This is our 2nd time leasing a car from fred beans ford of west chester. Micheal Joseph, and his staff were very helpful and courteous. They created a relaxed atmosphere, with a no pressure environment. There follow up service is exceptional, and we only have good things to say about the dealership and would highly recommend them to all our family and friends.
My experience a few years ago: I went in towards the end of the day and met Phil. He immediately recommended the car that I ended up going with, but as I was waffling between a few different cars, he stayed very patient. We walked through the lot while he showed me different cars that met my needs, told me the pros and cons of each, and took me around for test drives.
Other than the initial suggestion, he let me come to my own conclusion whether or not I wanted the car. He didn't push anything, was very polite and patient, and all-around made my first car-buying experience hassle-free.
The guy who sold insurance was another story. I told him that I flat-out wasn't interested, but he made me sit and listen to his spiel. He said that he hadt to tell me because "Pennsylvania is a 'full-disclosure' state". For the record, that's a bunch of bull.
Overall, I'd give the place an 8/10. Only docking the 2 points because of the insurance salesman being a hack.

I recently got a puncture in my tire (luckily has tire protection), I have to say l, this service center was most pleasant experience I have ever had at a repair place.
Not impressive. My wife made an appointment to see a specific CPO Explorer. We get there, drag two small kids from the car into the busy showroom, and guess what? After a 10 minute search for the keys, it turned out that the finance manager had the vehicle out for the weekend, and it wasn't available to show. I know getting people in to see cars (I've sold new Ford cars before) is a numbers game, but don't promise to show a car and be totally clueless about it's whereabouts. We left and bought a car elsewhere. Don't waste people's time. I won't be back to this place ever.

Bought a used car from Al Ubaldini. Got a great deal! Very nice staff. No sales pressure. Very accommodating. Could not ask for a better experience. Service is another story. I would not trust my car being repaired there.
Fred Beans inspected the car and put new stickers on it when we bought it. Tie rods failed in 6 months. Lost control of car while driving. Mechanic said the tie-rods were so bad it was rotted through. How does a car pass inspection and then have a part fail due to rust in 6 months.

I waited a couple years to finally write this review because the salesperson kept nagging me to leave him a review.
I bought a "Certified" Pre-Owned truck from this location in October 2016, and my salesperson was Mohamed Tunis. He was pleasant enough but obviously fake. They refused to budge on the price, which was well above NADA value, but I bought it anyway (I will take the blame for overpaying). When I got financing, they did not offer me gap insurance even though the loan put the vehicle upside down for the next two years.
They sold the vehicle to me with a manual in FRENCH. It took them 4 months to get me an English manual. It had a keycode entry on the doors, and they didn't tell me the code until weeks after I bought the truck.
Turns out, they spray painted the undercarriage black to disguise a rotting frame. Within two years, I had to do multiple repairs (two of which left me stranded at 1am on dark country roads) due to the corrosion of the parts. I found out from speaking with an auto mechanic and another dissatisfied customer that this is a common practice at Fred Beans. Another person bought a vehicle with DUCT TAPE underneath that was spray painted black to conceal a rotted frame full of holes.
Needless to say, 2 years after my purchase, a "certified" vehicle was no longer road worthy due to defects that Fred Beans purposely concealed, and the truck is so upside down I can't even trade it in. It's currently sitting in the garage with no valid inspection. Never doing business with any Fred Beans location again.
After years of driving other than Ford/Lincoln vehicles I visited Fred Beans of West Chester. Their selection of vehicles, staff, sales and service department exceeded my expectations. 12 years later I continue to be a customer of Fred Beans and will be for years to come. Bought 13 f150 xlt with 27000 miles its a buitiful truck and price was right. Sales process was fair and easy financing on site out the door. Sales agent Philip Waldenberger was personable and knolagable when i changed my mind on what truck i wanted last minute at 830 at night on a wednesday he was perfectly ok showing me that truck. I had the pleasure of working with Mohamed when I went to Fred Beans Ford Lincoln of West Chester recently to test drive a new Ford Fusion Sport. Mohamed was very professional, courteous and took the time to find out what features I was looking for in my next vehicle. He was very flexible with allowing me to take a test drive shortly before the dealership closed and even took me on a tour around the dealership once we returned. Never once was I rushed or led to believe that my business wasn't important. We live out of state. With in the West Chester area our truck broke down. We limped it to this shop. We showed the person there what the problem was and explained our need for our truck quickly. The next day we got a call that they had fixed something else on our truck. We explained this wasn't the problem and we had shown someone the problem. After three more days they called and told us our truck was done. We picked it up and paid the $500 service bill. Within two hours of driving it, the same problem occurred again. We limped it back to the dealer explained the problem and they argued it had nothing to do with the first repair. It was obviously not correctly fixed the first time. Then they lied and said we had never told them what we wanted fixed or what the problem was. They fixed a problem we never asked for or authorized and ignored what the real problem was. Then they agreed to make the repair correctly and split the cost with me. The next day I called to check on it and they said it would now cost $1,500 and they were not going to split the cost. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE we have ever experienced. We took it to a local mom and pop garage not far away and the real problem was fixed for $100. We will never be back to this place.
Dave Vrencur was knowledgeable about all options on my new F150 PLATINUM, VERY PATIENT!!! There is more bells and whistles then my wife's Mercedes C 300 !! Bad experience with commercial service department. I took a van in because it had a little shimmy. They said i needed new shocks to maybe fix the problem. They quoted over $1000 for this repair. I took it to a local mechanic for a second opinion. He found a broken tie rod and had me fixed for under $200 in no time. He said shocks were fine and didn't need replacing. Not sure if it was incompetence or if they were trying to get over on us. My new mechanic said it was very easy to spot the problem.

I have never had a bad experience with Fred Bean. My contact Herb (and Kim who schedules my appointments) are ALWAYS helpful, courteous and just plain NICE. The service is always complete, fairly priced and they don t keep me waiting any longer than needed. Just to put things into perspective. I go to Fred Beans with both my cars (a Lincoln and a Ford). They are 19 miles one way. There is a Ford dealer less than 3 miles from me and another that I have to pass on the way to Fred Beans about 9 miles. I choose to go the greater distance. During the past year I had an incident where my Ford was disabled (mice chewed through some wiring). Ford warranty informed me I had to have my car towed to the nearest dealer. They fixed it, after 2 days. They were not rude, etc. but they could have gotten a new customer by showing some of the Fred Beans type of service. When I spoke to Herb about my situation that Ford would only tow it to the closest dealer he went and spoke to his manager. I received a phone call within an hour from Herb. His manager said he would be willing to send a tow truck to bring my car to Beans. How is that for making a customer feel special? I politely declined as I did not want to insult the local dealer. Two weeks later the mice were back and chewed my wiring yet again. This time I told Ford warranty that I would PAY to have it towed to Fred Beans PERIOD! We moved to Pennsylvania about 7 years ago. For 7 years I passed the Ford dealer 3 miles from our house (yes the same dealer that Ford towed the car to 3 miles from the house) and wondered why in the world am I going so far to have my cars serviced? After my experience with the mice I am happy to say that I pass the local dealer and NEVER asked myself that question again! Job well done Fred Beans!

Brought car in for well known clutch issue. Was told at first that they would take care of it under warranty, and then found that the warranty expired 16 days ago. Service advisor Tripper needs a MAJOR attitude adjustment. The amount of disrespect that was shown to my father (over the phone) and myself in person was sickening. Will never be back. As I was ready to leave, the key was thrown down on his desk. I asked where the car was, he goes "I don't know, go find it". Disgusted.
I've gone to this location for services and repairs 3 times now, and every time I've gone in I've had fantastic experiences. Really friendly staff, positive and upbeat atmosphere, and frequent check-ins while you wait so the time feels like it flies by. I don't know if this is the general vibe of Ford as a company, or if its this specific location, but the great customer service is making me want to always drive Ford cars. Fred beans Ford is extremely terrible and I have no idea why sheep are highly rating them. Here's my story: I'm in the market for a used Shelby gt350 mustang and these tards have the audacity to charge $58,288 for a USED one. This price is pretty much in line with a brand new leftover 2017 and frankly a brand new 2018 model.
I gotta say, even though I hate them, they do have spunk because the car I was looking at has been sitting on their lot since November of 2017, so that makes it over 4 months and they still refused to get to a fair price.
I recently bought a F-550 tow truck from Fresh Beans in West Chester. So far, I'm very happy with the service and quality of the truck. I'll continue to use them to service the vehicle as needed. They are friendly and easy to get along with.
We recently purchased our new Lincoln from Fred Beans Ford Lincoln. Joy Smith was our sales consultant. At first, we were not sure which vehicle we wanted to purchase (need to replace two older vehicles) but she never pressured us which made for a comfortable experience. She wanted us to be comfortable with the car we choose. She was friendly and informative in helping us decide between several models. After some thought, we came in and ordered our vehicle because we wanted a light interior and an HD radio. She was helpful in going over the many options packages and their purpose. When the car came in, Joy emailed to us Lincoln on-line connection information and then had all the final paperwork ready when we arrived to pick the car up. Scott in the business office explained other maintenance/care packages available for our new vehicle and processed the final paperwork quickly. Overall, we are happy with our purchase and the buying experience at this dealership.

Great experience buying my 2003 Jetta at Fred Beans. Drove 3 hours from State College to check out the vehicle and it was well worth it. "Old Dave" Vrencur in the sales department is the best around. Buying a car can be tedious and at times boring, but with Dave's one-liners and videos of his St. Bernard, you'll enjoy every minute of it!
Being that I was looking at an older used car, Dave brought me back to the service department where the mechanic who performed the vehicle's inspection was able to explain the good, the bad, and the ugly of the car I was considering buying. This was extremely helpful as I was able to factor in any expenses I would need to put into the car before purchasing it.

RIP OFF SERVICE!! BEWARE! I received a phone call at 2:15pm telling me the issues with the car. I authorized 2 repairs. 2 hours later, I get a call saying the repairs are done and come pay and puck up. I'm charged $900 in labor FOR 1 REPAIR ALONE, that had to be done to pass inspection. I was also charged $400 for rear brakes that were not authorized, and an oil change I did not request. The invoice says 'customer requests tires rotated', but under services not preformed and recommended - TIRE ROTATION. For $2400 in repairs which took 2 hours, it would have been nice to have my car vacuumed and washed, but the dealership has to get their recall repairs back somehow. Spoke with a couple other shops after for costs to compare, I was overcharged.

I thought this was a great Ford dealer and in the past I have had great repair work performed. I would have to say that there is a decline in the level of repairs that are performed there. I had my F150 in for a warranty engine repair about a month ago and the engine/trans cover was left off, all the clips for the ignition coils were broken, and there was grease and oil all over the place. I am a former BMW master tech and we would never leave a customers vehicle in that state. The service manager did nothing to address the problem after hours of trying to reach him on the phone. I would have to say, if you have a clean vehicle and want to keep it that way, don't go to this store. Maybe other Fred Bean stores are good but not this one.
