Small venue, every seat is good. Season tickets recommended.
I rented a costume their. It was really nice (a little pricey) But it was fun!
This theater may be small, but it is jam-packed with talent and great service. The shows are excellent, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. I definitely recommend this theater!
Quaint with up close and personal views of the play. Small theater and limited seats make it enjoyable. The actors are in the center of the room and utilize the small area to the max without feeling like it's cramped or awkward. Highly recommend coming to experience the amazing and talented actors.
I have been to Hale Center many times. They always put on a high quality show. Matilda was simply outstanding.
My wife and I love attending shows here. Always very well done and totally worth the money. Loads of talent!
We adore Hale Center Theater, especially their productions of A Christmas Carol.
Fantastic production! We were really impressed with the quality of all aspects of the production. Can't wait to see another one here!
If you have never been, you MUST go. Every production is awe inspiring. They draw you in, in a way that other theaters can not!!!
Wonderful atmosphere. Terrific actors. Sounds and lighting were spot on.
A long time small local theater with great productions, always done in the round
We took our children to see the premiere of the Velveteen Rabbit. We were all amazed how well the creature/writer did keeping so close to the original story but also having wonderful original music and lyrics. Our children ages 1-7 really enjoyed the whole production and we will definitely be returning for the children plays. We'll done!
This is a cozy, family oriented, in the round style theatre. The Hales built this theatre some time ago in Orem and it has gained quite a lot of success.
Yes. There is a larger venue in Salt Lake City. However, if your not into BIG crowds, this is the place to go for original home grown theatre. The actors, the ambiance and the audience lend to a wonderful experience.
There is not a bad seat in the house. A perfect view from any angle. The floor is sectional, allowing for rotation, and rising elements from below the stage. It is wonderfully surprising what this theatre can provide.
You won't be disappointed!
Million Dollar Quartet and Charlie's Aunt were truly fantastic! I have never been disappointed by their productions.
Last Tuesday I saw Dear Ruth at the HTCO and it was wonderful! The actors were perfect in their roles and I recommend this theater to everyone!
Even though it's a small round theater it is just so intimate . The actors are right in front of the audience.
It's awesome
They always have great staff to answer questions in person or over the phone. The performances are usually filled with great talent and energy. Great for a fun night out!
Went and seen the little mermaid tonight and I wasn't disappointed , everyone did an awesome job. I definitely will be back to see another play. Keep up the great work.
Small theater, but their shows are high quality. Great acting, set design, and storytelling.
I have enjoyed attending shows here for years! Small and cozy theatre in the round. Each show I've attended makes full use of the theatre, drawing audiences into the action. Always great performances. Most recently caught Newsies and loved the performances and the high energy choreography of dances. Everyone seems like they really enjoy what they're doing and that comes through fully.
They always do a wonderful production. I have loved every play that I have seen there
I love the Hale! All of their shows are great quality, lots of fun, always always worth the time and cost. It's a small theater so you get a great view from anywhere you sit. The "theater in the round" setup makes it a really unique, engaging experience.
You're gonna have to post a sign or make an announcement after the performances or whatever you call them to remind people how to drive. At least once a week we drive past it on our way home and have to swerve into the turn lane or slam on our brakes because your patrons don't care that they don't have the right of way exiting that parking lot. Either they almost t-bone us or cut us off and go 15 miles an hour for the entirety of the rest of our drive. If it was once or twice I wouldn't even think twice but since it's almost every single time I'm saying something. I can't begin to express how much more dangerous that one corner of our commute is compared to the rest, and I have to drive to downtown slc for work everyday. I know this isn't the venues fault, but at this point I honestly don't care.
While an older smaller theater, it has a charm to it and the size does not distract from the quality plays you see here. In fact it can make it more personal. Something fun about seeing creativity in making you feel a part of the world on stage.
Saw the Christmas Carol. I cried. It was well done. At first I didn t like the acting of Scrooge, he was too solemn. But it grew on me and I came away happy I saw it.
Our family meets there. We have season tickets and meat together as a family to watch the shows.
Just saw the little mermaid with our little girl. She made sure her Ariel shirt was clean before she went and was super excited to see Ariel in real life! Hale center theatre makes it easy for me to introduce the magic of theatre to my kids. Thank you!
This is such a small beautiful theater. It is very intimate. If you are in the front row you have to be carefully that the actors don't step on you. Vastly superior to the Salt Lake Valley Hale Theater in which I always feel far away even if I am toward the front.
Very fun small venue. I was impressed with their ability to use the space to it's fullest extent.
The Tarzan production was excellent. Great voices.
I love Hale Orem. Excellent talent and we have been going for 10 years.
Great entertainment! Building is getting pretty run down, though.
Fantastic staff and customer service! The productions they've performed are filled with skill and heart. I look forward to every performance I attended!
I've been multiple times for different productions and they are always excellently performed. Having the stage be in the middle of the audience makes for a very intimate experience. Sometimes you can't get a great view of what's going on, but they make sure to rotate major scenes so everyone gets a chance to see the action up close like a front row seat.
Love the smaller intimate setting. Fun and different date night or great family entertainment!
Fun little theater. Saw Newsies. Great production. Don't sit in the front row. Too much kicking and backflips.
I absolutely love their plays. Every single play is professional quality and family friendly. Love the intimate feeling of their small theater, makes you feel like part of the play. We get season tickets every year for past 12 years. Definitely a gem of Orem.
Student rate not honored. Office service not ideal.
We saw Thoroughly Modern Millie and it was spectacular. The cast did a wonderful job and all the scene changes were seamless. We felt like we were a part of the show and enjoyed every minute.
Lots of excellent talent. Haven't been to a bad show yet.
Great audition experience there. Love the website. And the person I spoke to on the phone was really helpful! I recommend this place if you are ever looking into getting into theatre!
If you have not seen Newsies here, you need to do what you can to find tickets. It was so good. All the actors gave 110%. My family and I had a great time.
The props, costuming, actors/actresses were all very good and the pace was well timed! As usual, HCTO, well done!
Intimate performances, fantastic talent and very well run.
Pretty intimate theatre, but the production value is astounding and the performers are amazing!! Highly recommended!
Awesome!
A Must place to Explore and get to Know!
Love this place! We allways have a great time there. The Orem facility needs to be updated but otherwise they do an amazing job.
Hale Center Theater Orem is a small theater in the round. It's a very unique experience, but also very professional and high quality. Some of my favorite productions are of course A Christmas Carol each holiday season (sells out FAST), 110 in the Shade starring Broadway super star Audra MacDonald and Will Swenson and Les Miserables. They do have a standby line that starts when the doors open a half hour before the show starts and I've generally had good luck with that if I missed getting tickets in advance.
For the level of theater this is, the acting is amazing, the shows are great, and I love the style of theater it is.
We've been going to plays here for years and have always loved it. Season tickets are well worth the money.
Incredible and engaging performances. The acting is good, the production quality is great, and the entertainment is fantastic.
I've always loved Hale Center Theater! The Globe Theater style seating brings a unique experience to each audience member and makes the play a little different for the actors too. The cast is always very entertaining and the props are very well done and creative! Overall, it's a great place for all age groups to enjoy a night in the arts!
I only have one complaint, my wife missed million Dollar quartet and she's not going to be able to see it with this amazing cast. There's only a few days left.
Due to a mix up I had to reschedule my tickets. I was really worries because the show was in 2 days and it was a sold out production. The man who helped me was able to help me find tickets to a later show as they had opened more show dates. My kids and I are so excited to see The Little Mermaid!
We had so much fun! Newsies was so great! It was so interactive! The actors were so good. The stages were fun. The staff was easy to work with and so friendly! We had a friend who wanted to join us after we had already bought our tickets and the box office went out of their way to get the third ticket as close to our other two as possible.
I love this place!!! Always a good evening with fabulous talent.
I have been patronizing this lovely lil theater since I was a young girl. Hale Center Theater was the dreamiest place asa child and continues to bring class and charm into my life. I love theater in the round and they always do such an amazing job. The caliber of the actors and staff is absolutely top shelf. I have seen so many plays here and always love to go back. Their recent play, Sense and Sensibility, was UNBELIEVABLE. Y'all, I ain't playing. If you enjoy the theater, Hale Center is the place for you. #blessed
I would give six or seven stars if possible! Every play I've seen here is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone!
Love coming here. So much talent no matter what show we come to see. The price is excellent given the quality performances. The ambiance is cozy and delightful. All our family love the chance to come here. Its a favorite gift idea to buy tickets to an upcoming show.
Every play, whether adult or youth theater, is well put together and professionally performed. We have enjoyed every play we have attended.
They are supposed to open 30 minutes prior to show. They did not open the doors until 10 minutes prior to showtime making everyone stand outside and freeze!! Need to put heaters out here where you make us wait in line!! VERY POOR MANAGEMENT!! OPEN ON TIME!!!
Fantastic experience for live theater. It's a theater in the middle which allows for a creative experience than a traditional stage up front. The cast in the plays are always top notch and I have had a great experience Everytime I've gone
This is precious part of the community. The plays and the history are fantastic.
For a unique theater experience the Hale is a fun place to visit. The venue is much more intimate and you are front and center for the whole performance. I've seen a number of performances here and have never been disappointed.
Newsies was fantastic! My husband and I loved it as well as our 3 boys ranging from 5-12.
We have been season ticket holders for several year. We enjoy the plays. I am constantly surprised by the quality of the performances. But the best part is seeing how they stage things in this very small space.
The Hale Center's facility is smaller than the Scera or the Covey Center for the Arts. However, because you are much closer to the cast, you become more connected to the characters. I highly suggest visiting here at least once.
