Hale is a charming theater that brings in wonderful talent. Their shows are affordable and always impress!

These guys always do a spectacular job of whatever show they are doing. I've been seeing shows here since I was little and still love to experience.

Great community theater. I'm always impressed with what they do with such a small space. It makes for a more intimate and enjoyable theater experience.

Newsies was fabulous. Once again Hale Center Theater delivered

Beautiful performance! The acting, singing, dance, set, and costume never fail to impress! Great date night activity, great family activity, HCTO takes the bacon!

They make the very best of their small stage.
Edit 11/22/19: Down from five stars. The performance of "Thoroughly Modern Millie" was superb. However, the customer service was horrible. Patrons lined up at the door at 7:00, per all the instructions. The wind was bitingly cold. Several elderly people were shivering and huddled together. At 7:05, a patron knocked on the door. At 7:07, a theater employee (blond hair and beard, wearing a headset) opened the door and said sarcastically, "Yeah, knocking makes us open the door faster." Then he rolled his eyes at the elderly gentleman who was standing nearest the door. Stop it. People were freezing. You were late. Don't treat your patrons that way.

Always have a blast when we come here! Never disappoints. Costs a pretty penny sometimes though.

The set and play was excellent (Charlie's Aunt). The seating is tight for us over-large Americans. The reservation website does indicate larger sized seats so keep that in mind.

Set front row near the entrance. Although quite close the design of the stage makes them very good seats.

We saw A Christmas Carol. It was very well done for such a small stage. They use the space they have very wisely. I would Highly recommend seeing a play here.

I love going to this place they're great. I have had season tickets for the last 4 years. It's a great place for all ages. No bad seating.

Always a great show! Very talented performers. Great pricing and inventive sets. Just a bit rundown on the outside of the building. But that is no reflection on the amazing performances.

I loved it! Went to see "anything goes," last night, and I would watch it over and over! It was adorable, the acting was superb, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall I would spend money to come back here!

The show was great but it was a very very small venue and the seats are un believable close together literally like sardines in a can and the double sold are tickets so we got there and there were people trying to sit in the same seats we had like I said it was a good show the actors did a great job just the theater was kind of lack luster the way they pack people in there it blatantly obvious it's all about them making money

Love coming to the Orem Hale. Top quality talent in a super quaint and cozy theater. Really not a bad seat in the house and I'm always amazed at what they can do with the space. Will be a sad day when this little gem finally gets upgraded.

Looks so small, yet WOW the cast and choreography was amazing! And the fun in the play was laughs and smiles and look foreword to going again.

Every production we have seen has been outstanding and thoroughly enjoyable. BRAVO!

We attended the 2018 showing of A Christmas Carol. The theater is an intimate venue where it is easy to see and hear the performers. Speaking of the performers, I was very impressed with the quality of the singing.
I would recommend Hale Center Theater to anyone that wants good quality entertainment at reasonable prices.

Don't be fooled by its humble exterior -this is good theater! We love going on preview nights-it is a great way to have an even more affordable theater experience. Especially with the preview night, be sure to get tickets well in advance.

Been going for years. Theatre in the round is a cool experience. Very intimate compared to other venues where you're way far from the stage.

Conception based theatre, it was very well written, the actors were very engaged in the production, and absolutely hilarious

We live close and love going to this theater! The acting has always been enjoyable and we love the plays this year! All great plays and worth seeing. I loved the actors in the Odd Couple. It was a solid performance from each cast member. Personally, I cant wait to see Charley's Aunt! Thanks Hape Center team for sharing your talent and charm.

The small, arena like theater makes everything they do a lot more entertaining and every production is always very well done. I enjoy coming here!

The performance of Annie was great. We were really impressed by the performance of the orphan girls.

I just love this place. I never had an appreciation for plays and such until The Christmas Carol at HTC.

Great performances, very professional standing ovation by audience at end. Sold out very early. Every one I've talked too loved the performances, many have returned to see it a second or third time.

We attended the Jr. production of A Christmas Carol and loved it...the acting, costumes, lighting, set...everything so well done.

We have seen about 20 shows there, and 19 out of 20 have been really fun. This is a community theater, and some of the acting is not perfect, but there is effort and enthusiasm and good clean humor.

I was very impressed with the show we saw here! The building is a little underwhelming when you first see it, and when you go inside it doesn't seem much better. But the quality of the show definitely exceeded my expectations! There were a lot of talented actors and I was very impressed with how the director & choreographer used the unique space this theater has. Would definitely see another show here.

We have been so impressed with the acting and the talent, however, a couple of months ago we saw Anything Goes and we were so disappointed. It was vulgar, suggestive and crude. Not Family-Friendly at all.
We just saw The Odd Couple and it was funny, the acting was super, as always, but cut back on the swearing please. If you advertise Family-Friendly Theater than stick to it. Otherwise, please indicate in the reviews of each play what the viewer can expect.

Love the intimacy of this theater. We went to the Christmas Carol and the acting was great, and singing spot on, and the effects were great. Great night out.

The performance seemed to be more professional than the last time I was there. It was very good.

Great type of theatre. This is theatre in the round. Parking, it's tight, but there's is enough of it. It isn't immediately known, but there are two entrances. One entrance is the long line, this line is for patrons last name A-M. On the North side there is a single entrance door for patrons N-Z. Also, if you printed your tickets ypu can use either entrance.

Inside, the theatre is smaller, but it helps that you sit all around the stage. They use the stage very well, to make use of the smaller space.I would recommend floor seats since the actors are so close they are practically touching you as they walk by. Singing and acting, was excellent.

Only thing lacking is a decent snack bar. The have basic soft drinks and water. The only snacks are movie theatre candy. They should really link to improve this.

I once was a bit of a thespian, and I was pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. Southwest US humorous interpretation champion, Utah National Foresnsic League champion, etc. I spent a lot of time critiquing other people's performances, in order to better myself. This turned me into somewhat of a critic, and I've found myself disgusted by most live performances ever since. As such, I went to "Dear Ruth" at HCT in Orem with low expectations. However, it is with great pleasure that I report my sheer delight at the cast and production. It wasn't perfect. After all, it consisted of humans. Nevertheless, I was thoroughly entertained. I would gladly watch it again. I will return when occasion permits, hungry for more.

UPDATE: September 15, 2018. I attended the performance of "Daddy Long Legs" featuring David and Scout. Absolutely delightful! I'd seen Scout in Dear Ruth and Sense & Sensibility, and she was excellent in both. This performance, however, far surpassed them. I had no idea she could sing so beautifully, and her stage presence is superb. David was excellent too. My wife loved the performance as well, stating that she seldom enjoys live productions. My expectations have always been spectacularly surpassed at HCT in Orem.

As a handicapped person, I always love going to the theater. Recently I had the privilege to attend a play called "The Scrooge." It's a Christmas play that reminds you to give to the poor. I had a little difficult time following the story but my wife explained it to me out loud as the play went along. Helpful! If I didn't hear a funny bit she would repeat it out loud for me! How do they learn all those parts? I enjoyed a Twizzler and Soda at halftime. If there was a fire in there I would be the last guy out, but worth it to feel the Christmas spirit and see some people from my ward

We needed a costume for a production. The employees were amazing and very professional. Took their time to find us the perfect costume!

I would absolutely recommend the Hale Center Theater in Orem! I have been coming to shows for years and I will continue to do so for many more years to come. I ve enjoyed my opportunity to both see shows and work on a show here. I love the atmosphere of the theater and I m constantly impressed with all they can accomplish in this space. You have my full support. Thank you for creating such beautiful theatre!

Walking into the theater expectations are low, but ended up being a very impressive performance. I was thoroughly engaged the entire evening. A fantastic night.

Great experience every time. You won't find a better performance of The Christmas Carol. My family goes every year. Great for other productions as well. Even for me -- someone who is not into that sort of thing.

I loved having season tickets last year. When I first starting attending the shows, I thought it would be disappointing being able to see other people and sitting around a small stage, like I could not immerse myself in the show. I was very wrong. The intimate setting made it much easier to connect with the show, and sometimes it was fun to see how others were reacting to it. And when I didn't want to watch the audience, it was very easy to forget they were there. After six shows or so I went to see my favorite musical at a very good playhouse with just a regular stage play, and I did not like it near as much as I used to. Circular, intimate stages are the way to go!

We LOVE this theater! Very cozy and intimate theater experience. We've seen several plays here, and we have never been disappointed. One of the most unique theater experiences around. Seats are very close (my feet are on the set in this picture - Tarzan). This theater group does an amazing job of getting creative with the space. The talent that comes through here is usually top-tier. You will be impressed! Well worth it.

Fun Atmosphere. Every play I have been to has been great.

We have enjoyed season tickets for many years. We have never written a comment about any of your great performances. However after last nights performance of Daddy Long Legs we can no longer resist.
When I first saw the program I had doubts about how only two actors could pull off a two hour play.
When we walked out at the end I was simply awe struck with Scout Smith. Most of the lines and songs of the play were hers alone. She moved around the stage with deliberate exactness and control. She did not miss a single cue. Each line she had down to exactness and right on time. What a memory! Her pronunciation, expressions, movements, emotions, singing and interaction with the favorite David Smith were impeccable. They worked so well together. (He has always been one of our most favorites). Somehow she needs to be nominated for the best actress of the year. We loved her!
Hopefully no one from Broadway discovers this super talented young women. We want to see her here again and again.

I love Hale Center Theater. They always do such an amazing job. My husband and I just saw Sense and Sensibility and we loved it. They did such a wonderful job. And he finally has a deeper appreciation for the story. :) We love this place!!

Lovely, intimate setting to watch a play. The downside... No leg room unless you're in the front row or get a seat on the isle. Stuck in the middle, sorry, you're locked in. I'm 6' tall and have a right knee that get angry, very angry if I can't straighten it from time to time. My lack of comfort got in the way of enjoying the show, which is too bad because it was a great show. Luckily someone in the front row didn't return after intermission and I was able to enjoy the second act of the show with all of the leg room I needed.

It amazes me how talented the actors are! Such a small intimate stage, but they do an amazing job.

For a small theatre, they do a really good job. Most of the plays I've seen have been really enjoyable. I'm a season ticket holder and normally have a really good experience whenever we go. There's the occasional flop, but not too often.

The building seems old and dated, but the play (Tarzan) was great! Great actors and actresses, great vocals, fun experience!
