Great place for all computer and electronics peripherals.

If you are looking for good customer service, look elsewhere because I've never been so upset with returning a product before. I purchased a new MSI motherboard last week and after testing it realized there were some problems with it. When I went to go return the motherboard today, I was referred to Mike Nguyen, the assistant manager, after the associate claimed that it had bent pins. I was then told that I could not exchange or return it... mind you this "bent pin" was not there when I first brought it in.

As the associate was first looking over the motherboard it literally looked like he was finding a reason to not process my return, he looked over EVERY single pin on the motherboard and finally when everything seemed fine he goes, "Ohh!! Wait a minute! Here it is, there's a bent pin, sorry sir there's nothing I can do." Uhh.... Excuse me? How did I know you didn't just bend that right now to say you can't process the return? Escalating it to their "assistant manager" only wasted my time as he just repeated what the first guy was saying that "it was sold new so it couldn't have came like that." I'm utterly shocked, I didn't realize manufacturers were perfect and never sell defective products! Everyone around me agreed and couldn't believe what they were hearing either, with one person even commenting that's why we should buy from Amazon. UNBELIEVABLE that they tried to put the blame on me and said that I was the one who bent the pins... They treated me like I didn't understand what was wrong when I've been in IT for over 10 years, building and maintaining computers for over 15. I know how to follow an arrow and put a chip into a motherboard for goodness sake.

So even after all this I then asked for an exchange and the assistant manager said to contact MSI instead. I really don't understand why they are making it so difficult for their CUSTOMER to process a return/exchange. Way to make choosing Amazon/Newegg 1000000% times easier, you would never deal with this problem with them. I'm never spending a dime here and I hope you don't either as there are places out there that are much more appreciative of your money. Now I get why the parking lots are always empty, oh how times change. You lost a customer that's been with you for so many years over a motherboard... just sad.

Don t come here. Unless you know the person the sales men are snakes. The customer service is pretty low tier unless you are constantly bugging them. The staff looks dead or don t understand request.

Unless you know what you need do not come here. You are a walking money sign when you come into frys.

Your Best Buys are at another store hands down.

Worst customers service. Sales rep weren't willing to assist and when they did they looked anode.

Their sales person was super helpful in helping us look for a TV to fit or need and our budget. He also gave us an insight to upcoming deals and best bargains. We're going to come again for our big purchases

The manager Mike was so rude this is the worst place ever after waiting for an hour to talk to the manager Mike about an item a demo we ask for 15% off and he said no he can only do 10 and frys policy is only to do 10% off ! I know that s a lie because I ve been shopping from Frys my whole life . Any way it s not about the discount about the way he talks to us . he was really rude he couldve said no in a nice way I told him we been shopping from Frys and they usually give us 15% on a demo he said No we don t do that and go to a different Frys then don t come here . We end up leaving

Helpful staff and big selection. Online shopping is probably putting this place out of business though. The are even doing free local same-day delivery, but no one knows about it.

Was pretty empty when I went there early evening. Wasn't well stocked. Took a very long time to find someone walking around to help me. Is this place closing?

They were clearly running out of stock on some items. Process were good. Floor needed a cleaning.

Avoid this place. Very inpatient sales. They only cares the product they want to promote. A sale even said the product I am looking at is a rubbish.

This location doesn't stock the same as other stores, and it can be annoying when EVERY OTHER location has the things you want and need. Definitely not coming back to that one, if I can help it, which should be easy... Prices on shelves were old and duplicates, with incorrect old tags next to current tags for the same item, with lower price. $80 in one sjelyf slot, but only $25 when you spot it two shelves away... This likely scares off a lot of purchases, because we, as consumers, hate paying more for stuff.

The place was empty. The shelves were empty. There were very few people in the store. The parking lot was virtually empty. And, the I still had to wait ten minutes to check out. Looks like they are going out of business.

It's Fry's what else do you need to know? Hold on. i have a suggestion self checkout counters needed. "should i stay or should i go?"

The store was spacious and clean. Everyone was extremely helpful. I went in looking for a budget soundbar and found one that had $80 off.

Took it to the register, was told that it required me to be on the mailing list and having received the promotion code. But the guy was kind enough to let me sign up and get the promotion code on the spot. Money saved, and one more Frys shopper for life. Bye, Best Buy.

Oh, and there is a concert hall sized Steinway in the middle of the floor but only as a decoration?? Come on... that poor piano is crying itself to sleep every night for being wasted.

I went to get a portable drive that was comparable with MC & PC. I got the one the sales person for that area suggested. But it wasn't comparable, I called MC support and they told me the same thing. It was a 5 Tb for $130!

They always want to "ring you up" so they can get commission when they don't even help.

Same old Frys (nothing got changed since last 12 yrs)

Went on a Sunday afternoon, you'd expect that to be a time where its more crowded, but the place is dead. The shelves are so empty and I didn't manage to get anything I came for. I ended up having to shop online which defeats the point of going to a store. The place looks like it's been hit by an apocalypse and this is the aftermath. It wasn't like this a few years ago, and it's sad to see how bad ecommerce (I assume) is killing the place.

They DO NOT match internet prices. You get a ton of excuses when you actually try to get the online price. I was charged full price even when I was able to show that Amazon and Wal-Mart had the item $20.00 cheaper. You're better off just buying online. Total scam.

Good store, price are pretty low after applying the promo code.

Unusual to advertise that one cooked their circuitry.

They have everything and some things the prices are very good.

Some good prices. Some helpful people. Some people just don't care.

Huge store, but very low in inventory. Seems like the end is nigh for this spot.

The Mecca for electronics good. Need an obscure part? Frys is the place to go. This Frys also had huge selection of "As Seen On TV" stuff... My favorite bizarre ASOTV item photoed below!

Terrible customer service, only two laptops, if you want just a wireless headphones or speaker than go to fry's. Don't expect a lot. I rather by online.

Fry's used to be the only place to go if you needed electronics in the Bay Area. To an extent it still is. When I am at work, this is where I go, wires, connectors, solder, multi meter, label printer, SD cards, USB drives, keyboards, mice. Even the 49" 4k TV I use as a monitor. Last time I bought a car stereo it came from here. They have a much wider range than Best Buy, but they aren't guaranteed to be cheaper. On the other hand, if you need something electronic today then this is the place to go. They don't carry everything, if you are looking for very specific connectors, or bulk wire, then Digi-Key is probably the answer.

Fantastic variety of electronics related products and generally good prices.

I mean.... the place is obviously going to close soon. There were hardly any products on the shelves, but I can at least say that the customer service was good.

I usually find what I am looking for. However, the pushy sales people are very annoying. Then when I do need help the sales people are mostly clueless. I asked for an adapter the sales person said they don't carry it. However, that didn't seem right to me so I kept looking on my own and found it about 20 minutes later.

Customer service is not enthusiastic and women's bathrooms are awful, wet toilet seats, urine on floors, disgusting. Nice products.

There's one thing that all the fry's stores have in common, mediocre staph, at best. There size of selection is the only reason I go back.

It's not always like this but recently it has been getting worst. Price tags are on the wrong product. Stock is so low for some common things like keyboard it's annoying. I had to go to another store just to pick one up.

Still a cross between an appliance store, a tech store, and a toy store. Have most anything there. Good alternative to online if you want to see things before you buy, or need them RIGHT NOW! Multiple locations... check their site to see what's in stock at different stores.

Know what your looking for and go in expecting not to get any help

Not sure if they are going out of business, but this Fry's is literally empty. Not the customers but their inventory

Three men working the electronic components floor at the Arques Ave store teamed up to try to find a $6 replacement power cable with the classic "mickey mouse" connector. It was not to be found, but they told me there were 22 in stock in San Jose, and when I got to the Brokaw Ave store, their colleagues knew exactly where to find it.

This is great service, far beyond what you might expect in a warehouse-size store. I'm impressed.

Terrible visit, walked around looking for an item and no one could help. Had to make a phone call to the store general information in order to get some help.

Second time I've driven here only to find they were out of HP printer ink. The store is huge and barren. Going
out of biz soon I suspect

If you are looking for electronics and electrical items for your use, this is a go to place in Sunnyvale. The best part of their service is that they match the prices with the other sellers like Best Buy and Amazon. I had found this place to be good when it came to picking up universal chargers, hard drives and oscillating fans and many more. They do match the price. Staff is good and very helpful too.

- I spent 20 minutes waiting for the restroom, which was closed for cleaning in the middle of the day, while the 2 janitors inside seemed unaware of the long line forming outside and many Fry's sales employees walked in and out of a break/meeting room, observing the long line and saying nothing.

+ The sales associates here are not as pushy as other locations and respect your personal space if you say you're just looking.

+ They also didn't have a completely cleaned-out inventory like the Fry's on Hamilton Ave. in the days preceding Christmas.

- The cashier ringing me up seemed rather disinterested in correcting the prices that rang up incorrectly. I bought 2 notebooks that were exactly the same except for the color on the outside. One of them scanned for twice as much. I brought this to his attention. He tried scanning it again. It rang up as the same price but he said the computer listed it as a different brand. Even though it wasn't a different brand, this error didn't seem to bother him and he basically gave me the option of "take it or leave it." I couldn't be bothered asking for a manager to correct the error or going back through the store to find one that would scan correctly so I just bought it and paid more than I should have.

The store is in a very bad state has leaks everywhere and they no longer have merchandise this empty

The choices were better than most other frys nearby.

Fry's is one of those places that is a necessary evil. Every time I go in I never want to go back, but they are one of the few places to get random cables and components readily with out having to wait for shipping.

Always check what you are purchasing to see if it was refurbished or opened before. They are the kings of restocking parts.

If you ask for help finding something be prepared for blank stares if it not a common item.

Poor service with few employees to help. And half the shelves are empty. Tried to purchase a desk and they only had display only.

Good selection of computer parts and diy electronic components. Fry's has a good but some what limited supply of non-consumer electronic and non-diy products.

Everything electronic that you could possible want, if you can't find it anywhere else, you can probably find it here.

Love their diode and resistor and transistor collections :)

Their return policy needs to be updated/changed/reworded.

Went to buy an air conditioner as they were the only ones that had any. We checked their website prior for their return policy and it says that USED air conditioners can only be exchanged if defective. So we went in to buy one and decided to buy two and take one back if we didn't use it.

At the checkout we were informed that we cannot return ANY air conditioner, used or unused and unopened. They even handed us a printout of their whole return policy with that part highlighted. I pointed out that it says USED and was told that it applies to all air conditioner returns, not just used.

So we decided to put one back. I will be contacting their head office about this just because I think it needs to be reworded.

I wanted 2 buy virtual headset...but they hardly had any options...expected more variety

Had the goods in stock. Last one on the shelf! % new fully sealed untouched box. Rare thing I scored big. Item works Great. Thank you Fry's didn't even run Amazon on your ass. I was happy enough you had it, new sealed, and priced Right enough that I had cash in pocket. That convenient price I wasn't going to nickle and dime it, Today Fry's you win. Forever with you till the end. Amazon will swallow you, Fight hard I'll keep buying from you.
