It's always great to soak in some R & R at Harrison. It's worth the drive.
It's always great to soak in some R & R at Harrison. It's worth the drive.
When the resort is busy they won't let external guests to use the hot spring pools. Also the website, brochure and lady at the help desk each gave us a different price.
Great the pools are awesome and the staff are very nice, cant wait to go back..
Great place to relaxation. however it would be great if adult pool was far from kids.
We spent two nights in the old middle section. Really pure bad.
Very outdated, it stinks in this part, the rooms are super noisy, rooms not to sleep in heat because of the heat and NO air conditioning !! Lots of outside noise such as public in the pool until late, extraction from the restaurant.
"No response at night at the service desk for help and the next morning also not helped or heard by the manager.
The place itself is really out of date.
Weekends huge bustle of local families on the beaches.
Really shit Harrison Hot Springs and also the HHResort, a waste of our money.
Clueless new ownership, quickly ruining an at one time good place
Hot spring pools are very therapeutic. The lake views are lovely. The rooms are Ok, they are clean and the staff is awesome. There are great restaurants both in the hotel and in the village. We live less than an hour away and it is a lovely relaxing getaway. The. Copper room dining and dancing is fun, but sadly the band is changing soon.
Hot pools are.awesome. We enjoy the ambience and beautiful scenery. It's peaceful.
Easy to find, just follow the signs. Any issues we had we're efficiently handled. Tasty food, relaxing pools, beautiful views, and friendly staff.
Pools being lovely is about where it ends for this "resort". Purchased a getaway package for a weekend away thinking the experience would be similar to other resort stays around the world. Sadly staff service is non existent to blatantly rude. The included dinner is definitely not worth what this restaurant value it at. Save your money book just a room no "included" meals and eat at the settlers pub, a third the price, triple the portion and service you expect to find from a resort.
Enjoyed hot tubs
Breakfast @ the Lakeside Cafe
Awesome! Awesome personal omelettes made for individuals
I work hard and this place is perfect for doing nothing and relaxing
Hot springs were nice and service was fine but rooms were pretty outdated and therefore didn't seem worth the price.
Very dated. Disappointed by the housekeeping. We just checked in and there was a quarter of a toilet paper roll left. Cobwebs all over the TV set. Carpet and tubs are old. Rust is noticeable in the tubs. Beds are very uncomfortable and the aircon is loud and crickety. Worst nights sleep ever at a hotel. I'd expect more from the premier resort at the entire lake.
The only positive is the lakeside restaurant and the lobby areas are still nice.
Staff didn't even tell us which tower we were staying in after handing us keys. Had to go back in line just to ask.
Will only do days trips to Harrison unless a better place of accommodations shoots up or this resort undergoes renovations or upgrades
Went there for the first time with my husband and 1 year old toddler. Beautiful waterfront setting. Loved the warm shallow pool. Quietest times were in the mornings. Gets more crowded after 9am. Reasonable rates for reasonable rooms. Partially renovated throughout. Location was awesome because when my toddler was done with the pool, we could just zip across the street to the beach and to the park a little further down that had a playground. Beach was great but beware the lagoon area as it was full of geese poop and a local told me that it can cause swimmers itch if your young ones are swimming in it as the waters on that sheltered side are more stagnant. Spa was the only thing I would dock negatively for because it had shockingly steep prices and no RMT available so you can t even claim any portion of any treatment. Lovely easy getaway. Would definitely go back.
Went back to check out resort after last year disappointment (see previous review). No changes, unless you count slightly worse! I took pictures of filthy worn out carpets, dirty floors, gouges in walls. Disgusting, dirty, run down. 4 and 5 star reviews are fake! Beautiful location and they are letting it rot. What a shame
The room was ok... But the hot springs are very relaxing. Staff are friendly. Will come back for sure.
I went into the hotel to ask them a question. They provided me with an answer.
This place is great and I totally understand why it was so crowded. On weekends, expect lots of people in the pools, We went in February and it really felt like a party place, if you get a room close to the pools, you probably won't be able to sleep until 11 PM.
I take one star out for the amount of hot pools available. There were 2 pools active when we went and one of them was way warmer than the other.
The restaurants in the resort are very good and moderately priced.
Bring sandals for the pools! They sell some cheap ones in the shop for 6$ a pair.
The place is decent, They need to clean their pools, seen a dirty condom in one. But mostly, the issue is the staff there is unbearable to talk to. They have a million excuses for why they are incompetent! I tried to get a refund and the staff gave me the run around! Like I don t want to stay at your nasty resort! Remodel it! Upgrade the rooms! And change ALL YOUR STAFF! I would honestly firing everyone and start a fresh slate! Maybe the staff would start to respect the customers!
Lovely place to get away from it all for a short while. Not too far from Vancouver but feels far removed.
The rooms are nice/clean but somewhat dated depending on which building you stay in.
It's all about the pools though. There are 5 of various temperature. 2 indoor and 3 outdoor. One of them is adult only, and another can be used for swimming lengths.
Parking is paid whether you valet or self park. You may be able to find free parking just off site and walk in.
My only complaint is that it's very busy. You never really get much space to yourself in the pools.
The last visit we had to wait nearly 30 minutes in the check-in line. I recommend not arriving promptly at 4pm but wait until 5pm if you can.
I have been going to this hotel and spa for years now, and every time i come back it keeps getting worse. Service is terrible, staff is useless and copper room dinning has gone in the toilet. Went there to have great meal and was informed that they will only be having a buffet and not serving off there regular menu. Also for a room in updated part of the hotel is way overpriced when the pools close at 11 pm and check in is 4 pm. If the high price is a reflection of using the pools it would be nice if they stayed open all night, so there is time to use them. Wont be going back unless they magically give me a free stay hahaha.
Spa was great, and hot springs were really nice. Annoying though that I had to pay $18 to park for three hours after paying so much for everything else!
This Place Is Great For Travellers, And The History Is Gold! I Loved Being Able To Wake Up, Nice And Fresh And Get Some Starbucks, And Then Go To The Beach Without Taking A Long Drive!
Service, great. Rooms, good. Spa/pools, great. Food, incredible.
Staff were all friendly, and the hotel was clean with great room service. A little noise in the hotel rooms, you can hear all the other guests walking down the hallway or flushing toilets above etc. But other than that it was great! Hot pools were lovely, especially with a choice of 4 pools.
We is d the getaway package. Overall it was a wonderful two days trip. The hotel is old and give a nostalgic feeling. The pools outside are so exciting. Breakfast buffet was good too. My only problem with the whole experience was the dinner option. When we booked the package they told us it will be a 3 meal dinner at copper restaurant. What they didn t say was that it s off menu and from a separated menu... if you want to eat from the menu they give you the same credit as what you paid for dinner. Quality of the special menu was not like the regular one and it had very few options for example only one dessert option... So I personally will consider the options without the dinner offer next time. I can just choose to go to the restaurant whenever I want without the need to add it to my package.
The hot spring outside can get pretty crowded especially in the evenings. Early morning pools inside are really nice.
If you stay more than a day use the pool between 11-4pm. It s between checkin and checkout so the pool area get s less crowded...
There is a walking area next to the lake to the source of hot water. There is a trail at the end of that for people who look for even more space to explore. Overall it was a really relaxing experience and I loved it!
Just drank at the bar, service was good, lake is huge.
A great getaway, the pools yes plural we're relaxing and restorative. Will be back.
Loved this place. Very relaxing even for just one night.
Fantastic food and the hot spring pools are very enjoyable. Only reason for not having 5 stars is the rooms need an update as they are not in the best shape.
The service was good. The rooms we stayed in were dated.
Our room was fine. The shower had mould in the grout and sealant. TV service had issues. For the money that they command, I expect more. I have been here several times over the years and I do not see reinvestment into the property.
Relaxing and beautiful place. Long waterfront walk. This is a source of hot springs.
Great spot. I love walking along the lengh of the beach and having a bite at the Settlers pub. I haven't stayed at the resort but my daughter has and been quite happy there.
The pools and grounds are well maintained at Harrison Resort. Several different choices for indoor, outdoor, and different temperatures of pools to steep in. Lovely, relaxing. My only complaint is noise at night from a ventilation system or some kind of fan that ran all night. I slept fitfully, even with ear plugs. The staff are all kind and helpful. In retrospect, we should have asked for a different room. I thought the fan would eventually go off but it didn't. We've stayed numerous times and this is the first time for this problem.
Came to Harrison for a night away and was so disappointed in this hotel. For what should be a world-class hotel (it definitely has world class prices!), it left a lot to be desired. Our room was incredibly outdated: black marks all over the walls from moving furniture, carpet coming off the floor, hardly any plug ins (had to move furniture to find extra plug ins for devices), terrible TV (fuzzy reception and $25 to rent The Avengers!). We also had to pay for parking which I would think that for almost $300/night, you could include a parking space. We did not have bathrobes in our room and when we called to ask for some they had run out. We finally did get some delivered to our room so we could go to the pool. The only reason I gave this stay 2 stars was for the pool. It was a relaxing evening spent in the adults only pool. They definitely could benefit from poolside drink service though!
Breakfast in the morning was as to be expected. So so buffet with average food. Didn't receive any service there (poured our own coffee, got our own food, even had to get our own cutlery and mugs from an adjoining table because ours wasnt set properly)
Honestly really disappointed in our stay at the resort. The lineup to check in was almost an hour and a half just to get our room. We missed tea time, which we were really looking forward to. Our room was musty so we kept windows open all day but had to close them at night because the noise from neighbours was too much. We had asked for a cot and they provided one after mistakenly bringing us a crib first (for my 12 year old). The fridge didn't work so we had to throw all our snacks away and the fan we hoped to use to drown out noise at night also didn't work. Barely any sleep both nights we were there. Pools were overcrowded. We still managed to have a lovely time despite it all, but doubt we'll go back.
Very relaxing. Perfect place to get away from the stressful day to day life.
Nice rooms are dated but nice - they are small rooms ask for king size
Very beautiful city and this hotel is perfectly situated. It has hot springs for their pools.
Relaxing atmosphere and good place to recharge.. Not too far away from the city for a quick getaway. Love soaking in the hot springs to relieve body from stress. Good gelato place in the area.
I did not like it. It's an old building, the rooms are kind of smelly and price for those are exorbitant.
Great place for a romantic time, or even with small children. You can get totally dressed up or wonder around in your robe after a swim.
Rooms are a bit small for 6 people, but all the pools are heated. There is no diving board or diving area.
From a recent experience I recommend checking on other events booked in the hotel for the times you want to go...I stayed at a time when 2 separate conferences were there and it was awful!!
The pool was full of drunk, loud 20 somethings making it totally unappealing and inaccessable. And the walls did nothing to block the noise, making our room uncomfortable as well. If this sounds like your flavor, please go to Las Vegas instead!
Not worth the price at all! The rooms are very dingey and all of the food is very over priced for the low quality they offer. The pools were nice but very overcrowded and the staff were friendly.
Great place, amazing pools but the problem was out door pools are only open till 11pm.and the day after when we checked out from our rooms, the lady gave us pools Keys and when we stepped in, a guy with 2 other ladies came in and started to yell at us to get put of the pool you guys are already checked out.however, we had no idea that we have to leave before 1 because no one told us about it.the behavior was absolutely unacceptable because he kept arguing even when we said sorry and it was a misunderstanding. Overall ots a beautiful place to relax and chill .
It was raining when I came in December 2018 but a beautiful view.

very instagrammable place
Check in Sunday was painful: extremely long line ups which took 45 minutes. I know because I came 15 minutes before check in at 4, and it took till after 430. Incidentally they give out cookies and tea during that half hour so the first floor is absolute mad house. Breakfast the following morning is like Costco in Richmond on Sunday: busy, chaotic, and everyone overworked and understaffed. Avoid Sundays if at all possible if you want a relaxing time. Rooms in the old building are very old motel 6 style, amenities very bare. The new tower has nicer rooms probably.
Beautiful place, wonderful staff and pools where fantastic!
Always a pleasant stay. We always stay in the cabins not the hotel
Hallways smelt very musty and old. Bed was nice but the bathroom was very small and old with half the lights burnt out. Pools were ok. Was informed afterwards that there is no smoking on decks. There was no visable signs saying no smoking and just seemed like a cash grab when charged 105$ Would not recomend. If you are looking for great hotsprings i would recomend the kootenays. Lots of very nice hotsprings there with way better hotels
Stayed for two nights in their cabins... Loved the cabin, the only reason for 4 stars is they were not taking care of the snow until we asked them to. I had to dig myself out. Otherwise extremely happy with the resort
This place is far too expensive for what it offers. I paid $330 for an overcrowded Spa experience. I can't imagine how any quality in the water can exist with the amount of chlorine they put in these pools. The staff were very good at running a puppy mill, truly not interested in being personable, more interested in churning people out as fast as they could. Everything is very overpriced, condition of the hotel is in poor shape, smelly carpets, just unpleasant on many levels. I think this hotel may have had its Heyday in the 70s, but it's far outdated and whoever owns it is getting filthy rich.
Did not stay here, but attended a company Christmas party. The food was AMAZING! They set up 2 buffets, and wow! Something for everyone. Will be going back to try the restaurant on site. Thanks.
Friendly and accommodating staff and a very picturesque location!
dated rooms. Bags of linens left all in the hallways. The staff seem tired but helpful. The pools are great, but the hotel definitely needs to invest in an upgrade. Outdoor pool washrooms should be avoided - use your room washrooms instead.
This is not the place to go. Service was at best surley. The accommodation is in fire need of upgrades. Spent the weekend with a broken toilet. Not worth the excessive cost. Not worth half of it. There are other good hotels within 3 minutes of the public hot spring. I would encourage everyone to go to these.
Avoid taking the Heritage Building (no air conditioning and need for carpet renewal). The spas are very good, but quite busy. Good overall experience, but we expected more.
I gave 4 stars, because I love it here. Unfortunately it's gone a little down him since they sold the property a few years ago.
Beautiful resort, friendly staff in an excellent location.
Good hotel but you need to stay here to get full access to hot spring pools. Cabins are a good option for a more cozy experience.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Cant say much about the food there but I was only there for the hot springs
Love love love would recommend staying here staff is awesome the hot spring pools are wonderful the copper room is a blast from the past that is alone worth the visit...
From the moment we checked in we were taken care of, kind staff, nice rooms, the cheese and fruit plate was lovely and felt like celebrities when we got to take our food back to the room like room service. 10/10 would recommend.
Lovely hot springs, well maintained. The best hot spring resort in the province hands down
This was the single worst hotel I've ever stayed at. If they're still calling it a resort, it should be your last resort.
At a lofty $250 a night, which included access to hot springs, we had a tiny room that wasn't properly cleaned, a backed up toilet, and a lumpy poor quality mattress. Parking was $12/night and was so overfull we had to park in the staff parking.
We were the Lucky ones. One friend of ours had loud, defective lighting, another had no lights at all (as in they were never installed). They were in the "New Building" for an extra $100/night.
They appear to put all the money into making the lobby decor pleasant, as it was the nicest part of the experience.
Next time I have to come to Harrison for an event, I'll stay in Chilliwack and save $100.
Had a really great time with my wife on a recent little getaway at the Harrison resort. Hadnt been there in a while and was happy to see it still has its charm. We got a cabin which was really clean when we got there and felt nice and cozy. I'd like to get the cabin again next time I go, too bad there's not more of them. The dinner atmosphere was very relaxing and they had a nice band playing soft music. Whoever wanted to dance just got up and showed their moves on the dance floor. Food was reasonable priced and portioned. Very nice couple of days for a quick getaway from the City.
