French breakfast/brunch place. The menu only has 16 items, which shows they specialize in their best meals. The almond frangipane is out of this world. The salmon eggs are delicious. Expect long wait during the weekend. There is small outdoor seating (5 tables).

UNACCEPTABLE. The doorman wrote us on the waiting list with 40min expected waiting time. After an hour not being called, we asked and he told us we were next ones on the list. We waited 30 more minutes, and groups of people were passing ahead without a credible justification. After 2 hours, and people who were in the same lane exiting the restaurant, we asked for the 4th time, and the doorman has been very ironic and disrespectful. No empathy, after 2 hours lost our first day in NY we had to leave to another place.

Service is bad even when they are not busy. They put wrong order for me, and the waitress never came back to check to see if everything was good. She took the order, someone else served the food, and a different person brought the check in the end. Food is average plus but not worth a visit with such service experience.

My friend discovered this place after couple of searches, for breakfast. Being my first visit to New York, she wanted the day to be perfect. We loved the ambiance as it is a cute little cozy place. While we were having a great time conversing, we realized that the toast had a fungus. We had almost completed our meal ,but the fact that such a renowned and highly reviewed restaurant was a dismay.

After we let the personnel know, we were given cinnamon rolls and they apologized. After a while, the manager came to us and made our meal for free.

All of this is super appreciated but again we can never forget how the bad toast made us feel about the meal that we had already consumed :(

Helmed by famed chef Jody Williams. Great wine, cozy nooks all around and classic French dishes like Poireaux En Vinaigrette
(leeks in mustard vinaigrette), Coq Au Vin
(chicken stewed in red wine & mushrooms) & Moules A La Rouille
(steamed mussels with garlic toasts)

This restaurant is a gem! It's a wonderful, charming French bistro that has great food. It's small and a little cramped but has attentive service and French cuisine that's off the chain!!

Place is super small and tight but the outside seating is more peaceful and relaxed. A table for 2 had no wait at around 10 a.m on a Sunday morning. But after we left, we saw a big crowd outside. Not too sure about the hype but this place was decent not amazing.

Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice- ($7)- 3/5 This was "very" fresh squeezed, it had a lot of pulp, and no ice at all but sadly it was not cold enough, more like room temperature.

Small and usually really busy. You'll definitely feel cramped. But I eat here EVERY time I'm in NYC if that tells you anything. Go with a bunch of people so you can try everything. The menu isn't huge, and it's all really good. Great wine selection and some cool cocktails to boot.

We had a bday dinner after the lockdown and it was a nice experience. Food and service was good. The interior was very european which i liked but overall it was not worth the hype imo. I don't have any complaints but it was definitely not a unique experience for a French restaurant.

In all honesty, not a great place. I was expecting higher quality from a French restaurant. Simple put it. Overpriced sliced French bread with burnt cheese. The Latte tastes like regular coffee with milk.

Superb food in a crowded restaurant. Who'd think that potatoes and cheese could be the hit item, but it was!

The wait is a bit of a bear, Google Maps predicted it wouldn't be bad, but instead we had something like an hour's wait when we showed up. They write your name in chalk on the door frame, so make sure to walk back in periodically to check, less you get skipped!

We were there for dinner, I heard it's even better for brunch. The food was amazing but the portions are very small. We tried the leak, beats, potatoes, carpaccio, mini burger and flat bread and all were really good.

Came here for breakfast because they are open early, 7 am. Atmosphere is great in a nice neighborhood. Cozy and you can smell the baked goods in the oven. The waffle sandwich was tasty with bacon, egg, and cheese. There was a lot of butter but I m sure that s why it tasted so good. We had the granola with all the fixings... berries, honey, bee pollen, yogurt. Yogurt is tart and a good compliment to the fruit and honey.

The long wait for Saturday brunch a few weeks ago was worth it (we were a party of 4; parties of 2 did not wait as long, and there are some benches on the sidewalk). Loved the octopus. Lots of egg dishes (this was an NYC brunch, of course). Small plates, for reasonable prices. Excellent service. We'll be back for a regular dinner soon... lots of good restaurants in that neighborhood, though.

I visit this lovely spot quite often! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I go there many times. The meals are great, the workers are welcoming and the rates are decent. I enjoy eating in this restaurant over a decent supper.

Excellent coffee, drinks, service and atmosphere. Breakfast was dismal in comparison to other options in the area. I would recommend for the drinks at atmosphere, not the food. I ordered the mushroom and toast.

When we informed the waitress, she didn't offer to replace the dish, but instead informed us that we could order the other in addition. We kept the salad, which although was not what we ordered was tasty. We also ordered the mussels in curry with fries which was equally tasty. However, both dishes were small and not quite satisfying for a dinner. Given the prices, we would have expected slightly larger portions.

A West Village / French favorite! Everything here is tiny and cute - the plates and cups, the tables and stools, the space itself, the food/portions, the outdoor patio. The food is delicious but portions are pretty small for the price, so expect to order a couple things or a bunch of dishes to share at the table. Great spot for breakfast/brunch, especially on weekday mornings when it's less crowded. Go when it's nice weather and sit on the back patio/porch! Highly recommend the waffle or avocado toast or the omelette special (if they have it) for breakfast, along with any of their coffee drinks. For dinner, coq au vin is incredible, artichoke is a good shareable dish for a group, and a selection of cheeses is a must - especially paired with any of their solid list of wines.

3.5 stars. Ok to good brunch. Really cute and cozy ambience. Some French stuff on the menu so if you want something a bit different from your typical American brunch - this is a place to check out.

Such a disappointment. Really rude service - the waiter dropped a beer on me and did not even apologize - pricey, busy and arrogant place. There are so many other nice restaurants, just don't go there.

A beautiful little spot. Servers were attentive & friendly. The tables are a bit small. The menu was tiny & cute. The waffle sandwich is amazing. The tea is served nicely & if you ask for honey. It comes in a nice container with a honey comb. Getting one star less because the untensils weren't the cleanest. There's a lovely outdoor area.

Horrible experience with the staff, so we didn t even stay to get seated. They were extremely rude and unwelcoming. On top of the fact that it was a rainy Tuesday afternoon and the place was completely empty... Maybe they don t need the business.

Hands down the best chocolate mousse in town. Great brunch selections like the salmon with capers and eggs, it the waffle sandwich w eggs gruyere and bacon. Diner dishes are all very delicious too, the def order the special burger if they are serving it.dishes are on the small side, but that's good, that means human portions.

This used to be one of my favorite brunch spot. Not anymore. It seems that their service staff has changed completely and the service is terrible now.

They don t even let you choose the tip amount. Although I don t mind paying 25% considering how hard it is for restaurants to survive in this pandemic, under no circumstances should the waiter choose it for the customer without stating it. Also they wouldn t even let me use the bathroom. I was rudely asked by the staff at the bar to leave after I entered it for a loo break.

Although food is still good, I will not go back again.

Yummy

How was I born and raised in Buffalo and never been to this establishmen. The food was really good! I love the atmosphere. A neighborhood staple that I will frequent often.Love the food and service the employees and manager/owner give. Highly recommend to try out this cafe if you're visiting the area. Also, the prices are surprisingly cheap lol
