I recently purchased four chairs from Hickory Park, and my experience with Diane Christensen was terrific. As I am not from NC, I was a but hesitant dealing with a store I could not visit. Diane was very knowledgable, contacted the furniture vendor directly to get my questions answered and always got back to me quickly. This entire process was conducted over the phone and Diane made it as easy and seamless as possible. Home delivery service was great, too. They had to reschedule for an injured driver but the men who delivered the chairs were friendly and courteous, especially after a long drive in Thanksgiving traffic! I just love my new chairs!! I would not hesitate to work with Diane again when I am in the hunt for new furniture! :)
I had the pleasure of working with Karen Dillinger of Hickory Park Furniture. She was well versed with the Hancock and Moore Furniture line. She provided us with various colored leather samples, along with various grades. In speaking with her and describing that we were looking for a certain wine color she found the exact one and sent us more samples. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and so easy to communicate with us through phone and emails. We ordered 2 Hancock and Moore recliners (as replacements for a 20 year old set). They were delivered yesterday and we are extremely pleased with them.

I was a little hesitant at first purchasing from this place as I was not familiar with them. However, after doing a ton of research at Basset (Brand I had chosen for furniture) I determined I would try Hickory Park Furniture. Susan LeFevers helped us order our new sofa over the phone and had it delivered to us 667 miles away. Amazing. We first saw this sofa some years ago and fell in love with it. When we were ready to buy we had moved away from where we saw it for sale and through the power of the internet came across Hickory Park Furniture and our sofa. Susan was provided stellar customer service and helped us wade through out upholstery choices with patience. She provided us detailed advice and support each step along the way through the order. Even more amazing is that they delivered our sofa from half way across the country (north/south), fee of charge and on sale! Who could ask for more. Some day we hope to get down to the NC area and see this place for ourselves and meet this great lady... but till then we will keep them and her in mind when we need more furniture.

Two months ago today I spent $1924.93 on a Paliser Power Loveseat and with help drove it to my home in Ashe County. After six weeks, very little use and virtually no abuse the left side controls ceased to work including the USB port. Today was the first opportunity I have had to return to Hickory Park and try to get information and help to remedy situation.
Paul Wellman immediately came to my aid, made copy of my invoice and explained next steps. Wisely he wanted to ensure due diligence and took down my contact information. As I drove home someone named Mary called to update me that my situation was being fully examined: first, a check would be made to see if Paliser loveseat was under warranty; and, second, what would follow once that was known.
I remain impressed with the quality Customer Service and effort shown to mitigate my malfunctioning loveseat. The 150-mile roundtrip drive was worth the investment of my energy and time. Though not resolved I have every confidence my issue is being taken seriously.

After browsing online for the bedroom furniture, I was delighted to find the best prices and best service at Hickory Park Furniture Galleries. My main contact was with Mat Tully, who was from beginning to present, wonderful to work. Not only was Mat kind and patient during the process, but kept me informed by email at every step, leading to the delivery to our home. Every time I emailed a question, Mat was prompt to answer. I felt as if I were speaking to a friend. When the furniture arrived, there were some drawers that didn't work well; Mat immediately contacted repairs, and Mary Lineberger sent a really nice guy to our house to take care of the problem and showed my husband what to do if it happens again. This is a first class company who stand behind the products they sell. We are completely pleased with our purchase and with everyone who was involved. I could not be more pleased with Hickory Park Furniture. We worked with Lauren Brown and Susan LaFevers to ordered Comfort Design leather couches. I had so many questions about the furniture and they both were so helpful, patient, and prompt in response. Thanks to Covid 19, we spent enough time in the house to decide it was time for new furniture. I had my heart set on a sofa that I saw on the floor of another retailer. My wife and I looked around for a lazboy recliner and found a great one at Hickory Park online. Susan was very helpful showing us different models and fabric samples. We finally decided on one and Susan got our order process started, which consisted of order, make, notify, and delivery. It takes about 2 months but worth it. The entire event was smooth and went without a hitch. Highly recommend HP and Susan for your best buying experience!

I have never had such a seamless experiance working on line. Diane was on our request that required some custom ordering. she got the answers and came back. she followed the order all the way through including getting updates along the way. i would use her and not buy any furniture anywhere else before checking with her first.
Purchasing from Hickory Park Furniture, especially with the assistance of Diane Christensen, was an excellent experience from choosing the furniture to the actual delivery. Diane was in contact every step of the way and made the process seamless. Gorgeous furniture; Diane Christensen is the best!
Initial impression of Hickory Park furniture was pleasant. The sales consultant was very helpful. However, after they got their first payment things started to go downhill. A few days after the order had been placed they informed me one of the pieces had been discontinued. Due to the delay in telling me, I could no longer order from the second furniture store I was purchasing from, as their furniture had already arrived, and I didn't want to be out the extra fee for an additional delivery.
It took 2 months to get our delivery, only to have it include a broken piece and a bed where the headboard and foot board didn't match. It took an additional two months to get these pieces replaced. The delivery fee was quite expensive and they refused to refund any of it.
However the worst part was their lack of professionalism. They were very quick to blame the delivery company (hired by them) and the manufacturer. But took no responsibility for the delays themselves.
We are happy with our furniture, but the delays of delivery and blame game played were simply unacceptable.
Update: After writing this review I was contacted by both a VP and an owner of Hickory Park apologizing for the customer service and refunding half of our delivery fee. Perhaps we were just unlucky with our experience.
In April 2017 we took at trip to Hickory, NC to shop for a few pieces of furniture. To our benefit we stumbled upon Hickory Park Furniture Galleries and met many very helpful sales associates. One such designer, Julie Eckard was an absolute delight to work with and helped us find the perfect spindled chair for our new room. We received the chair per a freight delivery service in which she coordinated to ship with other furniture that we purchased from another store in the Mart - - saving us some freight charges. We couldn't be happier with the chair. The story does not stop here. Fast forward to January 2018. We found chairs that we absolutely loved and our first thought went to Julie. I contacted her to see if she could get us those particular chairs or something very close. Julie's effort was pretty much like a Star Buck's drive through. She listened to what I wanted and then went to work on making it just to my taste. She found that the better thing for me was to turn me over to a person in Hickory Park Furniture Galleries that sold the very chair that I wanted! What? Turning over business when you are in sales is almost unheard of? I am thrilled to have found a store that takes care of the people that come there for a service. A business can never be more than the people it employs and this store has a real treasure in Julie Eckard. Diane Christensen was an excellent salesperson and a delight to speak with during several calls to ensure that what I wanted to order was everything she said it would be.
