best meal. We definitely recommend the Wagyu with the foie grass butter! It was unbelievably good! Same for the Burrata Caprese and the Saganaki Cheese! Man, that was delicious!!!! We'll be back soon for sure and we'll ask for Jason again!
Disappointed that we didn't have the same great experience as others. Had several issues throughout the dinner and although the service was great it didn't make up for the hit or miss food. There are so many great restaurants in the Denver area, go to one of those instead.
I have no idea how people have 5 stars for this place. Maybe hit or miss situation, statistically not worth roll of the dice. $60 for meal i wouldn't feed my dog vs $30 meal at Outback that was fantastic (btw, 1 person). What would you choose?
$$$$$. Owner gave us a special appetizer and creme brule for desert for first visit and our anniversary. Table and booth combos. Tables. Not many people when we arrived, but wait time for meal seemed long. Filet steak slightly over cooked, served with chilled bernaise sauce. Green bean almendine was perfect and had wonderful flavor.
