Hard Rock Hotel Review

Incredibly comfortable bed! Executive room was nice size. Only complaint was the poor lighting in the bathroom... and the porter getting wrong room and waking us up in the middle of a nice New Years Day lie-in! Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Could use a little updating, but overall good value.

Rude and lazy lobby staff.... I was literally told that, "no-one cares" about a broken lift and that disabled people wouldn't be able to user them. By THREE different people! Absolutely disgusting. One of them even wanted an argument about it! Awful, awful place.

the rooms are very small but the location is the center of everything

Good location, but the bedroom is very small and the bathroom is in a very bad condition. The wifi is free but the connection cuts off all the time. At this price I allow myself to put a star.

Conveniently located but drabby and a bit run down. Decent service and breakfast buffet.

Hotel is clean and has all commodities. Lots of choices for the breakfast. The team is also very nice and speaks several languages.

Little bit of style over substance.
Decor of the room was nice with some money splashed on expensive features like a pendant ring light and ombre curtains. Very modern and stylish.
Great marketing graphics and the reception area definately gives a wow factor on arrival.

On the down side my phone was disconnected, the shower took quite a while to heat up and the water pressure wasn't great. The shower gel, shampoo and conditioner left my skin and hair feeling very dry. The toilet upon arrival was unclean and needed a flush, nothing major but certainly unpleasant to arrive to.



The staff were generally pleasant and overall it was a good night's sleep for a overnight stay. If I was stay from a longer period of time (more than 2/3 days) for the cost I'd perhaps rethink my options.

My favorite Hotel in London. I am regular guest . The hotel is well located over marble arch station , Oxford street . Staff are multi-national and friendly .

After the anticipation of staying at the Hard Rock Hotel we arrived. The lobby is vast and with a relaxed vibe. The design and memorabilia all around the lobby and hotel is a homage to popular culture. Rooms are stylish and well equipped.

Max and Luis at front of House were exceptional in dealing with an unfortunate incident during our stay. Both are a credit to the hotel . I would also like to extend a warm thank you to all the front of house team we met and to both bar and breakfast staff.

The hotel is a beautiful four-star hotel, but some rooms are old, some are renovated, and generally the rooms are narrow. Alan, I am in the hotel, we reserved four rooms, and they are defective in the late entry procedures and management does not train well the reception staff to deal with guests professionally and professionally and take into account the early entry of their customers.
I dealt with the hotel four times, this time for the worst.
In general, the location is distinguished, the cleanliness is excellent, the restaurant is distinguished, and the safety is high.

Directly opposite Marble Arch, The Cumberland is well located for those needing to be in this part of London. There a tube station just around the corner and buses running past regularly. It s about a 15 minute walk or short cab/Uber ride to Paddington Station to catch the Heathrow Express train to LHR. Price of the hotel was reasonable given its location. Good broad choice at breakfast with helpful attentive staff. Rooms and bathrooms very clean and towels nicely warmed on a heated towel rack. The room had a minibar fridge, but it only had two bottles of water still and gassed. There is a convenience store just over the road though. The only negative I found was Check-in and Checkout was surprisingly slow. I don t know how it could take so long to sign the room card, them get a swipe of your credit card for incidentals and give you the room key.

Perfectly and centrally located in the heart of London with a great inviting lobby and live music/bar combined. Room rates better than most in the area.

Good facilities once I'd discovered how to turn on the lights, comfortable bed which I retired to early because there was no WiFi signal from.my room and no phone signal either.

The hotel location is incredible, direct view on the marble arch and Hyde park.

Only one thing was bad in this hotel, the internet connection is REALLY REALLY BAD !! I struggled a lot . I don't if it was only in my room , however the other services is good and the room is fancy.

Same great Hard Rock Cafe menu. This place makes the best burgers. Large dining area with the usual Rock memorabilia up on the walls, and a fantastic looking bar. A bonus is it has the Hard rock shop where you can buy the classic t-shirts etc....

Great hotel, great venue for meetings and conferences. Very tasty food!

Zero service since they are short of staff
They would not respond on helpline number for hours and would be shameless to charge for something u never ordered . Extremely dissatisfied .. me and my husband dont drink and we were charged for beer in room during checkout and when i told we never drink so please show us the camera if i was served in the room since the waiter must have croased through corridors and they had no proof to proove it to me .... but my badluck they had my credit card details

Good facilities. The buffet breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were to our satisfaction. We unfortunately did not receive good service from one of the staff members. Very very rude. We also had to pay a deposit of 50pounds which took very very long to get paid back into our accounts.

Stayed in Cumberland in 1985 for the first time in my life when i was 2 years old and from that date this is our favorable place to stay. I have few comments here to share why I highly recommend this hotel although I found many people didn't recommend this hotel because of the room or the quality of the service. As a frequent traveler to London you should take into consideration the following points, if you are looking for a cheap hotel with five stars hotel then London shouldn't be your first option and if you think that you you will stay in large room in central London for less than 150 pound and great service also you can't find it here. Cumberland is one of the best hotel for an average night that will cost you around 200 pound.. if the rooms are small then don't go with standard room and choose their executive rooms which is very nice with an access to the lounge which is my preferable option Or family room then it worth each pound you pay them other than this you have to choose another hotel which is not in central London or Oxford street .. What you pay you will get .. I highly recommend this hotel for family and if you would like to enjoy easy access to central london. The team are really great although they are busy with the guests, breakfast buffet is just fine but you can imagine they have more than 600 guests they need to serve them at once, but you can enjoy fresh fruits, coffee and live station for omelette which is excellent as they serve hundred of guests every day .. So I think this review is very realistic .. I highly recommend only there executive rooms and family rooms.

Old building and rooms I change my room twice because of the windows it doesn't open and the AC is very hot

Great location, spacious rooms compared to other London hotels, and delicious breakfast. However, the composition of the breakfast menu did not change, so I was bored for 5 nights.


If it's not just for work in the breakfast room, this is a hotel that would be happy to recommend (location and room size, etc.)

Excellent location near Hyde park, a subway station, rental bikes, many shops (Primark opposite) and eateries right outside the lobby. Rooms clean and well stocked with simple amenities, smell is nice (no smoke or otherwise). The place is oriented towards a particular crowd, Arab speaking, but it doesn't matter much. Breakfast had a wonderful selection, fresh and tasted very well.

The hotel is very old. The rooms offer moderate comfort, but are relatively large. The furniture and the bathroom are shabby. The view from the window goes into the inner courtyard and is therefore not very appealing. In my opinion, there are also too few sockets in the rooms.
Although our room was a non-smoking room, it smelled of smoke - and unfortunately you can't get rid of it.

The lobby, on the other hand, is very representative and the location directly on Marble Arch is perfect. Still, I don't want to stay here again.

False Fire alarm 2 days in a row its really annoying very early in the morning

The only good thing about the Cumberland is it s location at the Western End of Oxford St. I stayed last night and willl never stay again.
The first room I was put in had opened water in the fridge, I asked if I could swap as after working a 12 hour shift I really wanted a room with a bath. I changed rooms and the bath was too dirty to use, admittedly a lot of the marks were staining but there were hairs (and I don t think they were from someone s head) and dirt in the bath. There were slippers by my bed which had been pre-worn which was obvious from the marks on the sole. When I turned on the shower the drains stank.
Breakfast was terrible, cold porridge, cold toast, over cooked eggs and instant coffee.

I would actually like a refund, I will never stay at the Cumberland again, the price reflects the location which was pointless for me as I was working, it does not reflect the quality.

Top hotel in a fantastic location with bus and subway in the immediate vicinity. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was perfect. I was very satisfied with the room, which was large, clean and very tastefully decorated. I like to come back here .. Recommendation,

Just pay for the room.
I order water 3 times over room service and I didn't get any. I don't know why.
I order a fork for eat and there is price for it!

I'm not going to lie... I was shocked to see how small the rooms actually were. I expected a Hard Rock Hotel to have slightly larger accommodations. Our air conditioner was also broken the entire time causing us to sleep in uncomfortable heat each night. The staff did not attempt to fix the problem at all.

For my next trip to London, I will definitely be staying at a different hotel. I've had better experiences at Marriott and IHG properties there.

My review is for the service in the lobby. I'm very impressed with the staff, friendly. They have done very well with the design of this hotel. Hard Rock is never a place I would visit and it always feels outdated, but I congratulate the team who have produced a contemporary Hard Rock Hotel.

A great place for the music & live band each night.

The absolute worst service I have received at a hotel, it s almost like they try to be as inhospitable as possible.

Hard rock cafe is just the best it could get. Stage for bands is so cool, food portions are well worth it for the price and the staff is always so smiley. Been there already 2 times n more to come!

We r staying in hard rock in London at present. I am here for a holiday with my family. With 2 kids. I am here till 16th but the hotel has very poor service. We asked them 4 times for an extra bed for my kid since we have checked in yesterday 10th july but they r not bothered. No one picks up the call at the reception. Even after going to the reception and telling them again n again. Hopeless.worst experience of my life. Worst hotel worst service.

Great location to tube station. Excellent facilities and felt welcome during my stay.

Huge plush London Hotel situated at Marble Arch. Its spacious... light and airy with a great feel to it. I was there on a course on the lower ground floor. The restrooms were clean and the rooms perfect. Id love to stay there sometime

Hard Rock is my favorite restaurant and this hotel is certainly one of the best I have ever stayed at. The location is wonderful, in front of Hyde Park on Oxford Street. The decor is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, well lit. The entrance hall is magnificent, with a Freddie Mercury piano on display. When I return to London, I will stay there again.

Functional, but nothing special. Appeared to be in the middle of refurbishment and training a lot of new staff.

it has great music, and you can ask reception to deliver a fender guitar to your room or a dj table so you can have lots of fun.

as soon as you enter the lobby you'd think that the interior designers must be out of their minds and the feeling deepens as you see the rest of the hotel. just stay somewhere else.

The worest experience i've ever had . I booked for an executive room the receptionist put me in a standard room !! he said no rooms available ! not my fault .. room service do not come to the room regularly .. towels are dirty , there is no variety of food in breakfast , noisy atmospher in a breakdast area . Will never come again

The room was nice, the shower could have been better and the staff were great. I was really annoyed that I couldn t get a refund for breakfast after i decided just to stay in bed instead; no warning the day before about the refund policy and I was pressured to make the sale at check in.

Had prepaid for suite on Rock Royalty floor only to arrive and find we had been given a king room ( for 3 people). Aircon did not work. Club area on ground floor and not where the club rooms are located. All a bit disappointing.
