Very sad place, yes kids love to see the animals but as a grown adult it s terrible to see how these animals are living. Why is there a giraffe at a pumpkin farm, and why is it keep in such a small enclosure? Everything is about money we were under the impression you pay $6 to be able to jump on the pillow as long as you wanted but no that is only weekdays. On weekends it s $6 for only four minutes, very ridiculous! Will not be going back to this place.
Way too expensive for the experience. We waited in lines for absolutely everything. If you enjoy paying $75 for two adults and two kids and like waiting in long lines this is the place for you. Donuts are good. There are way better pumpkin farms around for cheaper.
Great place for fall decorations - but the Hampshire location is better.
Very nice setup. Obviously more fun for kids than the adults. Regardless 2nd time around still enjoyable
Place is great. Tons of activities for the family. Can get expensive quick based on all of the activities/food.
Family First time here .very pricey but my we great fun time.enjoyed everything a bout it
Little respect for social distancing or simple health guidelines. Many hundreds of people packed in tight lines. Beyond that, you pay $17 to get "in" but you still have to pay for everything and wait in a line for everything. It is honestly more like an Ikea than a farm.
It's a beautiful farm with some farm animals as well. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Good option for pumpkin patch that is within 45 mins drive from Chicago.
Very good and friendly atmosphere a must stop if you have younger kids!
This pumpkin patch has every activity that you would want for the kids. Wagon ride, petting zoo, dinosaurs, apple cider donuts, pies, caramel corn etc. Problem is that you pay for absolutely everything. It's beautiful, but I would go on an off day as it gets extremely crowded.
Great place for family with kids or couples! Staff was very friendly and the treats were yummy. $12 admission during weekdays and $14 during weekends. Tickets include hay ride, corn maze, petting zoo (extra charge for feed) and children s play area. The petting zoo is huge and has lots of different animals including a giraffe! They also have a little market and bakery/ cafe with food and drinks. There are some activities that cost extra like the pony and camel rides. It s an over all great time!
Amazing selection of pumpkins. Roasted corn is a must
Lots of fun for kids. Be wary of the corn maze after wet weather, it gets pretty muddy. The corn kernel play pit is great but expect dirty kids, as if they were rolling around in dust.
Yes, the farm itself great and the store (donuts, cider, apples, cute yard signs) are also top notch. Unfortunately they have turned into a total money grab though. They have fenced off what looks like over 75% of the place for the play area and letting zoo.... But then that's $17 pp to get in. Those note willing to spend that chunk of change are crammed into the tiny space relegated to pumpkin sales and food sales while all that wide open space is clearly underutilized.
We went with our 9 month old. Obviously she is only going to toddle around for 10 minutes or so. Babies under 2 are free, but parents pay full price. $34 for us to walk her through a few minutes? No way. Not even remotely fair pricing. It's for the kids, so I don't think it's right to charge parents the same rate. Most places either don't charge parents or charge a much smaller fee. We will go someplace else next year
I took my 3yr old niece and 17 month old daughter and we had so much fun! We got to feed a giraffe, they rode a pony and a camel. It was amazing.
Great place for fall activities for adults and kids alike.
Goebberts is great for families with kids. They have a great farm store with everything from bread and jam to apples and pumpkins, seasonal flowers etc. They also have a huge petting zoo with some really unique things. They have a corn maze and a big corn box to play in, hay rides stuff to climb on, etc. My 2 year old loves it and there is a lot to do once you are in the paid area. It's easy to make a full day of it.
I find it odd that most of the 1 star reviews, including my own, were removed by Google. Beware that this business is paying google to modify its rating and mistreats the animals on their farm to gather attraction. Many have died from mistreatment and incorrect climate in order to generate greater profit. Search online about this farm and think again on bringing your family here due to the values they support.
Great place for families, fresh veggies at reasonable prices, a loot of activities for entire family!
Nice place to bring the family. They have animals that you can feed (a Giraffe inclusive) and many attractions to the kids.
Nice place but way over priced. It s $15 to get in, but then you also pay separately for every individual ride/attraction. Head up to all seasons (Woodstock) and it s one price with everything included (rides, animals, jumping pad, parks, haunted house ect). The only thing you pay extra for is apple picking.
This is my absolute favorite place I have been going there since my son was little he is now 16 I am a nanny and for 16 years any kids I have I always take them to goebbert's Pumpkin Farm to play outside to Adventure do so many things and they always love it!
Fun for the children but the weekend a lot of people
Super place for family bonding as well as for shopping pumpkins.
This was one of the best pumpkin farms that I have been too. Lots of activities for little ones!
We love it here, I find it s reasonable for all the amenities ( they added drive through lights this year at their other location not here) and do a fantastic Arbor lil Day tree giveaway with a good selection of plants, produce and products to purchase. You can feed giraffes among other animal which is always exciting for the kids that said the animals space or lack of are always a issue with us. ( If your a person whom doesn t care to see a petting zoo that s not free rage it s not for you. - please also note: every time I ve been the animals appear in good heath and spirits ) this place has been around forever. You can easily spend a 1/2 day here in the fall and leave happy. Plus, they have had a fantastic magician Bill Cook who has preform the last few years and whom we highly recommend as well. The farm storefront is open year round, petting zoo, etc starts in the fall. No actual carnival rides outside of pony and camel rides which are additional This location does not have u-pick. FYI : Great free spot to grab pics at Halloween time you can access some fun cut outs if your little one is still to small and your just looking to get a cute pumpkin pic. Parking is free and abundant, weekdays the better as it gets pretty crowded on weekends.
Great time for everyone here, the animals were all lively and eager for food from anyone willing to give it, all the fall related activities were fun, the food was delicious. I brought home two dozen apple cider donuts and it should have been four dozen.
I have been going here for years, great healthy plants and knowledgeable staff.
Nice place. It gets way to over crowded tho. It's over priced in my opinion. There are much better pumpkin patches to go to.
Unhappy animals. Not cared for properly. Do not support this place.
I give this one star for the one guy riding a tractor saying "its close you all people gotta leave!"...I was there today and it was exactly 6pm I saw this man telling ppl verry rude they had to leave. Poor choice of words. How about " Thank you for stopping at Gobberts, the farm is now close, please find the closets ext thank you" OR " Gobberts is now close, thank you all for coming"...and I can keep going with ideas, but not "You all gotta leve"
What you guys charge for admissions and in the area that you are in, staff needs to be nicer.
Very nice place that will keep the kids well occupied.
Years ago it was great visiting Goebbert's, which gave at least the small illusion of being on a farm, standing in a field of pumpkins and looking at rows of corn.
Going back recently, the experience was basically just carnival cardboard and sad, chained-up animals in every direction.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day at Goebberts Pumpkin Farm. So many things to see and do. Loved the pig race and feeding the animals. My granddaughter loved playing on the slides and driving the big pink tractor. My husband and I took a picture in the big chair to commemorate our day out. Lunch was great and we took home some donuts to enjoy the next day. Go early and beat the crowd. It's well worth the admission fee. We are bound to return next year. Keep up the good work. A great family place!
Evey Year I take the kids and friends. We love to be there.
We went there in October and absolutely loved it. Our 4 and 1 year old both were very much entertained, we spent way more time there than we were originally planned.
Kids get to aee animals, play in corn box (by far the most popular attraction), climb on numerous exhibits, ride the tractor, eat, and it goes on and on. Really fun time!
We love coming here every year with our niece and nephew. The kids like all of the animals and the playground and my wife likes feeding the giraffe. Once our daughter is old enough we will bring her here too. I agree the prices are too high, but if you have 3 or 4 hours to spend there it's worth it.
Great place to bring the family! Bring lots of money though.
A favorite of mine during fall. The perfect family fun place.
Very pricey for a farmers market. Even more expensive than whole foods (prior to the AMZ takeover). But they certainly have good stuff if you can afford it.
So I love Goebberts - we shop there frequently since we work down the street. The sign says they are open for fall fest so we took our 3 year old & 1 year old to buy a pumpkin on a Saturday morning. Turns out they will allow droves of guests if you buy the $17.99 pass to enter; however, if you want to visit the pumpkin patch it is only available to 1 guest at at time. Sorry, Goebberts but I was disappointed that as a loyal customer I couldn't' spend 10 minutes at your shop to buy a pumpkin for my 3 year old after driving from North Barrington. Easy to blame Covid; however, if I bought a pass to your fall fest then I could have visited the store. Loyalty Long term Vision > short term decisions.
Although it was a fun experience, you can tell the animals are treated poorly. You can see the scabs on the goat's knee, you can tell the animals are bombarded with people and they look anxious. If they didn't have the animal attractions I would give it 5 stars.
Great place for kids, huge land and lots of activities. Great donuts and decent food. Lots of cool animals. The pumpkin eating dinasaur is pretty cool. Disappointed that I had to pay $18 for a 3 minute camel ride for myself and my 2 children who are both under 5. In my opinion, parents should not have to pay because the rule was... parents have to go on the camel with children under age 5.
Too expensive for the fall activities for kids. At 16.99 a person it would have cost 50.00 to basically see the animals. Plus it would have cost extra for the pony ride and the pillow jump.
Wonderful place to take the family! Check out the animals...eat some of the best kettle corn you will ever have!
This was a lot of fun. My 3 year old loved the pumpkin smashing dinosaur, corn box, wagon ride, and play areas. The exotic animals were the only thing I found out of place. Pigs, cows, chickens, goats, sheep would have been sufficient. Why is there giraffe, kangaroo, etc. in small enclosures at a pumpkin patch? Goebberts, I'm sure people would come visit your pumpkin patch without these additions.
Great variety of plants and beautiful locally painted pots. I must stop if in the area
Great selection. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pricey!!
Lots to do but the lines aren't managed well on busy days and it's gotten a little pricey. Still cute and lots of Fall fun though!
Fun place & a great way to start the holiday season.
My family and I had a wonderful time here. Wonderful experience.
Way too expensive. Charges you for absolutely every activity. Not worth it.
Too crowded. It is waste to spend money to see a couple goats. It is way expensive.
We spent hours here and then picked out various pumpkins that are easy to access.
Great place to go with your friends and family until one of your security guards yells at a child and us for simply wanting to take a picture before we leave at closing time. Trust me I get it when it's closing time it's closing time. But there is no need to yell at a child who is excited to take a picture where she has ever since she was a baby. You don't talk to people let alone a child like that. We will not be back if that's how your place thinks it should treat a child.
Fun place for family gathering. Especially for your kids.
We had a good time. I had six kids from 5 to to 12, two had autism. They really had a great time. We will be back THIS Year.
You don't need to have poor wild animals caged up. Leave the poor animals out of it
Pretty cool place. Decent size, and good amount of activities and animals for the kids
