Awesome people Broadway caliber performances at local theater.
Watched the little mermaid and just adored it! So cute how the theater is set up.
I love this little theater. My kids and I always have a great experience.
Great theater. Wonderful local theater. This year's plays not as entertaining as other years.
This is a very unique theater and the show was amazing. The talent was excellent.
Good shows but the venue is nowhere near as nice as the West Valley location.
I love the intimacy of the small, in-the-round theater. The productions are always enjoyable and professionally done.
Me and my 4 sons ages 5-11 were so impressed by the youth production if Moana.
These are magnificent experiences, to attend the Hale Center theater and watch the performances of talented actors bring to life the stories that are told on stage. These stories have a spirit and vibrance all there own.
We saw The Importance of Being Earnest. It was a fantastic performance! Their cast was perfect for the play.
We go to see the New Year's Eve play every year. Always worth it.
Was really impressed with the production value and talent! Top notch.
Great places to see plays! Intimate setting so you feel very close to the characters and story. Make sure to book in advanced.
I've been a season ticket holder here since I was in grade school. The building is old and sometimes cramped, but the shows are excellent. The production level is better than any other community theater. They used to do more straight play comedies, now they do more musicals.
Love it so much. Glad they changed the seating with no more seats down the hall . FYI, you won't get your six feet of space between households. We didn't mind.
A bit run down but the acting is awesome and the plays are very well done.
Going to the theater is always an enjoyable and memorable way to spend a date night, and the Hale Center Theater in Orem has never disappointed.
Always a great production! High energy and high quality. Worth every penny.
This theater has a center stage, so all the audience surrounds the stage on every side. You sit super close to the stage, no matter where you are. The actors are really good, add the productions are amazing. Definitely a place to go again and again.
I'm not ordinarily a play-watcher, but I was thoroughly impressed with the cast here, as well as being in a more personal theater setting. It was a clean, well organized environment. Good prices, too!
We were surprised by how much we liked this cozy little theater. We came to see Tarzan and loved the performance. The music, costumes, and choreography were great. The theater is "in the round" and rather small so no matter where you sit you're in for an intimate, meaningful experience. Will definitely be coming back.
Hale Center makes incredible productions in such a small theater. A chance to be up close and personal to a High quality production.
I went to see Newsies here. Talented group of young people. Reasonable ticket prices. Every seat is like a front-row seat.
It is a small venue, but I was blown away by the talent that was there. They have a small concession area, restrooms were clean and the play (little mermaid) was very enjoyable. We have since purchased season tickets.
Wonderful shows. We've seen daddy long legs, newsies, odd couple, and tuck ever lasting. Haven't been let down yet. The theater is small but inviting. The performers have been fantastic. I would recommend catching a HCTO show for a date night...better than watching a movie.
It's too bad this venue isn't larger. The shows are so wonderful they could certainly fill more seats. On the other hand, it gives the plays a more intimate feeling, and that's wonderful too.
Had a great time with my daughter watching The Little Mermaid. Wonderful production from a talented and fun cast.
This is a wonderful theater. It has very talented actors and great shows with affordable ticket prices. I appreciate that and enjoy our time there!
Always a fun visit! It's a very small theater and the directors and always creative in utilizing the space. Family friendly and often has matinees.
Awesome place! I have been a few times. The show is amazing and the service is great as well. Great family activity or date idea!
I love this theatre! The shows are always great and the price is affordable!
Always a pleasure attending a show here. They do an amazing job no matter what they present.
They are amazing actors because sometimes they have to do things differently because of their small stage. Saw Sense and Sensibility. It was hilarious! They did a great job.
Our absolute favorite date night spot! We get season tickets every year and everything we have seen has always been amazing. We love Hale Center Theater Orem!
Very professional productions for such a tiny stage. I have yet to see a show there that I haven't loved.
They do some amazing things with there space allowed to give a show...always great
I love how close you are to the actors at this venue
Amazing atmosphere. It's a unique experience watching a play here because it feels like you're a participant when the seats are this close to the action.
We've had season tickets to the Hale Theater for almost 20 years. I can remember only a couple of occasions when the performance wasn't quite what we liked.
I would recommend this theater to anyone with no reservation. They put on an excellent production every time!
Fantastic performing theater. The tickets can be pricey, but you can find coupons.
They do so much in a small place. We love going to the shows here
It's a small theater but the performance was excellent.
A+, very much recommended! Much smaller than the new massive theater they built in Sandy, but the charm is still at 100%! Saw Sense and Sensibility here and it was funny, sweet, romantic, incredible. Not a ton of amenities but what do you need besides clean restrooms and some snacks for purchase? I do love the gorgeous new theaters in the building in Sandy, but the intimacy of the smaller space here in Orem lends something really special to the shows here. Keep up the great work, guys!
Such a great place for plays. They always amaze me with what they can do (and fit!) on their stage. So many talented people!!
Theater is old and a little dingy but good productions. Always enjoy the Christmas carol.
Small theater which makes the performances close. The staging for the production was very ingenious. The actors were very talented, voices and dancing. So much fun and very inexpensive.
Great shows in a small space. I'm always surprised with what they can do in the area they have.
Great performances. Cozy place. The Odd Couple is still my favorite play I've seen.
We are big fans of Hale Center Theater and live less than 3 miles away from the theater which is a lot of fun. However, we have seen a drop in the quality of performers lately. We just went to Annie today and it was sub par at best. Some actors and actresses are great whereas the majority are average! We will still go when there is a good play, but we are thinking of going to the new theater next time in Sandy. Maybe that's where all the good actors went!
Love this theatre. Seats are tight and uncomfortable, but the shoes are good!!
Cozy theater in-the-round with impeccable talent and innovative, creative takes on whatever show they're presenting for your enjoyment. I've NEVER been disappointed at seeing a show here EVER! If the movies are just too loud and 2D, GO SEE A SHOW AT HALE CENTER THEATER!!!!!
I have visited The Hale Center Theater so many times and not once have a been disappointed. The actors are astounding, the sets are spectacular and I am always amazed at what they can do on such a small stage. This theater is my favorite for it's home-feel, and beautiful atmosphere.
The production team here gets a full five stars for putting together great plays, but the theater is very small. The seats are a little uncomfortable and due to the stage setup, you may have to walk onto the stage in order to use the restroom during a performance.
I have seen the Christmas Carol every year for almost 20 years! It never disappoints. The actor who plays Scrooge is top notch. The singing sets the mood and every voice is amazing. I've seen this play at Sandy and Orem and I prefer this one. I love the theatre in the round for a more intimate setting.
It was simply amazing! We saw Tarzan as a family and we were so impressed!
For such a small theater they do exceptional theater. They always put on a great show that leaves you happy.
This is a small theater, but what they do with it is world class. They have amazing actors from the community and the universities, and they are always so creative with how they use their space. And of course, the costumes are gorgeous! You can't beat the prices or the performances!
Their Christmas program is so much fun to watch. Gonna try to go back this year. Tickets sell out so quick..
Excellent COVID precautions and, as always, incredible performances. I love how cozy and dynamic the shows are!
Love the energy of the cast. It's a smaller theater. My husband & I prefer it because it's more intimate and you feel more connected to the cast.
Love the Hale Center Theater. They always produce such a professional production and do an amazing job with the set and staging with such a small space.
Went to the Scarlet Pimpernel. AMAZING! The stage alone is a beauty to see. A+ Actors all around.
Really enjoyed Newsies cast on Friday night! I was really impressed by the talent and vocal performance these actors had. Lot of emotion and dedication from all the actors. And you can tell they love what they do. Even though it's a small stage, it was a huge success!
The play we attended was the Importance of Being Ernest. The cast was great! Very entertaining!
I really like coming here. The shows are always quality and fun and the cost is minimal.
Such a great community theater. Seating is cozy. Cast always has heart. Audience is pleasant to each other and supportive of the cast. Great place to spend an evening with your spouse or friend.
Our Christmas tradition to see "A Christmas Carol" was a joy. Excellent rendition.
We saw Sense and Sensibility, a novel I struggle to tolerate in the best of times. BUT they did it right! It was fun and hysterical. Despite COVID we felt comfortable and safe. The theater was well organized, and as always, the actors were top notch.
Both plays we have gone to so far have been awesome; a little more cursing that I would like, but overall good. Small intimate theater, great actors and costumes. Their rendition of Jane Eyre was amazing and inspirational.
Took my daughter here to see A Christmas Carol yesterday. It was far and away the best production of A Christmas Carol I ve ever seen. The acting was phenomenal. The singing was on point. The music selection was just perfect. The staging and props and costumes...I just can t say enough!! It really brought the Spirit of Christmas to our hearts. This is the first time we ve been to Hale in Orem and it for sure won t be the last. I have a feeling this will be a new Christmas tradition for our family.
We love going to the Hale in Orem. The staff is great and we are always pleased with the production quality. The venue is small, and it both helps and hinders the experience.
The actors may step on your feet.
The fount row seating is right on the stage. My wife and I have been here many times. Some years we buy season tickets.Fabulous place to bring the whole family. Many people recommended this place. It is always a wonderful experience.
Wonderful show and creative set design. Their rendition of A Christmas Carol was heart warming. A great value for the price of the ticket. The acting was top notch.
One time the show was cancelled and the box office happily scheduled us for another show for no additional cost.
If you don't get tickets together, you can sit by each other if there are empty seats.
It smells like the theatre, in a good way.
Truly amazing show, Thoroughly Modern Millie". This cast was unbelievably stacked with voices and talent. They belong in Eccles in Salt Lake, it was truly that good. Wow!
Last evening I had the opportunity to attend Hale's production of Peter Pan. I was already pleased to attend as I have a past student in the cast and he had hinted as to the fun it would be. I always expect wonderful things from Dave Tinney (the Director) so I was particularly anxious and excited to see what unique and wonderful things would be done. Nothing could have prepared me for the more than fabulous time that I experienced. I have rarely laughed so much or had such an absolutely mesmerizing time. The cast was wonderful - well polished, focused, and excellent in their characters. The steampunk oriented costumes were dynamic and original with their contemporary and Victorian blend. The set was visually delightful and most useful without being overwhelming. The clever use of the box on wheels was particularly effective. All in all...a really wonderful production of what I have usually found in the past to be a somewhat tedious piece of musical theatre. Let me say that David Tinney, without question, is brilliant! He is an absolute genius at creating magic and mayhem, unique thinking, and everything inside and outside of the box when it comes to the world of theatre on Hale's postage stamp stage. I seriously have never laughed so hard as I did during the mermaid scene. David was inspired in his concept and direction of the entire show, but that scene was beyond anything wonderful and creative. The gentleman sitting next to me was laughing so hard he was crying and gasping for breath. If he had passed out I would not have been surprised, and I would have been no use to help him as I was nearly incapacitated with laughter myself. It was a scene that I will never forget. All in all I found the entire production a total theatre experience like we only occasionally have and one that I crave and cherish. I am sure everyone in the audience felt the same way. Children in the audience were laughing, but it was the adults who were most hysterical. What a gift you have given to us fortunate number who will see this charming and exhilarating show. Thank you Linda, Cody, Anne, Cody, David, and the entire staff, cast, and crew who made a night that I will always remember with great fondness and a real belly chuckle. Kate O'Reilly
This an amazing theatrical experience for anyone that loves a good story! The employees were very helpful and kind too. I have been coming here for about 8 years to the A Christmas Carol production. Every year I am impressed by the wonderful actors and performances this theater brings. The only reason it isn't a 5 star is because of the changes they made to the play this year which removed most of my favorite songs and scenes. I am hoping that they are all due to Covid and it will go back to normal next year! Definitely worth it!
