Delicious brunch! My husband had the burger and rated it one of his top 3. I had e chilaquiles and they were excellent too. We brought the dogs and sat on the patio - staff was great and even had treats for the pups. We'll definitely be back!

The food is consistently fresh and delightful, workers hands out good customer service. I loved how neat it is and atmosphere. I highly recommend this spot.
The portions here are small but the food is great! Cozy restaurant with attentive service, excellent food and desserts, and good wine. Try the tartines. All of them!
Charming little brunch/drinks place. Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable with wine selections. Food was delicious and the eggs were perfectly fluffy and soft. The space is a little tight (not very accessible for wheelchairs/walkers).
My favorite dish here is an anchovy dish and my girlfriends had their scones. I have to admit, i hate scones, but Buvette has scones i'll eat. Not dry and full of bakery delight. I wish we came back here to try more options.
Came here with 2 friends for dinner on a Monday night at 8pm. Was told the wait would be 45 minutes but the host kept passing us up after that. This French dbag host could hardly do his friggin job right since all he was doing was flirting with the women waiting for a table or nowhere to be found. Had to remind him repeatedly that my group of 3 was still waiting since all he did was write names on a big chalkboard with no apparent order.
Finally seated and ordered a few plates. The food was average to good - definitely not great or memorable so don't pressure yourself to try a lot. It's a true neighborhood restaurant and you'd come here for the ambience.
We ordered a few tartines and the only one I could remember was the one with anchovies and capers because it was not good. It was over salted and the giant capers on top appeared to be only good for garnishing because it was too big and the flavor overbearing.
We also got the coq au vin and the chilled lamb. We liked the lamb a lot but the coq au vin was just all right. It was very homemade tasting - as in good but not something you'd expect at a place or price like this.
Finally we ordered the tart tatin for dessert and it was DISGUSTING. I actually spat it out because it tasted like canned apples. Even Steph, who loves all dessert could barely stomach it. It was like a dessert from the 1960s. Way too sweet and had no texture or hint that it came from the natural world.
All in all, wouldn't come here unless I lived here.
French-style cuisine, all the dishes we ordered were tasty, the dishes are small, you should pay attention it can finish expensive! The place is nice, the atmosphere pleasant and young.
Delicious French food in small portions to share. Tartare, croque monsieur and lobster pie, all great. But do not leave without having the chocolate mousse
The well edited menu here was incredibly good, both drinks and food. I will definitely be returning, especially for the croque forestier. The outdoor patio is small but adorable.
Discovered this place one night as we walked by looking for a bar to hang out in. Newly opened, the bar area is a very nice place to hang out at. Staff and service were great. We enjoyed the small bites, chicken and beer. Side note: Spicy chicken is really spicy but it's also a good kind if spicy that makes you want more. I can't handle spice well but really loved the flavor.
Potatoes au gratin with merguez lamb sausage are phenomenal. On the other hand, lamb stew was average, and tables are extremely small. But overall it's a great place that i want to come back to.
Loved everything about this place from the design, food and staff. I had major food envy watching all the meals being made while sitting at the counter.
I was meeting with a friend in the West Village mid-afternoon and we went to Buvette because he loves the Tarte Tatin and wanted me to try it. It is fantastic. I ordered the chocolate mousse which is also fantastic and exactly what a mousse should be! The space is great, the music is great and the vibe is great. The service is also fantastic. I was commenting on a wine on ice at the bar and the server was kind enough to ask me if I had ever tried it and when I said no, offered me a taste. Very thoughtful.
Amazing French style breakfast. Get the waffle sandwich!!! You won't regret it. It's the perfect amount of flavor and overall tastes so good. Probably my favorite item in nyc when we visited.
Simple and fresh kind of small plate french menu, like ratatouille or beets with creme fraiche or steak tartare kind of thing. Great cocktails and friendly helpful service. Very casual and cool.
Be sure to have a reservation before you go as the space is really tight, so there aren't that many seats. It's much better for small groups ideally for two. Be sure to get a variety of dishes as the portion sizes are pretty small. Overall food was packed with a lot of flavor.
Worth the wait. I try to do this place at least once a month for brunch. If you want to have a little but of Paris flavor and devote then this is your place.
I came in late evening and it is still filled with people. The atmosphere is quite nice and cozy. Space is tight so it's good for two people or small group. Their dish size is small compare to the average dish size in America. The quality of the food is very good. Service is good. Will come back again.
Unfortunately, with this restaurant, it's not what it used to be. I miss the quick service breakfast and lunch, and the old dinner menu. This new prix fix menu and cost is ridiculous. $37 for children 3-9 and $62 for adults.
Amazing local Gem with authentic staff, menu and wines by the glass. Open late with a casual vibe and no frills service. Highly recommend this for a casual night out with friends or a romantic setting for a date.
Very supposedly-trendy place! Tiny tiny tables, inconveniently cramped and narrow every where.
The brunch is the typical stuff, and the portions are tiny. The quality is adequate. Nothing surprisingly good or bad. It's a product of trends and this place toes the line.
My partner and I got fish dishes which were off the charts good paired with some delicious wine. My partner enjoyed the classic French style. Our friends had the burgers and did not like them so we say stick to the fish if you go!
This was the most perfect place for a romantic Valentine s date. Cozy with dim lighting and ambient music *swoon* We had beef burgers which I think were a special. They were delicious and the perfect size and the fries were the best. The mulled wine was a winner and the staff were friendly and warm. Can t wait to go back for breakfast!
Had the cranberry toast, steamed eggs, crispy bacon, cappuccino , and blood oranget juice... omg... BEST breakfast in a city of amazing restaurants....
Overpriced, tiny tables, overcrowded and long lines. What is the hype? Food was okay. The steamed eggs were bland. Maybe I didn t try the right food? The food looks good for Instagram
We went for breakfast and I loved the croque madame while my guests loved the avocado toast, and the belgian waffle. So yummy with great service and an atmosphere perfect for either those going solo, couples meeting for the first time or groups. And a shout out to those who designed the rest rooms. Frequently not mentioned, most NYC Village bathrooms are downstairs and are dogs. This one was so lovely I encouraged those in my group to go visit before leaving. Delicious, welcoming, and a breath of France in the Village.
Buvette is always a delight. It is one of the only late night restaurants.in NYC with quality small plates for late night dining. The menu changes according to the seasons. They also have a.great wine and yummy cocktails.
This place might as well be France. Read: You are going to eat A LOT of bread and you re going to like it. We went at like 3pm on a Friday and were able to go right in.
I hated this place. While it might be perfect for a child's tea party, with its tiny furniture and miniature cutlery, it's no place for a normal-sized (male) adult. Service was poor, seating embarrassingly inadequate, and our mostly tasteless meal barely fit at the table. While the decor was interesting, hanging rugs beside the tables seems assuredly in questionable taste. Restrooms are in the basement, but because servers refuse to provide adequate seating for disabled patrons that likely won't be a problem for the mostly petite clientele this woeful restaurant normally accommodates.
The service was excellent. Food was the right amount. Not sure how other reviews want their plates. The only downside is the tables, which are to small.
A small, crowded restaurant with horrific waits. Food is terrific: beef carpaccio is rich, coq au vin is hearty, seasonal veggies are fresh. Dishes are small and shareable. Wine list is varied and interesting. Service is pleasant.
I absolutely loved this place. A quaint French cafe in NYC, complete with incredible food, drinks and ambiance. I visit this location every time I'm in town. The food is excellent, made from scratch practically in front of you. The flavors are rich, and there are plenty of options for everyone. Prices are reasonable, service is excellent. They tend to be busy, so prepare to wait for a table. But it is well worth it.
Is a very nice restaurant, food is delicious the breakfast is very yummy and they have a fresh juice, the carrots salad is very tasty and the coffee is the best in Manhattan.
Works until 02:00 in the morning. I ate a hamburger that accompanied fries. The food was extremely salty. Hot, but VERY salty. No coke (or Pepsi). The atmosphere is pleasant, warm and well receptive. The service is also very good.
This place is overated, the food is good but is not outstanding to justify the prices. The waitress was not attentive and there was some air of arrogagance that we did not appreciate. There are many places much better, less expensive and with better services. My wife and I travel around the US and many countries and we were disappointed with this place. Avoid, easy to find a better place in NYC
This place is perfection. Great with friends, great for a date. Amazing French food at an affordable price, and as always with my favorite restaurants in the city, a cozy romantic atmosphere to match it. Casual and rustic yet chic. The cold sliced lamb with beans is my favorite!
When we went to pay the lady at the register couldn't ring up our meals separately and instead just split it evenly even though we all got different dishes and some of us got drinks and some of us didn't. The lady said it was just too busy for her to ring up our meals separately.
