The best thing about El Rastro is that you can find everything. Even things you didn't know existed or what they are for. Some ancient things that are already extinct and there can still be found

Typical place in Madrid, but part of its charm seems to be gone with the memory. Now there are many people, many pickpockets, who look at how to do August, it is almost impossible to walk from 12h to 15h or even before in the middle. You can find some interesting stalls of old objects, books, cameras, etc ... (that's very good) But almost everything else is nonsense or things that become fashionable and take advantage to sell at a high price. Even so, we all want to come to the trail and have a drink in one of the bars in the area, we must take care of that.

A very big and busy public market in the Las Latinas area but worth visiting.

Typical Madrid market, suggestive atmosphere. It takes place only on Sunday, I highly recommend seeing it, it's worth it!

What a crazy open air market! Immensely crowded, plenty of pickpockets, but lovely atmosphere and some invigorating musical performances.

A good place for people who want to buy cheap clothes or second-hand things. Unfortunately there are no longer typical posts of a Trail, where they sold interesting old things for which he was so famous.

My favorite place to miss on Sundays. Walking, strolling ... you always find something to buy and end the morning taking the vermouth and snacks. It never loses its charm ... Of course ... watch out for pickpockets as in any area with large crowds. And better to go first or last minute.

I'm not from crowds so I don't go very often. But there is no doubt that you have to know it. And there are friendly people who have located some second-hand clothing stalls more than great, with pleasure and lots of class.

Halfway between a huge market and a fair, it winds its way along different routes and offers various articles of local and non-local craftsmanship.

The greates flea market of Madrid City..it does attract plenty people due the varity of things that are on sale here..its every sunday so if you can have the chance do visit for a spell and you will definately find somethings to buy.there are plenty souvenirs ,antiques,handcrafts,leather stuff,jewellery but food...again be on full alert for pick pocketters as there are plenty of them.the security is also arround every corner but its never enough.

El Rastro is just a very big market. Very crowded in places. The atmosphere is great -lots of really good quality buskers. There are some good quirky shops around the market too. One old lady has a shop just selling only tape.

Undoubtedly a place that you have to visit crowded with people, but walking the stalls and antique stores is certainly a good plan for Sunday

We like to come but today they stole our cell phone. If you want to lose it with joy it is a great place to do it.

A place to get lost between its streets and stalls. Of course, you have to keep in mind that there are a lot of people if you go with children, animals, and even think about how to transport something you have seen in Antiquities to your house and want to take with you. Normal prices of any market, some higher but they do it because they are aware of the bargaining. I heard a woman ask a client 80e for an old lamp and lower it to 30, so you can get an idea.

El Rastro is one of the essential visits in Madrid. The star moment are Sundays, with the street stalls, but any day of the week has charm, with its multiple specialized stores. Because of the Covid (2020), the Sunday market is going through a time of uncertainty. Hopefully it is resolved well and soon.

Fascinating walk through southern Madrid while witnessing the the many cultures of Spain. Be prepared as there are pickpocketers all over the place and there are big crowds.

You can get clothes of different types at a great price, household items, handicrafts, souvenirs, there are also stores that offer old collectibles. The strong days to visit the market are Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

It's a must. It's thronged with people and at the same time it's a treat to be there. Awesome deals and good stuff. It takes place every Sunday and if you are there in Madrid on a Sunday be sure not to miss it. We had some excellent purchases. Not to mention the experience.

It's a must if you come to Madrid on a Sunday, it's a very typical market where you can find anything.

Mythical place, a must visit if you are passing through or if you are a resident in the city. It is necessary to go without haste to travel all its streets and with a bottle of very cool water in the backpack.

Very busy market, only open on Sundays. Lots and lots of touristy/souvenir stands, but you *can* find pretty much anything you want from artwork to clothes to antiques!

It is traditional to go for a shopping trip and have some snacks.

Quirky site, full d small shops as large as people who will sell their things from home. There are bars nearby very well d price. This is sooo full, yes. We went to 1 and until 2.30 there were people but not as much as first hours.

It is the weekly market in Madrid. There is every Sunday and holiday (including Christmas!), Opens in the morning at 9 and closes at 15. There are clothes, boxes, bags, trinkets, but also stalls of used items. It can be reached by bus C1 or C2 (circular) and the stop is called "el Rastro" or by metro and the nearest stop is "la latina" (green line). There are nice and cheap bars and restaurants nearby, today a 3 pincho and a beer !!! Typical of this area is eating the "caracoles" dish that is sea snails with sauce

Lots of atmosphere, with lots of stalls and articles, nice vendors (mostly). Lots of people, watch out for handbags and wallets. But great, if you pass through Madrid it is an essential place to visit

Only on Sunday. There are variety of stores with different products but the old items have a very small section of the entire trail. If you need memories of Madrid it is the best place to buy cheap.

Very pretty. Full of people and everything to buy. Cheap. There are cheap things and others not so much. Go early.

One of the most beautiful things to see in Madrid.
A real market is absolutely not to be missed (there is nothing to do with the San Miguel market). You can find everything from antiques to clothes, top Spanish soccer teams, leather bags and backpacks.

Quite complicated to be able to walk through it, it is cut and you have to take a good turn to be able to re-enter

One Sunday morning in Madrid the best option is El Rastro. Never disappoint. You always find a nice object or garment. There is no problem of thefts or scares. You have to go.

It is closed due to covid 19 and at the moment it is not worth going.

One is the essential places to visit if you are in Madrid. They wear every Sunday, and some holiday. You can find everything!

Interesting market held on Sunday morning and which offers two types of objects: mostly new handicrafts and various junk, for a smaller part modern antiques with also interesting pieces.
I see it more as a pleasant pastime than as an opportunity to make unexpected deals.
Either way it's worth at least a visit.

You'll find two balcony plenty of antiquaries store. There is Art Deco, 70's and awesome furnitures with fair price. That bureau 1.200 . I love it.

An interesting Sunday morning to be had here. Amazing range of stuff on sale here, hardly any of which I had an interest in buying! But very popular all the same
