It's incredibly expensive. However if you are looking for a place to get away from it all, it is a relaxing spot. They offer four pools, hot tub and a steam room in the change rooms.if you're going during wedding season you may run into wedding guests at the late night pool. Staff are all super nice from the vallet to the maid who helped me find vending machines at 3 am.

This hotel is perfectly suited to families and singles both old and young. The rooms are comfortable and clean, ours had an exceptional view of the lake! There were 3 outdoor pools open (mid-July) despite the recent pandemic. Extra measures were being taken for the safety of guests and staff. The hot pools were open until 11pm, not crowded, and very soothing to the body after a long day of hiking. The tv turned itself off and the bathtub was slightly stained. But, the customer service was friendly and professional and the location could not have been better.
Desperate for a makeover and way more staff. The pools and breakfast restaurant are 5 star parts, while the quality of rooms is 1 star. New carpet and a fresh coat of paint would go a long way! Staff are nice and friendly, but seem stretched and disorganized.
Check-in was delayed yet no extension of check-out time was made. Being a luxury resort, they should offer later check-out time to makeup for loss of time for delayed check-in. Went for relaxing weekend from the city, but time shortened by delay and waiting was certainly annoying and disappointing.
If you're visiting Harrison, this is THE place to go. Very nice outdoors spa and good quality accommodation. Guests are friendly and staff were lovely! Great for family, friends, and couples!
We went with group of families to this resort January 10, 2020. We hadn't stayed at the resort for several years and this place has gone severely downhill. The pools were still pleasant and we really enjoyed our time spent in the water. The problems for us were all inside. Our rooms were either really hot or freezing cold. The Lakeside restaurant used to have a buffet for dinner which is great for feeding our large crowd quickly and we were VERY disappointed to see that it is gone! The servers were very slow, it took ages to get our food and to get drink refills. Our group with a baby asked for their dessert to go and we had someone left behind to collect it for OVER AN HOUR! Then they had to wait until after 10 PM to get a crib delivered after requesting it several times since checking in at 3. The breakfast buffet was good and had a wide variety. We tried several times to contact the resort manager to speak to someone about our problems but they refuse to contact us back. We hadn't planned on leaving an online review but feel like they left us no choice. Very sad to see this place declining. We used to really enjoy this place. Wish the manager and staff had tried to make things right.
I attended a wedding, I must say that the place needs to be renovated, the lobby is dirty, not all the reception staff are kind and competent, the rooms are dirty and some stink, you don't eat badly, in short, nothing to do with our Italian Hotel
Beautiful resort with enough pool/hot spring choices. I like they have an adult pool to isolate and promote a more relaxing experience.
I took advantage of their spa services, even without a reservation, and was totally worth it.
The added benefit of the resort is how local it is to all the outdoor amenities where after reading the various signage throughout Harrison, we can thank the resort for feeding the ever expanding tourist opportunities.
Rooms are small and old but clean ! Hot springs are great . Prices for rooms are around 240$Cad/ night . Breakfast is too expansive (22$?) and you have to pay for parking (10$/ day ).
This place is great, from the wonderful hot pools to the vintage hotel. Walls can be a bit thin so some noise from adjacent rooms but its generally a good crowd.
Very disappointing, pools were beautiful... far too much chorine, after a day in pools my black suit that i wore in other hot pools came out streaky grey..my skin dried out.. Bathroom was very nice, bed linen, room carpets decent. Rest of the hotel carpets very dirty and outdated. Will not go back :-(
This resort charges 5 star prices for a 3 star stay. We stayed September 20 thru 22nd, 2020. Only one working elevator, long waits. NOT CLEAN!!! Mold in our bathroom, carpets stained and dirty. Dirty laundry bagged and left outside room down the hall, for 3 days. Only allotted 1 role of toilet paper. Had to go down to the front desk and ask for more toilet paper. Burnt out lightbulbs in the room. Charged a $200 damage deposit on checkin which was not mentioned in any of the reservation documentation. Garbage left around the hot pools in the morning from the night before.
Very cool and quaint location, good restaurants around even with the small village setting. scenery around is beautiful. Service was also excellent eve though we were in a slight further out cottage. Amenities were plentiful and easy to access as well. Highly recommended.
There are really three different hotels here. They are the old hotel, the west building, and the east building. The old part has no a/c and you can't control the heat. The west building is from the late 70's and is very nice. The best of all though is the east building, although it is farthest from the pools. There are rooms in the west building that face the pool. Very nice experience.
This place was beautiful and really relaxing. The lady that checked us in was helpful and we had great food in the lounge. Rooms were clean and sufficient. Thanks.
I'd put the place at 3.5 stars. Very enjoyable and pleasant experience but unfortunately there was too many guest whom were quite noisy in "quiet" area. If you're an introverted person looking for a getaway, you need to go at the off-peak season. Compare to the public baths, this isn't much of an improvement.
Nice relaxing getaway. Stayed in the cabins, pet friendly. Cabins have been renovated since last year and still have pull out couches. Pools get a little busier on the weekends but not crazy. Bring your dancing shoes and go to the copper room for some good times.
My GF and I were late at the checkout for 30 minutes Chelsea the manager insisted on locking us out in our white robes in the reception area they brought our bags down to the lobby and they sent us to the washroom in the lobby to change from our spa outfit then leave the hotel. Plus a delay charge fee of $87, Nice customer service Chelsea. The rooms were old, small tiny and uncomfortable the place is due for renovation it seems they don't have any competition in the area and they don't need to perform any good work
I was hoping for natural hot spring instead of warm swimming pool, almost freeze my feets off because i forgot to bring sandals, put that on your list if you are considering to come here
We go to this place at least once a year. This time, we received the smallest room in our family history. Location and service is decent quality as always.
Came here with a 3 and 5 year old and it was great! Relaxing pools, clean rooms, kind staff. Great way getaway from Seattle area. We didn't eat at the resort, but we loved walking along the boardwalk to eat at other local places. Muddy Waters Cafe was our favorite.
Outdated rooms and inconsiderate staff ruin the tranquility that this "resort" claims to have. The springs are over crowded and are the only draw they have.
The spa and massage was nice but their refusal to supply a robe that fit made me lose any bliss I had from the massage as I contorted into a robe 3 sizes too small. We had requested robes that fit 3 hours earlier on check in and were told they were being brought to our room twice. After hours of waiting I was finally told too bad and to just deal with it.
The rooms were outdated and in disrepair. Our bathroom fixtures leaked all the time, the lights flickered and buzzed and the heat was uncontrollable and inconsistent.
I would have had the same service and been just as happy at a 100$ best Western as this dump.
I would highly suggest anywhere else or as the "manager" said on our way out, despite with it.
Had crack at bottom of door which was awkward. We had to put a towel at the bottom. Otherwise beautiful facilities and amenities. Service was great. Food is a little expensive at the hotel restaurants
Just a short review, I planned a getaway for my 8 year old daughter and myself to one one of our favorite things , the hotsprings and hotel, however due to unforeseen events, the pool was closed. We arrived obviously a little upset and disappointed, but Tracy and another manager stepped up, and turned a negative into a positive, I can't say enough about how good the staff have treated us and more than compensated us for something out of their control. I have always liked bringing my family here and now even more. Thanks again to the management and staff...
The pools in the resort were plentiful and relaxing and staff were more than accommodating for our large group. The restaurant was good and the location was fantastic. EV stalls is a plus.
nice Hotel to spend the weekend, the good thing its the pools but they put a lot of chlorine in the water its kind of annoying, besides that the rooms are nice, but it seems that the carpets are not complete cleaned.
Went to Harrison for a company holiday party, the resort did a great job at making sure we had a great time! Food, facilities and accommodation were all above expectations.
We only liked the hot spring. Walls were thin (very old hotel), gym opens only from 9 - 9 (inconvenient for those who work out before or after the start of their day), internet was terrible. It was a nice gesture for them to do their afternoon tea at 4pm, but the tea was bland and sweets were decent at best.
An excellent place to stay for a weekend getaway. We found our weekend here very relaxing. The various hot spring pools and grounds were very well kept, and the staff were helpful. Some might need to note that it s an older building, so electrical outlets for charging devices are not abundant.
I went there twice a year, it's kind of my family tradition to go there and spend a quality vacation. Room and service is nice with a warm feeling. Definitely recommend for the hot spring pool .
It's the 1st. time for both me & my husband. We were both very disappointed with the schedule of the pools. We are early birds and was hoping the pools could open earlier before 8:00 am, like maybe 6:00 am, and NO KIDS allowed between 6:00 am~9:00 am. It's not enjoyable at all with all the pools always full of people and on top of that, screaming kids !! BTW, The color curtain in our room was very dirty, looked like had not been washed for many years. The lake view from our room was the only thing we enjoyed. Unless their pools ever change to a better & improved schedule, or else we do not plan to go back.
Very impressive!! Cards, chocolates and a bottle of Merlot left for us for our Anniversary weekend. Not to mention the great staff, clean room and excellent views. Best hotel in town!!
Great location .. Fun place for a conference, wedding etc ...pools are nice.. Food is ok..not spectacular and quite expensive.. Rooms are big with weirdly small bathrooms.. Decor is old but mostly clean..
It was nice but they charge you for absolutely everything they can. You can be paying top dollar for an all inclusive room but that doesn't include anything but the basic amenities. There isn't even a microwave in the room which was very inconvenient.
Beautiful surroundings and facilities. Fantastic buffet for breakfast, well worth getting the package. Check out the german restaurant in town for delightful schnitzel (vegetarian option available).
The location was beautiful on the waterfront. I liked that there was food and drink available on site. The town was small and everything we needed was within walking distance. The boat/seadoo rental place was right across the street
Not what it used to be. This place was crowded to the rim every time we went. Check in and check out lines are outrageous. Rainbow color wristbands? Seriously ?? And now pay parking.
Fantastic place for a relaxing weekend get away. It's beautiful and a great getaway.
Update: In August 2016 I was here and everything was perfect. Came back in December 2016 and August 2017 and both times went home with horrible hives. I dont know if they changed the chemicals in the pools or the laundry or what. But unfortunately I will not be returning because of whatever they changed. If you have sensitive skin stay away
Cons- food was a constant disappointment. I mainly booked here because of the presentation of the copper room. However, my appetizer of beef carpaccio that had 3 super thin sliced (I know it's supposed to be thin) pieces of meat topped with a pile of arugula followed by recieving cheap boxed pasta with 3 meatballs for $35 and a chicken breast dish that was accompanied by plain boiled potatoes for $38. Let's not get started with Islands bar. Let's just be clear, nothing here is fresh. It's all packaged food which is fine but dont charge premium prices for it. Our toilet had dried, caked on pee all over it and surrounding the toilet area. I was not told while checking in that the room service menu was on a TV channel and I am assuming with the other reviews, most people aren't told this. And just so you are prepared... you are charged for parking. Yes, that's right. In a town that contains nothing else... not a blooming metropolis where parking is hard to come by, you are charged to park at this resort. Yes, the hot springs are nice but I had the joy of being around people taking non-stop selfies. I got a massage for my boyfriend. It was 25 minutes long and $84 + tip. Although the staff were friendly to me, the time I spent waiting for my boyfriend, my time was filled listening to the staff talking about how incompetent their coworkers are.
If you are like me and have to work incredibly hard to go on vacation, I'd recommend going somewhere else. There are many beautiful spots in BC with a lake view and pools!
Ridiculous long check in... line up out the door at 4:30pm on a July Sunday. Make sure you don t have an early dinner reservation or you miss it! Plan for 45 minutes in line.
Absolutely wonder place to stay overnight, you don't need to get an expensive room to enjoy, especially if the whole point is the hotsprings. Don't worry about the window view either just 10 steps out of the front entrance your already at the water front lined with benches. The view is breathtaking and I plan on coming back again. Everyone's friendly only issue is parking during busy seasons.
Toxic bacteria found in Harrison Hot Springs. Pseudomonas Aeruginosa is the multi drug resistant bacteria that was found in the pools at Harrison Hot Springs. You may all want to seriously consider this before choosing to book with this hotel. Reading all the other reviews seems to prove time and time again that cleanliness is NOT this resorts priority. Unfortunate. I used to really like this resort- but due to this public announcement combined with the dishonest way the hotel seemed to deal with the situation stikes this resort off my list for good.
We got there and was told that the room that we had booked did not have hot water, so they upgraded us to a better room. The only problem was that the room that we got upgraded to had an issue with the shower not draining properly. After talking with the help desk they said they would send someone to fix it, the problem persisted and it wasn't until our third complaint that the problem was addressed. When we asked them to compensate they did not want to listen to us because they had already given us an upgrade. But how is that an upgrade if something does not work. It is like we got upgraded to a broken room.
So relaxing very comfortable , different views and feelings in 4 seasons so beautiful our room number was "555 " , good number for us , before we came my husband told me he wanted to go on a vacation , we hadn't had vocation for long time about a year , than suddenly I got a mail from Harrison hot springs resort, yes, it's on sale and we got really good deal thank you so much Harrison hot springs resort , we are so lucky .......
The cleanliness and service could be improved. The amount of spiders and webs that I found was unacceptable. I know that s a small detail to point out, but if you re arachnophobic.... yikes. I liked the overall old-fashioned vibe of the hotel, but there were definitely some issues.
An easy way to improve the hotel would be just giving the whole thing a little bit of a power wash. Cleaning the pool more would be nice too. It is the central point of the hotel, after all.
And please, for the love of god, get some better tea
1) The hotel is situated just beside the Harrison lake with a beautiful view 2) Great place for photography 3) Spa experience was great 4) Room was great 5) Not many options for outside restaurants
The reason we went there is because people been saying how nice this place is. Absolutely NOT true. We got the best rooms they had in the newest building and it was a BIG disappointment. Cant even imagine how do the least expensive rooms look The rooms are not well cleaned, hair, crumbs, stains all over the place. Smells moldy. Balcony is Very disgusting and moldy, the floor was dirty and sticky. Over all the building itself is not very clean especially outside, mold and moss everywhere you look. Water has way too much chlorine. It feels and smell just like regular hot pool. Staff is not very friendly, don't really care for guest comfort and safety. To get to the elevators from lobby with luggage, you have to go thought outside or haul everything through stairs. Overall the hotel is very old and defiantly not as great as advertised, also not worth the money they are charging per night.
I booked a weekend here for my parents as a Christmas gift, when they arrived they were told that it wasn t paid for because they don t do online booking (Even though I got a confirmation that it was paid for) . When asked if they could charge it to my credit card once they arrived I was told no because they didn t have any of my card information. The receptionist was incredibly rude and while my parents were in line they witness LOTS of unhappy customers being treated just as poorly. My parents ended up leaving because of how unprofessional and rude the receptionist was and how no one was willing to help them or allow it to be paid on my card. I checked my account and the resort has now taken $150 from my account (they magically found my card information) even though none of us were told there was going to be a charge due to their billing error. I have tried calling the hotel but I have not been able to get ahold of anyone there. I will be going through my bank and marking this as an unauthorized withdrawal. DO NOT RECOMMEND
