Just had the French dip steak sandwich. I highly recommend it!
Just had the French dip steak sandwich. I highly recommend it!
Steaks were amazing and the double baked potato perfect. Most try.
This place was awesome, it is a little pricey, but by no means is it overpriced. The owner came over and spoke with us since it was our first time and really made us feel welcome. Food was very good. The ribs had good taste but had a ton of fat on them. I wasn't a fan of that, but a lot of people like them that way. Go for the calamari and one of their steaks or chops, those were both AMAZING.
Went there on June 1st. Food was great for everyone in the party, except for my wife's. She ordered her Steak Med/Well. Came out Med/Rare. We asked the waiter, to have it cooked a little longer. He took it back. She waited about 25 minutes. The steak came back and it had not been touched. It was now cold and just as rare. We showed it to the waiter and he agreed. He said the steak would be taken off the bill. I did not check the bill till we got home. They had not taken the steak off our bill.
Service is great. Food and quality of what you get for your $, not great.
This is on my perennial top 5 in Denver list, so yes it's always solid. Went for brunch this time, lots of unique dishes that you won't find at your typical restaurant, including plenty of vegan friendly options. The fried chicken and biscuits were tasty, as was the huevos rancheros.
Went in on a Friday night and on the outside it looked packed but we were sat right away and greeted nicely. We ordered the 10 Oz. Strips and they were lovely but the asparagus and Brussel sprouts were to die for. Dessert was lovely Nice price great atmosphere. Will be returning soon
For my first visit last Friday I was really excited to spend whatever the cost on a great meal. Unfortunately that was far from reality .. I ordered a shrimp saute as requested by the waitress. And they tasted like hotdogs. For my drink I ordered the most expensive on the menu. Manhattan, watered down with a bunch of ice. And for dinner I got a 14 oz steak with the the oscar crab on top. Haha more like crab toes not legs. And for 17 dollars extra you would think to get nice pieces. Lol bottom of the barrel and smushed . The size of peanuts.. to top it off everything tasted the same. There was no difference between taste from my steak to crab, or asparagus. Every thing was drowns in butter and salt. I want my money back. I even left a note on the back of the receipt with my number. Thinking I'll get a call or something but nope. The worst Dinner ever . Especially considering that it was for a birthday and cost over 100 bucks for 2. That said, they should remain hidden
This place is fantastic. Being someone who just started to appreciate steak and the medium cook me and my husband wanted to go on a date night and I have never been to a fancy steakhouse. We randomly picked this place because it was closest More
Wow! This place is amazing. Great for special occasions or date night. Romantic atmosphere. The service is always top notch and their steaks literally melt in your mouth. Pricey but so worth it!
Wow. I have never written a review ever unless it was 5 stars until now. I am all about supporting local businesses but it was bad!!
My wife and I have been wanting to try the place for a while and randomly decided to try it. Food wasn't great steak wasnt cooked right they put it back on the grill and it came back well done, salad was smothered in dressing so we asked for another and the owner/manager said he would take care of it but were then charged for it, but because we had a few bites of the first salad they charged us for 2/3rds of it. It was almost comical. No joke if I had outback steakhouse quality i would have given a 5 star review. Au gratin was the best part of the meal. Way overpriced suprised they are still in business..
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last night and it was wonderful. This is an upscale restaurant, so we knew what to expect on the check, but it was 100% worth it. It was quiet, it was a great atmosphere, and our waitress, Jamaica, was fantastic. She was incredibly kind, gave us plenty of time to talk with one another, choose our order, and made sure we were taken care of without us having to ask. She answered all of our questions, and had great demeanor. This is a wonderful restaurant for celebrating or just enjoying a nice night out with friends or loved ones. We will definitely be back!
The absolute best steakhouse that I've been to in years!
Hideaway Steakhouse is truly a gem! Relaxed atmosphere, a bit pricey but the Hubs and I counted ourselves lucky when we found this place at the last minute. His Manhattan was the best he'd ever had and his bone-in ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. My feller is a bit of a foodie, so if he's happy....
We went here for a company dinner. The food was good and the host was attentive. From what I understand it was quite pricey, but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the food.
Had a wonderful lunch! Great atmosphere and wonderfully cooked food. Awesome lunch specials, Chef Steve is phenomenal!
Best steak in Denver. Very friendly and great service. Lunch menu is super. Great place for business meals.
Great steaks with an intimate atmosphere. Delicious desserts.
Let me tell you, it is more expensive than you'd expect. However, everything was quite excellent and service was impeccable. Be wary of the prices though!
Excellent service and amazing food. Mark was the best waiter.
Very good meal and service. Filet mignon was delicious. Second time here and will definitely come back. Thanks for a great anniversary dinner.
Have always been pleased with the food heee. Very, very good. It's on the more expensive side, but so worth it!
The food was perfect, although a bit more expensive than we anticipated. The service and atmosphere more than made up for that little surprise.
Atmosphere is amazing and the food is good, the high booths give a lot privacy and are fantastic for a date.
However their Bar is a disgrace, Beer capital of the world and not a single local Beer, if you tap Sam Adams over any of the award winning breweries you have right in your backyard you have no business running a bar.
Bourbon is a trend that will die, however it is still hot right now, so have a bottle or 2.
Yes, it does have a hefty price tag. But what a great evening and dinner we had. Food was excellent, drinks were also made very well, dessert was outstanding. Everyone who worked there was very friendly, our server was great and the manager/owner? Came by our table more than once to check in. We will definitely return.
Very expensive, but worth it. Always wonderful staff interaction, superb menu and atmosphere.
The food and atmosphere were awesome. The servers are professional and get you everything you need.
This is a more expensive place to eat, but worth it
Everything tasted delicious and service was excellent. There was an unexplained covid-19 fee which I think should have been disclosed either before dining or when the check came but other than that it was a great experience.
Great food and great service, looking forward to our next dinner there. Definitely a secret little hideaway.
Ordered Caesar Salad and French Onion Soup. Salad looked like a week old salad, as it had wilted lettuce with brown edges. Soup was extremely salty, making it inedible. Caused diarrhea. My partner ordered Prime New York which was definitely not Prime as it was tough, no marbling whatsoever.
Way too expensive for the quality of food you get. It's good food but not that good!
Very poor service. Had to ask another person for drinks and a third for refills. Wife ordered a salmon with no wasabi glaze and the brought it out all over it.. never seen the waiter till she was done she scrapped it all off. Steak also was not very good.. cooked to medium inside correctly but out side burnt. Disappointed!
We saw this place on a google search and decided to give it a try for a date night. This place was awesome. Steak was cooked perfectly and the sides (twice baked potato, mushrooms and Parmesan Truffle Frites) were very good. The wine was a little pricey, but that is to be expected. David our server was very knowledgeable. He recommended the sauce for our steaks and he was right on. We got out for under $200.00. We will be back.
Exceptional all around. We had no idea this gem was hiding in Westminister. We'll definitely be going back.
Have to say we were kind of forgotten the waiter we had never checked on us got the wrong order
The place offers a fantastic range of fresh food. I love eating here. Employees are always kind, prices are fair and the place is always clean.
Took my wife and kids there for Easter Brunch and was very disappointed. I have been and worked at 5 star restaurants and don't mind the price if the food and service is good/great. My daughter and I had the fried green tomato benedict, my daughter-in-law had the sausage biscuits, son had the ham and eggs and my wife had the steak and eggs. One bloody Mary and $355.00 later we were very disappointed. My eggs benedict was basically flavorless, the "brunch" part was salad, shrimp ( you have to peel them which makes a big mess) tomato or carrot soup a few breads and 3 types of desert. At over $70 per person definitely not worth it. I have been there two other times, once for drinks and appetizers and one other time for dinner where I was a guest of a client so I didn't see the bill. In addition, there was no toast at the buffet so my son ordered a side of toast for $5.00, ridiculous. We definitely will not go back I would rather go to the Charthouse, Ruth Crist, or Morton's. MUCH BETTER FOOD for the price.
It offered a nice upscale atmosphere with moderately expensive food that was absolutely delicious service was amazing
The food is great, the servers are great. Everything there definitely reflects how grand and luxury everything is, but they have a selection for everything. What was a tiny bit weird is there's a 3% kitchen fee, which no other restaurants I've been to have that, but I don't mind paying for it.
Not worth the price. I don t think the $52.00 ribeye steak is truly dry aged. What is that for creamed spinach? It was tasteless and watery. How is this place managing to stay open with charging these prices for sub standard food? Ruth Chris they not. Service and ambiance were great.
Very high end restaurant. They have veal, crab, escargot, etc. They also have lots of unique dishes like breaded salmon with wasabi and fried brie. They also have a full bar and a happy hour. Very nice place with really nice food. Great environment. Pricey.
Went here for Thanksgiving dinner and had a wonderful time! My wife thoroughly enjoyed their Thanksgiving turkey dinner and I had a delicious, tender ribeye. They were quite busy, so I recommend making a reservation which is easy yo fo on Open Table.
Very nice lunch menu, everyone loved their choices.
Truly a great place. Excellent service in every way. The owner came to our table and introduced himself too. Very cool. Will be back for sure.
I prefer steakhouses that aren't chains, and places like this are the reason why. We were seated immediately and kindly by a smiling hostess at a nice table in the rear dining room. The service was prompt and professional, and the wine presentation was done correctly. Kudos to "Chris" for being excellent at his job. The menu was substantial without being overwhelming, and they offered some elegant appetizers like fresh oysters. I would highly recommend this place over any of the chains in Denver (Del Frisco's, Ruth Chris, etc.). If you go, make sure to get the Manchego and Cheese side with your steak; it's phenomenal.
I thought it was delish a bit overrated but still very delish!
Awesome food. Best birthday ever. Great service. I'll be back
This place is very nice and the staff is always very attentive. The prices are insane in my opinion. You'll easily spend $50 just to eat some chicken here. Definitely an upscale place.
Best steak I've ever had! On the pricy side but worth it for special occasions. Would highly recommend.
Service was not great. The food was good for two of the three, not so much for the third. Probably won't return. Certainly won't try to celebrate a special event.
Absolutely outstanding restaurant experience. Impeccable service, outstanding meal. A perfect experience. The owner Chris is a wonderful host and I cannot wait to return. Thank you to the entire team. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome and well cared for.
Good, quality food. There is better in the Denver area for the price. Would recommend Elway's or Bastiens over Hideaway. Overall, it was a positive experience with good food.
I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for years now, I finally go.... Having high expectations because it's a 3/4 star restaurant. Well by far the worst restaurant I've been to. Service was horrible... Took them 30 minutes to get our server to acknowledge us 30 minutes to take our drink order... 30 minutes for bread. 30 minutes for our food which was decent... Not worth the price. Throughout the whole time we were there we were looking for our server and everytime we found him he avoided us. Our food came out the same time as people who arrived 1 1/2 hours after us. Absolutely worst. Save your money and go to Shanahans, it's a better restaurant of food and service if you want to eat high end.
This was our third visit and each time has been exceptional. The service is top notch and the food and drinks are great. We brought guests who were very impressed and all of us will return! Thanks.
Went and sat down. Got our menu's. Waited about 15-20 minutes and was not addressed at all by a waiter or waitress so we left. The only person doing there job was the water boy. People were seated after us and already ordering. 1st time there and never going back. How are you going to charge 40-60$ a steak and have terrible service?
I wasn't terribly impressed with the cut of meat I got for the price, but the strawberry banana diplomat sent me straight to heaven. I've never in my life had a dessert so delicious that it stayed on my brain as long as that did. The appetizers were interesting and delicious. The service was a bit spaced between visits (which allowed us to have an conversation), but they were still very attentive.
A nice special occasion / date night steakhouse, with an expansive wine list, and excellent service.
Hideaway Steakhouse is truly a gem in the Thornton / North Glen area. Their food is wonderful and the staff is so friendly! We love this place.
Clean, rich, elegant, expensive.
Service was great. We received a complimentary appetizer with Salmon on top of a cucumber with some white creamy thick sauce and a few greens. It was pretty good! The plate looked better though. It looked like one of those things you see on cooking shows with a nice plate presentation. I assume we got it free since it was our first time there (hint, say that for a small free appetizer on a pretty plate).
Dinner was good, my wife's was much better. She ordered a surf n turf special with an 8oz Filet and an 8oz Lobster tail, along with whipped potatoes with bacon chunks, and a brussel sprout medley. Every bite was excellent. $78.00 excellent? That depends on your income.
I ordered a 10oz Filet with the blue cheese sauce. The sauce tasted great, but the meat had tendons all through it (no one's fault, buying steak is a coin toss isn't it?). There wasn't one bite of the half I ate that didn't have a piece of unchewable gristle in it. My dogs loved the other half. $50 with no sides? ...
The beer was beer. My wife loved the wine. I have no idea it's name .... It's was suggested by our server.
The bill was $168. We left $50 for a tip. The place is great. If your income/inheritance can choke down a $220 dinner bill you will love it.
Food was bad, service was even worse, and we were profiled! Will not be returning!!!
Man the bar just bamboozled us out of $20 at the end because of a mistake the bartender made SMH. So unfortunate because we weren't even really caring she forgot to put our happy hour item in before happy hour ended.
Instead she "felt" out the situation to see if we would remember that she forgot the order. once we let her know that we didn't forget, she then tried to infer that we had been drinking too much? She did this rather loudly to let the entire bar know.
Recently we ran up a $300 tab here so two drinks for us to be drunk is comical. What a hard turn this place took because a bar tender was embarrassed to say she forgot to put an app in.
Anyway we're sober down the street getting drinks in a couple more munchies at a place and probably won't return to hideaway. Which is sad because our two dining room experiences were amazing. don't forget the server's name but he has five children and is the bomb at fine dining service. we once brought our six-month-old in and she slept through the entire experience next to the fire and he provided us by far the best dining experience I've ever had.
I also have experience in fine dining so I'm a little bit harsh on my critique. mistakes happen, people would much rather you own up to them then try to pretend they didn't happen or even worse blame them on the customer? Maybe she's had other mistakes and didn't want to seem incompetent to management.
If you're in this place skip the bar unless they've made changes in the last couple months.
Went from hero to zero in one trip to the bar.
Been to about a dozen steakhouses in Denver, and this one is by far the best! Great food and service!
Great atmosphere and excellent service. U have something different every time I am there and the food is always fantastic.
Food and service was good, but was no where near what you would expect for the price. Will not be returning.
Updating my older very positive review. Once again had a reservation and walked right in on a Saturday night. Food came out at a nice steady pace and everything was fantastic. Steaks were cooked perfectly even for the finikey in the group. Cocktails were also right on point. Manager visited the table and we spoke again on the way out. Great experience!
My boyfriend and I came here, dropped over $200 on steak and drinks and let me first say, YIKES. The Steak was mediocre and they did'nt even cook it properly. We ordered "medium rare" and they brought out "Medium". They took it back to try to fix this and they yet RUINED another piece of meat and brought out a "RARE" one which was still cool in the center. Needless to say I had to give out dog a $90 piece of steak. NEVER AGAIN. And f.y.i the waitresses SUCK here and have ZERO customer service. I give this place 2 thumbs WAY DOWN.....YUCK . The Chef's should know how to cook a proper steak and should know the difference between Medium Rare and RARE.
Great vibe, friendly staff, delicious food with very generous portions. Prices were reasonable. Decent wine selection. Great date night spot!
We came here with my brother and his wife and all I can day is wow. Best food perfectly cooked and nice romantic setting.
Pricy but great food and service. Perfect for a cozy date night.
My wife and I have been coming to Hideaway for years. The food is delicious and we like the fact that's it rarely crowded and the service is really good. Nice not to have to go all the way to Denver for a really good steak.
