Good type place for signing/"clinching the deal" contracts!
I love this French bistro type of restaurant Good wine, great food and cute interior!
Cozy and refined brunch/lunch/dinner spot in the heart of West Village, although might feel too packed at times. The no reservations accepted policy adds to the experience and the atmosphere. Anything from charcuterie or fromages section will leave you satisfied, the terrine de campagne being my personal favorite. Try the steak tartare as well.
Adore Buvette. Perfect, carefully crafted french cuisine. Best for brunch. Sit at the bar and watch them make your brunch! Very expensive, but to be expected for the neighborhood.
Beautiful building, decor and ambiance, food is delicious. Very, very friendly wait staff and bartender.
Wonderfully tasty. Great little cafe with some outdoor seating in back. Pricey, but worth it.
This is a very charming, quintessential west village brunch spot. I totally lost track of time there, and felt transported to somewhere else. Everything was delicious, and the portions are appropriately-sized (although some might say small). The restaurant is small, but the squeeze and wait is well worth it.
Excellent coffee and a very cool vibe in Koreatown. Definitely a hidden gem. My wife and I stayed in a nearby hotel and had to start our day with Document Coffee every morning while in LA. I recommend the Document Cold Brew.
Always a favorite and must-see when in the city. The Paris Manhattan is tried and true, the lobster pot pie is wonderfully rich and the cheese & charcuterie selection is delectable. This quintessential West Village spot is a narrow location with a small garden for the summer and front windows that fog over in the winter the perfect cozy spot for any time of year.
I loved this place! I came in around 10am and gladly there were no line up so we sat down and ordered scone and belgian waffle. Was such a nice brunch in nice atmosphere but it sure was costly compared to the amount of food given. The meal on the photo was $35 fyi.
I love this restaurant so much! The perfect little spot in the west village. Amazing food. Everything on the menu is heavenly. Sometimes you need to wait to get a table but totally worth it
I really love this place and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone! Every menu is so good but I would especially suggest to try foie gras. Except that this place doesnt take reservations, super packed, everything is small dish, and cramped, it s my go-to!!!!! Oh and the beef tartare was very nice too- as the photo shows. I am not familiar with French but everything with bread was so good haha
A wonderful Saturday brunch. Get there early ... or plan to wait an hour or more. Gorgeous scrambled eggs. And other stuff :-).
Great food, really charming location, and the service is fantastic. I love it here, and will come back each visit.
Imagine Tapas, but more French. (Yes that means delicious cheese) I'm always amazed at how, with food this good, I have to slow down, savor each flavor, and get full off so little.
Very cute, cozy place, decent eggs, great coffee and orange juice. It's good for a date any time of the day. For all the attention and recognition it's received I didn't think it was anything special or above and beyond, just a nice decent breakfast spot.
Loved the cozy French atmosphere and the food was good too!
This is place is stellar. The staff is incredible friendly, but not overly intrusive. The bar is perfect for casual dining and the long, communal table is great for socializing with neighboring diners. The courses are small which is a great thing because they are affordable and you'll want a lot of them.
The European vibe is very chic and classy. I usually am not a big sucker for ambiance, but this place feels special and quaint. I should warn you, it is fairly expensive for the portion size and simplicity of the dishes, but the quality is high. I came here for brunch with two others and didn't have too much of a wait. The decor was charming and the staff was accommodating and friendly. However, our table was super tiny - likely more appropriate for just one individual or two really tiny individuals - but for three people, but we managed and only spilled one glass of water!
Every morsel exquisite, wonderful staff, terrific vibe
Great drinks and small plates in intimate bistro settings. Great place for late night snack and meet.
Here is a simple review. Amazing food, fantastic ambiance! If you like the French way of life with smaller plates and great wine you need to go
A favorite place for french food. I should have took a photo of the food but it was too good to interrupt. Next time I'll be back with my coworkers. This place has many great reviews for a reason.
this place is amazing. the atmosphere throws you to Paris 50tees. the food is powerful and the drinks are perfectly made and served. I would certainly come back and recommend to my friends.
Every time I come to New York I come to Buvette. And if I don t I kick myself. The atmosphere is perfect. The food is always amazing. The drinks go down maybe too easily.
This food was like heaven I highly recommend the waffle sandwich
Everything was good except that the space was so small. I went early in the morning, but it was also full of food. The atmosphere was similar to the Paris branch, but the New York branch was warmer. I ate only scones, tartines, and coffee, but the orange jam that came with the scones was so delicious, the jam on the tartin (like raspberry jam) and the cream of butter or cream It was so delicious If you're going to several places, try some bakeries. You will be satisfied ~~
What an amazing tarte tatin! And good coffee also. The rest of the dishes looks amazing also. You must try!
Authentic French food, all tapas size. If you're eating on a shoestring, have the meat tapas (3) to share among 2.
One of our fav brunch spots. No reservations but worth the wait. Waffles are the best in the city and we love the toast with stinky cheese, meat and eggs. Not sure of the kind of cheese, but tastes great. Check out the photos for all of these and check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic.
Small place with a real chief. The food was creative and delicious. Enjoyed the golden beet salad and the fish du jour was perfectly prepared. (Not a bone in sight!)
After my second visit, I can confidently say that Buvette is the best brunch restaurant in Greenwich village if not all of Manhattan. The atmosphere is friendly and hip if a like cramped but the main draw is the food. You can't go wrong with anything here but i strongly recommend the waffle sandwich which is just divine. The only negative of Buvette is the sometimes extremely long wait times but you can avoid that if you come before 11AM.
Nice spot for breakfast or brunch. Probably also a nice place during other hours of the day. The breakfast menu has a lot of delicious egg dishes. French theme.
The food is delicious, but the portions are way too small. We ordered the croq madam ($17-$19) but both went to the supermarket afterwards...
have been here twice over the years. eggs have been too salty. Bloody Mary is ok. i like the decor and the concept, not my go to for execution and cost. in the neighborhood, my preference is tartine with BYOB! (if you like trendy , this may work for you)
The best food shop of our city is located here. Nahi absjj Hs han ahsjbsb shzbbsijwb i do not know how much aap amilka ki unb .. your food is awesome. I enjoy your foodBest food shop of our city is a great place to visit. I do not know what I'm saying but I have a lot of things about it. I am enjoying your food.
Best. Food. Ever.
Love this place for brunch.
The decor is nice, but space feels cramped and just too close to the other patrons and the waiting staff.
Pretentious, doesn't even have decaf coffee, and the waiter informed me in a rather snobbish manner this is the case. Overpriced, the scrambled eggs aren't anything to write home about, but priced up.
Love the happy vibe I get when I go here! such friendly staff!
Hard but not impossible to get into. Food is delicious I assume the wine is good too but I don't drink.
We did not eat at the restaurant so this rating is not for the food.
We couldn't reach the place on the phone and showed up at noon to have lunch with a friend. Host told us that he can not seat two of us until all 3 are here. We asked a question about a dish on the menu and he was annoyed and brushed us off. At that moment a person showed up and joined her friend seated at table. That was an awkward moment! He insisted that its a different case and we cannot be seated.
Then he said - "You are blocking the door! " without suggestion where we should wait. So rude!
We walked out and settled in a cozy restaurant down the block.
Very charming, delicious food (the walnut pesto tartinette was amazing) and great service. I'll certainly go back.
Wonderful place for breakfast. Delicious Americano coffee. Will remember the Waffle Bacon Cheese sandwich for days to come.
Consistently a wonderful experience. A lovely french spot with a knowledgeable staff and ever changing menu. One of our favorite spots in NYC
Here for brunch on a Thursday and has to wait outside - waffles were dope and the croque madam was mouth watering. Worth the wait.
My husband and I went for a very late breakfast. We arrived about 1:30. Wait was about 30 min. FOOD WAS FABULOUS!! Pancakes heavenly!! We will definitely go back :)
Amazing scrambled eggs. A bit cool on the room temperature and reasonable service.
I've been early in the morning to be sure to get and smell the flavour of my childhood... has a chef whose work with michelin chefs.. real good pastry chef.. i was a bit disappointed... the atmosphere itself was really good .. beautiful venue... but moss of taste a homemade croissant and better coffee
Everything was absolutely scrumptious. Beef tartare, the apple tart,
We previously visited The Buvette in Paris and were fans so thought while in NYC it was a no brainer.
We queued for a short period before being seated. We were shocked how much the food costed in NYC vs Paris for the very same things.
In the end 2 waffle sandwiches. 2 lattes and 2 orange juices costed 70usd in tip. That is just too expensive. Rip off even if the food is very good.
Very cute and delicious. Kind of pricey but that's as advertised. French vibez
So much style! Fantastic for breakfast. You ll feel like you re in Paris
Always such a delight to come for breakfast here. Even with the new outdoor seating it makes you feel as if you are in Europe!
Beautiful quaint little place! Friendly service and nice food. The location is great too in a nice picturesque street. Glad I stopped here after getting all my photos at the friends building hehe
Way to small for price.
Nice atmosphere though not worth the hype.
Bad service, the waiting list is handled at will and not as one is written down
A classic and such good food. Lacking the full stars because of how small the tables are. Prepare to overhear everything your neighbors at the next table say and to probably bump shoulders with them while dining.
Great classic French food with modern twist. Great vibe. No reservations so get there early or be very patient.
Best salad I've ever had, butter Lettuce with green beans, radish and roasted chicken with mustard vinaigrette.
Small space, tables and portions but service and food are both great. Make sure you get there early during busy hours. Not recommended for larger groups.
My wife and I stumbled across this gem last year when we were visiting NY and the brilliant lady remembered it this time around. A quick Lyft ride dropped us off at the convenient location, and after a short wait we were reunited with breakfast bliss.
french food, quality stuff. Visited on Fri I believe. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. Prices are appropriate.
Great place for breakfast any day of the week. The tables are a little small but they make it work with a busy vibe and swift service.
The moules was over cooked and flavorless, and to add further insult, I was given food poisoning by them. Two weeks later I am still suffering from the virus I caught here. You should have better food hygiene systems in place.
Best brunch of my life! Get the hot chocolate. It s amazing!
Our experience in this intimate setting with polite staff who attended to our needs was very positive. Though the menu options are simple, there is nothing simplistic about the food which was among the best we've had for breakfast in the city. I will return to Buvette over and over again.
Let me translate for you: When the server estimates a "25-35 minute wait" what he really means is it will be a "one hour and 25 minute wait." Just be warned.
I loved the atmosphere and the food ... Pff delicious!
The food was bad and the place they gave us was for 2 people and we were 4 it was really cramped
The French toast is supposed to be sweet but it was really salty
The egg tasted like oil and was really bad
But the hot chocolate was normal
