Overpriced, I really don't know what happened to this place? We used to love bringing our kids and having a great family time, but lately everything that used to be free now need to pay for.

Grew up going here as a kid, unfortunately they have become all about money and not about family.
The prices for the attractions are way over priced for what they offer! The food as become terrible... the prices on the pumpkins, Forget about it!
I m writing this review since it is the start of the new season and want to help family get more bang for their buck! Our family has found a great place with great prices about a hour away! Well worth the drive and the prices are great!!! You can do so much with so little! Woodys orchard in Plano IL hope this helps!
Great place for kids! Our fall tradition we go every year.
Prices are high. Flat price per person no matter age unless 3 and under are free. Alot of extra add ons for more money. Shopping is pricey. Prepare to spend alot of money and deal with crowds.
It was nice but the animals looked un happy and over worked they had animals from Africa just leave them where there suppose to be
They have the best looking asparagus I've ever seen in my life!
I ve had the worst birthday party there for my 5 year old. I have gone to many kids parties and organized a couple myself and this one was by far the bottom. If you are considering this place for your party- DON T!!!!!! Go anywhere else.
1) When I got there, I kept on being re-directed from place to place to put my cake into the fridge. I even got a response that they don t put people s cakes in the fridges.
2) My guests had no idea where to go, no signs and some employees just simply were telling them- they don t know.
3) I was handed a thousands of tickets to give to each parent for their kid because every activity required a ticket.
4) I received no help at all. After reading their contract, it didn t occur to me because everywhere else you get help so you can talk to your guests and be with your kid for 5 min, not there. I had to hand out tickets, explain how the tickets work, serve pizzas and drinks, clean up, go get the cake, light up so I can share at least this 2 minutes with my child, just to switch to quickly cut and serve the cake, and finally to clean up. If my husband wouldn t be there- my kid, the birthday boy- would have to stay with me the entire time and not participate in anything.
5) My guests parents were calling me that they are not allowed past the gate because they have no tickets, only kids had tickets. If I were to purchase additional tickets for adults- I would have to drop like $700-$800 for this 2 hour party. I was boiling at that point.
6) TOTAL RIP-OFF- no food for adults, no drinks either, lousy pizza and smallest juice box I ve ever seen for kids, activities are 1-time only and last like 4 minutes each (can t believe it costs $4/person to jump on the pillow for 4 minutes)
A lot of fun for families. A little pricey, but there's a lot to do.
So clean and beautiful with the animals in the pen. It was impossible to tear my children away from animal feeding. You need to be ready to shell out a tidy sum on a carrot, it costs $ 2 per cup, and it ends very quickly. And indeed there are a lot of activities for children! We really like it here !!!
Very helpful and knowledgeable. Huge selection of all sorts. I've been a customer for 20 years.
Lots of things to do. It does get crowded around Halloween and is pricy for all the extra activities.
This is always a must go place for us in the fall. Fun activities and the donuts. The donuts. Mmm.
Historic Pumpkin farm in NW Suburbs of Barrington and Hoffman estates. You have a great variety of plants for sale in Summet. Pick your fresh corn and vegetables here. A nice experience for kids to see a real farm.
Overpriced in every aspect but fun for the kids.
Parking is terrible if you visiting over the weekend.
Don't think we will visit again.
We love this place. My husband and I take our 2 girls there every year. It's a little pricey but worth the cost for a full day of fun and great food.
Goebbert's has become a fall tradition for us, but when we go its usually way too packed and makes it hard to enjoy fully. Last time we went, it took 20 minutes to park, and almost 30 minutes to EXIT the parking lot.
No way this place is one billion times better than sonny acres it s not cheap but it s worth it
Parking is a disaster and there are not enough cashiers anywhere. Not enough separate food and drink areas.
Goebbert's Farm is a must to go with family and friends. I come here every year with family and we really enjoy it. Wonderful selection of food, pumpkins, animals, and there's a lot to choose from.
Pricey but worth it . Cute place to make memories and yearly pictures of your baby's growing by taking pictures on the HUGE rocking chair ! Perfect for this fall season can't get enough of this place oh and the have a giraffe!!!!!
Great experience picking vegetables. You want to go back to the grocery store after this.
Good place but social distance dont think so people every where and i mean every where dont go if u dont like to be all up on u real stupid to have people all over each other
They've changed a lot since I was a kid. They have delicious hot apple cider and a variety of animals. I was glad to see they still had the pigs. The corn maze is great for kids they have camel rides and pony rides.
The items for sale are good quality and there is a great play area for kids.
The pumpkin eating dinosaur was brilliant. The exotic animals cooped up in small cages for 6 weeks was distressing to witness, the animals were either scared and huddled in a small portion of their cage or pacing frantically. For what purpose, a few minutes of entertainment for money? Don t you have other ways of drawing people in? What are you teaching children by doing this? If you have the capital to sell stuffed versions of the robot eating Dino (which is very cool) maybe consider exotic robot animals as well. A robotic petting zoo would be worth paying a steep entry fee for. If you are the owner thanks for reading and considering a humane shift in your petting zoo.
Way too crowded! Lots to do for the kiddos but be prepared to wait and pay.
Very rude staff. I took my three year old here today, along with my sister and my father. I overheard the pony ride attendant yell at some Asian children that were there today to "stop running, don't you speak any English?" while near the horses. These children were maybe 2 years old, at the most. I understand the no running part, so as to not spook the horses, but was the other part necessary? So uncalled for. I was instantly uncomfortable and wondered what kind of place allows people who speak like that to children to work there.
It's also extremely overpriced. They have 15 activities set up that are very child oriented, and every person must pay $10 to enter this area. Even if you're just an extra parent or grandparent, aunt, uncle, whatever, that wants to stand on the sidelines to watch your child play. When asked about the pricing at the booth, to be sure I understood the pricing correctly, the employee compared the farm to Brookfield Zoo, where we have to pay for all attractions. Please! Ridiculous comparison. And then he read us the sign about pricing like we were idiots. I will absolutely never go here again.
One of the best time I had with my kids today, I was there for 4 hrs my kids don t even want to come back home, I recommend this farm for family s take your kids have good day. Already told my friends and this place.
The most fun you can have with a Llama without breaking the law.
Last year, this place was reasonably priced. This year they have started to give you less for your money. They no longer do the 4 piece containers for $2.50. They have reduced it to 3 for $2.50. The gallon sized plants were also insanely high. I usually buy almost everything for my yard here, but I will be going somewhere else this year.
Giraffe looks depressed as ever...
Plus no refunds even if it s down pouring like crazy. Not a whole lot to do but I ll give it to them that some of the animals are cool, over expensive in some areas but I guess thats Cook/Lake county.
This place has great activities for kids, but the whole experience is completely overshadowed by the fact that they have exotic animals crammed into tiny cages....kangeroos in a VERY small enclosure and worse. The whole "zoo" aspect of Goebbert's is completely unnecessary and is entirely outside of the agritourism realm. It's sad to see these beautiful animals treated this way. We certainly won't be back and I hope others will consider this before bringing their kids here.
They sell veggies and fruits in season and their sweet corn is to die for. They are open now until after Halloween.
Amazing selection of plants. Staff is super helpful.
Met the owner: such a nice person.
Same day delivery.
Just an awesome experience.
Never been here spent a fantastic October day. Had tons of fun.
Apple cider donuts were great and found some fun fall and Halloween yard decorations
So much fun!!! May be seasonal. Had delicious foods. Loads of pumpkins, and other Fall produce. Halloween decorations were available in a wide variety. Many fun activities for children of all ages. Free admission and handicapped parking. Check out their website for more info and loads of pictures. We've enjoyed going there for years.
Truly the best local outdoor family fun opportunity. Plus the farm fresh market is awesome.
Very nice place to visit with kids. Lots of entertainment.
Good for kids. Don't forget your Apple cider on the way out.
Nice farm, but not quite what I've grown accustomed to in Wisconsin. They did a decent job trying to promote social distancing.
I went today and I did not see many people social distancing and I saw very big crowds close together. The animals while most inside seemed fine, I was concerned for the camels in the camel rides and the ponies in the pony ride, as this was the first time I have come I was so sad to see the camels and ponies walking for what seemed like hours with people and children on their backs. I also saw this camel pacing and swaying back and forth in a small secluded area with only two or three other animals. This was fun and enjoyable but the animals seemed to not have as much fun and joy as everyone riding them.
Great place and they have the best produce. I always get corn and cherry from here
Very nice place for kids, went twice. Portable toilets were well maintained.
This place was a lot of fun. So many different things for the kids to do. Lots of good food as well
This place is great for october. They have a lot of amazing animals
Totally worth the drive and the price. Come on Camel rides !!!
awsome sweets the corn maze was so fun!!
and places to take cute pics everywhere
10 out of 10 would recommend the only thing I would advise would be to bring cash with you specially if on a date or with friends or family .
I find this place very over priced... Some of the animals looked sick this year, felt bad for them. Probably my last trip there.
Awesome place to go I personally feel that the giraffe enclosure was to small and didn't have any of his food for him cuz they sell you $4 cups of carrots but I'm sure they feed him but overall I loved the place so did my son !
Great fall family day outing. Petting zoo, pumpkin patch, pumpkin eating dinosaur, pig races and more! Just a little pricey.
Unfortunately I will not be able to support Goebbert's until they stop exploiting animals at their events. The death of the baby bear this year was the final straw for me.
Cute farm! But it is way too expensive for a pumpkin patch....
Very well organized, reasonably priced, cool animals. Love the pumpkin eating dragon!
The parking lot and getting into goeberts is a joke. The staff directing traffic yells at you to go a certain way when there is no room and cars are in the way. They have one tiny lane for cars to get in and out of the parking lot and you are so close to side swiping other cars. Overrated unless u have alot of money and alot of toddlers. Go to sonny acres instead.
Liked the wide variety of animals in the animal land. Place is a little pricey depending on what you do. Tons of different pumpkins.
Bring some money because you have to pay for everything. .anyways its fun for kids
Way overpriced. Nothing for the adults that justifies these ticket prices. Sure it s about bringing the kids and making great memories that s why we came. My suggestion for families looking for fall fun is to check out the suburban village festivals or Lambs Farm.
A lot of stuff for the kids to do, but at a very high price. 14 dollars per person is just way too high in my opinion. Very nice selection of pumpkins and other fall decorations.
Have been coming here fire 20 years. Now bringing my grandson. Love it.
At a time where social distancing and/or mask wearing is at a premium this farm made a family of 4 feel safe and manage to have a good time too. Animals seem well taken care of and are certainly not short of food with all the carrots and kibble being offered to them. Prices seem reasonable and there are plenty of activities for kids. Bouncy walk way/bubble seemed to be a big hit. Seeing a giraffe was an unexpected pleasure and being able to feed them and see them up close was a particular favourite of our soon to be 3 year old.
Worth a visit to support a local business or worth a little travel time for a fun day out buying pumpkins, feeding goats and petting a giraffe.
Such a fun place! My family and I had a great time! So much to do and see. A must in the fall!
Had a blast here! This was the closest I had ever gotten to a giraffe!
Terrible food after returning multiple items, i figured out that everything taste off! Overpriced food, Staff doesn't know whats going on.
An excellent family experience. I've been going here since before I can remember. Definitely the place to go for fall festivities.
This is an awesome place to come with family and kids! So much fun for everyone. Many different animals, slides, great decorations, delicious food. Can t wait to go this year for their fall season!
Always a pleasure to shop here for Flowers. High quality every time, and the selection is above all. Highly recommended!
Alot of thing to have fun, very nice! Great for kids
Not maintaining CDC recommended limited crowds. We went this weekend and saw literally thousands of people, many without masks, many in close proximity. We selected a time slot ticket and our expectation was that they would curtails the crowds so that you would have a more relaxed experience. None of that. This place is probably at 80% capacity compared to normal which was already extremely over capacity. The animal tents are overcrowded and the animals themselves looks extremely depressed. Not worth the risk going and am regretting going myself.
They were out of things, and asked HELP AND THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT.
