I was surprised by the lack of amenities away from fall time. The autumn is the best time for all of the attractions. animals in puny stalls and their own filth was just wrong. When asked, I was told the animals were here only for short periods of time, and the owners clean the stalls daily. whatever that may mean, can they not do something for these suffering creatures.?. My 3 yr old daughter and I saw a dead piglet being stepped on by other pigs and staff, could they not see it?? The only good section for children is in the paid areas ($14 per person) where there are many attractions geared towards families, other fees for certain attractions too, including camel and donkey rides or jumping for a short time on an inflated pillow. That of course is only available on weekends during the rest of the year but daily in the fall. Food is okay, but not always cooked appropriately and very expensive.
the one aspect I enjoy is the part open year round, the farmer's market and Amish area.
I generously gave a three because of the produce being so fresh and that they have a working fudge shop (seasonally anyway). My family has given them 0-1 stars because of their treatment of animals and expensive fares. I do return annually for pictures of my children in the oversized rocking chair, and good quality pumpkins. But we won't be doing the other attractions anymore.
