I seldom write restaurant reviews, however, this time I must. I too, have been here about 2 years ago and though it was good. 3.5 - 4 stars. I went there last night for a business dinner and I don't think I've ever been so unimpressed by a a steak at a place called a steak house. I had the 10 oz. New York. It looked and tasted more like a 6 oz. breakfast steak at Denny's.

Sorry, Hideaway. I hate to write a bad review about someone's lively-hood, but I will not be back.

A large group affair handled beautifully by our server, Jason, and management. Food was excellent and the chef was accommodating with allergy concerns. Very good house salad, steaks, fish, soups, sides....Would highly recommend!

My wife and I have shared many celebrations here. Last night however, was a bitter disappointment. The waitress was fantastic but the food was terrible to say the least. The shrimp cocktail sauce was chunky and dry. The shrimp looked like leftovers from the fridge. The chicken marsala was just thrown together in a bowl like slop. The noodles weren't cooked, it tasted bland and presentation was, well there was no presentation. My steak was okay unfortunately the baked potato was hard and not cooked thoroughly. I would loved to said something to management then but the night was already ruined with the meal. Sadly we will not return.

We really enjoyed our meal at The Hideaway. The food, devine. The drinks, masterpieces! I had the land and sea. The medallions were cooked to perfection and the scallops melted like butter in my mouth. Our waitress (forgive me, I'm terrible with names, but maybe Blaine, Bry?- she's been there for 14 years, & was in her mid-20's-) was AMAZING and guided us flawlessly. The cheesecake was some of the best I've ever had & the creme brulee was pretty yummy, too. It was a bit pricey, so not an everyday kind of place, but great for birthdays, anniversaries or any celebration. We'll be back!!

This was probably one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Everything was perfection. The meal was outstanding, the service was impeccable. I had a beautiful fillet topped with 2 perfectly prepared scallops.

The service was great and the steaks were above par, but the price on everything was a very high. Would not recommend this place if you want to goto a high class establishment. There are better ones for the price

Very disappointed! Went for our anniversary my wife's stake was great. My crab legs were over cooked to the point I sent them back. They billed it as Alaskan king crab. But I was served snow crab. Paid 141.00 could of gotten better at a diner. Been there before and it was great.

I liked this but as far as steakhouses go, I've been to better. For it's location, it's really nice. You don't have to go up to Boulder or down to Denver for a nice restaurant. We went on a Monday night and we we're one of only three couples there. We closed the place down at 9:30! Good wine list, nice sides. The steak was good, manchego sauce on the short ribs was a bit much. For dessert we had the creme brulee but it was overdone. Worst creme brulee I've had but still edible. I'd go back if invited.

Food was good, but nowhere near worth what they charge. I got the Wagyu steak, which they have listed under the Best of the Best section of their menu. $65 for the steak alone. It was maybe half an inch thick, and had a big line of fat up one side. Had to spit out 3 bites because they were inedible. I ve had better steaks at Outback for a third of the price. It also took about 75 minutes from when we sat down until when our entrees arrived. Staff was friendly. That s the best I can say for it.

This place was amazing. The service was outstanding and the drinks were delicious. I has the caprase salad and my husband has the risotto balls. They were both okay. I am used to fresh basil with my caprase salad as I am an Italian, so that was a little disappointing. Be prepared to spend $120-150 for a nice dinner for two but it is sooooo worth it. The steak was outstanding. The cream of mushroom soup.... Oh my gosh! I wanted to take some home in a vat. I think it was the best I've ever had! We would definitely visit again.

The food is good.. at best. Good wine/drink selection. Atmosphere lacking..prices are high for the quality/presentation. Staff was good but relays an inconsistant message. (management issues???)
If your looking for Glutin Free...give it a try...if not...I would go elswhere.

Incredible experience. We had happy hour in the bar, then a table at 700. Comprehensive wine offering. Every quality cut of steak you could desire. Sides are creative and delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. We'll be back on Monday for burger night (a staple of every great Indie Steakhouse).

Amazing food, super quiet, and fantastic service and bar! I have been here for happy hour at the bar, too, and the menu there is very good and not quite as pricey.

This place is worth every splurge, though, and the last time we were there a couple proposed :)

I was there for a large group meeting lunch. This was my first time at the Hideaway. The service was great especially for a large group and the food was delicious. The steak tips we're super tender. I look forward to trying this restaurant on my own time.

Mother s Day ruined

Mother s Day ruined
Took 3 hours of excuses about a down printer, kitchen in turmoil.
Toddler grandson and his parents had to leave w/o eating.
When food arrived was cold and pathetic tasting.
Didn t charge us and that was too much

Service and food are both five stars here. Great selection of steak, seafood, and a few veggie options if that's your jam. Our server knew everything about the dishes and was able to help guide us and get us excited for an amazing dinner. Can't wait to go back!

Restaurant was fantastic earlier this year when it first opened, but now it appears that it is in trouble. All sides are overpriced and offered a la carte, ranging from three dollars to an obscene $13 for a twice baked potato. Salad is tiny and trimmed only with shredded carrot and as mentioned, does not come with the entree. Visited on Fathers Day, place was packed and ran out of bread. First round of bread was hard and dry. Server brought a second round but was tasteless. Manager came out a third time and admitted that the bread came from the grocery store (we could tell). At the end of it all, paid $60 for two meals, no wine, substandard food, and service that lied. We were so disappointed that we will never return, wrote concerns on the bill for management to see.

I had the pleasure of eating at the Hideaway for the first time yesterday. The staff was very polite and quick to service. The manager gave us a free appetizer since it was our first visit and it was delicious. The food was absolutely marvelous and we plan on returning very soon!

Extremely, extremely disappointing dinner! The service was excellent, but that's it. This is a long post, but worth reading if you know great food. The food lacked flavor and was bad all around. The Shishitos Peppers had no flavor and needed to be either fried longer or dredged in a batter to add crispness and flavor. The daily soup tasted like pure ginger and the French Onion lacked depth and seasoning. The Ceasar Salad had no flavor and they charged for the anchovies. The Scallops were dark gray on one side (a sign of a dirty pan or oil) and barely seared other side. The chef claimed the were perfect but they were hardly seared correctly. Also, we were supposed to be served Giant Diver Scallops, but were small and not worth $10 each. My asparagus were extra large, which is ok but they were grossly undercooked and lack any seasoning. They were also off colored and not snapped correctly, so had uneatable ends. The Parm Frites had shaved parm which didn't melt into the potatoes and were breakfast potatoes (large diced). Not at all Frites. The lobster was good and the steak was seasoned and well cooked, but chewy. Wagu Steak should eat like butter, so I don't think we were served the right cut of meat (but paid for it). They cahrged for everything extra, including a pat of Blue Cheese Butter for $4.00. There was a COVID fee that they didn't disclose, which makes no sense because their prices are really expensive. I haven't been to any other restaurant that had this charge. They took off the scallops, a whole $20! Even though I commented on other items, nothing else was taken off. We paid $350 for a really, really bad meal!! Saturday nights should always have your A+ servers and chefs. Tonight we got tge A+ server but D- cooks.

I didn't think it was possible to have worse food than the cafeteria at the VA hospital, but I was wrong.
Bad service? 45 minutes to get a drink order taken.
Bad food? Bland. No flavor filet that as a bonus was overcooked. Peppercorn sauce that should have actually had a hint of peppercorn. Did I mention the overcooked baked potato? How does a "steakhouse" miss so bad on the staples of the menu?
At least now I know why Hideaway Steakhouse should stay hidden.
Don't waste your time or your money.

This place is wonderful! Probably the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant, and that's saying alot (I've eaten steaks all around the world). Atmosphere is romantic and cozy. Staff is wonderful, friendly, and helpful. Manager /owner came to check on us. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. Only complaint I can think of is that the sides (which you have to buy separate when purchasing steaks a la cartridge) could have been way better. My risotto was under cooked and luke warm and my truffle frites had no truffle flavor at all. Everything else was wonderful though.

I am a little struck at all of these bad reviews. I have been to the Hideaway several times this last year and love it. The appearance of the restaurant is great- especially if you knew what it looked like before! We usually have the same waiter, and have always had great service- sometimes, it can be a little slow, but enjoy the company that you are with! The steak is great- have never had a bad one. For those complaining about buying a side dish, go to any other high end steakhouse and you will find the same thing. If you want all inclusive, then yes the Outback, Salt Grass or some other steak place might be what you are after. That $13 twice baked potato... it is loaded with lobster, of course it will cost a little more!

Another perk- free parking. This may not seem like a big deal, but really I have wasted a lot of money parking in Denver to eat at higher end steak places. This is close to home, no traffic to contend with, and nice!!

The owner has talked to us at every visit, and really wants the customer to be happy. I really would like this place to make it, because frankly I love it!

It's so rare to find a steakhouse that pulls away from the major chain atmosphere, yet this hidden (haha!) gem will blow your mind and rock your taste buds. Choose nowhere else, cause this place has a great bar, knowledgeable staff, and the best steaks you'll buy. Will be going again for date night, no doubts there.

We enjoyed celebrating our 20th Anniversary at the Hideaway Restaurant very much! We had a great dinner together in this fancy restaurant. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the people were very nice. The prices were also good. Thanks for a very nice dining experience. We'll be back for sure!

Absolutely amazing experience! My husband and I went on a Saturday evening for date night. Food was delicious and full of flavor. My lamb chops melted in my mouth. The garlic potatoes were creamy. My asparagus had the perfect cook (not too soft) and amount of seasoning. Husband enjoyed the bison and it was also cooked perfectly to his liking (medium). Great service, polite and attentive staff. Very clean. Noticed they cleaned tables thoroughly and immediately after others left (due to COVID). Tables were spaced out more than 6 ft. All staff appropriately wore their masks the entire time serving us. We will definitely return and highly recommend!

Steak was overcooked, at a steak house. Service was lacking attention. Managers were overbearing, seemedsdrunk and pushy over eating a side potato, which made us question what was going on. Not worth the price and odd experience

My boyfriend and I had a excellent dinner here last weekend. I would recommend the flaming baked Alaska. Also, I love that our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations.

Went to Happy Hour with my wife, started with onion rings, absolutely yummy, very well cooked, batter was perfect and cooked crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside, we followed that with the beef tips in mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, again perfectly cooked, you could have cut the meat with a butter knife. The food is excellent there.

Took my husband there for our 40th anniversary. His steak was undercooked. The price you pay for the steaks you would expect mouth watering. Not so much. Would have had a better steak at Longhorn at more than half of the price.
