A classic 5 star hotel, a benchmark for "luxury" and "heritage"

We stayed overnight for an event during a busy weekend. Booked 3 rooms but 1 was checked in late because the guest before us left the room without checking out at the front desk. However none of the staffs were aware of this and only told us to wait...until late afternoon, and several times of going back-and-forth, to finally have one of the staffs checked the room, and declared it was empty. Another issue was we already asked to have the three rooms to be close to each other, at least at the same wing. But we got 1 room at the end of a totally different wing. They also did not inform us about this during check in, which was a pity because later in the day we found out there were empty rooms on our wing that morning. but since we only found out about it late, they are already gone. There was also maintenance work for the hot water tank, and tv.. Service was so-so. Some of them were nice, some were unfriendly. But we got a complimentary late check out in the end.

Ride the MRT down Setiabudi Station, walk out only 50 meters. Hotel. Old but elegant

Surprisingly the food was good, and the ambience was very nice. Will definitely come again next time.

Old hotels swimming pools are not representative, small and dirty. Even the room has a pockmarked wall

Old building, but it still has a vintage feeling, had a huge ballroom. One of the oldest building in jakarta that almost 100 years old

I didn't stay here, only visit for a half day seminar. But i do impressed with its interior. Anw, u cud enjoy the gamelan show in the lobby. The food taste is also good. Maybe someday I'll stay here

Grand Sahid even though the hotel is old, it's still thumbs up for 5 star hotels, okay facilities especially the magnificent mosque

Good to come here. While bazar Alhamdulillah sustenance through the Ministry . Eeeh, my dear, I ran out of cups for a drink tester, so I was forced to really use used cups, fortunately only 3 cups were used. Please forgive me sorry to those who have the discomfort

The food is delicious. The place is comfortable. Only the parking lot is not too big. Having to park in the back building if there are many events

the hotel is clean, comfortable, and thick with Javanese traditions. where to go, and right in the heart of Jakarta.

Really disappointed with the experience. The room is rather dirty, the service is bad and the bathroom is in bad shape. Doesn't worth the tag price.

Old but decent hotel for a short break in the center of Jakarta

Classic hotel. Javanese style. Quite good.
It is 44 years old hotel. Some of supporting facilities didn't work properly, but it's still OK

It's good that the place is clean, the mosque is under Ama on the 54th floor. But because there are a lot of floors and the escalator buttons are limited, so I have to transit to the first floor. And more and more my floor is almost queasy

Need major refurbishment. I attended a seminar on one of the meeting rooms which was okay. But upon entering the hotel main lobby uuufh I could smell unpleasant old furniture and building. I hope the rooms were not as deteriorated. Being a hotel in a prime location it should have upscaled itself to a more respectable property.

The place is quite strategic in Sudirman numbers. Here is the Design school, Lassale College

Comfortable hotel even though the building seems to be aged

I stayed at a business trip from Japan, not me. It is attractive that the room rate is relatively low, but Wi-Fi is slow and frequently cuts over, odor from bathroom drain and toilet near, shower fixed from ceiling, mosquito room I was not able to recommend it.

The place is luxurious, I came for my friend's graduation.

Just winning in a strategic location, breakfast menu is good and varied. For the room, it's not too easy

The room is neat and clean. Quite spacious and everything works fine in the bedroom, however the toilet has no lid, so a little bit feel disappointed. Also the water flow in the shower cant be adjusted properly. Pricewise the hotel is pretty good esp located in the business district.

Sahid Hotel is one of the hotels that has long been in Jakarta. There are often held weddings, scientific symposiums and community gatherings. Unfortunately the parking lot is located some distance apart from the main building (where the event is usually held). Guests must go to the lobby which is one with a parking building, then move to the main building. What I remember when attending a number of scientific events there, the food served was delicious.

I expected more from a 5-star hotel. You get one key card in white envelope with the room number hand written on the front. The hotel itself is a bit old, which is fine as long it is maintained properly.
This was not the case here, the light controls and the temperature control did not work. I tried calling service from my room and waited for 10 minutes for nothing. Went to the front desk where the staff didn't seem to care. "It should be working" & "just remove the keycard during sleep to turn lights out". Luckily found a staff on my floor and asked for help, he called the Engineering team which came with hair net, face mask and shield. They checked and suggested moving rooms. Received a call later that apparently the hotel is fully booked and thus switching was not possible and that's it. Later the engineering team came back and managed to fix the issue. Props to the engineering team.
At night I found out that the shower is also problematic, dirty brown water came out for a a few minutes. The water switch also did not work properly, the shower drizzled as most water was wasted into the drain via the faucet for the tub. Was already late and did not want to waste more of my time with another front desk encounter. Not recommended at all.

I use the meeting room for 4 days and stay for 3 days, the snack for the meeting tasted bad,
the banket who serves us is not friendly, the service is very slow, also not stand by on location, and throwing assignments to each other.
the security is not friendly and shows the wrong way to the my guest,
the receptionist refused my guest to ask for the hotel stamp,
there is no trash can in the room, so you have to request for a trash can,
the hotel do not accept exchanges of small money among rupiahs, in the end I had to go to the nearest bank to be able to exchange my money,
my room ac was hot, and ac at my friend room who had a temperature of 29 degrees Celsius was very cold,
our toilet was broken and some parts were broken, and it turns out it also happened in my friend's room,
there was no shower cap, even though it was the basic thing that should be in a five-star hotel,
the marketing was also very bad, they don't have a colored printer and they give us hotel files only black and white, and they asked us to print it ourselves if we want file that colored, very unprofessional,
this is the last time we use this hotel as our meeting location.

Delicious.bs comfortable using public transportation trans Jakarta. The strategic location is the place ... you don't need to use private vehicles anymore.

Situated in the heart of business centre of Jakarta, it's easily accessible by the visitors. The rooms are well maintained and spacious. As a traveler would suggest to provide the good menu in English as well since it's difficult to identify and order food.
Overall a good place to stay in for business and leisure travel.

Older hotels that have been updated ... "still exist in the midst of new hotels ... Stay cool"
