Impressive reception lady with great passion

We are no exception, as a tourist in Seattle, visit to this Starbuck first store is a must.

Nothing much, but small little restaurant

Always packed with people, but very systematic, just countered they have more than 10 Staff working behind the counter

Oh ! Believe this is the only restaurant without table or chair

Where the very first Starbucks store was...
unfortunately, due too many people coming here everyday and buying the merchandise, the store is full with boxes it kinda looks like half storage room. But still worth a visit!

Always great to see where it all started and enjoy their Pike blend that you can only get at this location. Make sure to ask about their exclusive gift card that you can only get at the original store.

I drink far more Starbucks coffee than I should. And if I m being honest, those lattes are seriously hit and miss in terms of consistency. But, I have come to rely on the ready availability of stores pretty much everywhere I go, so caffeine is never far away!
I have to say though, I never understood the appeal of this specific location. I appreciate the history. But it s tiny and typically packed to the gills! If you re at the market, I say go find something new and interesting to drink or eat, and enjoy the variety the market offers!

Usually a long line here. I'd not recommend coming over just to grab a coffee. There's plenty of Starbucks in this area. This is the only place where you can get the special first Starbucks coffee mug, though.
There's also a Starbucks Reserve store up in Capitol Hill where you can buy coffee beans, etc.

The 1st store is a place you should look around once. We sell a wide variety of souvenirs, coffee and beverages in the first store.
If you go during lunch on weekdays, the waiting line is short.

The first store I wanted to go all the way.
It is a very small store, but when you go to the morning opening
There are already 10 people.
You better go with Asahi and go.
Day was amazing.
I bought a limited number of goods and cards, coffee beans at the 1st store.
Recommended for people who like Starbucks.

The first Starbucks store. It is crowded with tourists even during the daytime on weekdays. I have become accustomed to other shops so as to pass by for a moment. Tumblers that can only be purchased here were also sold (the ones on the wall are for display, and when you buy them, there is a menu table with photos at the cash register). All the shop assistants were very helpful. The logo was cute with the old Starbucks.

This Starbucks on Pike Place, which opened in 1976, has become a tourist attraction in its own right. It is the only Starbucks shop in the world to feature the oringinal Starbucks logo from the late 1960's!

Interesting Fact: Although this shop is referred to as the 'First Starbucks' it's not exactly that. The First Starbucks opened in 1971 at 2000 Western Avenue and moved to the current Pike Place location in 1976!

The first Starbucks store in the world with over 20,000 stores.
The place and building are the same as before, located in the Pike Place Market, with the first Yoshinoya store in Tsukiji.
Locals come and queue, but they don't have to wait so long because they turn fast.
You can also buy the first store original goods here.

Starbucks ground zero is just cool. You have to visit if you are in Seattle. Get ready to wait twice. The line outside is a minimum of 10 minutes day or night. Once inside, people will have ordered their favorite beverages, but your wait will be no longer than at a typical crowded Starbucks at rush hour. Bring extra cash. There is merchandise exclusive to the original location ranging from $10 for a bag of coffee to about $100 for an apron. Exclusive mugs will run about $22-24. Plan extra time to visit Pike Place once your visit to Starbucks is done, because there are so many cool things to see. Oh - one final note, park a couple blocks away in any underground lot. Your car will thank you.

For any faithful coffee drinkers and Starbucks fanatics, this is the home of the original Starbucks chain. Always crowded and full of people trying to snap pictures this locations more about the history than it is about Coffee. Luckily you can have both here.

Good to look at and see where it all started, I wouldn't recommend going in and standing in the really long line for the same starbucks coffee you'll get everywhere. I recommend taking your pictures then walking around the corner to Seattle Coffee Works for a great cup'o joe. cheers.

This is it. This is THE STARBUCKS. The one that started it all.

The line is always long but it's fun to wait in line and go in and check everything out. I think if you're a starbucks fan you need to go do this once while you're in Seattle!

It is the first store in the chain and is almost the same since its inauguration in 1921. There is always a lot of lines. Go with time. She's super girl but she's full of history. They sell good memories like original mugs and aprons.
It's one of Seattle's must-sees.

Long line to get into this original Starbucks in Pike Place. The staff is friendly and works efficiently. It's an interesting experience being in the shop. The perks of the shop is for many of it's limited edition mugs. And yes, they do still throw the empty coffee cups from one side to the other to make your drink.

Not sure what these people are talking about who are leaving negative reviews. Obviously must have an agenda to screw over Starbucks. I work for Starbucks and visited here on vacation. Delicious coffee, friendly staff, and very low wait time, considering this is the original Starbucks. You would go here expecting sub-par service and heinous wait times, but it's the exact opposite. Haters gonna hate.

It s amazing to think that this is the first Starbucks! First of all I love this store because they play sweet music. But they got 5 stars because the staff is really kind and friendly and they give you a little show by throwing cups. It s just a all around awesome place!
