I am so hurt, shocked, and depressed over what my aunt & family are experiencing at Harris Downtown right now! My aunt who is the ROCK of our lives came in with very a complicated illness. We have encountered a few nice nurses but some of the nurses and EVEN DOCTORS are VERY CARELESS, ROLLING EYES, & BRUSHING US OFF WHEN OUR FAMILY HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MACHINES GOING OFF AND ANY UPDATES ON MY AUNT. But these nurses act like we should know- we are not in the medical field and do not understand the machines or what to expect next. We basically have to beg AND I DO MEAN BEG to try and get an understanding for the plan of action for my aunt. This is so hard to go through, and the staff at this hospital become so numb to their patients that they are insensitive to the challenges each patient may have overcome, and to the families. The most depressing part is my aunt could die... GOD FORBID! BUT her time spent at the hospital should be as pleasent, as comfortable, and she should feel like she has a team of medical professionals rooting for her. I have asked several times.. HOW DO I SPEAK TO SOME KIND OF CHARGE NURSE OR FILE A FORMAL WRITTEN COMPLAINT and they continue to tell me there is no procedure for filing a written complaint.. so when you have doctors and nurses representing a hospital.. WHO DO THEY REPORT TO???? NOONE WILL TELL US.. In all honesty.. I just want to ride behavior to stop. I just want my aunt to get to quality care. A doctor walked in the room and to spare all the rude and disrespectful details told my aunt that her he was going to go against her wishes and do what he felt was the easy way out and if she declined she would die!!!!!!!!!! Who says that to someone???? There is a way to let patients know their options without being careless towards their situation or feelings.... If there were a way I could stay at the hospital 24/7 I would. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE... please go to another hospital.

This has always been our go-to ER. Now, I m reconsidering. If you or a family member is required to go to EAU department, just leave. Was told my mother would be placed here until a room is ready. A room never became available and we are now waiting on discharge after 4 days. Everyone is aware that we re in a pandemic and delays may happen but this is the worst I ve seen. Nurses, Aids, etc, leave urine and feces in the room for hours. Even after requesting someone to take it out. (Currently sitting in a room with feces in the bed side commode and it s been over an hour. Rooms are not cleaned daily. They clean the rooms but leave trash bags and trash on the floor. Food is never on time. Weigh your options before coming to this hospital.

The midwife and nurses were amazing! Everyone acted fast, encouraged and supported me, and helped me with breastfeeding. I was taken care of well along with our newborn. Everyone was respectful, professional, and personable.

Today I'm here and they're calling everybody that came in after me. I'm hurting just like they are but I don't think it's that I really believe it's the color of my skin. I should have went to Harris Southwest they're better than Harris Downtown because the one downtown I think they're prejudice.

After 2....ER rooms doing nothing I went to Harris and the Dr there immediately knew what was happening. I had my surgury and couldnt be more happier. My severe pain is gone. I was lucky to not be paralysed. Great job team everyone was so nice and was always helpful.

I want to take a moment to thank all the nurses on the 4th floor in the cardiac building.
My name is Bruce Brown and I was there from 1/12/2016 till today 1/18/2016. Had my left upper lobe removed. I just want to say that I received the best care possible as far as I'm concerned

I would have to agree with the others about this ER experience. Waiting in the ER for 8 plus hours just to be told that they do not have a machine to smash kidney stones. Ridiculous! The room was also dirty and had trash on the ground and what looked like dried blood spots as well. Won't ever be here again, if I don't have to. Go somewhere else.

The er staff was so rude durin my visit and told my husband he needed to keep his mouth shut he wasnt the patient! I had a diabetic seziure and wasnt aware of my surrounding and started to panic and the er nurse was very rude. My husband had explained tht I am a very difficult stick and tht the best place to get an IV is in my neck and the nurse blew up on him. After she left the room I begged him to get me out of there or have them transfer me to Baylor. Which they did and I got much better treatment and the staff listened to my husband.

This is not the Harris it use to be. My mother is there right now and tower 2 the 2nd floor nurses are people who do not tell the truth. They told my sister i was trying to impersonate her and when i found this out and called up there to get to the bottom of it, they were not happy at all that they had been busted with the fact all my calls are recorded.. today i tried calling the charge / head nurse and when i told her what happen she did not care 1 tiny bit.
Intergrity is gone from this place. Nit to mention they also loed when i asked what my mom was on cause she was so larthagic n cudnt barely talk, they said she was only on steriords. , well those dont do what she was going through. She was massively syddated! I will never go here again n would recommend u go somewhere else too.

They put us in a room on Jones 3 that can't be temperature controlled. It's over 80 degrees in the room during the day (springtime) and one of the nurses said that it was so cold in that room during the winter that they had to heat up a patient with a hair dryer. BOO to Harris Methodist Antepartum for not handling the basics like HVAC. We have been in this room for NINE weeks with two more to go and we may have to move down the hall becuase they can't get something simple like AC working properly to a patient room. Wonder is this is fixed all of these years later.

My husband was feeling sick so I took him to JPS turns out he was and had been having a massive heart attack but the procedure he needed something happened I heard they did not have any natural gas the storm had closed down that part so they called Texas Health and one doctor agreed to do the procedure on my husband. So he was transferred to Harris I was kinda worried I had never been to Harris or anything and JPS assured me he would be in good hands. So I get to Harris and they had already taken my husband in for his procedure it felt like eternity waiting but when he got out to recovery there was a sweet lady she gave us extra meals she had not once but twice I just did not get her name but thank you so much for your kindness. Then we were sent to his room where there were three ladies total the two ladies for morning shift Jackie and Stephanie and the lady for the night shift was Hanna these three ladies made me and my husband stay amazing they made us laugh they talked with us as if we were their own family and took great care of us the whole time I will never ever forget them I had almost lost my husband if we had not taken him at the time we did so my mind and heart were just going crazy and then these ladies helped me get past that. If I am ever in a place where I need medical help I pray to god these ladies are there they are Angels sent from heaven and these ladies really love what they do it shows so keep up the amazing work you ladies do we miss y all we love y all and God bless all of you three wonderful ladies. Thank you Hanna, Jackie and Stephanie at Texas Health Heart Center Cardiologist And thank you to the lady on the first floor also who s name I did not get. Thank You Ladies you all are the Power of 4

My husband and I visited this hospital for his follow up appointment, after being injured in a major car accident. When we walked into the hospital through Ben Hogan doors, there was no one in the screening area . After taking a few steps down the hall, a lady (Description: Braids, Light coloured - African American, Tattoo on her neck) asked us where we were going and if we had been screened, stating that we should have never left the screening area...mind you, NO ONE was there, NO mask or anything to define the area, so how were we supposed to know it was a screening area? Which is exactly what I told her... She proceeded to tell us, I went to get masks ... I guess we looked like mind readers... She was yelling, unprofessional and should absolutely be replaced. In all of my years of customer facing encounters, I ve never treated someone so low... She is an awful representation of Texas Health.

The staff here was so helpful and kind from the time I stepped into in the parking lot until finding my car after my release. Each member, from the guards to the nurses, cleaning crew, and doctor were a breath of fresh air! They were very prompt, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. The hospital was very clean , and they all gave me caring, personal attention. They were attentive to my safety and comfort as well as my health needs. I am grateful of my experience to the staff of this team for helping me in my time of need.

The nurses are nice & amazing. I just had an ICD done & this lady doctor whom I've never met came in to discharge me. She refused to send me home with any pain meds! I didn't get a sling for my arm, nothing! You pull your chest muscles apart, put a large foreign object in & tell me you dont need pain meds!!! I would of gave more stars -1 for food as exspected, but no pain meds really lady? Saying they can't give them out anymore! Don't buy it!

I went to the ER last night had a terrible experience. The nurse that was putting on the mask going into the ER was not sanitizing his hands after touching each patient. It wasn't till I told him that is not right then he sanitize his hand after touching three patients and then me. I was very upset the doctor was not a very good doctor either. He stayed with me and maybe 2 minutes if that fact. Then he said he thought I had a UTI didn't do a urine test didn't do no testing at all and then he send me home. We have been going there with my son and all other times they were amazing I don't know what happened last night. But I was very upset. There was a nurse named Brittany she was more caring than the doctor. The registration person was Blanca she was amazing as well

My Mom was hospitalized at this facility for ten d...

My Mom was hospitalized at this facility for ten days with an unknown origin of fever. She had ten doctors on her care plan. Not only did they not find out the source of the fever, they discharged her in a winter storm with power outage. Some if not all pharmacies have been affected by the outage, so needless to say she has not had any medications.

There is no patient continuity here! The nursing staff continued to complain about the lack of resources. For a family member, that concerned me about the quality of care she would receive. They exposed her to a Covid floor without receiving results from her Covid test.

I have been a health care professional for 16 years, and regardless of the resources, you do what s BEST for that patient. In the midst of a storm you continue to reassure them, that they are in the best place, being taken care of by dedicated professionals!

I will continue my due diligence in this matter, because I would hate for anyone else to experience this!

I had an ATV accident and was rushed to Harris Methodist FT Worth. The emergency room doctor had xrays done on my leg and sent me home with an all clear diagnosis. The next day, I woke up with severe knee and leg swelling and went to a local emergency room and they xrayed me again and informed me that I had a Tibia fracture in my left knee. I went back to the xrays taken by Harris Methodist and noticed that they didnt even xray my knee but only up to the knee. I had mentioned to them in the emergency room that I had smashed my knee against a tree but they didnt xray it. Now I have a medical bill that they wont waive and are giving me the run around. My point is that when you have a patient come in from an ATV accident where the leg is smashed up and complains about not being able to twist his leg, how do you not do complete Xrays. Unacceptable service where the patient is just discharged in the most urgent manner but not in an accurate manner.

My grandmother was sent here by here PCP Monday ni...

My grandmother was sent here by here PCP Monday night because a CT scan showed a brain bleed and stroke. My mom gets there with her and they do another CT scan in the ER and they tell her yes there is one but it's small. They of course admit her and say they want to do an MRI to see exactly where and how bad it is. My mother saw a Dr at 7 AM yesterday morning and was told there would be an order put in for the MRI. Well come 6 PM yesterday evening there was still no order put in. I was livid. I went downstairs and spoke to the woman at the front desk to make a complaint. She made a phone call and then informed me I needed to speak to the charge nurse. I head back upstairs and speak to her. She checks while standing there to see if the Dr had left any notes and informs me that the order for the MRI was just put in. It took me finally complaining and going over their heads to get it done in less than 10 minutes. Well in between this time they had done a urine analysis and we were told by the charge nurse during the conversation about the MRI those results came back negative for infection. Well come early this morning and a nurse comes in to give my grandmother a shot of antibiotics. My mom stops them and asks for what and was told for her urinary tract infection. But we were told there was no infection. She gets the shot anyway. She FINALLY gets her MRI about 10 this morning and those results apparently came back clean. So how can we have two Drs telling us there is one and now magically there is nothing and now she magically has a UTI. The charge nurse comes in the room and shows me her chart after I speak to her about what I need to do to transfer her to another hospital and shows me where it came back negative for infection and her culture was inconclusive so they gave her the antibiotics to be safe. My mom had finally had enough of the back and forth and lies and miscommu this evening and spoke to her Dr who is affiliated with this hospital and saw her charts and said her kidney function was very low as well as her B12. I go to the nurses station and inform them of this and the charge nurse looks at me and rolls her eyes and says "Ok?" and then tells me it's been this way for 6 months so there's nothing they can do other than message the Dr so he sees it in the morning which is a complete lie because she has not had any urine samples or kidney tests done during that time to even assume that. We start pushing for IV fluids to get her hydrated because she hasn't used the restroom in over 24 hours and can't eat or drink because she's been so doped up and out of her mind. Earlier in the day they even took her pole out of the room because apparently she didn't need it. But no what do they do instead? Oh we're going to check her cholesterol. What for??? I filed a complaint with Patient Advocates today and will be adding the charge nurse on duty tonight to that list. What my family has experienced here is absolutely unacceptable. I have had to watch her go from bad to worse and sit by while nothing is being done about it at all. She's literally there taking up a bed. Your facility needs more competent Physicans as well as more compassionate nurses who don't roll their eyes at you. I will go as far as I have to with this because I am completely baffled by what has happened.

Do not go to this ER unless you will actually die before reaching another one. For reasons I don't understand my mother was originally admitted to Harris HEB where she was diagnosed with a bladder infection and had an MRI that revealed her brain cancer had returned. HEB transferred her to Fort Worth supposedly to see a neurosurgeon. She never saw a neurosurgeon, and according to her never received medication for the bladder infection. She was forcibly discharged from Fort Worth in the wee hours of the morning. Said she was constantly badgered to find transportation to leave or else the hospital would get a cab service to transfer her and she would have to pay whatever the fee may be, which could be significant since she lives nearer to HEB. I hope that our insurance company will refuse to pay for the transfer and whatever "treatment" may be claimed from Fort Worth as none seems to have been provided. They just traumatized and bullied a frail elderly woman with diminished mental faculties and failing physical health for no purpose.

I had my 3rd baby here and I live in Trophy Club so I travelled quite a ways to get here. Mainly because of the nurse midwife group that delivers there. The nurse midwife group was outstanding! They truly give 100%. They gave me a lot of freedom with my preferred method of delivery and they stood by me the whole process. I could go on and on and on. As for the staff at Harris... they were awesome.. everything you would want and more. I am a nurse and have been working at a different hospital for 6 years. I know a good staff when I see them. They were kind, professional and accommodating. I had 6 family members watching me deliver and the staff welcomed them. They were not annoyed by my family members crowing the room and in fact they encouraged them to help with the process. I will always come back to the hospital... it is old and a little creepy but the staff is well worth the trip.

We we're in Texas for a much needed vacation after my oldest daughter had brain surgery on 3/11/19. We we're transported from one hospital that preformed all of the test to this hospital due to the first one did not have a neurosurgeon. We arrived early this morning and my daughter had been admitted, it is 10:30 pm and we have never seen a surgeon yet today even though my daughter's condition can go really bad fast. She has a VP shunt which is a tube in her brain that drains fluids from her brain to keep her alive. As I've said we're from out of state in 23 yrs of hospitals I have never had to have an option of myself or one of my kids to sleep on a germ infested hospital floor. Where is the professionalism, my daughter's life lays on the line I know it's the weekend but really this isn't a hotel no one wants to here.

This was my first almost 2 week stay here and I must say that it was different. I feel like their ICU has some great nurses that makes you feel like they actually care. Each time i was on a reg floor, they wasnt so kind, they seemed to not know how to draw blood and some seem just too young and needed more training. I hated that i had tl keep being forced to use oxygen when i felt is though i did not need it or it was drying me out, i was not trying to become oxygen dependent. I felt as though, the doctors was only interested in giving the nurses orders of meds for me to take and wasnt truly interesged in resolving the issues i came there for. Im going to sit there and allow gou to say you are helping by giving me meds that MAY fix one health problem, but end up causing another health problem. The doctors seemed to take little interest in seeing and talking with me, most was in in and out before i can even say a word at times. I felt as tho my concerns of why i came there was not being properly and fully addressed and i noticed that i was being lied to when i asked about my xray. I had a blood transfusion done and they just wanted me to keep getting one, when that wasnt the issue. Everything was my blood level to the doctors nothing more. They tried to make it seem like i was half nuts at times or confused, bc i got overwhelmed with them not adressing my concerns and i started crying asking them what is wrong with yall forcing oxygen on me. I had to stay for at least a week to try and satisfy the concerns of my cps worker to get my son back from foster care, do to me not having childcare and i placed him there so i can get well. They tried to use that against me by saying, dont you want your son back, well you got to let us treat you. It was an EXPERIENCE, some good and some crazy. Would i come back, most likely no. I asked to see evidence on paper, that their donor blood was clear of diseases, they rsfused to show. I do know that i will be testing myself in a month or so to make sure i didnt contract anything from their blood. However, the time there helped me get myself and body together, i had got alot of sleep and rest and the food wasnt so bad...I thank you for that.

0 Stars!!!!! As someone who unfortunately but frequently has to visit the ER! I Sincerely HATE Harris Downtown!
I don t use the word hate at all but I have to when I bring up Harris Methodist downtown. Never have I ever met so many unprofessional people who seem to genuinely hate their workplace/ job! As a nurse/doctor you are a caregiver someone who is supposed to be trusting with their patients and self. Unfortunately none of those people work at Harris. My most recent visit was through E.R and a nurse by the name of Gale R. was very unprofessional. I asked her not to put the I.V into my main artery but she did so anyhow since she couldn t find another vain, but this was before checking my other arm. Then as she went to give me the medicine she spilled it all over the floor, wiped it up with napkins and left to clock out since it was the end of her shift. When I asked her about the spillage and if the doctor would be back she told me to ask the next nurse who came in she was done for the day .
That s only one horror out of at least 7other times!!! where either it was staff, policy, or professionalism! Don t come here even if your dying your better off at JPS! All the good, caring and knowledgeable doctors and nurses are at Baylor! That s where me and anyone else I know Will go for the rest of my living days!

My mother suffered a massive stroke and we were told that she has less than 1% chance to survive. Since then she has improve more than 75% now. Without these awesome staff of doctors and nurses I don't think my mom would have any fighting chance. Special thanks to Dr. Sankara, Dr Lapsiwala, Dr Hollingsworth, Dr Yurtas, and Dr Chenny. Special thanks to Nurses Melissa, Dora, Michele, Chelsea, John, Allie, Amber, Kass, Martha, Tiffany. You're all Hero in my eyes. God bless you all !!!!

I will never return to any Harris location. After being harassed and treated like I was a prisoner for denying shots and unnecessary testing on my newborn I will definitely make sure to never use this hospital chain again. They even threatened to call CPS because I refused such testing and shots. I stood my ground. I was forced to speak with a hospital social worker on thanksgiving who was extremely rude to me. She inquired about my mental health, when I told her I wasn t comfortable discussing my personal mental health with her and that was between me and my primary doctor, she smirked and laughed and said she would write that down after she asked a bunch of unnecessary questions she wandered why I refused shots and testing, I told her it was my religious beliefs. (In which I even brought a notarized legal document affidavit as my birth plan explaining my rights, with Texas laws on religion and refusal of testing.) I was hesitant to answer my religion to her because it is quite frankly none of her business. Then after she left my room, I went to get more ice and water, the social worker and my nurse, Rita K., (a Chinese woman) were loudly discussing my information in the hallway, Nurse Rita was telling the social worker to tell CPS tell them you heard gossiping or soemthing and urging the social worker to lie to child services!!! I have reported this nurse to the state and will make sure everyone I know is aware of how this hospital operates. I am completely disgusted by their conduct and harassment towards me and my family for our religious beliefs.

I have had the most amazing experience with this hospital. I was sent here for consultation with specialist and needed up getting admitted to the antepardum floor at 35 w 3d to be monitored for low fluid. The care I received was above and beyond anything I could ever imagine! I would defiantly choose this hospital for care again if I lived in the area. The nurses that cared for me were defiantly in the right field of work!

I had a good stay here after surgery. From admission, to preop, surgery, recovery and postop stay on the floor, everything was very good. I was treated with dignity and respect. Simple things were done amazingly well and complex tasks were done even better. All staff introduced themselves with smiles!! SMILES!! Calls were answered in a timely fashion. Food was meh, but honestly I didn't care because everything else was so good. I'd absolutely recommend Harris Methodist! I've never received better care at any hospital, anywhere.

We were going to authorize the doctor to remove life support. Nobody knew if Doyle Ainsworth wanted to be an organ donor. All we needed was his drivers license to see if he was an organ donor. Security refused to give us Doyle's possessions. They sent us on a wild goose chase where elderly siblings walked all over the courthouse looking for any way to get authorization from the court. This is not possible. Doyle's organs we're not donated because security wanted to keep his property. He died Friday night. If you need an organ, call security.

This experience was horrible and I will be notifying OSHA and CLIA ... they were extremely unsanitary. They did not follow universal precautions. I had to assist the nurse in draining of my daughters staph cyst ... they did not give her a gown, left her in her dirty clothes while they "cleaned" her wound. They did not give her anything for the pain before she started to dig the needle around in the abscess. I will be reporting this hospital immediately.

The doctors and nurses are all amazing. Took very good care of me the 5 days I was in the hospital. Very clean, everyone was so polite and gentle. Caring people. I would recommend this hospital to anyone. If you have to be hospitalized this is the place to be hospitalized in.

This hospital is worst and the doctors much worst....

This hospital is worst and the doctors much worst.

Example:Dr Chavez has zero bedside manner, she comes spends with you less than (one minute) so she can claim she saw you for insurance purposes. I am stunned how could a doctor like that decide your entire future in one minute, cuts medicines you where prescribed by your 9 specialist without consulting or asking for example my history!
I came in emergency short of breath CT shows water in my lung and yet lung doctor dr fahoum discontinued my (dual nap) when Respitory saw my record Walgreens that I take it home 4 times. Dr fahoum is same as Chavez one minute guy! Yet decides all.

Dr Chavez cuts my prednisone to half when my rheumatologist want to take me off slowly since he started new meds this lady cuts sudden that creates my body to have more issues.

No wonder so many are dead in this hospital through careless decision of few doctors, it is nightmare to be here.

Contrary Dr kadiwala he went out of his way to insure my long term EEG is done appropriate.
I am grateful to all who helped me including nurses (all and Respitory) I am not saying everyone is bad!

Honestly Nurses/Respitory go out of there way and they are great but majority of doctors here are horrible. I would advice you all from experience been sick three years this hospital is worst hospital.

I am very shocked that over 10 years every time Harris Methodist called me as volunteer chaplain of which they got my number from cooks children which I serve regularly;! I always rushed to helped, but when i needed them I got treated horrible.

Stay away from Dr Chavez she is there just to make money.

She is rude, and all she knows when u confronted her tell me what you want : and then I will think about. Next you knows like a childish behavior she will punish you by something.

If I really post for you, pictures of how many times they bruise me my hands and arms by trying to put IV when I told them; I needed pick nurse; and now all red and finally she saw it she said; I will bring special team to look for the vains; guess what it has been three days; didn t get that team and neither fluid IV needed.

This lady is typical doctor in third world country she is not working on the standard care of USA.

I will not trust this Harris Methodist with my life and it s out patient centers unless they change.

Don t believe what you read there beautiful attractive website, rather experience of patients, I hate to see any human suffer under dr Chavez and like her.

They are here to make money you are nothing but $.
Practically, they won t let you take ur meds, but when their pharmacy cannot find your kind meds, they will take urs and put it label it and use same med. so I asked question simple med nexium they don t have it pills why don t u label it mine, no we will give u liquid. Is all billing insurance.

They will not consult or asked your other doctors they go by what they want even though majority my doctors called in no response.

I am sicker than when I came in.

Last; all doctors here they will gang up on you if you have issues with one of them, no compassionate, care etc ; and all of them work as abusive gang team, every one of them has ego.

Ask your self; you have 9 speciality care and each wrote you different medicine, you end up in this hospital there doctors will change what you where prescribed without consulting with ur doctors and you get sicker and sicker. If you dare to ask a question you will get punished by taking away something! .

Believe me I can write a book each doctor from fahoum to Chavez.

I will end in good note Dr Thomas in Richardson tower is exceptional like kadiwala in this unit, they both listen to you and at least cares and respectful give you there opinions.

My husband was transferred from a smaller Harris Hospital. He had a severe nosebleed which resulted in a drastic drop in his blood count. He has a history of nasopharyngeal cancer. In the ER some gauze was pack inti his nose, than admitted and received 2 units of blood. ENT doctor was consulted but never saw him. His nurse practitioner did but basically did nothing but tell him to go home and see his regular ENT doctor. After two days he was discharged, We went to his regular doctor, he removed the cause and was appalled at the poor effort. There was still some oozing, he sent us directly to a different hospital. He underwent emergency surgery at 4AM to repair the problem. He had a bleeding artery that was cauterized, He should never been discharged from Harris, They should have addressed the issue. I am very disappointed in the hospital and staff. my husband and I are both in our seventies, I feel we were treated as if his health issues were a both to them and not worthy of there attention. I will never depend on them again. A hospital is there to help people, they did not do so.

I would like to express my deepest heart felt appreciation for the doctors, nurses and staff of Cooks Children's Hospital in Fort-Worth Texas. My grandson had a bacteria infection and received the best treatment and care while he was there. He was released today and he is in better spirits then he was before he got sick. He had 2 surgeries on his knee. They were attentive, caring, patient and understanding to our situation. They explained every step and procedure that was taking place. Although my daughter was up step and concerned, they made sure that eased all he worries. From my entire family to the Cooks Children's Hospital staff and facility. You are a true Blessing to the community and the state of Texas. Thank you thank you thank you thank you and I know that saying it will never be enough

I am changing my 1-star rating from when I gave birth to my 3-year old to a 5-star rating because in 2018 I had 3 surgeries and my experience was more than acceptable. Besides having an awesome Dr. that I've been with for 10+ years, the anesthesiologists are very friendly and comforting. The anesthesia is always the part that makes me nervous. I will always request Dr. Brian Bormann as my anesthesiologist if I ever have to have more surgeries. He sat and talked with my husband and I for a few minutes both of the times that I had him, he is comforting and professional. He checks on you upon waking and makes sure your pain level is acceptable. His assistants are friendly as well. They all give off comforting and soothing vibes.

This is the only hospital I come to. Usually the staff is good especially the nurses. But lately the hospital has gone downhill. I'm a renal patient which usually I'm put in the 8th floor in the Harris Tower. This Tower needs serious remodeling. The paint is chipping off the walls. The tub has rust stains in it. Most of the light fixtures dont work. I can go on and on. I think it would really benefit the hospital to remodel since it started doing renal transplants recently. Like I siad this is my go to hospital but it needs some TLC.

October 23, 2019 I presented myself to the ER with a kidney stone. I was seen immediately, given pain medication and a CT scan that showed a 3 mm stone. All was well, the stone passed. I received a bill from Harris that totaled over $7000.00 for my approximately 5 hour stay. After my insurance paid their portion I was left with a whopping $1611.00 bill. It s outrageous that it should cost over $7000.00 for a scan, blood work, a pain medication injection. I guess I need to shop around the next time I have a kidney stone.

So, I responded to the reply to my review and as of December 5, 2019 I have not been contacted regarding my bill.
