Very friendly staff and food was good. Needs new carpet and overall would be much better with some cosmetic updates. Appears dingy in some rooms. The party I went to looked so beautiful but that was really the work and the vision of the person who booked the party for her daughter's bridal shower.

I stayed for two nights. My room was clean and nice when I arrived. I took advantage of the fitness center while there and they have some nice (for a hotel) equipment there and enough of it that I never had a problem getting what I wanted. A few odd things. My room smelled like cheap cologne the whole time I was there. I'm not sure if this is something they do to every room or if the guy who stayed there before me was crazy with the stuff, but it was weird. I came back to my room briefly in the evening to drop some things off, and by 5:30pm nobody had come to service the room (make bed etc) and when I came back from dinner it was still not made up. Maybe they tried to come in during the 10 minutes I was in the room, I'm not sure. Overall it's not a bad place and I'm sure I'll stay there again.

How disgusting of an experience. To think that I spent $350 for ONE night in this hotel, during a pandemic and the hotel did not even have RUNNING WATER to wash my hands. If I get Covid, I am suing the Garden City hotel. They have absolutely no protocols in place for sanitation - no purell or hand sanitizers in the room, and NO WORKING WATER. How in Gods good earth is one supposed to wash hands without water? You'd think a hotel like this could at least even have the common decency or courtesy to have a valet and a bellhop. RUN, don't walk away, from this hotel. I'm disgusted. A breeding ground for Coronavirus. Save your money and don't bother with the disgusting staff here.

The Hotel looks nice, But it is actually very poor:

- the rooms need a refurb
- Internet is TERRIBLE SLOW you can not wirk properly eg with a VPN connection
- bar is a rip off: 20 bucks for tow budweiser....

Nice hotel.

Nice hotel.
I stayed at this hotel for three weeks and I thought it was a very nice place. I mostly live in hotels across the country for work. The service was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows weren't my favorite part but they were comfortable and always fresh and clean. If you have to stay in Garden City or anywhere nearby, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful area of New York. Guest services is fantastic. The building is a bit older and with that comes light under the doorway, thin walls with a bit of noise. The room was clean the service was great.

The worst customer service and management. In all of my experiences with travel, I have never encountered such a poor and inconsiderate staff, which is clearly a reflection of the management and ownership team.

When I ordered a nice bottle of wine, I was told twice it was on it's way. 45 minutes later I asked the bartender for the bottle I ordered and he said, "Good luck getting that, we are done serving". I mentioned I ordered it almost an hour prior and I'd like to see the manager. Then I was told, "Go fetch him yourself and not to hold my breath with discussing this with him"

When I spoke to the manager, he was even worse! He was hostile, unapologetic and absolutely pathetic. Not that I needed them to comp anything or get down on their knees to apologize, but I expected a bit more then a rude and inauthentic apology.

Further more, we ordered food on our last night. The "nachos", which was just chips and salsa... That is ok, but what is not ok is that it took 3 calls to room service and an hour to get the order.

While I did have positive interactions with a select few staff members, it is a shame that they will ultimately be graded (and tipped) based on how poor their team and management is. That said, they did a wonderful job with the Wedding we attended.

I was quite unimpressed with the ecperience. The next day I had called the hotel. Unfortunately. No one available. Left my # WITH FOOD or cuisine director. Did not receive return call. The food Was sub standard. How it maintains.4 diamond status is of suspect. I held wedding rehearsals there several years ago. Food was

Our room was nice with plenty of space. In-room robes, slippers, hair dryer, refrigerator, coffee, tea, and iron. Very comfortable beds, plenty of pillows. Staff are extremely kind, courteous, and highly visible. King Bar featured music on Saturday night and very tasty food. Vegan-friendly menu.
Coffee, tea, and fruit-infused water available in the lobby Sunday morning. Plenty of comfortable lobby seating available

Amazing place! Loved it! The food was impeccable and presented artistically well. Most staff was professional, and friendly. I would suggest that waitstaff be trained to listen/hear their customers. On one hand I had a gentleman that assisted the waiter at our table that was on top of everything! I went out of my way to tip him. On the other hand the actual waiter of my table, heard nothing... one example, he continued to bring the wrong drink(3xs) before I gave up. My drink wasn t all that hard to remember, seltzer and lime. I kept getting anything but... I finally gave up and went and got my own. The bar tenders were wonderful, friendly and professional.

Garden City Hotel is one of the nicest hotel on the Island. Very luxury and the staff is always helpful. The staff greet you by the door always ask if you need any assistance. Their conference rooms are huge so lots of resource if you are hosting any kind of meeting. Food is a bit pricey but taste great. Very large area. I have seen a lot of flight attendants visit the hotel.

Beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. Have stayed here 3 times already when I m here for business and a great experience every time!!
Has a small tiny gym and a sea salted pool. The steakhouse at the lobby was pretty good as well. Definitely a good choice if you want to stay in garden city.

Refuses to return phone calls. Insults any dissatisfied customer, will not make amends, and they say you are lying if you have a problem. The assistant Grace Koerner is as slimy as they come, issuing lies to back up her falsehoods even if the customer has proof to the contrary. It s a shame because it s a nice hotel. They need a staff with a conscience. Will be taking it up with corporate. Suffice it to say, don t waste your money. I live in Garden City and there are places without the headache. I am a professional singer and travel all over Nyc and have stayed at many hotels on every continent, and will never stay here again, and cannot in good conscience say anything less than the service and follow up is despicable. These people want your money, and if you require service or kindness of any kind, be prepared to be deeply disappointed. Will be contacting the corporate office and wasting even more time, I am sure.

Recently invited a group of friends to meet at the hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday. We spent a few hours at the patio bar and ordered about 35 drinks according to the check. Unfortunately not one cocktail was properly mixed. I tried a few different ones thinking maybe I wasn't ordering the right thing, but soon realized that this 4 Star hotel had amateur bartenders behind the bar. My wife ordered a Negroni after a delay she was notified that they were out of Compari and couldn't make the drink. Really out of Compari? Okay whatever. When everything else fails, our go to drink is Gin and tonic. Its hard to get wrong even if you don't mix the proper portions of gin and tonic. So I order one for me and one for my wife. Take two sips and realize that the tonic is flat. I was really disappointed. I figured if there was one place on Long Island where you could get good cocktails it would be the the GC Hotel. I want this place to be good, but unfortunately its like most places on LI - mediocre. If you are going to charge NYC prices for cocktails i recommend putting someone behind the bar that knows what they are doing. The funny thing is when you call the hotel and are placed on hold the message says something about experiencing crafted cocktails. Maybe the new celebrity chef they hired (David Burke) will make a difference, but I won't hold my breath.

My husband is a motor coach driver and he just called me and told me that in all the 13 + yrs. he has been driving, he has never stayed at a better hotel then the Garden City Hotel. He said that the staff, especially Mr. Jonnie Boon was very accommodating to him when he went looking for water to clean the coach's bathroom. Mr. Boon, assistant manager, offered to get him some himself, but one of the workers showed him a faucet outside that did the trick. He said the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was good. His hat goes off to everyone there. Keep up the good work.

First class hotel...renovated a few years back and critics approve..I haven't stayed. Sunday brunch (about $75) is terrific. I love the coffee here..I go for breakfast often.

I live in Suffolk on the North Shore so it is way out of the way, but is close to the Parkway and has plenty of parking so that's a plus. The Polo lounge is very nice, has a great staff and I've had a great experience every visit I make.

Attended the hotel for a brunch party. Everything was wonderful from arrival to departure. Staff was friendly and helpful. The brunch buffet was excellent and had enough variety for all palettes. Would recommend to any one looking for a nice venue.

I had a retirement party here and it was a great experience. The food, staff and commendation were excellent. My guess and family had a wonderful time. I will reccomend Garden City Hotel to anyone who's looking for a wonderful place for affairs.
