It was a very relaxing trip and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was average.

Great experience for the hot pools but to use them you have to be a guest at rhe resort. Expensive for the quirks of the building. We were in the oldest built in 1926. I can live with the creaks and groans of an older building, even appreciate them but the paper thin walls are a lot harder to swallow. You can hear conversations, (and other stuff) on both sides of you and from above. Since pools are open until 1:00am it makes for interesting listening once you're awakened. Will go back but will ask for an east tower room. It has balconies and is 60 years newer.
Staff are great! Springs are hot! Owner needs to spend some profits on renovations rooms halls etc. To get to 5 stars!
we have been to Harrison several times. My kids love it, I think the area is beautiful and we love to hike around the lake. I have tried every wing and this time we stayed on the pool view side which I thought would be fun. It was extremely loud, LOUD, right up until 11pm. I blame this mostly on the guests and not being observant to the fact peoples rooms are right above. We had some screaming babies below us so in a nutshell was pretty sleep deprived this go. Would not book in that room again. Lakeview is much nicer and quieter. Yes, the rooms need to be updated, I have spent the same with really nice accomodations but that is not why we go there. Our room attendant, Deb, was a lovely lady and we love the staff. We go for the experience and it is what you make of it. It was pretty busy this trip so mid-week is more our style. We go every year and will continue to do so because of the destination itself. Thanks Harrison.
Great place to go for the day, hard to find parking as there is not much available. Very windy here but it's nice on a hot day, any other time of the year it would probably be cold.
An excellent place to go to, with a warm friendly atmosphere from all of the staff! We enjoyed the outdoor hot spring pool! It was my first time there ! We found out that we were placed in the older part of the hotel ! But the room was nice , the view from the window was of the roof top and car park where I could see the car. I would have liked to have seen the new part! If I had asked I am sure that they would have shown me! I was a very large building and very popular with everyone I talked to! They all returned on a regular basis, so that to me says a lot for place and of course the staff.
I really in love with this place.
Good place to enjoy our time with family and friends!
Its OK... Not great... Just ok. Where to start... it seems the hotel is selling day passes to people not staying at the resort. The pools are jammed packed full of people and screaming children and it is hard to find a nice quiet spot in the hot tub.
The Lakeside cafe Buffet used to be good... now it is awful. They used to make omelettes to order with fresh ingredients.. they have stopped doing that and now serve powdered eggs and COLD EGGS BENNY..
THE COFFEE IS COLD AND WEAK... I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED with the whole resort.
$25 for breakfast buffet with everything is cold and old.
Perhaps if you were wanting a stay at a hot springs go to Ainsworth or Radium... this resort has gone down hill and is not worth the nightly charge. I would put this at a 1 star motel.
The main hotel looks very outdated. Make sure to check which building and what room you're booking. The check-in service was very slow.
Pools: the outdoor pools were the best part of my trip. The adults only pool has the softest and warmest water compared to the kids and indoor pool, which I found was a lot grainier and had more chlorine. The staff mentioned that the indoor hot tub was the pool that had the highest concentration of hot springs minerals. If you come to harrison, definitely spend a spa day here so that you can get access to the outdoor pools! They are much more well kept than the public pool Afternoon tea: everyday from 4-4:30PM they have some tea and cookies either in a ballroom or in the hallways. No dress code necessary, a lot of people were still in their bath robes from the hot spring Spa: the service was okay...not the type I would expect from a place that should be specializing in services. I walked in and didnt get acknowledged by the staff. I had multiple appointments that day and when I finished my first one, they didn't even realize I had a second one and didnt set up my room in time. The private bath is great and they added mud, but dont expect it to be a thick mud bath, it's just for colour. Islands bar: great for bar food and drinks, staff are very friendly Breakfast buffet: good and prompt service. They had an omelette station and even had a pho station
Good service from staff. Room was well kept. During our stay, there was an issue with the hot springs, but the solution provided was satisfactory.
It s fine. There are kids running around everywhere and the tubs are not as nice and big as I thought they were going to be. The adults only pool had people crammed in there shoulder to shoulder yesterday afternoon. It was quieter around 10 PM, but still didn t feel very private or relaxing. Also the hotter pools that are inside are PACKED with loud kids so we didn t even get to sit in the hot tub inside. There is a security guard that comes around and yells asking if people have their wristbands on. She kicked a whole family out last night cause there was an 18 year old, not a 19 year old in the pool. She was more well behaved than the adults!!!!
The room was meh. I was nervous about staying in the old building cause of the horror stories on here and TripAdvisor, but only found one weird hair in the shower and the bed was comfy and clean. It was loud though. The room we were in had an internal door to the next room over and there was a good inch if not more gap between the floor and the bottom of the door so we could CLEARLY hear our neighbor s conversations.
Overall it s just okay. Very outdated. And the kids running everywhere and adults yelling??? What? Maybe I m spoiled by staying at Hilton s normally but when I think resort / spa I think relaxing.
The carpet needs to be ripped out EVERYWHERE. The decorations in the lobby are awful. If you want to relax I would not come here. I ve been to multiple hot spring resorts in Europe that are relaxing and don t have kids running around everywhere. If you have kids this is your place but if you want a quiet, peaceful couple days AVOID.
My mom and I took my son to Harrison hotsprings hotel and it was amazing. It was really quiet. We were one to everything. My son loved swimming in one of many pools they have and we met people that from local surrounding areas and people that came from far away areas to experience this awesome place.
Amazing connect with healing and my Fur friend had a place to Be .
Friendly staff and good service but the hotel definitely needs new mattresses and it's an old building with thin walls. We could hear foot traffic all night long on the stairs.
This place is just okay. The pools are great, but when we stayed the night, the entire West Wing smelled like cigarette smoke. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
I understand the hotel is dealing with Covid guidelines but seriously, if you have a hotsprings that are hot how about provide your guest with some water by the pool. No vending machine, water cooler, water in the room to bring down.
Dangerous really.
For being such a popular destination in the lower mainland, the hotel seems very dated and run down in some areas.
Bed was comfy!
Love it here. Water is good. Town is great. Hotel is good. Not a 5 star but nice and cozy. Mineral springs outstanding. Massage was excellent.
My husband and I stay at this hotel every Halloween! It became our tradition to go there on Halloween night, walk down the halls of the old building just to scare ourselves. It has the vibe of the hotel from the movie "the Shining" which we love! In the afternoons we enjoy sitting in the pool and soak in the minerals from the hot spring. Dinner at the Copper room is always the highlight of our stay, we love the live band and the classy atmosphere of the restaurant. Going to Harrison Hot Springs for Halloween is definitely our family tradition now for already 3 years in a row!
Very beautiful and welcoming interior. The outdoor resort pool is really nice and makes paying the extra cost of the room totally worth it.
The only hotel with its own hot spring pool, the environment is very good.
Had a lovely time. Gardens and pool very well kept and beautiful. The hotel could probably do with a soft refurb.
Perfect spot to unplug & spend some quality time with family.
Ugly, outdated property, rude staff, mediocre hot springs, dingy town. I can't overstate how rude I found the front desk staff and manager of the hot springs. I would hesitate before booking any event here. I also found it hilarious that the hotel attempts to charge for parking, while the city parking is free. Although Harrison Lake is beautiful, we regretted driving from Vancouver to spend the night here. Beware in advance that it is hard to find quality food & drinks in this town.
I should add that the public seem pretty upset that Harrison Hot Springs limits access to the hot springs to hotel guests and those who are willing to pay $100/person to get a spa treatment, and they should be outraged. There are no hot springs in any other state that I am aware of that do not grant access with a day pass. I hope the city's citizens win this fight!
Went here looking for a relaxing time with my spouse . Scenery is beautiful but there were kids screaming and playing everywhere (except for the adult pool) but you can still hear the kids . The indoor pools where it says to be quiet there was constantly kids there screaming as well . Don t give me wrong I have kids and I understand but when it comes to spa the hotel does not monitor this .
Really nice place, the swimming pools are good and especially for a kid my one enjoyed the main one in the middle even though he cannot swim. The natural springs pool was good as well very relaxing and would recommend anyone visiting Canada to try this place out. The surrounding natural beauty is also nice to soak in.
I was walking by and needed a washroom, it was very clean, nice hotel
I've been there in the winter and enjoyed in the hot spring out of doors. Of course, there were lots of people in the resort.
The mineral pools and stunning walking areas are worth it! Such a relaxing getaway.
EDIT The resort pools are the only nice thing. The rooms are run down and very outdated. Always stay in the west wing tower unless you don't mind the strange country cottage decore of the East wing. They have started serving booze at the pool so every sat eve it becomes a gong show. At least they upped their patrols since last time. The tvs wiggle and can cause headaches since the actual picture jumps up and down. Not only that but when you book at room online their room rate changes regardless if you booked it as a 2 or 3 night stay. So they trick you into paying more without out right telling you. This resort while relaxing is nice but sadly the prices keep going up but nothing changes.

Resort is nice. Pools are always relaxing. The guests however... The adult pool always has one or two 'adults' who drink way to much and somehow manage to avoid being talked to by the staff walking around. Once it hits about 930-10pm it's hard to stay in the pool as the drunken guests become too much. Maybe they should really do more pool checks...
I specifically asked for a king size bed, pet friendly room a month in advance. Got to our room and there was two queen beds, dirty carpet, run down. Went to lodge a complaint and was told you were up-graded . My response was how s that an upgrade . No discount. At $309 a night. Very disappointed
Favorite place for my husband and I to get away to kid free
Good place to stay, right on the water. Gorgeous views to go with it. Downside though is that you pay good money for a suite, only to have a squealing shower head, slow draining faucet and slow draining sink.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Very helpful staff, friendly environment and the hot springs are so relaxing! We enjoyed every single minute of our stay and felt like absolute royalty!
The staff actually promoted guests getting to know one another and we made some very good friends during our visit. The level of accommodation they give is something I have never had at a resort before and we will definitely be returning again!
I love the pools. They are wonderful. But the price to get in is steep. You have to be the guest at the hotel. Pricey. That is why i gave 4 stars. The Starbucks is great to visit. Also it has nice lobby area where you can sit and relax if you have time.
Nice hot water specially in the winter. Old hotel but overall is good
My room was very small and definitely not clean. The pools were nice.
Pools are busy and not monitored. The Lap pool was anything but a lap pool. It was impossible to "swim a few laps" as advertised. Was used as a regular pool. People throwing balls, using floaties and splashing. Supposed to be no children after 10 in the outdoor pools and 11 in the indoor, but there were. Family Room in Main hotel needed repairs. Broken tap, dresser drawer kept fully opening, headboards not really attached. Staff was great though and we did have fun once I let go of my original expectations. Spa was nice. Nice trails and the great location. We were a group of 8. One senior, 5 middle aged adults, a 19 year old a 16 year old and a 12 year old.
Hotspring was good; however, air condition in the room was horrible. We had to turned on 2 fans and open the window.
Great location and fun amenities. Room was a little dated.
Nice and warm spas, but they rely a bit on their image from the old days, that's also how the hotel smells. The place could use a facelift.
A wonderful place to visit. The rooms were clean and we'll kept and the staff was very helpful. The springs themselves were perfect. Best part of the visit was the very helpful and friendly valet Steve. That guy made this visit a blast. Seemed to know more then the front desk staff about absolutely everything.
Went here for a bachlorette. Was alot of fun. Quiet little town..i recommend taking a boat tour of the lake!!
Regular guests here. The best way to enjoy Harrison hotspring is to stay here over night and enjoy its 5 hotspring pools. The basic is small, the bed is double, good for small couple. I would recommend to upgrade to a bigger room. You should call them to bring robes as they don't provide them in advance. They also provide evening tea service at 4pm, check it out! Also you should go to the German Black forest restaurant near by for the best experience (Combination diner or pork hock for the best variety of all) Highly recommended!
This resort hotel is always crowded. Hot springs outside are not hot enough(for me) But the surrounding is very nice. Especially, during a Christmas season, illuminations are so beautiful and romantic. There are several restaurants open on Christmas Day. That is very good.
I love this place but unfortunately the staff are grumpy and unfriendly.
It's OK. The pools are small and not hot enough, no sauna, and customer service was pretty hit or miss. Also the walls in our hotel room was incredibly thin, heard all of our neighbors getting up to all kinds of nonsense at all hours of the night. No bueno.
The resort is great. We live in Vancouver and take weekend trips ask the time. Heated pools are great ask year round!
Amazing hot mineral pools, beautiful lake view rooms and friendly efficient staff.
My family has been coming here for decades. It is relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable for the babies, kids, parents and grandparents alike. Great food choices, wonderful pools!
I love this place, it's an older building that comes with it's quirks - but the staff are amazing and the pools are lovely - plus they have drink service on the side of the pool area. The last time I was there they went above and beyond in customer service because of my error and I can't wait to go back!!!
Executive suite lake view - west tower. Room was nice and clean, but average. Fantastic view. Hot pools are great.
My kids treated me to a wonderful weekend at Harrison Hot Springs. The massage was fantastic; the facility, fabulous!
The icing on the cake for me, was the last night in the outdoor pool...an amazing ambiance, with conversations between perfect strangers manifesting spontaneously while relaxing under the moonlit pool. Awesomeness!
Tiny rooms, could not even open a second suitcase before closing the first one.
Staff was super nice along with the accommodations.
Forget WiFi. It s terrible. And don t count on charging your phone by your bed - you ll need a long extension cord. Pillows are very lumpy. Rest is fine.
Very beautiful but I was not willing to spend $100/person on a spa treatment for my son and I to be able to swim for 6hrs. One of the workers said it is not open to the public any more because they were getting into fights with the guests lol. To bad we drove all the way from Regina to only see how pretty it was and not actually swim there.
Love their pools & sauna & the scenery is amazing! The staff was very friendly & helpful. But the hotel could use some updates & window cleaning. One of the elevators broke down while we were there which was a hassle as a friend we were with is in a wheelchair......
Amazing pools but the beds in the room were really hard and stiff.
Nice getaway resort, hot pools on site, lakeside and family friendly
place is ok, restaurant is ok, nothing special, but reception staff differ a lot, some are quite rude.
Great experience in general. Room service is a little slow. I'm guessing this is normal during crowded periods of time. I was a little disappointed when I was told that my room wasn't ready even though I came after the earliest check-in time (4 pm). The outdoor hot springs pools are great for families, they are warm and not very deep. When it's cold outside, there is an indoor pool that you could use as well. The indoor pool also has a large jacuzzi filled with hot springs water. The indoor swimming pool is not the best for young children or those who cannot swim because the pool is 8' deep on one end (4' on the other). There is also an adult pool, for adults only. The building looks dated from the outside, looks luxery in the lobby. The rooms are comfortable however the walls are a little thin, you would hear people talking in the hallway from your room, and the people are not talking loudly either. I don't know what the breakfast is like, I booked a room without breakfast. If you get a good room, it would be overlooking the lake, which is a great view. I was stuck on the first floor, facing the pool area. Again, the service was very slow, it took them 20 minutes to deliver bathrobes to my room, which is actually insane because there are supposed to be robes in the room. The hotel is relatively close to the nearby restaurants, you could sit in the pools then go eat dinner then come back to the pools without getting into your car, unless you want to eat somewhere else, away from Harrison Hot Springs.
This is the perfect place for a quick getaway from the city. Some of the rooms are a bit older but if you're on a budget those are good and honestly you don't spend that much time in the room anyway. I think they could have more plus size robes myself and a few of my friends went and we asked for two plus size robes and they were all out, and the robes are fairly small. But I've been here multiple times and akways come back refreshed.
I little old, but very cosy, and always a good stay. Have been coming here ever year for 15 years and will continue to come again.
Our room was not cleaned properly. If the check in staff advise you upon your check in that the cleaning staff is behind schedule, I would thoroughly check your room. Ours appeared clean but when we were getting ready for bed we found used q-tips and a hair elastic under our sink and a wad of hair on the shower wall. It was late by the time we noticed so we just went to sleep and left as soon as we got up. I called the hotel later that day, no response. 2 days later I emailed them. That was a week ago and nothing. It was our 10th anniversary and I regret spending so much money on a dirty, outdated hotel. The walls are paper thin too. I felt cheated by my stay here and the fact that management does not care speaks volumes! There are more affordable, cleaner places to stay in Harrison.
If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this might be the place if you only venture out into the hot springs at. The Quiet Areas are not respected at all and the rules are not enforced. Even the spa employees said they had to tell the kids to quiet down when it got too loud so do not expect a quiet massage. I foolishly arrived on Easter Monday thinking most of the crowds would have dispersed.
My friend described the busy pools here as 'human soup'. She was right. That night, a woman had a boom box and kids were screaming and bombing into the pool in the Quiet Area. I kept seeing a Security Guard walk by but definitely didn't do anything else.
The room service food was pretty bad and they share a kitchen with the Island Bar on the main level. The breakfast buffet was decent with high variety and a view of the lake. The Copper Room in the west end of the hotel has a separate kitchen and is worlds better than the rest of the hotel. I'd go on a Sunday/Monday night to find the better house band.
This place might be worth it if you caught a deal on the rooms and came at a time when no one else would want to.
I visited with my family and didn't really enjoy the stay. The facility itself was great with nice view but the "hot spring" is simply just a hot swimming pool.
Great spa with helpful staff. Mineral soak is high end. Very nice setting, the outdoor pools are beautiful. Across the street from the lake. Would recommend.
Let me start by saying that at your hotel I had experienced the worst value/price ratio I have ever seen. And I have stayed at many hotels in US, Europe, and Asia. Just for the room and parking we paid $200 per night and the room was shabby, not very clean, and extremely loud. On top of everything our window was broken. Our friends who were staying the neighboring room had the toilet broken. So the stay started with calling maintenance to both our rooms. The conditions were so bad, that all of us in fact left a night early without asking for a discount or refund just because we wanted to leave because we were uncomfortable.
But the worst thing of all is that I was charged someone else s bill. At the check out the lady never asked me for approval of the bill. She charged my credit card but I quickly noticed that I had a charge at the bar listed on my account. I never visited the bar. I notified her about the mistake and she refunded me.
Later when I arrived I noticed a very huge pending transaction on my credit card, which I did not recall. I called the back and they told me that on top of the $410 bill that I already paid, Harrison Hot Spring Hotel and Spa was charging me another $600. THIS IS SOMEONE ELSE S BILL! The money is dated Dec. 30, but I just checked in on that day! I live in the U.S. and it is extremely inconvenient for me to call you, because I do not have an international calls plan. On top of everything you overdrafted my bank account!
Neither me nor my friends will ever come back. I will do my best to tell as many people as I can to never stay here. I also have a column in a small newspaper in Washington (6000 readers). I will makes sure to write a note about my wonderful New Year s vacation.
Service was like usual, just there for the hotsprings. Relatively clean.
Great experience here. Was a good host for our event.
I'm not sure why there are not menus in the rooms. I had to walk to the various restaurants to look at the menus. Also, they continuously provided only two pool towels for a four person suite and we always had to phone the front desk and request more. Other than that, it was fine.
It seems a strange choice to not provide menus for "green" reasons when the towels are replaced daily.
The rooms are pretty outdated and room service is far too expensive for the quality of their food but the pools make it all worth it. If you're going to experience luxurious hot springs, this is definitely the best hotel in Harrison. All the rooms have a good view, you really can't be picky.
Great rooms, views, and amenities. Pools were awesome.
Great location on the lake, incredibly helpful staff. Main hotel rooms need a refresh and currently do not have air-conditioning. Made sleeping impossible on a 85+ day/night. Seriously, worried about my kids all night even with hotel provided fans trying to keep them cool. Mineral pools were very relaxing, would think winter visit would be amazing.
Hot tubs/pools great. Decor is dated. We stayed in the East tower which is newer. The west tower teminds me of the Winchester mansion (look it up and you'll see). Maintenance and updating needed on the building. One of the servers in the Lakeside restaurant was downright rude when we had dinner there. The chef at omelet station in the morning was amazing!
I was a bit disappointed that parking wasn't included in the price. Can't fault them for that because they didn't mention that it was included. Parking is limited from what you would expect from a tourist town so It's great that your parking spot is good until 1pm that day. It give you extra time to go check out this small town. This place tend to get busy real fast so if there's a event going on, book in advance. My go to place now whenever I'm in town.
We love the included amenities. The workout room would have what you would need and expect from a small gym. But the prize is their many pool and jacuzzi that you have to try out. Great place to relax.
Beautiful time with my girlfriend & her friends for a birthday. Checked out the actual hot springs just up the road from the resort. It was great. Check it out if you've never been. Chill AF
If there is ever a remake of Somewhere In Time, this will be a perfect place.
For thirty some years I have lived here in BC, this place seems to be wrapped in saran wrap and placed in a vacuum...everything is exactly the same. Serious remodeling and renovation is desperately needed for the price they are charging.
