Hard Rock Hotel Review

Very disappointing for a large hotel. The concierge staff attending the bags were rude and tended to give more wealthy looking guests their attention. The room was clean however, our heated towel rail was faulty. We informed the staff and they said they would send someone up to fix it, in which we said not to bother as we were staying only one night. A maintenance man then came to our room at midnight, banging on our door and entering without permission to fix it. Location handy if you need a tube station, want to shop on Oxford street or visit Kensington Palace. Won t be coming back, plenty of other hotels around that actually treat you like valued guest.

2019 New year Eve. The idea of food is just wrong in that place. Bad quality, luck of love and everything overprice. Two advices: change the chef & balance price and quality. On the other hand the music was fine.

Great location next to Marble Arch tube station. Professional staff and great food.

It's the old Cumberland Hotel, renovated. Looks good but terrible location (unless you want to be near Oxford St and Edgware Rd).

Excellent hotel, comfortable rooms, good service, great location, recommended!

So much security that true guests are made feel uncomfortable. No outlets even near the bed. So massive that breakfast becomes a mission. Can't fault the cleanliness though and modern bathroom.

I'll start with the bad but stay with me as there are also positives!
Arrived at 3pm to check in, there was a technical glitch which meant we waited 45 mins to reach the front of the queue, we were only told of the glitch by a lovely female member of staff who brought us a refreshing drink -none of the reception staff thought to communicate this to us and all looked as miserable as sin - this didn't change throughout my stay, reception staff really should be more cheerful as the face of the hotel! Reached check in, there was blood all over the marble surface which the check in guy didn't seemed miffed about when pointed out - disgusting! Our room wasnt ready, it's now 4pm, really!
We were then promised a drink at the bar while we waited - never happened! I listened to a few other unhappy people in the foyer, one had been moved rooms 3 times for various reasons!
Finally our room is ready and up we go -the room was fabulous, in fact the whole hotel is just beautiful and I loved that aspect. The air con didn't work, by now we were pushed for time and just got ready and left for our evening out.
Arrived back at 2am - our room was 28 degrees!!!! We went to sleep without complaining as quite frankly I couldn't be bothered as we were exhausted but it was gross!
Breakfast wasn't great, a bit like a dodgy 3 star all inclusive.
Food in the cafe was delicious and the staff there were amazing!
Overall it was ok - but considering the price, not good enough Hard Rock, you've been open 2 months now, sort it out!

Amazing location in Oxford street opposite of the marble arch ....the hotel entrance is under construction but not disturbing at all (Dec 2018).

The hotel levels from inside is like a maze ...good for kids to find the room ... I enjoyed it:)

Good breakfast variety, clean and fast check in and check out.

The best part the friendly and supportive staff in all the sections.

It was a lot of fun, everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I booked a 27-square-meter gold room, I thought at a higher price than the normal rooms, and I was surprised that they gave me a normal room 19 meters after I lived a day. I inquired from the reception and he apologized for an unacceptable way, and their manager and a rule trying to convince me that it is the hotel.

Every time I come here the service gets worse. We needed a second duvet and it took 4 hours, three phone calls and a trip to the lobby. Every time I check in there is a problem and they need a supervisor to find my reservation or whatever.

Came to a conference here. Lovely rooms with great catering.

Very hospitable staff. Lovely lunch. The gnocchi here is really very good indeed. And the NY chocolate cake was divine.

I used to be a regular customer since 2012, up until 2016 they were doing OK. Since then, they started going downslide; smelly rooms and bathrooms, uncomfortable beds, broken furniture and the room prices keep rising. The newly refurbished rooms (end of 2017) seem to be alright, but still not to the expected level... Disappointed.

I'm really love the hotel every year since 2004 I'm trying to London i went to the cumberland:)
My next visit will be 29 July I'm known every one work in the hotel

Paid for breakfast but due to early departure gor a budget box breakfast. No option given to cancel. Hotel good though.

Nice hotel, just 3 minutes to oxford street, where you can find anything you want, reataurant, cafe, boutique, mall and the marble arch. I stay in this hitel with the group 3 buses (100 paxs) for 3 nights. Having good breakfast during our stay

Good hotel in a great location. Is located right at the end of Oxford Street and has a tube station right next door.

Nice room ... but the construction works are noisy at early morning .. ;)

Staff where really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. The rooms where really nice, once we learnt what light switch did what lol. One thing I do have to note is that if you are thinking of booking, have a look on their website to see if you can become a member, your able to collect points to eventually get a free night at one of their hotels (I think). Anyway, highly reccomend.

One of the most beautiful Hard Rock Cafes inside the Hard Rock Hotel and the memorabilia in the Foyer is spectacular. The food was great and the cocktail were well made.

Staying tonight. As a corporate guest paying over 200 erosion I think I have been put in the staff quarters. Have stayed here many times but still put me beside air con . You would think they would look at history. Nope. I guess it's other better hotels for me. Room tiny. Bed up against a wall. Pull duvet over and the whole think bed protector and all came with it. No hotel info or menus in room. Definitely staff quarters. Over 200 a night. Got to be kidding

The service at the lounge was good. The IPA on tap was not very good though
