Best place in the area to look for bikes, equipment, parts and more. A must see if you're into motorcycles.
Best place in the area to look for bikes, equipment, parts and more. A must see if you're into motorcycles.
Great selection of motorcycles. Most staff are ok to deal with.
I bought my very first day of equipment here. This included a helmet, jacket, and leather gloves. They have a lot of different helmets to try on. This is a huge benefit as I had found that the very popular brands did not fit my head comfortably. So spend the time to find the right one for you.
Bought a new pair of gloves today ..... very happy with their service
Very helpful staff, great products at reasonable prices, people who know what they're talking about, lots of stock on the things motorcyclists need. Can't fault them except how far they are from Toronto's downtown core!
After dealing with what I felt was terrible customer service I was able to result my issues with the Assistant Manager Marianne and have changed my rating from a 1 to a 4.
Can't get anyone to help me with apparel? Greeted at front desk where i asked to look for jackets. Pointed in right direction. Looked around entire showroom without being approached by anyone. Many jackets are located on high hangers on wall behind showroom motorcycles, so customers definitely need assistance to get jackets down to try on. Did a second circle of showroom getting eye contact with more than one salesperson...still noone asked me if they could help (it was pretty obvious i was interested in jackets way up on the walls). Finally i went to front desk where there were 4 people working. One of them kindly paged for someone from apparel to come to the front desk, then all four went back to looking busy. Finally when it was obvious that noone was coming, an employee walking by asked if she could help me...when i explained that I wanted to look at jackets, but can't find someone to help me, she offered to try to find someone? Why can't you or one of the 4 front desk people help? Nevermind.
Guess if you're not coming here to buy a bike, you're not worth their time?
Nice staff (at least the ones I met). Good selection of bikes. Great online shopping experience as well. Lastly enough Ducati's to make you realize how poor you are :)
Great customer service, I was looking for a $10 part that was out of stock at KTM, they went out of their way to find an aftermarket replacement and have it shipped to me.
Tina did an amazing job recommending the right gear and fitting me properly... she has great knowledge of what works best... definitely will go back. Just what I needed as a new rider. Couldn't be happier.
Thank-you again! Rob
So what started as a 1 star review for the reason stated below has turned to a 4 as Tom the store manager got in contact with me after seeing the review and apologized for the issue that was had. This is the service that I'm used to at gp bikes as a return customer and what I've come to expect. I will return to gp bikes in the future and look forward to dealing with Tom.
When you try to buy over 1000 dollars worth of accessories for your bike and you are told your bike is too new to get a proper part number and we would be guessing. Isn't the idea of a parts desk to help me figure out the correct part
Customer service is A + Great selection of all you need, if you ride a motorcycle .I love this place
I purchased a Triumph Motorcycle from GP Bikes last week. It was a very good experience. Jeff Bolt was great to deal with and was able to accommodate my hectic schedule.
I contacted them back in July for the bike that I drive now. In the time it took to safety and have ready to go, they were always keeping me up to date and were pleasant from start to finish!
Amazing to have a bike again and would recommend GP to both new and experienced riders!
Great selection somewhat overpriced. Decent when it has sales.
Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Would prefer the sanitizing of the main front entrance to be wiped down more frequently than every 30 minutes (according to the female door staff) as it is a busy place.
Good selection of bikes and bike related gears and accessories. Service was great, will definitely keep going back.
Great selection of motorcycle jackets, helmets, gloves and boots. Customer service was very good in helping me select a helmet and took their time answering all my questions.
Worth the drive...huge selection of bikes and gear.
Awesome place! Everyone's extremely inviting and knowledgeable will definitely be going back.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Tons of accessories for any bike. Large selection of new and used bikes.
It's got awesome bikes, gear and the people are knowledgeable and friendly. If you like motorcycles you will like this place.
I bought a German classic helmet Medium size over the phone I picked it up two hours later took home try it out. It fitted good but Notice the straps are too loose that s why I called GP Bikes and explained all this to the agent he said they can t do nothing about it even tho he told me that if the helmet straps feel too loose is not goon and no safe it all so asked again if I can exchange it for a smaller size he said No. because I removed the price tag and all that stuff so now I am stuck with a helmet that I can t used because is not comfortable with steals that can t hold the helmet I was really happy with GP Bikes always get my stuff there but after this I do t think so bad customer service
What a great store. Lots of selection. They are following the rules very well regarding Covid-19. Have no fear entering the store. I was in the store 3 minutes when a rep walking by asked if I needed help. They were knowledgeable. I got the boot style and price i was looking for. On the way to the cash I stopped to look at a couple of bikes and again within minutes I had been offered help from another sales rep. Not the typical pushy type of sales people but the kind you love dealing with. Just an overall good experience. This will now be my go to store.
Sales girl was patient and all about finding the right helmet even though not available in store. Looked online to get it for me and found me awesome deal!
The right place to find what ever make of bike you are looking for.... even Harley Davidson
Staff is friendly. Their online website is pretty good. Sometimes prices in store don't match but they will price match their own website and other sites as well. Very happy with the service I have received there.
Great product selection and amazing staff. They always price match if you find it at a lower price
People are okay. They will say to call you back but never would
Huge place with a massive selection of used bikes. Amazing for parts and accessories from top brands. You will find watt you're liking for here.
I've easily spent 40k there. Friendly and helpful. If they screw up they will make it right.
They have always had parts that I needed, but a little more expensive compared to their competitor down the road.
The team was amazing to deal with. I personally dealt with Jeff mainly and he was more then awesome. Seriously for every question I had he went above and beyond to make sure I not only had an answer but also to make sure that if I didn't like that answer he could get me a better one immediately. Also getting the bike shipped to me instead of picking it up as I live 10 hours away and he made that part of the process super easy and nice to deal with. Over I would give them a rating of 125 stars out of 10.
Bought a bike there. Overpayed.when I tried to trade it back 3 month later, I was told the bike was too old. Had nothing but problems with a 1997 honda gl 1500 goldwing
Excellent selection of bikes, friendly and knowledgeable staff. If looking to buy or service motor bike, I highly recommend GP Bikes.
I called in regard to purchasing a helmet for $520 with an international credit card. I was told that they couldn t do that because store policy was that they couldn t accept a purchase over $500 on that card. I suggested that they take $500 off that card and charge the rest of the amount to the Canadian card. This was also not good enough. I was then told a different story that if anyone wanted to purchase anything off their site with any credit card over $500 that they would be declined. So if someone wanted to purchase a $1,000 helmet that they would be denied. Why do they even have items above $500 on their site. This was the worst experience I ve ever had in trying to purchase an item online in Canada. Biggest scam of an online store.
GP Bikes is awesome !! .. My wife and I stopped by today (April 20th) to purchase a new pair of Jeans and armor inserts. The girl who I spoke to on the phone before making the drive to whitby was very helpful and a pleasure to talk to. The gentleman we spoke to about the jeans and armor provided great information and recomendations, and he gave us an extra discount on the armor inserts. All in all, we had a great time at GP Bikes as always and will continue to do business with them! 5 stars!
They've got a lot of motorcycles and brands under one roof! A lot of the premium brands and therefore the prices match. I would recommend a visit. They really have a huge inventory! They need better/more lighting IMO though. It's quite dimly light. I noticed after a few minutes in the store that they had a religious rock station playing and being piped into the store. That's a first at any motorcycle shop I've been to but no big deal. It didn't detract from the experience.
Great staff that are always willing to help. I have always been able to get what I need. I only wish there prices were a bit more competitive.
On a positive note, the GP staff are friendly and always looking to help out. The fall backs for me are very limited women's selections and the past few times my boyfriend and I have come here, items we have hopped to buy ( from accessories to parks to apparel) had to be ordered in and had taken anywhere from 1 week to a month depending on where the shipment is coming from.
I like it here. Lots of stock and variety and ample staff willing to help. Always a good experience.
Great customer service from Carl, he showed me beginners gear that wont break the bank, I mean this guy showed me gloves, helmets, jackets, boots and even jeans. He walked me through some bikes as wel, I sat on a few bikes and we talked a bit about riding. Overall great experience. Definitely will recommend and for sure I will be going back there myself. Theres also a service department who is knowledgeable and trustworthy.
This is a business only concerned with making money. Their marketing tactics and attempt to come off as genuine are admirable, but does not make up for the fact that there is no genuine feeling here. You re just a customer, an opportunity for profit at every turn - finance, apparel, and especially service. The fact that they are making enough is indicated by the approach of the service department in particular. Unlike a car dealership, there's nothing laid out about what needs to be done on the bike. They ask you what you want done and if you re uneducated or new to the bike world its perfect. They turn your bike out of the department quickly without no care or attention for its long term health simply doing the bear minimum to get to the next bike and pay day. No suggestions on what may need to be done - fluid top ups, oil change reminders, kilometre check -THEY DON T CARE they have so much business that they are just laughing and collecting money hand over fist since the demand is higher than the supply for services. The sad part is they are the only registered dealer in my area for my motorcycle, but I think now the trip from Durham to Oakville may be worth the ride to not feel like a cash cow. I would NEVER recommend anyone buy or service a bike here PERIOD
Great people and service. I was looking for a bike, and the gentleman visiting me was very helpful and provided me with lots of advice. They have a wide selection of bike brands both new and used. I did not end up buying a bike from them for other reasons, but I intend to use them in the future.
I did use, however, their parts department, as I needed a few components. I emailed them, they responded quickly. I got the part after 2 days.
Otherwise they also have a wide selection of motorcycle gear, and the staff can be great at helping you choose the gear you need.
Amazing selection, great prices, very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I don't like about this store is how far it is (takes me 40 minutes to drive there) but otherwise it's the perfect store for all your motorcycle needs.
Really great place for all biking supplies. Enjoyed customer care.
The customer service is good, knowledgeable staff. They will take their time and help you out. Will price matching to give you the best price around!
Attentive service, well educated staff and top-quality gear. A little more expensive yet, in the long run, always better value.
Ducati triumph dealers. Good place for helmets and jackets
Store was undergoing renovations and staff was unable to help me find what I was looking for. I suppose it will be better once renovations are done.
businesses like these are the ones making you wish google had less than one star. What a colossal shame that a scum of a shop like GP bikes is the only Triumph dealer close to the GTA. Ducati owners be so lucky that there are a couple other dealers in Toronto. God why did Ride motorcycles have to close down? At GP bikes, profit comes first...customer comes NEVER!
A lot of selection and plenty of staff on the floor to serve you.
Everyone I have dealt with at this dealership has been exceptionally helpful, courteous, and accommodating. I've never bought a vehicle where the staff was so nice and willing to help me with every step. Maybe this is just Canadian hospitality? Or maybe this shop is just a step above the rest... My motorcycle purchase was a bit complicated, since I needed to ship the bike to the US border and pick it up from there, but everyone at GP helped me to make it happen, and I couldn't be happier with the bike. Thanks again Ben and Andrew, and everyone else at GP! 5 stars well deserved.
The service crew were very helpful and professional, Travis at the desk done everything that he could even after the parts that I was waiting for were late, always liked shopping here, now definitely my go to place A1 service
Excellent selection of motorcycles. Dealer for Honda, KTM, Ducati and Triumph. Rode to their place in Whitby to see the Triumph Thruxton. Didn't like the black/grey colour scheme. Looking for British Racing Green. Bought a pair of ICON gloves and a usb port. My buddy had hisoil changed on his Rocket 3. It was a beautiful day to ride
So much to chose from it makes it harder to make a choice but the staff are great at finding the best few that fit your still and experiences and flaws then you pick from the list if that you like them
4 stars for their sales dept so far. We'll see what their service dept is like after my first maintenance appointment.
Had a great experience shopping there. Staff was very helpful. They have a great inventory. I will be back.
Very helpful staff and great deals in the clearance section.
Over priced, some staff members take forever to look up parts. Prices are way to high, the only thing positive in there is the friendly staff at the front doors. And the bikes that are used and for sale are priced to high. Once they become big they lost there friendly vibe. The old place in Ajax was small, but the attitude you received was pleasant, made you feel welcomed, and they served you alot better.
Good selection of products and equipment. Fare prices.
Coming from Toronto, this is hands down my favorite motorcycle store. Huge selection of gear that suits all your needs!
Make sure you grab their magazine on the way in. It's got coupons that you can use!
GP BIKES never disappoints. Jeff and Tom are great at what they do! Keep it up!
Just bought a 2016 Yamaha r6 and had a fantastic experience. I inquired about a bike and received a call first thing the following day. I came in, had a look and was met with a very transparent and fair negotiation. My bike was also prepared and ready within one full business day. I will be a long time customer and I definitely recommend GP bike for a bike purchase.
They have an awesome variety of products and they were also kind enough to match the price. There is a specific person in the store (not sure who it is)
who always asks if you're taken care of and/or have any questions. If they don't have a specific product - they check it and order it for you.
Great place to buy a bike, gear, parts or accessories!
That being said I would never let them touch my bike to work on it. The mechanics seem to either be lazy, not care or ignorant of proper motorcycle maintenance procedures.
1. I had installed a slip-on exhaust myself and had asked for a remap to be programmed on my bike as it was running rather lean. They said "it was built in to the factory ECU and it would just require a reset and it would reprogram itself." That is further from the truth than can be! Spoke to Triumph North America and told me what map was "required to be downloaded" and provided the map number code. Also, I personally know people that have the same bike and have remapped it like Triumph had recommended me to do so. I ended up doing it myself with TuneECU app and an OBD2 reader from Amazon for a fraction of the cost. Not to mention they quoted me $100 for the remap just to "reset the ECU" when I know people have had the complere and proper remap done there for $50. Quite odd if you ask me!
2. I asked one of thier "top mechanics" about changing my coolant type and did not recommend to flush the system of the old coolant before chaning the coolant type. (Triumph factory green coooant to Engine Ice) after some homework I quickly learned how that could really mess up my bikes coolong system and cause corrosion, build up or scaling in the engine block.
When I asked the mechanic about a full coolant flush he told me that he would stick a garden hose and fill it with tap water. Again would harm my engine and cooling system and only distilled water should be used and anyone who with any knowledge of motorcycle repair knows that. Not sure how the mechanic didn't.
Needless to say I will never let them touch my bike ever, but I'll still by my coolant form them and do it myself. Have never done it before but not about to pay good money just to have some half@ss technician ruin my bike. At this point I'm learning to do it myself and plan to do so this weekend. Should be fun and save me few hundred dollars, not to mention have the work done properly!
One of the largest inventory of accessories . Professional knowledgeable staff. Shopping with them from last 6...7 years. I wish they can open a branch near missisuaga
Great selection in gear, parts, and acessories. Prices are generally ok but can often save a bit going elsewhere or online.
Went for a visit yesterday looking for a helmet. It was my first visit. I had only purchased from them at the bike show. All the employees that I had contact with were very friendly and accommodating which is a big factor in deciding to return. A young fellow David helped me select the right helmet. The colour I wanted wasn't in stock, but I paid for the helmet and it will be sent to my door no charge! He was knowledgeable and very helpful without putting any pressure or pushing one product over another. I had a coupon given to me that had recently expired. I was very happy the manager honored it because with the covid situation they were closed which delayed their opening and me getting in to their store. The final price of the helmet was competitive or better with what you could get on line from other retailers in Canada or the USA, so it felt a lot better getting personal service, an easy return policy and knowing my money eventually trickles down to Ontarians who are working hard on the showroom floor to make a living and take care of their families. All in all it was a great visit. As a side point, I think the poster in the men's bathroom shouldn't be beside the toilet, but rather in a more dignified place outside...but that's just my personal feelings. Thx David and GP!
Usually have a positive experience here. Some areas that could be improved, but overall one of the better stores in the GTA for motorcycle products.
Have not tried the service dept yet.
I love gp bikes they have a great selection of motorcycles and gear, BUT I walked through gp for 45 minutes and the only person that greated me was the cashier at the entrance. I was going in to look and possibly buy a Ducati and stood beside it twice for about 5 minutes the first time and 15 minutes the second time and finally 20 minutes later a sales person talked to me. This was not a great experience for me.
If you are looking for the cheapest prices you'll probably find them elsewhere, but nobody can match the selection and helpful advice from GP Bikes. Support the brick and mortar shops and get your gear where you can try it on first!
Experience was pleasant and the transaction for the Austrian work horse went down quick. Should be seeing lots of trail use this year.
Great experience. Super friendly, honest and caring staff. I picked up a beautiful Ducati Scrambler last week. Very happy with my purchase. Despite all the COVID restrictions and being understaffed, they still managed to efficiently push through the process so that I can pick up my bike on time.
Go see Jeremy Buschert for good deals and great conversations.
Staff was very helpful and helped me with a new lid!
Must go to place if you are looking for a motorcycle. Hugh collection of motorcycles. Staff friendly, courteous and helpful.
