Huge store with good variety of computer hardware and electronics

It'd been a while since my last visit, but wow, it seems it's not only me. The place is practically a ghost town, both in and out.

Super nice staff each visit. Returning or exchanging made easy.

Stock wise, this is your typical Fry's. My main complaint is that is always smells inside here especially at the entrance.

Otherwise it's your standard Fry's.

Dead. No spirit. No enthusiasm. The owners let their flagship store die. Has all the usual fair you find in an electronics store.... But there is no one there to greet you.

There is everything you need here -- Awesome cafe to relax in between shopping! '2 Thumbs Up!'

People here are disappointingly unprofessional. I had to wait ten minutes to find someone I was able to talk to. And when I asked him to help me look for some adapter, he only told me to find one on my own from the shelf. The truth is that I had spent half an hour trying to find that from the whole shelf. I ordered it from Amazon in the end.

There are many types of products, but there are not many options for each category, especially many of the mice are empty and not replenished.

Bad customer service. Sales tactics are borderline dishonest. Ordered an item online to pick up at the store. The store calls and informs me that the only instance of the item is an open box. I don't want it, even with a $50 discount. They offer to get a 100% nee item from the Fremont store. Sounds great! I'm told to come in the next day. I do. No new item. Just the open box. No record of phone call, no offer to get it for real this time. Please choose: 2hr drive to Fremont or take this open box. Thanks for adding stress to XMas shopping.

Great place to shop for electronics products in San Jose

I love this place. Prices are decent and they have everything electronic item that you could ever need.

Lot of cheap electronic s ,hardware's ,computer products. But downside is little help available at store to locate a product or a question. But a visit is recommended.

Fry's is going out of business. No signage saying so but lots of empty shelves and the staff is clearly dispirited.

Aw yes Fry's. Somehow these places stay a float. Good selection of devices now if they could only figure out how to make their employees happy about working there.

English is their second language, having said that if you know what you want, for computers, communications equipment and software they usually have it on the shelves. The prices are competitive, return policy good and they have handicap parking and access. I've been to many of the stores including the original one, a good consistent experience.

Great store, diversity of products, and good salers

Wow! The place looks like it is going to be Rearranged (emptied out?) Or something. Fry's is a big time electronics franchise store; it would be nice if their stores had a Try out some Featured Items for sale on their regular adds Nearby their lounged areas of the cafe.

Good selection and competitive prices make this place a good alternative to online shopping.

Honestly seems like they're prepared to go out of business tomorrow. The store is empty products are removed or missing from shelves. Everything is basically out of stock and overpriced. I paid 10$ from some Arctic 5 which is not necessarily a huge mark up but a bit more expensive than msrp for most places.

I bought a MacBook pro and I had a very nice experience of interacting with sales guy and also overall experience of cost and billing.

It took them to find device 20 mins, had to talk to multiple people, had to tell them it's in stock as per website. After I git the device, at register they took another 20 mins to match their website price. I bought $100 device, they spent more than hour, not sure how much they made from this device. Need not say it's more than hour time waste for me.

Normally I get great deals at Frys, thus 4 Stars. I was shopping for new dryer, they had $50 deal on least expensive. Home Depot was then $50 more same item. I asked salesguy about free delivery...he said yes. He went on break. I went to another guy to order. As he completes it he says $39 delivery, $29 to install, $20 take old one away. I went ahead to cashier, they charged me tax on the service. Guys go to install say need new gas line (maybe required) and vent pipe(? Looked fine to me). Come back with New gas line - wrong one. Comes back 3rd time calls me he says gas valve is old, leaking. I go to plumbing supply store and call him. Valve not bad...he was smelling gas that came out of line when he removed.

This Fry's location is very clean, spacious with lots of staff. My only issue is that every time I'm there, the staff always seem to be too busy stocking things to notice me or ignore me until I specifically ask them a question. Those that do ask me if I need anything are suspiciously looking for a commission cut.

Good prices, sales people not known for their knowledge.

They have a lot of variety. The place is huge as is the parking lot. They are never busy except on Black Friday etc.

Extremely helpful staff. Lacking the selection and quantity of items once available (2005).

They have an area of the store, specifically marked as "Battery Central". Not. Came here specifically to pick up some 9V batteries. And they didn't have *any* in stock. Plenty of AA & AAA, but zip, zero, zilch, nada 9V. Battery Central indeed. NOT!

Big Fry's. Good place to visit for electronics. You will always end up buying more than planned though.

This location doesn't have the whole explorer theme, which I guess can be either good or bad depending on how you feel about that theme. This location is leaps and bounds above the Campbell location. This location had the shelves stocked and the employees were helpful. If you need something from Fry's come to this location.

Ordered online. Never got email confirmation that order was ready to pickup after waiting 24hrs. Decided to drive there anyway. Got there and cashier had a very heavy Indian accent that was nearly impossible to understand. Finally I just showed my email order #. She went and checked then came back saying it wasn't available. She kept asking for some other # and finally I just asked to speak to manager. Suddenly she went and found my item within seconds. I feel bad but the accent barrier was to much. If I can avoid the place I will.

Shelves and displays are half empty in the computer section.

No customer service available. I had to search around the big empty store for help.

Good prices if you can find the item u are looking for. Friendly staff but you better know what you are looking for before you come in. They have bawls energy drink here. Come relive your childhood at Frys before its too late

I go here all the time. Even though I have minor issues with finding, well, everything, it's still the best Fry's in the area.

Clean store with lots of stuff. What more does anyone want.

Frustrating experience, Again. I still wonder why I shop here and how such a large electronics store remains in business. I ordered a simple dongle online for in-store pick-up, and it took me three tries to make sure I was able to select the store nearest to me (which showed the device was available).

When I showed up, the front desk (Customer Service) clerk was busy with a return, no other clerk to help. He never looked around to see if there were any other customers waiting for his help. When I approached him, with my online order question, he mentioned I had to go to the check stands. I stand in line, and there is no order under my name, even when I showed them my confirmation email. Turns out, the system had placed the order to the wrong store. I asked to cancel the order. The clerk says, it doesn't have to be as the order isn't processed until you pay for it at the store. And I should just go to shelves and pick it out myself.

I don't know what is going on at Fry's, but they have gone down hill tremendously. The last time I was inside, in March, their shelves were nearly empty. I hope them doing pickup service is working for them. They are a bay area staple.

Often seems kind of picked over. I wanted to buy a webcam today and they literally had no webcams. There is an aisle where there should be webcams but it was empty. I hope the business works out in the long run but it seems a little sad and run down these days.

I bought telescope as a gift. The representative was super awesome. She help me find the product from their store even though it was not in display.

I fried my CPU and had to go to Fry's to replace it

Fry's Electronics is the best electronics / gaming store!

Matches internet prices without fuss and easy returns within 30 days. Plus, great deals everyday in easy to read emails.

But, poorly organised store. I mean how difficult can it be to put all usb drives in one place. All usb cables in one place. Every time you go to buy something, you have to walk the entire store floor and tire your eyes completely to find it. And sales people cant help much with that either.

Store could use an visual upgrade. Store also did not have what I was looking for
