Beautiful settings and very fun to check out the hot springs. Facilities are a bit dated & food somewhat 'old school`- rich, flavourful if somewhat heavy. Has the feel of a place that's enjoyied being top of the local accommodation "food chain" for a *long* time. Overall, a great change of pace and nice base from which to experience the Harrison Lake area.

We arrived on Canada day weekend so it was super packed and busy. The staff are amazing. The only reason why I docked them a star is because in the main hotel rooms, where I stayed at, had no air conditioner and it was super hot in the afternoons. The staff gave us an extra fan so that helped somewhat. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to come back.

Our last stay was terrible for several reasons. The biggest was the security guard chasing people down demanding to see their wristbands and yelling at the paying guests when the pool is closed. Very rude. Made this "resort" feel like a liesure center. You get wristbands just like a leisure center..... The room was older than my grandmother. There was a young lady getting out of the hot tub at night and the owner and security guard were staring at her in her bikini to the point she felt so uncomfortable she covered herself with a towel. All 3 were staring at Each other the whole time. I felt very uncomfortable for her! So creepy and these are the people running this pool establishment.

The indoor pools are open until 1am. It was 12 when the security guard opened all the doors to try and freeze us out. Umm hello its midnight in late October and we are all wet!

Worst visit I have ever had here. Now their online booking isnt even working. Big surprise.

Such a shame as the pools were quite nice to soak in last time. Thats the only reason we went was to relax and we ended up getting annoyed with all these problems.

I have had good times and bad times here. They don't inform you when an event is taking place and the regular amenities are not available. Needless to say we left halfway thru our stay as we still had to pay full price but couldn't even use the restaurants.

Very rude service asked for towels said their wasn't any come back in 10 mins charged us for waters in the room that were not even in the room when we got their room service only made one of our beds other then this it was a great hotel and spa.

Very quiet and beautiful place. Everything is made to feel you welcome, well appreciated and enjoyable. My wife and I go there two or three times a year to recharge our batteries and prepare for the next winter.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed at !!!! The walls are paper thin and you can hear people conversations four rooms down and More !!!!!!!
The dinner in the copper room was awful and so was breakfast it was cold and rubbery . I travel extensively but this is a nasty seedy resort I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone

Beautiful hotel with lots of history. We are repeat guests. Loved the lake view from the 7th floor on our honeymoon. This time we tried the cabins. Cozy and private. The bedroom is separate from the living room. The living room had a mini fold out bed which would be good for small kids. Hot springs were busy but great. Couples massage was decent. Pretty good breakfast buffet included with stay. Service was always good. Also love the Copper ballroom for multiple course dinner, live jazzy music, and dancing. Pricy resort but worth it for a getaway.

Food in the bottom of the bed. It s no clean. and so old. The room is so dark and feel unsafe. The front desk service was terrible, they don t want to answer my questions and so rude to me. I have not experienced like that. Do not come here.

My family and I spent many relaxing, joyful and sweet times at this spa hotel. This spa hotel has three outdoor hot springs and two indoor hot springs. You can choose an outdoor or indoor hot spring depending on the season you go. There are many bedrooms with different orientations to choose from: one with a view of Harrison Lake, one with an outdoor hot spring pool, and one with a hotel garden ... Of course, the price is different. If you stay at this hot spring hotel for one night, you can usually check in after 4 pm, and you must check out before 11 noon the next day. We all like it because the rooms are clean, the hot spring pools are plentiful, and the prices are right.

I had to make three noise complaints about people next to my room (I could hear them swearing, throwing stuff against the wall and also could smell smoking through the door that connected my room and theirs) and finally was able to go to sleep around 1am. I started my first complaint around 10pm, second one 12 am, then last one 1 am. When I called the front desk about the noise, only thing they told me was "I will ask my manager to check". I came to relax but left feeling more tired due to lack of sleep. I enjoyed the pool but wished they had been more strict with noise complaints.

Rooms are a bit run down, carpet not very clean, however the reason most people come is for the multiple hot springs pools they have and that's great. The copper room is also a nice place for food.

We ate at Island bar. This is definitely a bar and they have limited food options. Mainly appetizers with a couple of burgers. The food was average bar food. The service was a bit slow but it seemed there was only one server on. Overall an average place to go

Disappointed in the customer service. Left my bathing suit hanging in the bathroom, was half way home when I realized. Phoned 3 times and left 3 emails. Finally got a response 6 days later and of course no bathing suit was turned in and was told I hope you find it in your belongings! the suit cost 1/2 a nights stay there, I think this could have been handled better and I hope the staff is enjoying the new swim wear.

Great location on the lake. I am told that all the hotels in Harrison are owned by the same person, so without competition the hotel's restaurant service is slow and prices are on the high side - I suppose to be expected for a tourist resort.

My husband and I have been to the resort many times in the last 11 years and our anniversary trip in July probably was our last. Put it this way we left the resort with a long review back in July and have yet to hear back. That should tell you something .

Wanted to spend a night there from Sat to Sun. We wanted to arrive early to make the most of our stay. When trying to book they would insist that we could not check in before 1 PM, just as a previous reviewer wrote. We have stayed in countless hotels around the world sometimes arriving at very early hours like 6 AM because of our flight. Not once did a hotel make us wait until 1 PM!! Furthermore when we arrived at hotels in our own vehicle (like a rental car) we would always have free parking as registered guests. The practice of the Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa is ridiculous and shows that their priority is clearly not to please their guests. My only explanation is that whoever runs this place has a greedy compulsion to milk the guests. After my phone call I read some of the reviews on google Maps and my suspicion was confirmed. I am so glad I read those real life reviews instead of only the polished up ones on tripadvisor! We will certainly stay away from this place.

My husband I have stayed at Harrison Resort many times over the years. I actually started going to the resort with my parents when I was a teenager. As an adult, I stayed at Harrison many times with my husband and children. It was always a special treat to stay at Harrison, so I booked again to get the Harrison experience on my way to a medical appointment in Vancouver. We stayed only one night, November 16, 2016. We were hugely disappointed. The resort appears to have been neglected for a long time. The lobby hallways are still shiny and the staff members are welcoming, accommodating and competent, but the pools and the pool areas are dirty! The water in the not-very "hot" pool is filmy. There are loose tiles on the floor and the handrails into the round pool are showing signs of chemical reaction. They are discoloured and bumpy. I saw a guest spit a long, foamy, viscous goop onto the floor just behind people sitting in the pool. The plumbing in the women's change room was falling apart. There was not a single employee monitoring the pool areas. No one was cleaning anything or picking up the piles of wet towels from the change room floor. On all other trips, we used the pools several times a day. We couldn't get enough! This time, I felt dirty when I left the pool. I showered well and had no desire to return to the pools again. I also had developed an itchy rash on my legs! Our room was OK. The bedding was clean. We stayed at an economy motel in Burnaby the next night. It was clean! I am very sad that one of my favourite places in the world has been so badly neglected.

My husband and myself booked a mid-week 3 day getaway for our anniversary during the off-season. Overall we had a really great time! I didn't give it a full 5 stars because of a few things that weren't quite for me, personally, but overall I would recommend a trip! It was a little too "resort-ish" for my personal tastes, I like things a smidge more rustic. To be fair, a big part was probably the other folks visiting being mostly Seniors and Families, which tend not to be my crowd - as a queer, tattoo'd, alt-appearing individual those two groups tend to be uncomfortable around me, making me uncomfortable as well. Anywho, the tubs were really great to soak in, if not a bit too "pool-like" (the tiling and lots of chlorine), and I wasn't crazy about how many people you need to share them with - and this was the off season! I can only imagine how packed they are during summer! No way! haha. The staff were super sweet and accommodating, even though it wasn't their busy season they didn't phone in the service and were prompt when we requested extra towels etc out to our cottage. Speaking of the Cottages, that is what we decided to go with for the few days as opposed to the Main Hotel, and I am so glad we did! It's a private, cute little spot to call your own during your stay and we both adored it. Quiet, made of stacked wood beams, lots of heating for the rooms, good amount of space, definitely recommend the extra cash for the Cottage option if you enjoy privacy and what is essentially your own little quaint home away from home. Definitely the highlight of the trip for me was our accommodations. I can't speak for the food they had, we ate out at some local places for our meals, except when we got a couple egg sandwiches from the Starbucks in the lobby (they were soggy and lukewarm but ah well). We participated in the complimentary tea at 4pm and it was sweet, you get a cup of tea and some treats (cookies, banana bread, muffin etc.) and we sat in the lounge by the window looking at the mountains and lake. People were requesting extra servings and they didn't turn anyone down so bonus points for not being stingy! We got out for a hike on Spirit Trail which was great. I brought my camera and got some really great shots, its a really nice, quiet spot. For those who don't know, Spirit Trail is a little 30 minute loop, where a local artist has placed clay masks on a bunch of the trees to convey a sense of character and spirituality. We loved it. Halfway around the loop is a small circle of trees with masks that was really moving to be in - my only complaint was a modern-looking bench in the middle that was chained to a tree - I get that its for people to sit and enjoy but aesthetically it took me out of the moment, I'd rather just sit on a log and have that sense of nature. About 3/4 of the way around theres a bridge you can take that puts you on the Bridle Trail Hike which is significantly longer and which we decided to forgo. But y'all probably want to know more about the pools at the resort! As I said, they were a tad too "produced" for me and I didn't like all the other folk around (especially the kids playing Marco Polo) but they were enjoyable enough. There's a long lap pool that gradually deepens and tended to be a bit quieter, A large lagoon-like one that is family-style and had the most kids in it (but was aesthetically the coolest) and had some little dark nooks you can hide in, the Adult Pool which I believe had a bar but I'm not sure because we avoided it as it was easily the most popular, and two indoor pools, one crescent shaped that was nice but grossly dirty on the bottom and in the drainage trenches around the rim, and finally the small circular hot tub that was really nice and had a cute waterfall feature on the wall and nice wooden beams surrounding but too small for the amount of people coming and going. there's also a lil garden walk you can do which isn't incredible, but has some really nice statues and plants which I thought was quite romantic at night. Cool visit overall but I'd only come back during Winter!

it's was my bad day , we arrived at the hotel at 4:30 pm , 1hr 11 minutes lined up to check-in desk , and we had waited til 7:25 pm at the waiting area and sitting down on the ground like homeless , we couldn't wait anymore , i went to reception desk and ask a girl at the desk for how much longer to wait , she double check and tell us she is not sure for how much longer to wait . we were too tired and we have to cancel the room and leave the hotel at 7:41 pm .ps ; we booked reservation 2 wks in advance .

Our girls weekend was nice. Sarah-Jane at the check in desk was very kind and the pools were nice to relax in. However, in the evening there was a HUGE group of extremely loud, drunk older people that were dominating the outdoor pool being obnoxious. They were eventually told to move to the indoor pool which ruined our time as the were belligerent. I feel like someone should at least patrol and ask people to go back to their rooms if they are alienating other guests. Our room was clean and comfortable and the view of the lake from our room was beautiful. The room could use some updating decor wise and the breakfast buffet in the morning is lacking. There are no meat alternatives to pork or shelf fish, a chicken or turkey sausage/ bacon would be nice to offer. Most of the food is gluten and dairy latent so if you have allergies or dietary specifics this is not the buffet for you.

We stayed in the West Tower for $219/night, plus $10/day for parking. The total for 3/nights with tax and parking came to about $768. We found the suite quite dirty. The carpet had a large brown stain, and the bathroom door below the handle was visibly dirty with some sort of liquid stain covering most of the surface of the door below the handle. In addition, people were smoking in the next room during the night and making a great deal of noise. We did not think it was worth the price and would stay in a cheaper suite if we were to ever go again.

4th time staying at this hotel. Enough is enough, the walls in the old building are too thin. Imagine having a 4 year old and 1 year old sleeping (just) while a bunch of people shout loudly about various adult themed topics until 12:30. Quiet hours starting at 11pm... not exactly family friendly. Numerous calls to reception and no action taken. We all ended up sleeping in the one room. Out of 4 stays, one we considered to be relaxing, that's not a good enough ratio to chance again.

Very dated. Has wifi though, but that constantly drops out and disconnects you. No indication where to get ice, searched entire floor, no ice no mention of ice either.. No menu for the restaurant or any restaurant in the room. Pools are nice. Supposed to be a pool bar... No idea where that is. Quiet pool/hot tub is anything but.
Very expensive. Nights stay was a gift, would not pay this much myself. Small bottle of water in room is $2.25... Seriously? No free parking, either.
The only redeeming part of this place, is the pools and is only why it gets a 3 star.

The hotel is very old. The carpet in our bedroom was disgusting, I couldn t even walk without shoes because I was afraid of bacterias. The bed had sand on it and someone s else bikini was hanging on the washroom. The room was ready half hour after our check-in time.
Staff were not helpful at all, they were worried about people who were staying for a conference more than everyone else. Parking is not included in the price.
The pools were fine.
I won t be back there at all, it wasn t the experience that I was expecting for the price.

This hotel is way over priced for what we re getting. The sound proof of the room were horrible. The hot spring pool it s so NOT hot at all. Was really cold considering was supposed to be HOT SPRING. The hotel is very out of dated. Old! We would not want to be back here again. Not with $300+ a night!

I have been here a handful of times, probably more than most. I would say if you have kids, go in the summer. If not, this is definitely aimed toward the older crowd. I appreciate so much of the fact they have adult-only time at night at the pool. Room service is good and worth it, but we are very fond of the surrounding restaurants. Definitely recommend the nearby hikes. Only reason I give 4 stars is because of the rooms. They are so outdated. Our lights kept flickering, bed is very uncomfortable, and the carpet needs a very deep clean.

We went there for the Whoville lights... There were no Whoville decorations.... But the lake side walk way was decorated a bit. Hotel was nice and the kids loved the hotsprings. We wish there was indoor pool for the kids. The indoor pool is for meditation and is meant to remain quiet. The wife and I enjoy the copper room Resturant. Staff were friendly. Not much to do in town but we enjoy the area.

Pools are a highlight. We stayed here during spring break. We had a great room overlooking the pools, could get a bit noisy in the evenings. Wish they had more staff patrolling the pool areas and enforcing some if the rules. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the lakeside cafe, fresh food was always being brought out, great omelette station. Wifi was sub par.
