Neat little theatrical gem in Orem. The theatre in the round creates a strong connection to the production and has very few poor seats. I would think the corners are bad due to low beams and distance from the stage. There are caveats with a small venue such as limited restroom facilities and concessions. Also, it is tight but comfortable seating without a lot of leg room. The production was high quality with excellent performances and good sound. It is surprising what can be accomplished on a smaller scale versus a Broadway or Tuacahn level production.

We love going to the Hale Center Theater. We've bought season tickets several years in a row. Tons of local talent and great shows. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 are the facilities. Super tight seating, old building, etc. Hopefully their plans for a new building will go through at University Place.

A community theater for the whole family. My wife and I have made it a tradition to see at least 1 show a year. Ages 4 and up and attend performances. Anyone can audition or take classes. Costumes can be rented.

This theatre company should be on Broadway. I've seen shows on Broadway. They are no better than what this organization did in our little hike town! (Well, except for Colm Wilkenson!) Tonight, Bonnie Wilson Whitlock played Miss Flannigan better than any actual I have EVER seen! I don't even know her but every nuance was perfect!

I ve been a season ticket holder for years here and have loved the quality and variety of shows produced at Hale. It is amazing what the cast and crew can accomplish on such a small stage and I love the innovation they infuse in their shows. I also appreciate that I can trust that their shows are clean and family friendly.

I'm amazed every time I go here. The first time I went I saw the Man of Lamancha, and it has been my favorite experience of any live production I've ever been to. I also recently saw Newsies and it was very well done, I've seen it twice before at other places and this was my favorite.

We love Hale Center! My family always says they've never seen a bad performance at Hale. The acting and design are always impeccable and delightful. We love that wherever we sit we are close, and feel like we're a part of what is unfolding on the stage.

A small stage, old theater with charm and it was an amazing experience. They had a intermission with snacks and drinks. The actors are talented and kept my attention. Would go again for sure!

I love Hale Theater! I attended as a young child and now returning as an adult, I am amazed at how well done the sets and lighting are, how fantastic and professional the actors and actresses are, including their singing voices. Everytime I leave, I feel like I had a wow experience!

Having worked in a community theater as a youth I have always loved to go and see plays and musicals and Hale Center Theater in Orem does not disappoint. This is a theater in the round style stage, so you are much closer to the action (you walk on the stage to get to your seats, and the front row has their feet on the stage). Some plays are a bit more interactive and you are right there.
It is great being so close so you feel you are right in the middle of the performance and can see the expressions on the actors faces very clearly.
They are in the process of building a new location (that I am sure will have more seating), and the only fear I have with that is it may be too big and that you will miss out on the up close and personal feel of this location.

I watched Hale Center Theater's performance of Annie not too long ago, and I was surprised by how well done the production was. The stage was small, creating an intimate scene, yet the set changes and acting gave the illusion of lots of space and motion. Its a great place to watch a play, and the actors were very well chosen and very skilled.

I love plays & musicals, so it s hard to make me too unhappy with a venue. I m always impressed with what the Orem Hale is able to pull off in such a small amount of space (we won t talk about Ursula s tentacles repeatedly whacking the audience) The costumes are imaginative & fun and the talent is always amazing. But there s a couple things that need improving. The bathroom situation, or lack thereof...it s bad. Then there s the infamous south/west upper corner. Look, if you re getting tix (get some because plays are awesome!) just make sure you DON T get the south/west upper corner. You ll thank me.

Was very disappointed with the venue aesthetics when we showed up as we've been to the other locations, which are much higher end, but we were very happy with the experience as the actors were all very good. We had a great time!
