Great theater. Amazing what they can do with such a small stage. A very intimate way to enjoy theater. There is no bad seat in the house.

Fantastic !!!!!Great environment, fun ,perfect family entertainment.
Productions are always so well done. Often have a difficult time getting a good seat. If there's a play you want to see, book early! Stage and actors are so close. It's great!
Small theater atmosphere that provides entertainment that is creative and fun
I saw Les Mis and was BLOWN AWAY at the quality and caliber of the voices and talent. WOW. Go and go often!
My partner and I love attending the plays at the theater. Productions are always well done. Its a great date night.
I've seen multiple shows here. I will keep coming back. I absolutely loved Anything Goes, Christmas Carol, and Peter Pan.
Wonderful and creative. I used to do Audio Visuals and I give them top marks even from this perspective.
It s fun to be close to the stage no matter where you re sitting.
Nice theater-in-the-round experience. Saw A Christmas Carol. Great visibility from any seat. Intimate setting.
I felt very cramped. It's a small venue and seeing people sitting so close to the actors made it difficult to focus on the show.
Incredible what they do in the space that they have! Finest theater experience in the state!
Wonderful place with wonderful actors of all ages. The Christmas carol is amazing.
Saw Jane Eyre. The acting was crisp, the singers sang very well, but the music itself wasn't memorable. Mostly monotonous. Same notes for the whole song.
We love shows here! They're beautiful, with a super talented team! I love how interactive they are.
The space could be called either intimate or cramped. I think that it is great to be close to the actors. We saw a comedy and enjoyed the production. We have been to the theater many times. My recollection is that it has been sold out or nearly sold out every time. This level of support and anticipation add energy to each production.
I have never had a bad experience at this theater. After seeing Million Dollar Quartet tonight (one of many shows we've seen at the Hale) my husband and I agreed that this is hands-down our favorite theater to see shows at in the country. Better than Broadway. Better than its sister theater up in Sandy. It is amazing what they can do with the size of the stage in this theater. The acting is always phenomenal. The thrust stage allows you to be close to the action no matter where you sit. I love the atmosphere at this theater. My hope is that they won't lose any bit of the magic that makes the Hale Center Theater Orem unique when it moves to its new location at University Place. Thanks for one "Hale" of a good time!
Such a nice atmosphere here, friendly staff and a unique experience without breaking the bank, totally recommend
The performance tonight was 5 star. The building however, definitely needs improvement.
Excellent costume choices for all sizes and the staff is absolutely phenomenal! Had the BEST experience of my life in costume fittings, and I purchase and rent a lot of costumes!!
Wonderful performances! I am always entertained and leave with a smile! However, I would avoid the top row against the wall. The seats are wedged against the wall and make a lot of noise anytime anyone moves.
Beautiful, heartwarming shows. Love the Christmas Carol! It's the perfect way to start the holiday season.
This was a really cool place to see theatre. It's small so no matter where you sit, you are close enough to see the facial expressions of the actors. The seats are a little narrow... So it would be less comfortable for a large or heavy person.
we saw the youth performance of wizard of oz, which was great! at 1.5 hours, the length was just perfect. The building is careworn, but the seats were pretty comfy. The building needs serious maintenance though.
Cozy nostalgia, expect to be close to the stage and the actors.
I love this place. I wouldn't recommend sitting in the 1st row. If you do you become part of the show.
Seating is pretty tight, sucks to be you if you're stuck next to a man-spreading armrest hog. But the shows are always so delightful that you quickly forget the stranger practically sitting in your lap.
Amazing plays and costumes. Orem theater is small. New theater in Sandy is amazing
Pretty old building. Tight seating.
But overall a delightful night.
Our first time there but definitely will go back.
Most fun theater I've ever been to! We absolutely love the annual tradition of the Christmas Carol!
So proud to be a season ticket holder for this local gem. My husband and I enjoy attending and we also enjoy taking our kids to certain shows. I have noticed up grades they've made as the years have gone on and look forward to many more. I am looking forward to the 2018 season.
Went to see "The Importance of Being Ernest" - Absolutely Fantastic!! Superb Acting!
Every single performance I've been to is amazing!!! I have five season tickets my family goes to every show. And we go see a Christmas Carol at the end of the year because it's awesome as well . Great opportunity for family fun and bonding.
We went to see Newsies tonight. The performance was phenomenal!!!
For musicals in an old-style theater in the round, this is awesome. However, I don't really like musicals very much, and I wish that they would at least do 2-3 shows a year that aren't musicals. But, sadly they don't cater to my demographic. The costumes are top notch, and the actors are generally really good. It's not as professional as they make it out to be, but if you go in with modest expectation and know that you're always going to get a musical, then you'll love this place. They have acting classes and workshops during the day, too. Parking is bad, but there are tons of businesses around that have open parking lots at night.
We love Hale Center Theater. They always do a wonderful job. With all the covid concerns they worked hard to space out the audience and seat only your group together with large space between other parties. All audience members also had to wear masks. Any play here would be worth it. The stage is small and intimate. There is no such thing as a "bad" seat.
Hale Center Theater Orem is bringing back live theater safely in the COVID age. The restrictions are reasonable: masks, more distance between groups, and procedures for handling intermission. My only complaint is that our view from our seats on the north side partially obscured some action on a lower level of the stage due to a major prop's location. But that was compensated by having nearly front-seat views of the actors for most other parts of Little Women.
So excellent! The whole performance was fantastic and engaging. Even though it was a smaller stage I easily lost myself in the play. I highly recommend for date night or any fun night!
I have been attending Hale Center events since I was young. It has enriched my life. They have the amazing ability to be a community theater when we need a community theater while at the same time bringing Broadway quality talent to Orem. My children have been to the camps and they come away loving the arts and with great experiences. I cannot say enough how much I love the HCTO. Fan for life!
I've been around this place for years and there may be better places out there but nothing beats the heart, love, and intimacy of this place. I highly recommend coming here! :D
We went to see, Anything Goes. Our past experience with the plays have been fantastic; We have seen Oliver, les Miserables, A Christmas Carol. But this play several of the things said were crude, vulgar and suggestive. We actually left during intermission. A lot of people seemed to really enjoy the performance and weren't bothered by the crassness. I was uncomfortable during the first half to the extent that I mentioned it to my wife. She asked if I wanted to leave and I decided I didn't have any desire to see the second half. So we left. I do intend to go back however next time I will definitely be more selective.
We saw the closing night of Little Women and were blown away by the quality. The acting, singing and comedic timing were absolutely spot on. Hale Center Theater Orem is a treasure!
They do more with less than any other place I've been. I've attended two plays now and absolutely loved both.
The shows are wonderful and you leave wearing a smile every time.
Always amazed at how good the performances are. Not always my favorite plays but production is always top notch
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was a really fun play!! The acting and singing were superb!!
Their production of Million Dollar Quartet was amazing! Incredibly talented musicians. So much fun!
Incredible shows here! Seriously professional and Broadway-status talent. I love the black box energy and the props are always amazing. I've also heard really awesome things from actor friends who participate in the shows. This is always a wonderful way to spend an evening!
More people are admitted than in the Sandy HCT. Or social distancing is not taken as seriously. I was comfortable.
The intimacy of this theater was stellar. My 5 and 8-year-old children were on the edge of their seats as they watched the impeccably done "Sound of Music." We will definitely come back and recommend it to other families.
It's an old building and old theater with tight seats, but they do put on an excellent show. I've been going here since I was young, my family had season tickets. I no longer am a season ticket holder but I still regularly see a show once or twice a year, and I have never been disappointed. The sets are great, the casts are great, and the lighting and sound is great. Get the "wide" seats if you need them, cause there is not a lot of space and you're sitting for up to 3 hours.
The venue at Hale Theater Orem is wonderfully deceptive in that it's older construction and apparently small seating availability actually work to the patron's advantage. You feel as if you are on stage with these amazingly talented, Broadway level actors and actresses, and in some cases you actually are part of the stage!! Being able to see every nuance of each actors expression and feeling draws you into the heart of the play being portrayed and causes a level of theatrical intimacy rarely experienced any place else.
Have thoroughly enjoyed almost every play I've been to here. I'm a play snob, and would say Hale Center is probably the best in the valley as far as a quality production goes.
Rented costumes for New Years party. Great selection and helpful staff.
We've had season tickets a few times, and out of the dozens of plays I've seen only a one has disappointed in any way. It's small, but kind of cozy, they do a tremendous job!
We love the Hale Center Theater, particularly the youth shows. We are able to take our 4 year old and 2 year olds and give them the experience as well.
My wife and I have been here for numerous shows and it's always great. I don't even like plays very much but this place always puts on a great show
Amazing what these people can do in a space the size of a living room!
By far one of the most colorful places I have ever seen.
Love the Christmas Carol. Amazing productions on such a small stage.
Hello Dolly was Fantastic! Charming, Fabulous Energy and the Dancing (choreography) and Singing were a Delight!
I love this place! I love how small the theater is.
