Always super friendly and great atmosphere... My kids just love to hang out there when we are in for a maintenance check up... I do send friends and family there when they are needing a new vehicle!! Thank you for always taking care of our vehicle needs!!

I was greeted immediately- there was a bit of a wait time for a supervisor (Zach) to see me, but that's understandable because it was a Saturday and slightly busy. He did a good job keeping me updated every step of the way and breaking down costs/the work to be done, so that there were no surprises. The reception area is incredibly nice with charging stations and a variety of refreshments and snacks. I had multiple encounters where I was greeted amicably. Will definitely be coming here from now on for great customer service and quality of maintenance services.

i purchased a pre-owned vehicle from first texas honda- Austin in October 2015. They sold me a vehicle which had winter/snow tires on it. i am a novice on vehicles and when i came to know about the winter tires after the sale and asked them whether if they could replace the tires to All-season tires, they didn't bother. They didn't even had the courtesy to inform me that the vehicle had winter tires on it. i still remember the sales associate's(Karl Lewis) words (it has a lot of rubber on it) which i didnt realise at that time.

I was looking for a certified preowned CRV and found one at First Texas Honda. We made one trip to see the car, especially the color, as it was a different shade of red that I had not seen before. It was a rainy day so we opted to return in better weather. We talked with Bahadir Yildirim that day and he was very personable, informative and encouraged me to drive the CRV. We returned 2 days later and had a very pleasant visit with Bahadir. I felt unpressured and he answered all my questions, handled the sale quickly and gained my confidence in doing business with First Texas Honda. The dealership was doing a great job of making us feel safe during the covid-19 situation. I had my first experience with the service department today and Carlos was very helpful and showed us the same professionalism as did Baha. I would certainly recommend the dealership because of the great customer service given to us. Hondas sell themselves, so great team members make the dealership experience good or bad. My experience was a 10.

Took my 2005 Honda Accord in for service to fix an...

Took my 2005 Honda Accord in for service to fix an issue with my car hesitating to start. So after a week, they replaced my starter for $800+. When I returned to pick up my car, I found that it was having the same issue before I left their parking lot. I returned to the service office to explain that the car was not fixed. I left the car there to be repaired again. A few days later, I get a call from them saying that it will cost an additional $100+ to fix the real problem. When I asked about the $800+ that was spent replacing my starter they tried to convince me that the starter was going to fail soon and needed to be replaced anyway.

Bottom line is that these guys have lost my trust.

I wouldn't recommend using their service center.

On Monday, 19 Oct, we called the dealership to mak...

On Monday, 19 Oct, we called the dealership to make a deal on a new car. The salesman confirmed the car would be arriving on 21Oct and was available. We made the deal, received a signed purchase order, completed credit app (to which we were approved) and were told the deal was done. We asked the salesman to verify the car was marked as sold and were assured everything was in order.

As part of the deal we were to have additional accessories installed and the vehicle would be available to pick up on Friday or Saturday 22-23 Oct. On 21 Oct, the day the vehicle was scheduled to arrive, we attempted to make contact with our salesman to ensure the vehicle arrived on schedule. Our attempts were ignored. On 22 Oct, we attempted again and were told the salesman was off but would make contact with us first thing today. Once again the salesman failed to make contact. Finally we're able to get him on the phone only to be hold the car was accidentally sold.

He, nor the sales manager we had fealty with could explain and refused to make things right, other than to offer us a different color at the same price. Note the vehicle in question is a difficult color to obtain and this vehicle was being purchased for our son. He had saved a significant down payment, and has busted his butt to be in a position to do this.

Incredibly poor service, even worse recovery. While I understand mistakes happen, there was zero attempt to make things right other than to say, oops sorry.

Needless to say we will never use this dealership or any others owned by this auto group.

This is such a large car dealership! I did not make an appointment; just arrived about 9:30 in the morning, and left about 10:45. The advisor (J.T.) was very friendly and gave me all the information I needed to have for finding the waiting room and he called me on my phone when my car was ready to go. I even had an opportunity to visit with Chris Digby, the salesman who sold me my car over a year ago.

I just bought a used vehicle from First Texas Honda and was surprised what a great experience it was. It wasn't what I had experienced at other car dealers which was more like the "used car salesman" you expect. Willie was the salesman who helped me and he was a true professional. His only concern was to help me find the right vehicle. He didn't rush me or pressure me to buy. He followed up days after the sale to check on the car and let me know he was there for me if I needed anything else. I would highly recommend First Texas Honda to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

We bought a 2016 HR-V from First Texas Honda a couple of years ago and was out looking to add another Honda. My previous sales person was no longer there so I was contacted by AJ Cannon. I didn't have a great experience with the whole sales process on the HR-V so I contacted all nearby Honda dealerships. Although I had never met AJ he was extremely knowledgeable and the most responsive of all so I decided to come in and meet him and take a look at the car we had been discussing by email. I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and how he had everything lined up including the two color trims I had been debating. We talked numbers and I was very happy to see he made sure I was getting the best possible deal and taking advantage of all the summer clearance specials. I walked out with a new 2018 Honda Accord and can say this time around everything went very smoothly even closing with the financial manager who was also great (I believe his name was Art). It was truly a pleasure working with AJ Cannon and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a new Honda. He made the whole new car experience very enjoyable and his professionalism and knowledge really shined. Thanks AJ and First Texas Honda!

What can I say. This is my 2nd Honda with this dealership and I keep coming back because of the GREAT service! First Texas Honda just gets it! Sean was at my car door before I got out of my car. He was friendly, professional and explained all that this old lady needed to know. The price was right and they didn't try to sell a service I didn't need. I got a call quickly and Sean explained everything they did. You can not go wrong with this dealership!

We brought in our car for service and we were provided a loaner car while the car issue was being diagnosed.
Chris Buchanan communicated to us the root cause of the problem and also contacted Honda so our car could be repaired under warranty.
The repair was done within 2 days and we didn't loose any work day with the loaner car.

Overall, it was a great experience. Sean was incredibly helpful, prompt, and nice. However, dropoff was a bit of a disappointment. I sat around for a while, unsure about what to do or where to go....it could have been that the weather was sort of gross so I wasn't in the mood for standing around....but a little assistance sooner would have been appreciated. Eventually it all worked out, but the only reason its not 5 stars is because I was so confused during dropoff.

I must rave about my experience with Christian Mancheno!! Before I came to see him, I went to another dealership where I spent 7 hours trying to get a vehicle. It was long and painful. I spoke to Christian who invited me to come see him the next day. It was smooth sailing from there. He paid extra close attention to what it was exactly that I needed and made it happen. Quick, simple, knowledgeable and 2 hours later I owned my Honda CRV!!! I'm so happy with my car! All my needs were met and all I had to do was relax and enjoy their pastries. I had been searching for a specific type of used car for several months and found car competitively priced on one of the online car sites (Carfax, Autotrader etc..-don't remember which one). Definitely recommend Vince and the entire team.

Location is very easy to get to. It's well marked and visible as you drive up. The service center is huge. I had Ray Wyland work on my vehicle. He's absolutely the best.
He's a certified master technician.
More so, he takes exceptional care when working on a vehicle. I'm very pleased with the after market add-ons that he added.
I like that he treats vehicles as his own and is meticulous about how he goes about the work.
He fixed some issues that were caused by poor, non-certified work.
Ask for Ray if you ever get service done it's well worth it.

Alex Herrera helped us from start to finish making sure we were very taken care of. Exceptional customer service. We came into the dealership knowing exactly what we wanted and he never tried to steer us in a different direction or pressure us into anything we were uncomfortable with.
Art Ponce helped us with getting a loan and he was very professional, kind and to the point (which I appreciate) No pressure and he even let us take the car for the weekend even though we had trouble pulling out our full down payment. What a guy!
The location is phenomenal and my wife and I always will bring our car back here to be maintained because of the fantastic amenities provided at this location.

The First Texas Honda dealership is top notch!
Not only were they the lowest price around, their approach is exactly the way business should be done. There was no pressure, no up selling of items or warranties I didn't need.
Every step and aspect of my purchase felt honest and comfortable. My sales rep John Pasho was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and not pushy.
The after market sales rep Stephanie sold me exactly what I wanted and was understanding when I passed on some options...(which I then changed my mind and added on accessories even after we had completed our part of the deal)
And the financial/business manager Micheal was honest and sold me the warranty that fit my personal situation taking off certain options that would not have been beneficial in my case.
Overall the experience was perfect-I drove away completely satisfied.
And now as I drive around town I notice that 9 out of every 10 Hondas I see on the roads have the First Texas Honda license plate cover.
It shows when you are the best.
And these people are the best... Hondas are AWESOME!

We had a great experience buying our new CR-V from Baha at First Texas Honda. I called at 7:00pm and was told that they close at 8. They connected me with Baha, a sales consultant, who assured me he could get us in a CR-V right away. Although I was a bit skeptical that it could be done so quickly (having spent several hours at another dealership), I told him we would be there by 7:30. From the minute we arrived my wife Marsha and I walked through all the details and drove off in our new CR-V just a few minutes after 9 o'clock!
We were not only satisfied with the car, the price and the relaxed process, Baha made it actually enjoyable. Also, Manny, our finance officer, was equally friendly, getting a whole lot of paper work finalized in record time--with no pressure, and no up-sell.
First Texas Honda has a great reputation here in Austin, but it really always comes down to the people-to-people interactions and the sense of helpfulness and people connection that you can feel.
If you've studied the car you want, and you have an idea about the average price you should pay in the current market--and you're ready to go in and make a good deal--we would recommend that you call Baha first before you do anything else. If we ever buy another Honda, Baha is the guy we'll call first. He's a good guy, and he's got it down!

Staff was friendly and helpful while I had an oil change/safety recall done. They also lent me a "loaner car" because the wait for my oil change was over two hours so I was able to have an extended test drive of the HRV while I ran errands! Prices were good, a bit more than I'd pay at a quick oil change place, but for the quality of service, loaner car, and free coffee bar, FTH can't be beat!

Tough start to the day when you have a flat and have to miss work. But I brought it in, they gave me pricing and the procedure first thing. They even had RT shuttle service to get me to work. Ask for Kevin when you're there, he is magnificent. There was a mix up on my service and delay in the shuttle and Kevin went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of and happy. Thank you for your help and making a rough day a little better

Very pleasant experience. Website showed lots of choices and reasonable prices that we could live with and that was what brought us to First Texas Honda. When we came to the showroom, we were greeted and helped right away. Andy did an excellent job of explaining how the pricing was done and what options were available not only for our new vehicle but also for financing. Joe and the other folks that helped us that day were al very courteous, professional and above all.......not pushy. If we ever expressed that we did not want an option or indicated what our preferences were, everyone immediately did what they could to respect our decisions. That makes for a great experience! Honda makes a great product and Beverly and I don't need to be sold on the product, so the dealer really makes the difference for us and First Texas Honda will definitely get our business when Beverly buys her next new Honda!

Everyone went above and beyond to help me when I had an unexpected and very expensive issue come up due to me getting my car serviced somewhere else. They did what they could to work with me on the cost, got me a loaner car and had my car ready in a very quick manner. One more reason I have always trusted First Texas Honda and will continue to only buy from them and have them service my vehicles.

Ivan and the rest of the team handled my warranty battery replacement quickly, in a friendly way, and safely - I was apprehensive about waiting in a public place for up to 2 hours because I'm really high risk of complications if I were to contract Covid, but everyone was wearing masks and taking precautions. And the waiting room tables were very far apart. I was really impressed. Another great experience at First Texas. Thank you.

Jackie Wright handled my older vehicle professionally and helpfully. I couldn't have asked for better service. He is great at explaining what needs to be done, and working with you to fix your problems. The facility itself is top-notch, with free drinks and snacks, as well as comfy chairs and wi-fi access. The shuttle service offered for free allowed me to get my car without having to take the bus or beg a friend for a ride.

Update: Let me preface by saying that Jack Wright was professional throughout every interaction I had with him, and he was a pleasure to deal with, every time. He gets them an extra star by himself. Unfortunately, I had a major issue with this business, and I no longer do business with them.

I dropped my car off with them and was given a complimentary loaner car while they tried to diagnose the problem. They apologized that they wouldn't be able to get to my car for a while, but I did not mind, since I was happy to be driving one of their loaners. It would have been a nice perk, except that when I finally received my car back (about 2 weeks later), I noticed that the paint on the hood looked ruined.

I asked to speak to a manager, since I was sure that my car didn't enter the shop with such prominent paint defects. The manager I spoke with assured me that they marked those sorts of things down during vehicle intake, so we could check the intake form to confirm it had the damage when it entered.

Lo and behold, the manager checked the intake form, and no damage was listed. He backpedaled and said that they aren't always filled out fully, and when I asked to be sent a copy of the form (I planned to potentially file a lawsuit, and I needed proof), he claimed that it had been deleted, since I picked up my car. It was incredibly shady, and I had absolutely no way of proving that the damage hadn't been incurred while it was in First Texas' possession. It was my word against theirs, and the evidence that showed I was truthful was deleted.

Furthermore, this manager told me that Honda Civics like mine were prone to have paint issues, and that it was normal, which is why it couldn't have been their fault. Even if this were true (not a great look for Honda), whatever was done to my car over the course of two weeks was not merely natural wear and tear. You don't lose major swaths of paint in two weeks, suddenly.

To say that I was disappointed with First Texas is an understatement. They had a repeat customer on their hands, and I was prepared to continue seeing Jack until he retired. However, when it came time for me to buy a new Honda this past February, I drove farther from my house to go to Howdy Honda, just to avoid the slimy feeling I had last time I interacted with First Texas.

Since then, I have been back on an emergency occasion, unfortunately. And I noticed that they now walk around the car taking photos during intake. I wondered if they changed their policy, once they had successfully made my problem go away, using their lies. They likely didn't want someone more litigious than me experiencing the same issue, and making them pay for their damage. I won't be able to make my car whole again, but by taking the time to write this review, at least I will be able to warn others.

See Photos: The entire "sheen" of my paint was gone from the middle of my hood. A large patch of what looks like corrosion right down the middle was present. There was also a large scratch to the right of the corroded spot. When I brought my car in, none of the corrosion was present, and there was no large scratch. It looks like something abrasive was rubbed vigorously on the hood of my car, and it does not match the shiny paint job present on the rest of the car, which you can see towards the outer edges of my hood.

No issues about 1 year prior.
