We were visiting for a meeting and really wanted to try service. Didn t realize it was closed the day the day we went but the Owners saw us peeking in and allowed us to come and grab a beer anyway! Very kind and genuine people. Can t wait to visit again!

Every time I visit is a fun experience and a different story. I'm not a fan of crowds, but the staff makes sure that you're served well and happy about your experience.
Overall, a decent spot for a few craft beverages. The staff is awesome - super friendly, helpful, and nice. The beer is decent and worth a side trip outside of the historic district as long as you can manage the one or two blocks that feel a little sketchy at night. It s not the best local beer in town, but it s still decent and not the worst. The oat milk stout was my favorite, though I had that at a local restaurant and not at the brewery. It wasn t on tap at the brewery as of January 2nd.
I m not usually one to complain, but for a company calling itself Service Brewing , I left feeling like Service was not up to par.
My wife and I sat at the far side of the bar near the ping pong table, and watched as the male bartender, whose name I didn t get, looked at us but continued on with his conversation with other guests, rather then approach us and ask what we would like to drink. A good 5-10 minutes passed before one of the female waitresses finally came to us and asked us if we had been helped.
If that wasn t enough, as someone who worked for 2 years in a brewery owned and operated by other Veterans, when I asked the female waitress what the backstory of Service was, I got a quick reply to the extent of the owner retired from the service and now this is his new gig ...and then she was off to leave us until we were ready to cash out. Not once did any of the other bartenders come back to check on us or ask if we wanted any more beers.
Maybe we came at a bad time? I m hoping you can do better than this
Service Brewing is one of my favorite establishments in Savannah. Why? They have a purposeful and altruistic mission. They have excellent beer. Patrick will remember your name, even with a mask on! They are accommodating to all. They have great events and music. And dogs! During our pandemic, I felt loved and safe because that is how we will all work through this time together, and apart.
In town for work and dropped by. The selection was impressive and the place has a unique vibe. We met the owner who is super friendly as is all of the staff. We enjoyed ourselves so much we came back the next night for more. Old Guard was my favorite.
Great beer, and they have darts, ping pong, Scrabble, and lots of seating. There is often a food truck outside. Sometimes there is live music, but it's not too loud-- very chill place to hang out.
Beer was really good and they re dog friendly. There is some outdoor seating which you ll have to use if you have a baby, as they aren t allowed to let any humans under 21 inside. Staff was attentive and very friendly
I would definitely give zero stars if I could. I drove 30 minutes and then walked 20 to be told at the door I couldn't have my kids in there. What a stupid rule...
If you come to Savannah and don't come to Service Brewing, you have missed one of the best breweries in the South, if not the country! The choices of beer range not only include Lagers to Pilsners to IPAs to Stouts but also include new varieties of seasonals and small batch brews . This is a place we come to every single week and enjoy great music, exceptional beer and super friendly staff! Do not miss Service Brewing!
Great bar with a wonderful selection of beers. The staff is friendly and helpful. Comfiest bar stools and cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a bar. My kind of place!
Great beer great atmosphere. Out of all the brewery's we have been to this one is definitely one of my favorites. They are organized and it's really clean. My husband and I will be back for sure!
As a fellow Veteran, I try to fully support other Veterans in their business. To those that are not Veterans and just looking for a great place to chill and have a few beers, this establishment has great choices! I highly suggest the Battlewagon IPA!
Good beer, nice atmosphere, super dog friendly, & ping pong. The owner came around and talked to us. We also happened to be there while a bluegrass band was playing, which was a pleasant surprise. We'll be back.
I always enjoy going to new breweries, but I have to admit Service seems like it's still figuring out what kind of brewery it's going to be. It's hours are very strange (I think it was open from 2pm - 5pm on the Saturday we were there) and while the beer was ok, I didn't find myself wanting more when I left. That said, there seemed to be a pretty good local support and I always recommend trying out local breweries, so if you're in town, definitely swing by and see if your tastes are different than mine.
Great craft brewery that's a very short walk away from the main downtown area. They're inside of a large warehouse building, have plenty of seating and a nice bar. There's a ping pong table and darts for additional entertainment. I've been here a few times now and the service is always great, and the beers are top notch. They make really good IPAs, but all their beers are generally quite good. Definitely worth going off the beaten path to visit!
One of the best in Savannah. The taster host/server, Lea, was absolutely awesome! She explained everything in detail and was super nice. The outside seating and pet-friendly atmosphere just topped it off. Great experience!!
So as a non drinker I'm thrilled to be able to enjoy their super tasty root beer. A slight licorice to the nose, mild flavor with a hint of ginger finish on the tongue; not too sweet and a maple honey brown color. Cheers!
Wow. This place was fantastic. Never knew about it until this trip to Savannah. Off the regular path but worth the walk. Great beer options. Atmosphere is very laid back.
Service ABOVE & BEYOND! My father and I showed up yesterday to have some brews and support a fellow Veteran Owned Business. When we arrived an employee notified us that they were going to be closed for a Private Event. Obviously disappointed the young Coastie asked, "Hey, you guys Vets?" When we excitedly replied Yes, he said, "Ahhh. We can sneak you guys in for a beer or two."
We obviously understood they had a private event and would have not been upset in the least if we couldn't have gotten in. But the fact that they let us in, showed us around and let us enjoy our beer was amazing! Seriously, service above and beyond what's expected!!!
Beer: 4 - We are not beer snobs or connoisseurs but the beers we had were all great. Ambience: 4 - Could use a few more tables indoors, but overall good, clean aesthetic. Service: 5 - Tour was great and laid-back. We had no clue that they closed at 5pm and stayed until 6:30 before we realized it...very kind! Value: 5 - ~$13 for 3 craft beers was fair, especially considering the limited brewery selection in Savannah.
Overall: 4.3 - If you are visiting Savannah and want a relaxing afternoon I'd recommend spending it at Service.
Brand New brewery in walking distance from all the hotels in the historic district. The brewery is extremely nice and you can definitely tell there is a passion for beer here.
Went and sampled all of their beers. They were all outstanding even the oktoberfest.
Military oriented brewing company, part of whose proceeds go to military organizations that support veterans. The oyster stout was the absolute best! For all you hop lovers, go for the Compass Rose or the Battlewagon DIPA. If you get the chance to visit you'll love all the games like darts, ping pong, cornhole, board games, watching college girls/guys stroll by. Finally, the place is dog friendly with a leash. It is next to a somewhat busy street. Be sure to stop by the merch booth as well!
Favorite brewery, fantastic craft beer and super friendly staff! The super cool atmosphere keeps with the theme and is spacious, clean and comfortable. They have darts and a custom made pingpong table. It is a perfect place for both visitors and locals to hang out with friends or just go grab a beers when you are downtown in Savannah. The tours are awesome (check out the Tap Handle Project) and it is a treat to try the R&D beers. If you get a chance, try the Oyster Stout! Service Brewing does a lot to give back to many charitable organizations that address the needs of service members and veterans and they are also involved in many community events. Service Brewing beer is something that is always requested I bring home when I go to visit family.
The best brewery in Savannah! No contest. Awesome staff, great atmosphere, and an eclectic variety of brews. So glad to have them in our community. They do wonderful things for veterans and we're always proud to support them.
Fantastic place. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and the wait staff were attentive and helpful. No food but they provided info on local places that deliver. I highly recommend coming here before or after visiting downtown central.
I've visited Service Brewing twice while vacationing in Savannah, and it's one of my favorite places in town! The beer is unique and very authentic to their brand. The staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable. It's a great space to listen to live music, play ping pong, and of course enjoy some great local craft beer. Whether you live in Savannah or just visiting, you should check this place out! Oh, and if you can't make it to the brewery, you can try the beer at restaurants and bars all over town!
