Fast and easy process for drop-off and loaner pick-up.

I am from Albuquerque and my Honda CRV was troubling me so I came to First Texas Honda and my service rep was Tim Macintosh. I think he is a credit to this Honda Service Center. He spent time in understanding the problem and did everything possible to fix the issue. He did go an extra mile by doing test ride to understand and fix the issues.

I would recommend this dealership to everyone who needs car maintenance with excellent customer service. I enjoyed the coffee shop while they were working on my car. Great customer service. I wish had this kind of service in Albuquerque, NM.

A J Cuevas provided great customer service during my most recent visit to First Texas Honda. He was courteous & efficient. He even provided me with the status of the work a couple of times, while I waited. I also appreciated the service provided by the young man who checked me in when I drove up to the service bay. The team at First Texas Honda are always spot on. They have taken care of my Honda Pilot since I purchased it in 2011 and have always done a fantastic job.

Bought a car from them, and brought it back in for accessories. Great dealership. They assist you as soon as you walk in. Free coffee and snack bar, foozball + ping pong when you get bored.

My sales people were Jared Robinson and Greg Powell - shout out to them both for going above and beyond, always being courteous, and knowing their stuff.

Michael Broderick, their manager, was also very pleasant to work with. Made the financing process a breeze.

McKenna/Trudy/Carlos in accessories kept me informed, and I was back in my Type R before I got too sad driving my brand new Accord loaner (I know, first world problems).

The dealership communicated frequently to let me know when I could expect to receive the HRV I wanted to purchase. John Pascho and his coworkers were knowledgeable and very easy to work with.

Marty Rex and the service advisors at First Texas Honda are top notch. My Honda Accord has racked up 50K miles in two years but still runs like the first day I got it.

Bought a 2013 Honda Accord here. Seller was knowledgeable and the financing offered here was quite competitive (1.9% APR).

They seem to care quite a bit about customer experience as well.

The process of buying a car does seem unusually lengthy though. Took me 3-4 hours to get a new car. Went there on Friday at 7pm to buy and took it for a test drive then and saw what they had. So that was an hour. Since they close at 8pm and weren't gonna stay open late for me (although they did for a friend of mine, go figure) I came back on Saturday and spent an additional few hours for the trade-in of my old car and signing all the paper work and all that jazz.

Also, fwiw, they accepted a personal check as down payment for me. Not all dealerships will do that.

If you want to receive a vehicle with hidden damages, which lie to your face, do not receive follow-up to your case by management, come to this dealership.

Haven't been for anything super serious, but I get my state inspection here for my HRV that I got out of state. Price is reasonable, service is good, free wiper fluid, free. Full service espresso bar while you wait. Occasional live music. Free wifi. All in all, this makes going for maintenance an enjoyable experience instead of a pain.

They also do a good job of informing what's going on. Plenty of explication and follow up. If you drive a Honda, get it serviced here!

Update: Been coming here for three years. I just reviewed my paperwork and found an "interesting" phenomenon.

My previous service was at 20k miles, and this one at 27k. at 20k they replaced the pollen filter, and at 27 they replaced the pollen filter and filter element. A quick google search shows that 7k mi is NOT an appropriate amount of time between pollen filters. There's $60 I got talked into that I likely didn't need.

At 27k miles they replaced the transmission fluid, despite that light not being lit (via Maintenance Minder) when I took the car in. Meh, internet says it's needed every 30kish miles, but still seems slightly disingenuous that it wasn't posed as ahead of time.

The real kicker is that I've been "recommended" an engine sludge cleanup for my next visit. Some quick searches show this as completely unnecessary for cars that have their oil regularly changed. It is also not mentioned in the Owners manual as recommended maintenance. Definitely going to push back on this one next time my light comes on.

So, given that some of this newfound enlightenment, am I going to keep going to Texas First? Probably, the staff is friendly, the car hasn't broken, and they 'do' still have free espresso. But I'm going to be a little more careful. Apparently most dealer maintenance shops are paid on commission, and will try to up-sell you to get maintenance ahead of time or before you actually need it. This has already cost me at least $60, assuming the other maintenance work they've done was necessary (rear differential fluid, brake fluid, and transmission fluid), and I'm just going to be a little more careful moving forward.

Four stars, still recommend, but pay attention to you maintenance schedule (or the lights that come on for Honda Maintenance Minder, there's a reference in the owner's manual) to make sure you're not being up-sold on maintenance you don't need. Additionally, apparently the service folks get a failing grade if you give them anything under 5 stars on the official survey. That, along with the commission-style seeming approach, shows fairly poor management that I'll be keeping an eye on in the future, but it's not enough to make me stop going.

Also this time I didn't get a complementary car wash >:(

Jay my service advisor, Billy the wonderful mechanic along with service manager worked diligently to ensure my old Accord ran wonderfully. They treated me tremendous respect and went out of their way to keep me informed on the progress of my vehicle. The price was more than fair and the service was outstanding. I was very impressed and thankful for their personalized service

Amanda was helpful when we bought a used car. She followed up afterwards by calling the previous car owner to locate a spare key for the car. She also gave me some helpful contacts and internet links.

I needed an oil change, tire rotation, filters changed out, and tail light replaced...walk in customer at 1pm out by 2pm...and a free car wash. Everyone was very helpful, informative, and friendly. Everything in life should be this simple, efficient, and extra perks.

Great customer service. Will match many quotes from other mechanics. They want your service and are very helpful. They can't, however, match prices to purchasing vehicles on Craigslist (surprise, surprise). They need a profit when it comes to selling vehicles so it is generally advantageous to purchase a used vehicle outside of a dealership in general. But I would trust First Texas Honda more than most. Great place!

I was so disappointed in my experience with First Texas Honda. From the moment I pulled into the service department for my 11:15 scheduled appointment (and wasn't helped until 11:37), to them not honoring my free rental car reservation sent to me by them, to about $280 in extra services I did not agree to, I was unimpressed at best. When I went to pick up my car they told me my service advisor was "somewhere around here" and suggested I "keep an eye out" for him. A man walked in five minutes later looking for the same service advisor to pick up his car and I watched as the staff jumped up and found the advisor for him and escorted him into his office right in front of me. Howdy Honda soooooo much better!!

The service was prompt and courteous. The service manager was polite and courteous.

For the two years I've been bringing my car here (that I bought here as well), I've never had any issues with service what so ever. All the staff I've interacted with is friendly and knowledgeable, and will always assist me in what ever I need. Also, pretty decent coffee bar for when you get your service done here.

I dropped by just change the engine oil but advisor tried me a diagnostic test for my car. It cost $150, results next day. That's ok because I want to know my car problem. Once I got the result by email, I all declined the repair here because my car current value is $5000 but repair cost over $6000! Even their result is not correct. They texted me your car is ready. But I don't know why they didn't show up. It takes about 1hour later, appeared and proceeded to pay but total cost is different from when advisor said first. Oil change $45 + diagnostic test $150 = should be around $200 but they charged $22 for miscellaneous!!! I am not going to come back even I'm not going to recommend anyone. Total takes 2 hour for just return my key!!

On his day off, Armando helped me out and gave me a good quote too.
I will be going back to these guys in few weeks to get the trailer hitch installed.

I worked closely with Jesse buying a mini van, he took such great care of us! He went over and beyond in many different areas and treated us like we were special clients. He was accessible, warm, knowledgeable, and service oriented. I highly recommend him! We also love this dealership because they are very client focused and provide spaces for you as you wait that are above and beyond what other dealerships offer. They have a fun kids area, an amazing coffee bar, and room to enjoy your coffee and snacks. They were attentive and want to make you have the best experience. And we love our van!! It was an awesome experience.

Bought a 2014 Accord here (great decision)

I brought in my previous Accord and I was given a very reasonable trade-in value for it. The thing I liked the most about this dealership was that they start with their price dropped to as low as they'll go, so you don't have to worry about playing any of the typical purchasing games. When I evaluated their pricing through independent services, they consistently came up as "fair" to "good" for the market value. so it's the way to go if you want to buy a new or used Honda. Also, their facilities are pretty impressive and I liked their staff.

They were so great at helping me. Service was friendly and quick and this is why I tell people to come to this Honda.

A truly enjoyable experience. Their fast, fair and friendly is true. I worked with only one person, no smoke & mirrors or hocus-pocus. This is what buying a car should really be like. Everything was clear and had zero fear in anything they said or did.

There is a warmth and/or family feeling you get just walking in the store. Much like a small "mom & pop" business that you just know, they have the customers best interest first.

This is the 2nd car I have purchased from 1st Texas and I drive from Houston to do so.

Fred, my service advisor, was absolutely wonderful. I felt he took extra steps to help me feel safe from the time I arrived until I walked out the door. He was careful to explain what my car needed and went over everything again before I left. Fred also took care in sanitizing my car's surfaces that were touched. I was quite satisfied with the ecperience.

My boyfriend bought his first car here and we had a great experience. Baha met us outside and greeted us warmly. They have an amazing coffee bar that is really nice when you re waiting for any paperwork and things but honestly the whole process of car buying was very fast and orderly. Baha helped get my boyfriend in the right priced car with all the features he wanted and more. I can t reccomend this place enough!

My car is not braking properly and I drove it in for service this morning. It took almost 15 minutes for anyone to speak to me, and then I was told I needed to schedule an appointment because they were "too busy today." How am I supposed to schedule a malfunction of my car in advance???!!!! This is not the first time I've had problems (my last routine service appointment took two days). I'm buying a new car this year, and it won't be from First Texas Honda. Assuming my brakes don't fail on the way home today.

In the past I have had terrible experiences with Honda dealers. I have tried to buy cars from them (3 total) but they were so "snotty" that I got frustrated and left to buy a Toyota, a VW, and a Dodge. I went to First Texas Honda last week expecting to leave and go buy another Toyota. I was shocked. They were awesome! Especially Mona Salman, Vince Lilly, and Bill Ford. They gave me a straight deal with no fooling around. I couldn't have been more pleased. My best car buying experience to date and I finally got the car I wanted. The Honda Clarity has to be the best hybrid around! I've averaged 75mpg so far!!!

There was a 2 hour wait time to get my oil changed but I really appreciated being told this upfront. I was able to get a loaner car so that I could carry on with my planned activities instead of being forced to just sit and wait. It's also nice to be able to get a nice chai latte and some snacks while you wait. Thanks DJ for excellent service.

Great sales experience. Easy in and out with a new 2015 Honda Odyssey. The "no haggle" price really is no haggle...they shut me down when I tried to get a few hundred more off the price. Just keep an eye on the car you want and the longer it sits in inventory, the lower the price goes. They do make you sit through the accessories talk, but there was no pressure to purchase anything.

Will happily purchase from First Texas Honda again, and plan on using them for all my service needs in the future.

The service department is filled with great people. They can get busy, but everyone was friendly and they often offer a free loaner car if there is a longer wait. They also have free coffee, snacks, and other drinks along with free wifi so you can work a bit while you wait. They offer competitive pricing and a bunch of perks. Check them out and make an appointment ahead of time if you are short on time.

Service provided was excellent. The service representative AJ was very nice, polite and completed the job as promised. Did not push me for any other service that they found needed on the car very happy overall

Everything about the experiences made me wonder why I had ever owned anything but a Honda. My appointment was at 9:45 and at 9:45 they took my car back. They told me it would be 1:45 and almost to the minute my car was ready. Being able to order a drink of your choosing was especially nice since I hadn t had my morning coffee. My service representative checked in periodically and gave me updates. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.

I took my civic for oil change and inspection and left with a 2017 HRV! Aaron Garcia and Attila Kun are amazing! They are very helpful, friendly and really understood my budget. Every time i walk in, there is always someone ready to help me or offer me coffee (or tea) from the coffee bar. Even if you are not thinking about buying a car, just go for the coffee!!! :) THE BEST PLACE TO BUY A CAR!

Our experience with First Texas Honda was Excellent. Winthrop Ellsworth was without question fantastic to work with. Winthrop answered all our questions and concerns on our new Honda Civic. It is wonderful to have a person that is caring individual and knowledgeable.

We have purchased several cars over the years. I have to say I hate car shopping. However, from the time we went into the show room until we purchased our car was great! We really liked working with just one person the whole way through the process. The No Hassel price was wonderful. Most places you have to go back and forth over the price with an office person you have never even seen before not First Texas Honda, and the price for our new Honda Civic was below comparable prices elsewhere.

We love our new car! I will not go anywhere else from now on. I am sold. I ll be back for the next car we need! I would recommend First Texas Honda to any family, friends and even coworkers. Easy, Fast, Stress-free. Professional, customer-friendly and service oriented

It's never good news when your car needs a big repair, but I came out of the other end of it feeling well taken care of. We are long-time customers of First Texas Honda. Jack was very helpful. From getting my appointment scheduled to communicating the inspection results and discussing the service options, he was very professional.

Given the mixed online reviews I was hesitant to visit First Texas Honda. However, my workplace has an employee pricing program and First Texas came back with the most competitive quote so I figured why not at least visit, take a test drive, and see what they can do for me in terms of financing - so glad I did! I'd already been to Round Rock Honda and Howdy Honda and had done my homework on the two vehicles I was considering (the 2014 Accord or 2014 Civic) but had yet to test drive the 2014 Accord. Jerome was the Product Specialist I met with and he was excellent to work with. Jerome pulled up the inventory and found the exact car I was looking for color and all and we took it for a test drive. Upon returning to the dealership Jerome and I worked with Jeanne on financing options and she and I went for a test drive in my 1999 Accord that I intended to trade in (neat to be in on the assessment process). First Texas gave me what I felt was a fair value for my trade in, a great price for the new 2014 Accord, and financing that fit my family's needs. I test drove the car on a Tuesday and ended up purchasing on Thursday, in between Jerome followed up (but wasn't pushy) to answer a few questions I had and he assisted me to put a deposit down once I decided to move forward with the purchase. When my husband and I went to First Texas to finalize the paperwork and get the new car everything was ready to go, the process was quick and easy, and they even topped off my gas tank upon leaving. Even after the sale Jerome has been in touch to answer a few questions I had after having driven the car a bit. Some people really like to haggle and negotiate when buying a car, I'm not one of those people and appreciated that the price was set (which was discounted by the way) when I walked in the door. Overall we felt that First Texas valued our time and had a wonderful experience.

Had a mystery problem with major water on the passenger side carpet floor only. Josh and crew spent all day looking for a leak and found it in the moon roof drains. They unclogged the drains and fixed this problem. So happy First Texas has a ride service to take you and pick you up. So helpful. Thanks

Purchased a new set of tires. This is the second set of tires I have purchased here because First Texas Honda is competively priced. The tire specialist also informed me of a $70 rebate I was unaware of. I also had a state inspection done.

I also like that First Texas Honda never tries to sell you some add on service you've never heard of, and don't need, like the tire shops alway try. The service rep called me to tell that although I didn't need it to pass inspection, the technician recommended chaning out my wiper inserts. I was aware of this problem and agreed. Their mult-point inspection also informed me that I will be needing to do my front brakes before long, but not now.

It was Saturday and was going to be a long wait for service so they put me in a very nice, new, Accord, loaner from their rental department. The job was completed too late in the afternoon for me to return because of previous plans, but there was no problem with returning it the next morning to pick up my car.

I have been using First Texas Honda service department for over 25 years. I learned early on, with my first Honda, that if I really wanted to save money, take it to First Texas Honda. Any time I thought I was saving money by going to another shop, I usually had to repeat the job within a year. Since then, I have always used FTH, and they take great care of me.

Andre was there waiting for my drop off, even though I was 10 minutes early. Had the check-in all wrapped up in short order and set up a ride to work; the ride was already there before I could even get a free coffee. He kept in touch on the status and had it ready for me when I wanted to pick it up. Excellent.

I had a fantastic experience of buying a new Honda Accord 2020 with First Texas Honda. I bought the car few weeks back and in these times of COVID pandemic i was very much insistent on a completely "CONTACTLESS" experience. I did my entire transaction without ever visiting the dealership once and neither doing a test drive. This was all possible due to the excellent co-operation from Sales Performance Manager Bill Ford and Product Specialist Baha Yildrim, who worked with me on this throughout the entire process

I did my price negotiations with Bill over email. I was also going to trade-in my older Honda accord and since i could not take it over to the dealership for them to take a look, i instead send them pictures along with some details about maintenance and condition of the car and Bill was able to come up with a "sight unseen" price for the trade-in (subject to finalizing when they could come to pick it up and actually look at it and test drive it) and this was factored into my final OTD price on the car which we agreed upon through email.

After we agreed on a price, Baha contacted me and set up time for video call with himself and Finance in order to complete all the paperwork and money transaction. The video call went very smoothly where the finance manager explained me all my options and i settled down on a package that worked for me. Once the video call was done and paperwork signed, Baha then took the car for tinting (i had paid extra to get it tinted) and detailing and 3 hours later he was outside my house with the new car. He dropped off some more paperwork outside my front door since it needed wet signature and also picked my old Honda accord keys that i had put outside the door to check out my old vehicle. While he was doing that, i took the papers inside the house, signed them and put them back outside the door and texted Baha that paperwork was done. Baha gave me the green signal that my older vehicle checked out fine and he had dropped off the keys to my new car outside the door, thanked me for the purchase and let me know to contact him for any questions that might come up as i started to drive my new car.

Afterwards Baha also sent me a link to Honda link where there were videos on all the features on my new car.

All in all i achieved 100% CONTACTLESS TRANSACTION LIKE I HAD WANTED in these COVID times and was only possible due to the excellent staff at First Texas Honda namely Bill Ford and Baha Yildrim.

I would highly recommend this Honda dealership for anyone interested in buying a Honda.
