One of our favorite weekend away destinations. Some of the rooms are a bit dated and it can be crazy busy on long weekends. Great hot pools outside and in.
One of our favorite weekend away destinations. Some of the rooms are a bit dated and it can be crazy busy on long weekends. Great hot pools outside and in.
The main attraction are their hot spring pools and the fact that they have separate family pool, adult pool and quiet pool is a big plus. I tried to check in early today and the Front desk staff was courteous and took the initiative to get me into a room immediately when she found out I am a repeat customer for many many years.
Neat little place to hangout for a couple of days. The hot springs are really nice. I could have spent much more time there. The hotel is showing it's age, however.
Enjoyed a quick overnight stay in the heritage part of the building. Spacious room, yet somewhat dated. Pools are relaxing, and they weren't overcrowded - nicely heated for the colder temperature days. The hotel has remained very much the same from when I last stayed at the resort, around a decade ago. Copper Room is a nice restaurant for dinner or drinks, and the live band is quite good. Recommend a nights stay at Harrison to recharge every once in a while.
Rooms are old and need some updating. We stayed in the older part of the hotel and we were warned that it was an older room with no air conditioning. Pool is still very beautiful and relaxing.
Quiet, and comfortable. Nothing at the hotel will wow you, but everything is clean and nice. People are very friendly and the pools are great!
The resort is beautiful and the 5 hot spring fed pools are lovely. There is great space for children as well as adults!
It's a nice little resort on a lake, the hot spring only feeds this resort as far as I know. But you can walk down and see the real spring. As for rooms, we decided to bring our dog as they offered dog friendly accommodation. And I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. It was a little worn, like the desk chair had been chewed on by a previous visitor and the dresser looked like the veneer was peeling off. But the bed was looked new and everything was clean. It's worth mentioning that the door on our room had large gaps around the edges and allowed alot of the light from the hallway to leak in and we could hear clearly what people were blabbing about as they walked by our door. I would say this place is more of a 3.5 rather than a 3, if that was an option
Great hot springs spa beautiful grounds great service and cuisine. A must visit in BC.
The spa and pools were very nice. We were apart of the old wing which was nice . Not five stars nice but nice enough to fit me and my mom comfortably.
Love this place, could use some updating but the staff are amazing. Morning buffet was worth it, dinner buffet was not.
Longer adult pool time would be nicer, having from 10-11pm is not enough. Kids pool should end at 9pm and give adults 9-11pm at least or leave it open until 12am...we are on vacation, let us relax.
Again, people need to stop being rude to the check-in staff, they don't come to your job and yell at you, so don't be like that to them. They are treating you with respect so do the same for them.
Parking was fairly expensive for those who are visiting the hotel but not staying overnight.
Our Favorite place to go to relax and power up again. Just love all three Resorts hot tub's. So relaxing. We always request a Lake view room & just love the scenery!
I have not been to this hotel in 15+ years. Nothing has been updated since then. There used to be stunning decorations around the hotel at Christmas. Not this time. The front desk really needs to up their hospitality skills. I did not feel like a valued guest. It took over an hour to get bath-robes delivered, even though after 30 minutes I went downstairs and let them know that they hadn't been delivered. We got back from dinner, and still no bathrobes. Key card was demagnetized, causing 3 trips to the front desk (I know how to use a key-card, I do stay in other hotels. These door locks are not the new style where you tap the top of the door). The room was shabby, although this is the newer part of the hotel. There are no usb charging outlets, which is pretty much standard an any hotel these days, and the wifi was weak. The pools were nice, but not nice enough to warrant the cost of this hotel. In short, this used to be a very classy place to visit. We will choose somewhere else next time.
The hot outdoor pools are open until 11am and the indoor hot tub and meditation pool are open until 1am. Bring your travel.mug and drink your beverages in the pools! Or visit the pool side bar in summer. I love that I can wear my robe around the resort.
The west tower is great and newer.... The main building is old and they don't have air con in this building. I love this place so much that I'll put up with the old fashioned curtains in these tiny, dingy rooms.... The beds are comfy, usually the price is way cheaper and they seem to be the only rooms available short notice. (If you call to book a room last minute and they tell you that their rooms are sold out, just hangup and try again in 15/30min...)
There is free parking around Harrison village nearby if you don't.mind a short walk.
If you like rocks and gems and big foot stories make sure to visit the happy prospector store on your way home. It's about a 5min drive from the hotel.
This place is VERY dirty now, nothing like it used to be.
Location was perfect, right on the Lake. Our room had a beautiful view! Everything was clean, and we had our own bathrobes. The service was excellent. Everyone was kind and helpful. The only thing was that the channels didn't match what was on the guest guide. Also, not very many channels available.
The hotel is outdated and has a bad odour in the rooms. They did not have fitted sheets put onto the mattress which was concerning as when you re sleeping the sheets move around.
Slippers are usually complimentary to the rooms esp when they have nasty rug in the rooms but they wanted us to pay $8 a pair.
The only upside here is the mineral pool which is open till 11 and relaxing.
Do not recommend the hotel.
Great resort, right in front of the lake. Love the pools
The resort has definitely aged some while prices climb. The pools are enjoyable. The rooms are clean. The buffet breakfast was disappointing. Lacking in variety and high price point. The Bell service was amazing.
The resort is very beautiful and well managed, in a gorgeous setting, and the pools are so relaxing
Very family oriented -- we plan to make this an annual trip!
Was there for a conference over a weekend. Great staff is all i can say. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and accomodating. Great venue. Its only an hours drive from Burnaby.
Love staying at the resort. After 30 minutes in the pools you feel like you on vacation for a week. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Fabulous trip and stay. Perfect. Been wanting to return ever since. Might just make it a tradition.
Love going to this Resort for a romantic getaway with my wife. We both love the Spa and make sure we have a massage when we are there but they offer much more than that. We also make a point of having dinner in the Copper room and dance the night away to live music. We end the night with a late night soak in the hot springs. The following morning we have a buffet breakfast in the restaurant and head back to reality. You will love it!!
Really good food and an awesome band at the copper room. It's the best place to eat in Harrison.
Feels like a mom and pop hotel / spa. Was very relaxing in the winter cold, 8/10 would come again
Amazing outdoor pools. But staff need to do more to enforce the rules. There were parents throwing their children into the 'quiet, no jumping' indoor pool and rowdy people lying in the chairs on our patio after dark. Took away from our relaxing holiday with my Mom, sister and Grandmother. Also, they need to make the balcony doors lockable from the outside..defeats the purpose of being poolside when you have to go all the way through the hotel to get to the pools. Extremely thin walls and gaps under the doors..there were children running through the halls and it was as if they were in our room. Also, check-in took forever..they really should do something to address this. Best beds I've ever slept in...all of us agreed that they were amazingly comfortable!
The Harrison Hot springs spa was great for spa but the accommodation in the resort is not that impressive!! I booked a room with Lake view. But the rooms patio was not clean. I had to request for a Robe and wait 30 minutes for it to arrive and a mean person delivered it. It's not even busy time. I dont why they would provide such bad room services!! Itsexpensive for what we get. People at the front desk knew what they were doing and helpful..cooper room has good food !! Overall not bad.
nice family get away or personal renewal... booked my stay during spring break so a bit rowdy but the hotel is comfortable, the warm pools delightful, and the spa offers some great treatments
Superb guest services and cottages with cozy fireplace.
Hot spring pools were great, adult only pools so you can relax, indoor pools open until 1 am, the Copper Room food was excellent, great atmosphere on the dance floor.
Historical, unpretentious, beautiful, relaxed. Year round Harrison hot springs is a great place to stay. The outdoor pools and indoor pools are nice. The water is not particularly intense in terms of natural mineral content in smell or feel. It is nice though. The surrounding area is quite beautiful. The service is always helpful and friendly. I Always enjoy my stay.
Best time to rest ever. Career personal were awesome. The lines were fair, needed more personal when super busy although prompted in gathering information. Shuttles to restaurants would be cool on time managing busiest hours. Loved the stay all the same.
We came from US and found this place online. When we were there, the front desk lady was mean to us. I don t know if she discriminated against us. The springs were clean but the weather was too cold. The springs water was cold, so we only got a little time to enjoy it. The rooms were clean but old and classic. Would not recommend this in a very cold weather.
Lovely resort. Great selection of pools. Wonderful view of the lake with many good restaurants in walking distance.
I didn t even get a chance to stay. The entire reservations team and reservation process put me off completely. I tried to book a room as a present. I tried to pay for the room on numerous occasions before the party arrived. I received no help from any staff via email. I tried calling and my call was forwarded 3 times and was still not answered. I went around in circles until I finally decided to cancel the booking due to utter lack of care from the reservation team. The service was so exceptionally bad that I had to write a review to warn others about the utter lack of disrespect shown to me by the staff at this hotel.
The pools and service are always amazing at Harrison. It's not a far drive from Vancouver and definitely worth a visit.
The room service is very good and the swimming pools are amazing. Overall, a great place to stay when you visit Harrison Hot Springs.
Was attending a wedding here and asked the bartenders where the washrooms were located. They told me that only hotel guests can use it so I needed to find a guest. Very rude and dismissive towards me. Thumbs down.
In response to the high parking fees. It used to be free. There is ample parking in the mail parking lot, never seen it full. The extra fees are just to increase their revenue. The last stay, my room had a defective key card, instead of just giving us another room, the staff fiddled with it for our entire three day stay. Another small point, the website promised free WiFi. when I got there the staff wanted to charge for it. Come on folks, you are over priced anyway, why try to squeeze the guests for every bit you can?
This was a lovely resort in terms of location, price, and amenities! The downside is that it seems like a bit of a money grab in some areas. One example is that guests have to pay for parking. Overall it was a good experience, though.
Disappointed that 99% of visitors were not wearing masks, and about two thirds of staff. Some stuff a bit overpriced, but a great destination area.
If you stay here you must try the breakfast buffet. It's incredible!
Nice staff, cool experience. Might not want to visit during the wonter months as everything else is closed.
Stayed July 25th night with family. Old style hotel with good pools. Not much else to recommend for. The internet is awfully slow. They list complimentary tea in the mornings and afternoons. it is all a farce. The morning tea is offered before 6:30 AM only !!!!!!!!!!! The afternoon tea for 30 minutes only in areas where it takes 15 minutes to find the location. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
Very dated and somewhat shabby hotel now. It was once a great hotel in a fabulous location. Not worth $300 a night .
When you go, do take spa at the resort. Worth the experience.
Great pools. Some are open and kid free until 1am. Ask to be in the newer part of the hotel.
Great pools. Could use some upgrades to hotel in general
Location is 5 star. Adult Hotsprings open till 1am, which is nice-- fire pit runs into the night. Small hike close by, close to restaurants and attractions. Rooms are average, no microwave + small fridge. Service is good, everyone seems friendly and attententative.
This is a incredible place that you can enjoy with the whole family. There is a barbecue area, and also you could rent jet skis, kayak, and other activities.
The pools were a lovely temperature. But they were overcrowded with loud drinkers. The grounds and bathrooms were pretty dirty by Sunday. The massage, however, was excellent and therapeutic.
I attend professional events at Harrison Hot Springs Resort at least once a year. Every time, the staff is very accommodating and helpful. Some of the rooms (in the original hotel) are outdated, but I think that's part of the hotel's charm.
The Copper Room is okay, but there are other more affordable options in the neighborhood.
Great service and food. Wonderful, in fact. The Hot Springs is fabulous. Romantic getaway. A fabulous restaurant with live bands and ballroom dancing or even the Tango. No country music here!!! Also great for conventions. The little town is great!
Large group event in the copper room, service was excellent and the food was amazing. We have always enjoyed the exceptionally high standard of service with the Harrison Hotel.
Nice location. Decent swimming pools. We stayed only for 1 night. Very hot in our room. Room was clean. Friendly personel
A lovely place to come and destress from the busy city life!
The location is right at the water, so walking out for a stroll is easy. During winter and fall, they decorate the street trees with lights to provide a Christmas atmosphere.
As for the hotel itself, I stayed in the older wing of the resort. Even then, the rooms have been updated with lcd tv's and premium washrooms. The beds are clean and the regular Amenities in each room is there. Room sizes are smaller though, but it was good for me.
The pools and hot tubs were convenient to access and there were more than enough places to relax.
Nice old hotel. Was there for a conference, accommodating staff. It was during a cold snap and the balcony doors didn't seal. They gave us extra blankets and a space heater as all the rooms were full. Not much to do other than hot tubs and gym. I found it weird that the TV's didn't have pay per view or anything.
Beautiful views and good hiking trails.
Pools are lovely. However, resort does not seem as well managed and maintained as in previous years. West Tower units are getting rather tired looking and could use a refresh. Guests are now permitted to have dogs (large and small) and cats on the first two floors of the West Tower - something quickly noticed by anyone (with a discerning nose or average hearing) walking through those floors.
We paid 200 for a night at this resort. What a rip off. Need major updating! The hallway on the 8th floor we stayed on stank body Odor! It was disgusting. The room doors closes and locks are not very smooth. So you hear every other people entering their rooms. The furniture in our room was really worn out and the carpet long the wall appeared dirty! Not good!.
When we arrived at the reception, there were tons of people, and really noisy kids. We could barely hear the lady behind the front desk. I will not comeback ever. Overrated big time.. spend just a little more money and go to Sparking Hills in Vernon.
The resort old price is not reasonable! Pools are nice tho.
Breakfast buffet (22$) was really good
Great accomodations and relaxing pools made for a great weekend. Wish we had booked at the spa earlier though, as they were booked solid once we got here.
Pretty good, kinda whack that the spa is closed at night. Good pools, hot spring was relaxing but it brought out the pain of my injured knee again so if you've previously had an injury that did not heal properly prepare for the pain to come back.
Relaxing executive stay...amazing scenery and wonderful pools and live music dancing.
I love Harrison. The only thing is this time it seemed like there was a lot of drinking & carrying on up until 11pm when the hotsprings close. I don't remember this from past visits. I felt I couldnt use the pools in the evening which was kind of upsetting. But the rest of the experience made up for that. The service was lovely throughout the entire hotel too which is always appreciated.
Beautiful hotel, great service from the valet to the front desk staff. The hot spring pool was amazing. Our room was fantastic! Great shower pressure. Modern facilities and amenities even in the older part of the hotel. Would definitely recommend and would stay again on a heartbeat
