We have been wanting to come here for quite some time, but time and life made it hard. We finally did and have 1 regret, not coming sooner!! The amazing guest service we had was phenomenal, so friendly and above and beyond our expectations. Best date night ever! We will most definitely go back since we couldn't eat all the yumminess in one night. Thank you so so much for being amazing and making our first time very memorable

I'll open by acknowledging that many other customers love and rave about this restaurant, but unfortunately, on the evening we attended, this was not our experience.

We chose the Hideaway Steakhouse to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We intentionally went during the early bird hour, but had to ask to receive the earlybird menu (which by the way, is half the price of their usual menu).

I chose a steak and my wife chose a vegetable medley. My steak was OK, nothing great, but it was acceptable. My wife's meal, however, wasn't correct. It was similar to what she ordered, so she didn't say anything, but realized later, that it wasn't the same menu item she ordered.

Anyways, I will, again, acknowledge that our experience seems to be unique from other reviews, but as for us, we will not be returning.

First time at this restaurant was December 24th for dinner with family. I was extremely disappointed with food quality , food portions and prices for dinner. If you are reading my review, I would definitely not recommend this steakhouse.

The staff was wonderful and so was the GM. We got a little taste of the menu which was delicious and our steak and dessert was fantastic. Took my husband out for dinner and we will probably return soon for mine !

We do a lot of work dinners at this particular restaurant, and last night everything was picture perfect. Atmosphere is always good, the server was fantastic, the food was prepared perfectly, and try to save room for dessert. Cannot recommend them enough for a special occasion.

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary and it was phenomenal. The owner, Scott, was very gracious, and our server, Chris, was the best I've ever experienced. To top it all off, the steak was top notch and the dessert is to die for. I have never had such a wonderful overall experience and it made our anniversary even more special.

I have been here a couple of times now. The first was great but the last time was very poor. There were 2 of us who both ordered medium rare steaks - one came out medium-well and the other raw (blue - seared on the outside). They took it back no fuss but for a reasonably pricey "steak" place it wasn't impressive

Good

I work in very high end restaurants, this wasn't my first rodeo. The owner racially profiled my table by staring at us the entire time to make sure we didn't dine and dash. Another (white) couple who was the same age as us was greeted by the owner. After greeting them he checked in on our table to see how we were doing, but this was after we paid our tab. The server was subpar, the host and busser were both attentive and the hardest workers at the restaurant. Also, our steaks were not cooked to our liking and not worth what we paid. The Capital Grille is a better restaurant over all.

GO TO CAPITAL GRILLE OR RUTH CHRIS INSTEAD... I placed a pick-up order April 12, 2017 for lunch and was pleased with the quality of my food, however the burger that i ordered "House of Blue" was not accompanied with bacon although its description on the menu states that is a topping. I called back to resolve the matter and the hostess advised me that bacon indeed was supposed on my burger and the kitchen believes they put bacon on my burger and to check if it fell off, i informed her that i have looked under the bun, lettuce, cheese and onions and there is no bacon. She proceeded to say the kitchen put bacon on my burger but if i wanted to drive back for the bacon i could. I just got back to work so of course i wasn't going to drive back to pick up bacon. I asked to speak with the manager whom resolved my issue but insisted that the kitchen put bacon on my burger. The customer service i was looking for was for them to apologize they did not put bacon on my burger and rectify the problem. He did compensate me for not having bacon but was basically calling me a liar because his Kitchen didn't put bacon on my burger. GO TO CAPITAL GRILLE OR RUTH CHRIS INSTEAD, they have excellent customer service.

My wife won a 50 dollar gift card from her work to come here. It's lucky she won that, because if we had paid for our food we would have been upset. We ordered a bowl of soup and 2 appetizers, it was 45 dollars pre tax.

The mushroom soup had tough pieces of mushroom in it. I was genuinely surprised when I bit into them. The calamari had no taste and wasn't crunchy and the PEI mussels with the dried out beans were a weird addition to the plate that we both felt took away from the mussels, not added to it. It's almost like they didn't know what to add on , and dried out beans were the closest thing within reach.

All in all, the only reason you got 2 stars is because the employees you have are all nice. Nothing else about the experience warrants more stars.

Food: 4 stars

Food: 4 stars
Ambience: 5 stars
Service: 1 star

Like others have said, the service here is atrocious. I've eaten in the dining room, in the bar, and on the patio and the dining room has been the worst of the three. It's slow, unapologetic, and rude. I think they think they are better than they actually are, and some humility would be nice.

The food is usually pretty good, though the prices are a bit steep at times. They do a really good job with grilled meats and the sides have always been very tasty.

For its location in a residential neighborhood on 112th it has ambience for days. They spent a lot of money and effort getting it to look and feel the way it does, and it shows. Don't let the beat-up parking lot fool you -- it's very nice inside. They even have a non-smoking patio with nice furniture, and that's a bonus.

I'll keep going back but I'll keep my expectations low.

The worst steak house ever. The wife had the toughest over cooked steak. The prices were sky high for at any rate. The sides are priced ala cart which is ridiculous. Only thing good I have to say is that I don't have to eat there ever again.

The vibe and atmosphere was amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food was lackluster and lacking in flavor. The shrimp cocktail was very good, the breading on the fish and chips was nice and crunchy but flavorless. I could taste the oil that it was fried in. My husband loved the fish and chips however, as he helped me finish it because his wagyu steak was way underdone and they cooked it some more but by the time it came out from the kitchen my meal was already complete. The steak also lacked flavor but was incredibly tender. My bet is that once the chefs get back up to par after so long of being closed they will be up to the standard that people who recommended the place believe it is at. It was not my experience, and except for an apology about the steak being underdone not a lot in the customer service arena to make us want to come back. $120 lunch lesson.

A modern take on an old school steak house. Enjoyable ambiance and good service. The food is probably middle of the road for what I would expect from a similar restaurant closer to downtown Denver, but the food is good. I would recommend this place for someone in the area who's celebrating a special event or just wants a good steak with ambiance.

My family and I have been coming here for years for our early Christmas dinner. We had a reservation at 5 pm in order to catch a play at 7:30. Two hours later we still hadn t received our food, even though a few tables who had been seated before us were already served their food and were happily eating. We had to leave before getting any of our food because the play was going to start and we were nearly charged for the entire meal before we asked the server to correct it. This isn t the first time we ve received service like this, and this will be our last time visiting Hideaway. Great food, poor service. Very disappointed and saddened.

We dropped $350 here with another couple and the food is boring, if not bad. Maybe because its in Westminster, the locals love it. But there are so many better options in Denver and Boulder. Our food was average at best. Old school, but not in good way. #fail #boring #disappointed #neveragain

I take everything positive I ve said back - 2 hour wait, mediocre luke warm food, $250 bill, lousy service. A great even good restaurant is consistently so. This place is hit or miss. At the prices they charge they need to be spot on. Never going back. Too bad.

Hideaway is great! The wedge and bone in Rib Eye are the best I've had in maybe forever. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. It's great to have a locally owned steakhouse of this quality. Well worth the cost, about half of the "a la carte" steakhouses I've dined at.

If they have the Niman Ranch Prime Angus chateau-cut steak on the specials list - order it! Their romahawk pork chop is spectacular too. The low-lit clubby feel of the bar and dining room is a respite in the midst of busy suburbia surrounding the restaurant.

We loved this restaurant! Intimate feel, great staff, and amazing food. Highly recommend the short rib lollipop as it was the tenderest meat I've ever eaten. We also loved their rosemary bread and butter sprinkled with Hawaiian sea salt. Their Nutella phylo triangles were incredible! We will definitely be returning to try more of their menu as it all looked amazing.

More expensive than Del Frisco's with a sleazy feel...

Definitely would NOT go back!! The food was good, but over priced - a Del Frisco's, Sullivans, etc. wanna be. The service was rushed, with the salads coming out before we were done with the appetizers and the entrees coming out before we were done with the salads.

What really left us with a sleazy feeling is the bill. a little more than $100 per person. There were two salads and some other items on our bill that we did not order. I brought it to the GM's attention. He apologized and told me the owner was personally looking into it. The waiter (Jason) came back a few minutes later and apologized... it felt more like he was "busted". No compensation at all. Just a "I hope you give us another try" from Kevin the GM. I would have at least expected a free round of drinks... but if the owner and the GM looked at it and did nothing, I suspect it is a normal practice, hoping that folks just don't notice. Not a good feel for a restaurant trying to compete with 4 and 5 star restaurants.

When the GM came by as we were paying the bill, I expressed our displeasure, letting him know that we would not return, that there were too many other options, he still did nothing. Again making us feel that this was normal operating procedure for them.

My wife and I have had almost every single one of our anniversary dinners here since we first got together, I proposed to her here last August.

VERY disappointed with our experience tonight. We've been going for years and have never had a bad experience. It started with very slow VERY SLOW service, steaks we're not cooked per our order, the server had to keep checking with someone to explain what was even on the menu, for desert my wife and I were brought the children's dinner menu ( just her and I for 2 hours at the table) and to finish the bill had to be corrected 2 times. AND WHY ARE YOU CHARGING 2 DOLLARS FOR 1 SQUARE ICE CUBE!!! WONT BE GOING BACK ANY TIME SOON

It was our first time there and we were not disappointed one bit. Everything we had was incredible! Atmosphere was nice, service was great and the food was excellent. A little on the pricey side but worth it if it s a special occasion or celebration.

For the price, the food isn't worth it! Their comment of being nestled in a field surrounded by trees is BS.Directly in front is a busy street. With a water treatment plant directly across the street.Only caters to the Ranch crowd!

Terrible service...the waitress brought out our main course while we were still enjoying our salads and just pushed the salad plates aside. Our salad plates were then never even cleared off the table until the end of the meal. We got the check and the ONE crab leg (I am not embellishing!!!!) that my husband got when he ordered a side of crab cos $27! The fountain in the entrance also smells like rotten fish. We will not be going back.

First time visit and every second of our experience was nothing less than perfect. From a friendly greeting from the host, a congratulatory comment on our Anniversary, a beautiful booth, timely greeting from server, well mannered staff throughout, tasty drinks and tastier food. I felt like a king while dining, as if we were the only people in the restaurant. The attention to detail here is real. Thank you Hideaway for a memorable and special anniversary dinner! We ll be back!

5 stars all the way! This is a great place with outstanding food, excellent & friendly service and that quiet, elegant steakhouse vibe. Really enjoyed it and I know I'll be back soon. Even better that it's only 5 minutes away from me!

We enjoyed a rare date night out here and loved every minute of it. We had the burrata caprese, french onion soup, sirloin with blue cheese truffle butter and frites, bread pudding and some kind of Nutella pastry that's basically ambrosia. We eat our steaks rare, and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. We skipped the wine in favor of mixed drinks, which did not disappoint. My favorite was something with vodka, basil, lemon, and prosecco. Everything, including the service was top notch. This is a true gem that's close to home with easy access and parking. It's nice to enjoy a great dinner without having to go downtown and without the chain restaurant nonsense. Highly recommend!
