Unbelievable! Very nice place and VERY people friendly. Don't miss this stop, you'll regret it.

Great place, good food and the shows are good as well specially when you get to make your own chocolate.
Surprisingly busy for a Monday afternoon but worth it. Seemed that they only had two times for the paid events which was rather disappointing. You absolutely can't beat Hershey's chocolate from Hershey's!!! Candy prices are slightly more than you'd pay in a convenience store but was expected. Other souvenir prices seemed very reasonable!
Store is good. Lot's of choices and prices are reasonable. The new ride is not as good as the old one. Too digitized for me.
A must see for anyone who likes chocolate. A very friendly knowledge staff....making our own candy bar was amazing...and there's free parking
One of our favorite places. Celebrating our anniversary!
Fun fun fun! Make your own candybar was fun but a bit pricey. Everything there is expensive. Milton is probably rolling in his grave about that but its a fantastic attraction with lots of history
My review is for the store only. I did not take the Tour or do any of the other activities.
First I'll say that Hershey Chocolate World is impressive in it's size. It's a huge place, especially considering that it's focus is so limited in scope. You can buy Hershey (or Reese's) branded clothes, toys, keychains, magnets, cups, and pretty much anything else that one can imagine.
Of course you can also buy candy. This is where I felt the store fell short. I was hoping to find something unique. Ultimately, though, 95% of the available candy could be bought at any corner market. In most cases it was only the available sizes that were at all unique. There were a few odd flavors of certain candies I hadn't seen before, but those were few and far between.
We left with a couple of items, totaling under $10. Judging by what I saw in the arms or carts of others, that's probably about the least anyone has ever spent there.
It was very crowded and noisy, as you'd probably expect. I can't see any possible reason to return. Maybe if I was already in the neighborhood and was wanting a whole case of Watchamacallits.
Interesting history on the Hershey chocolate business. There are several interactive exhibits for visitors, but many require an extra fee. Be prepared for swarms of people.
Find out how much chocolate you can carry. Great discounts and choices.
Chocolate world is a must when visiting Hershey park. They stay open an hour after park closes and there is plenty to do for kids.
Chocolate World is always a great place to visit and always a 5 star visit but my review will be about the safety and sanitation procedures in effect right now.
They recently re-opened after being closed due to the pandemic. You can see that safety of their employees and guests are of utmost priority at the moment. The employees at the entrance of the parking lot will hand you a small flyer with instructions and point you in the direction you need to go. As you leave your car and approach the building, there are employees making sure you have your timed entry pass and a mask on. The temperature check is rapid. Just step on a pad and look into a small tablet that reads your temp. As someone that overheats easily, I appreciate that the area is well shaded. Then it's off to the entrance where your timed entry pass will be scanned. Right inside the door, you will be given a sticker to wear to remind you of your exit-by time.
Everything in the building was well cleaned and employees were constantly cleaning. If you had a question about their new safety policies, there was always a 'Safety Ambassador' around to ask. There were markers at the food and register areas marking six-foot differences.
The menu is very limited but the cupcakes and cookies were already in their containers and ready to grab by the employee to give to you. They did not come in to contact of the product, just the paper bag or plastic container your treat is in.
You now exit by the milkshake stand but leaving that way gives you a nice view of Candymonium and Chocolatetown.
Overall they are doing a great job of keeping everything sanitized and safe for employees and guests. Which is great, I definitely will drop in (with a timed entry pass, of course) when I'm visiting Hersheypark this summer.
Nice place for a short visit good candy pricey food
Fun, friendly, and delicious! From the free chocolate tour to the huge selection of candy, it is a place for everyone in the family to enjoy!
So much fun! Loved the ride, singing cows, and information through this simulated "factory" tour. We vacationed in PA for a week and went on the tour 3 times.
The "Factory Tour" Is excellent! We did it twice, and definitely not just for the free chocolate at the end!
The candy selection is understandably enormous. The prices are good and though the checkout lines were very long, they move very quickly. The entire building smells delicious upon walking in. What's not to love?
Overall, a fun experience! Making your own chocolate bar was fun and engaging, but I was disappointed with the 4D movie experience. There was nearly 15 minutes before the movie part even started, the message conveyed felt off, and the under the chair 4D effect actually hurt my legs. If in the area again, I'd come back, but would definitely skip the movie part.
Nice place , specially to visit with your children. The free ride is main attraction and you find lot of other paid attraction. There are good variety of chocolates , but they slightly higher priced. Would have been great if we could get chocolates at rate better than Walmart. Also the deserts in the cafe r very limited. Should add more attractive deserts
Is very good, I like the atmosphere, it's cozy, the employees treat customers well
Kids loved the tour and making their own candy bars
Not as good as it used to be every time they improve it gets worse.
Brings back memories of when we were kids. I want my own melted chocolate tub, just saying.
Fun experience! The ride that shows you how Hershey makes candy is free, and there is plenty of candy and other delicious treats for sale. It's a nice stop if it's a rainy day, or if it's a really hot one and you need a break from the park.
Great tour of Hershey's chocolate factory. Truly interesting with an amazing store!
Could do without being made to have your picture taken before the chocolate factory tour ride. Skip the picture area by unhooking the chain in the railing.
This place is not equipped to handle way more people then usual...
Lots of shopping opportunities but a bit pricey. The hours for each attraction varied and were kind of odd but it's probably because of Covid. This is definitely a kids paradise. We made our own candy bars which was cool. Good day trip for families.
OMG. It s very good experience. The chocolate tour and trolley works were awesome. Our kids have enjoyed the chocolate tour and we went twice for chocolate tour. On a New Year day, it was not crowded and weather is also nice so we went there. First three hours of parking is free after that you have to pay otherwise you should get all tour tickets for $40. The amusement park will be opening in summer 2020 add a great attraction to the tour
It was really good to experience the history of chocolate making.
It was a lot of fun and I think everyone should go and experience Hershey's. Best chocolate there is hands down!!
So many things to choose from, although one of the biggest attractions where children put together there favorite chocolates was broken, that's BAD , should make it a priority to have it always working for the customer.
Because of the rain the store was overcrowded but they were doing there best to accommodate everyone
Great attraction for all ages. We ve only done the 4D movie and the free chocolate tour ride, but both were super fun! We also got to see the parade, which started at 11 AM on a Saturday and kids loved it. All staff are most friendly and helpful. I wouldn t recommend the food court though.
The kind of place where's there's always something that has changed everywhere you go. Been coming here since I was a kid - so understandably I'm a bit nostalgic for how it used to be. The ride is somewhat forgettable now in my opinion. The free chocolate at the end is always a nice touch though. A one stop shop for anything made by Hershey. If you're in the area - definitely stop.
We went to celebrate my sons birthday. He was really excited to do the create your own Hershey bar. Unfortunately when we got there they said they had some technical difficulties and they had to close it from the day before. My son was very disappointed as was I. We were leaving that day and we weren't coming back. I wished they would have done something besides just giving us a refund to make up for the disappointment. It was very disappointing and there was no communication before hand to let us know that the attraction would be closed. However I did find chocolate we couldn't find in the stores.
This was so much more than what I was expecting, as there are so many things to do. I was also impressed with how clean and well kept it was. We had a blast during our visit here to see the Easter Bunny. There are so many different activities and tours, we will definitely be going back to explore more of what Hersheypark has to offer. Anyone visiting Hershey, PA should stop here for some fun.
Ever since they moved production to Mexico, the tour is no longer the same. You cannot smell freshly made chocolate throughout the tour since the factories are in Mexico. It's such a shame that another American company moved operations to another country in favor of the bottom line! Chocolate World will never be the same again!
Highly recommend you make the trip to this PA state gem. There was so much to do. The tour was so neat. The 3D movie was entertaining. And the food options inside were plenty. It was a wonderful experience, especially for the kids. Best milkshake I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about this attraction.
Chocolateworld is a very crowded and overpriced candy store with a few extra attractions thrown in. Most of the candy can be found cheaper at other retailers. The free factory tour is just an amusement ride, not a tour of a real factory. We enjoyed the chocolate tasting and the trolley ride -- they were informative and entertaining. The make your own chocolate bar was interesting to see, but you just use a console to customize your candy and the actual production is done behind glass on automatic equipment.
Overall it was worth seeing once, but we won't be returning.
I did the chocolate "factory" tour. Really it was a cartoony ride that was overcrowded with long lines for a 5 minute ride. You did get a piece of chocolate at the end.
Also so much in the shop was so expensive! I definitely had a different idea in my head about what a factory tour would look like.
Great learning experience and the shuttle bus was a lot of fun. The tour of the factory was Awesome! And you got to check out the 4D movie too!
Loved it...the ride makes you crave chocolate and you get a free sample!
This was our 2nd trip in about 3 weeks. It was less crowded this time as it was off season for the park.
Fun time experiencing it with my daughter and her friend now that she's a little older. She didn't remember much from the 1st time she was there.
Very good experience, for adults and children alike. Staff were all friendly.
There's awesome stuff to do no mater how much money you have. Which is rare these days. I have 3 children.. 10, 8 and 10 mths old and we all loved it.
They need to turn tthffe air conditioning on. It was hot as heck in there.
One of the best experience and a must for all ages.
The create your own candy bar wasn't what I thought it was. I did create anything the machine did.
The best part of the factory tour and glad to see they gave it a little upgrade.
Always fun but the old ride was better. Bring back the old song!
It was a great experience. Very kid friendly. Highly recommend making your own candy bar. Very well done and designed to give you a good product. No experience like it.
Amazing place with a lot of fun! the free tour takes about 30min. You can also make your own arranged chocolate bar with 20ish in 30 min. Cupcakes are also good as special souvenir.
The place was very crowded but the lines moved very quickly. Prices weren't outrageous. It's just a fun store. Be sure to get a cupcake to eat while you are there.
Love that the tour itself is free but I think they changed the song that the cows sing from when I was a kid.
Don t walk in and think your walking out without buying chocolate.
It's an amusement park how do you not have fun
Wooden ride's are the the best
You got to see it for yourself ... History and sweet stuff all around. ... Gotta take the Tour Bus .....
It's a great place to stop if you need to stretch the legs for a bit, but the tour is kind of boring. If you are looking for every kind of Hershey's product ever made, then this is the place to go. We found items we had never seen before, like hazelnut kisses and a 5lb chocolate bar.
I have lived in Hershey for a long time and I have been to chocolate world a LOT. One thing about it is a lot of people in the reviews are complaining about the place being packed. To get out of the crowds and get the full experience you have to get there on a weekday in the morning (9am to 12pm) or late around (8pm to 10pm ish ) These are times Chocolate world shouldn t be too crowded. Also another thing that a lot of people have been complaining about is the tour ride. This tour ride isn t really aimed towards adults, so adults might find it a little cheesy. I m not saying all adults would find it cheesy, but some adults do and I just wanted to throw that out there. Some people are also complaining about how they don t see the real factory. The tour ride doesn t go through the real factory, but does show the whole process on how to make the chocolate. I highly recommend chocolate world for everybody. I hope you find it enjoyable!
It's all chocolate..
Bring your kids..
Factory tour was great & free..
Chocolate tasting experience also great..
Parking free but tricky because you cannot finish it with in 3 hours..
Try to book your tickets online because weekends and holidays are usually busy..
Overall a great experience..
Great place!!!yummy chocolate shakes and delicious cupcakes!!!
Way to expensive, and to much just to get to the tour
It's become a market for over priced items a corporate mistake to make money instead of focus on the children and people who travel to see the site. We won't be back
