VISITED MANY TIMES... FAVORITE PLACE TO STOCK UP ON MY JOLLY RANCHERS MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER LOVES THE HERSHEY FACTORY TOUR RIDE...THIS VISIT WE MADE OUR OWN CHOCOLATE BAR AND TOOK THE TROLLY RIDE...IT WAS ALOT OF FUN...WISH I WOULD'VE DONE BOTH SOONER
A delightfully sweet experience!! Smores cookies OMG!
The chocolate tour was very fun, and it was free. The trolley ride was fun and enjoyable.
First time visiting. I was amazed the ride is free. Blew my mind. Also get small hershey's chocolate bar at end. It was I formative and kids enjoyed it.
Plethora of options available. You'll feel like buying the entire mall
Took my husband there for the first time. He is a chocoholic. We are from the West Coast. He had a great time.
They would get a five but we only got one piece of chocolate after the ride
More pricey than department stores but I still had fun
Beautiful place vacation and visit. had a blast here with my family.
A very delicious place to visit. You have the rich smell of cocoa and the candy is reasonable.
Another great little stop close to the park. It's worth walking over and checking out. This is a nice place if you bring kids set some ground rules as they have lots of stuff for purchase.
Amazing park! Lots of fun things to do. Chocolate world was awesome!!
Lots of fun. Terrific food with a chocolate "twist".
Chocolate world is very enjoyable and entertaining
Had a blast the wooden roller coasters are rickety and terrifying just like I remember. Perfect for roller coaster.
awesome place to visit for chocolate lovers.... Chocolate tour is the best.....and u also can buy biggest Hershey bar
Good family fun and a great selection of candy/souvenirs.
Great experience the pricing is separate from the other parks. Lots of candy to buy.
If you like candy them this is the place for you to go.
Tourists trap. The factory tour is not a factory tour.
Nice tourist place. I took the tour and shopped in their store. Tour disappointing, shop had several items I have never seen before. Worth seeing since it's free.
The best lot of chocolate qnd love the things there
Wonderful time spent here. I even was invited to taste test! So cool!
The kids thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate factory tour ride. We rode it twice. We will be back again soon, hopefully.
Went there for chocolate and a big car show had a very good time long ways from Wisconsin though go there every year
I really enjoyed my visit! It was very entertaining and informative. I do wish the Souvenirs were more than just chocolate I mean I absolutely understand it s a "chocolate factory and the chocolate is wonderful. It s only that after everything is said and done.... all the things I received will be eaten and nothing to really to hold onto for memories! I mean pens, magnets or even a simple sticker or decal would have been nice also the food was a bit expensive for what you get. I spent four dollars on a Water! My biggest complaint is about the Hershey kiss Barbie doll that I spent $14 on only for my daughter to open her an find a disfigured doll arm... which okay I ll over look it.... but then her hair is legitimately falling out in HUGE chunks! I ve bought tons of barbies from tons of different places! Dollars store dolls for $1 and NEVER EVER have I experienced an issue this severe issues. One of the dolls ear ring was also completely broke off and loss inside the box when opened!!!! Completely disappointed by this. My daughter was so upset about her doll being bald and disfigured!
You can't go wrong with this place. Cute ride that shows u how to make chocolate. And you can shop until you drop from candy to neck pillows. Also have like shakes, hot chocolate and baked goodies
Loved my experience here. It was fun and informative.
Go early to avoid the crowds, there's three hours free parking if you're only going to Chocolate World and not the amusement park. A lovely free tour ride in simple chocolate at end. Are we secretly low priced gourmet Scharffenberger chocolates this cost twice as much at retail shops.
Very commercialized but a fun experience. Would recommend buying tickets ahead of time because it's always busy
Hershey's Chocolate World on a rainy Good Friday 2019
We pre-ordered online the Adventure 1 package & meal add-on for our family before arriving at the Hershey's Chocolate World. The Adventure 1 package includes four activities:
1. Trolley bus tour describing the history around the Hershey town. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable and provided us samples of different chocolate products including a large full size milk chocolate bar at the end of the tour.
2. Customizing your own chocolate bar which allows you to choose from four base chocolate bar with options to add chocolate chips, rice crisps or 3 other ingredients. Then you can create your own front cover with name, year, graphics etc. The tin package that house the chocolate bar is a nice touch.
3. Chocolate testing experience offers you an opportunity to sample four (4) types of chocolate including dark chocolate with higher cocoa content to milk chocolate. The session teaches you how to use your different senses (taste, look, listen and smell) for experiencing and appreciating chocolate.
4. 4D movie is a mystery solving action that includes breeze and water sprinkle during the movie. It wasn't that interesting and can be skipped.
When you purchase the ticket online, you will be asked to select the timeslot for each activity. For example our trolley bus ride time slot was 12:45 pm to 2 pm. This means you are supposed to be on the 12:45 pm bus. I didn't know that...so we ended up being on standby for the 1:30 pm ride.
The $10 meal add-on is an excellent idea. You will get a selection of hot entree, pizza or sandwich plus a drink. If you buy those items separately, it would cost you more than $15.
Also, the Adventure1 includes the parking fee which would be upto $40/day if you park the whole day.
Great fun and sweetness all around. Make your own candy, chocolate tour and chocolate tasting experiences were well designed. Loved the trolly ride around the town (fall colors were bonus at this time of the year)
Good place to hang out
The restaurant staff were mad
The park tickets were pricy
So much always. Our family has been going to Hershey for almost two decades and it just keeps getting better.
Stopped here to make a chocolate bar. Very fun. We made reservations before we got here which was well worth it. We put on aprons and hats and were lead through the process of building our own bar. We chose the ingredients to go in the bar, we designed the label and then we watched the bar being made. It is worth the experience.
Great place to visit for a free little ride in the middle of winter. Like a mini amusement experience.
They don't call it the sweetest place on earth for nothing!! Chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! Take the tour you get a free piece at the end! Great thrill rides!
Lots of chotchalite and wite chackolite all tasty and healthy
This is my 2nd time here with my family and just like the first time we experienced racism! Both times middle aged women with kids spewing hatred! Hershey Park will be at the bottom of my list for family fun. 2 years in a row I won't give this park at 3rd times to let us down as a family!
Fun place for the family children just love the sweet taste of the camdies
Lots of fun for the whole family. Get tickets online and scan from your phone to avoid lines.
Chocolate world has really changed in the last 20 years. There is so much to do it can be overwhelming. The ride has been nicely upgraded. The shopping it everything you want from a candy store.
Then they have numerous extra experiences.
Its soooooo busy, mass chaos inside the Hershey chocolate experience...CRAZY!
Family Friendly and Fun!!! Great attractions shopping and food court!
I loved the make your own chocolate bar and 4d movie. The trolley is a more educational experience so I would recommend it for the little kids.
Excellent place for a family. Customer service was exceptional. Awesome selection of attractions. My only complaint is that their map needs to be updated. Navigation was somewhat difficult when looking for places to eat.
You know, it's actually pretty neat. We just came to take the free tour and get out. It's actually a ride that explains how to make chocolate. Singing cows and everything. Naturally, kids would love it.
So much fun. Even as an adult. Its Hershey's answer to epcot. And free
The best! Everyone is soooo nice and willing to help with any thing. The place was closed and we went to the store and stayed for 4hours. Making the candy bars was not all that but everything else was great and fun!
It was good. I liked it. Only doubt? That the chocolate making. We had to wait till 5:15. We didn't do it.
Hershey's Chocolate World is an area unto itself within Hershey Park.
At the chocolate world, you can take a tour of the "factory" (in quotes because it's not really a factory), create your own candy bar, do the tasting experience, watch the "4D Chocolate Mystery" movie, and grab some stuff at the food court.
The actual tour itself is free, more like slow ride through the factory like you'd find in Disney World or some such. It's a nice distraction and take about 20 to 30 minutes to get through.
Creating your own candy bar is nice, as is the tasting experience. Personally, I could take or leave the 4d movie experience, but my kids enjoyed it. Please note that these experiences are *definitely* not free.
Which brings us to the food court, bakery, and candy store. The food court was ridiculously overpriced in my opinion for what you received. The workers and attendees merely went through the motions, and definitely seemed to not care about their jobs or the customers (with the exception of two employees who definitely went above what was required). The pulled pork sandwich which I got was 11.95, and was only slightly more than what you'd get at a church picnic or backyard BBQ. Seriously. The bakery was not quite as bad as far as prices, but it was close.
The final stop was the candy store and gift shop. The gift shop definitely contain some items unique to Hershey. Candy, however, was not one of them. While there were some good deals on the day that we were there, you could do much better by going to your local Walmart and getting the candy there. As far as trinkets and knick-knacks go, magnets, keychains, stuffed animals, etc., they're about standard in price and quality when compared with other theme parks, gift shops, etc. The place was also packed to the hilt. My wife remarked that the place was a madhouse. She was one to the mark. Definitely hold on to young children when you're there, lest they disappear into the maddening crowd.
I would advise doing this experience with a Groupon, or coupon from local travel guides, etc. It's a nice experience, but the prices and crowds ding it one full star.
Very busy even late at night however no problem with the checkout line have to say it's a wonderful place
Huge selection of all things Hershey and not too unreasonably priced.
