Updated to say they are compliant--everyone wore masks and kept the appropriate distance. They've moved the service desks out into part of the showroom, with a lot of space in between. The refreshments bar has distance markers, and the barista wore a mask and gloves. In addition to my oil change, I ordered new floormats, so the charge was added to my invoice. Ty in service took it off and said I shouldn't be charged till I pick them up. That was nice.

A lot of people say not to go to the dealership for oil changes and other maintenance. But I only go to First Texas Honda for mine. They always do great work, with top-notch guaranteed service, and their prices are reasonable (OK, on the high end of reasonable). Plus their customer lounge, with free refreshments and wi-fi, is a nice place to work or relax while you wait. Quick lube places might be cheaper for an oil change, but add a latte, snacks, and car wash (all free here), and it's about even. Plus it's just a much nicer, quieter place. On Saturdays they have an amazing classical guitarist playing in the showroom. Their service dept is even open on Sundays. And one time when they were running behind on my oil change, they let me know and offered a free loaner so I wouldn't miss my gym class. So I'm pretty happy.

Fred Mathis in service is especially wonderful and gave me a card so I can call him direct next time. He did a great job of explaining the maintenance my car needed this time, which things could wait a bit longer if necessary, and what it might need in the near future so I can plan accordingly.

Original purchase review in 2015: Kyle Bartlett went above & beyond, every step of the way! On my first visit, the exact trim model I wanted wasn't in stock. He chased down some paperwork showing what was coming, and found one that would soon be here. He called me as soon as it got in, and kept in touch. I had a slightly unusual situation and had hit a snag. I thought I'd have to just forget it for now, but Kyle presented a couple other options and made it happen. And made it easy! First Texas Honda also provided top-notch service on my old CR-V, so I'm sure they'll continue to do so with my new Crosstour. Also gotta say Trudy in service is partly responsible for my purchase. The last time I had my CR-V in for repair, I told her I was seriously thinking about buying a Crosstour. Right then, she switched my Civic loaner to a Crosstour. I drove it for 2 days and it clinched the sale!

I have had a couple bad service advisors HOWEVER both Jay and Sean in the service department were excellent. They made sure to explain everything happening with my vehicle while in the shop and kept on top of the status of my repairs. I will definitely go back to them if I need service in the future. They made it a very easy and efficient process which is so important in this hustle and bustle world.

Buying a car, especially as a single woman, can be...

Buying a car, especially as a single woman, can be an extremely daunting task. That was absolutely not the case when I went to First Texas Honda this weekend. I have been wanting to trade in a car that I have been leasing because it was just a touch too small and decided to just go for it. I was paired up with Steve Carter and I knew as soon as I met him that it was a good match. He was friendly and funny and awesome to work with. We chatted about his multiple bands and doing what you love.

I knew that there would be some negative equity on my current lease and I went to First Texas with no expectations on leaving with a vehicle. Steve and I had a quick chat and then he had his manager, Winthrop, come by and test out the Civic that I was interested in trading in. He was fun to chat with, too. They decided that they would love to buy out my current lease, which still left me with some negative equity, and help me look into my options. I knew they had a Certified Used 2014 Honda that looked nice so I test drove it. I thought, this will do, and said they could start on the paperwork. My bank had made me a loan offer, which I told Steve, and he said "well, it won't hurt to check you options with our banks" So, we did. Honda blew my bank's offer out of the water and not only was I approved to get a car, it was a new 2015 Civic with 5 miles on it. On top of that, the payments only went up by a fraction, which was surprising considering I had negative equity, no downpayment, and I was buying instead of leasing. On top of that, signing all of the paperwork was a breeze, thanks to Chris Dugas.

Overall, this was an incredible experience and I will definitely be referring friends and family. I look forward to maintenance visits so that I can hang out at the free coffee bar :)

Every time I go to First Texas Honda I feel welcome and I know that I will be taken care of.
Recently I had the pleasure to work with Chris Sutton. Chris went above and beyond to make sure that I had a pleasant experience.
Chris kept me updated while I patiently waited for my vehicle to be serviced.
When I picked up my vehicle Chris took extra time to help me set up my new radio/Google car play.
I appreciate Chris and his efforts to provide awesome customer service!

Great service! Very easy and they make it easy to get a rental car even for oil changes so you can drop off and pickup later instead of waiting! They also have a big cafe where everything is complimentary! Definitely will be going back when my car needs service to First Texas Honda!

Dealership very clean, open, inviting, and all COVID precautions observed. Only knock is that Honda didn't modify deal policies during COVID shutdown. No 0% or 3-month deferments offered.

This was my first car buying experience. Needless to say, I was more than a little nervous. I had heard horror stories of all the trips car dealerships tried to pull. These guys were awesome! They explained everything very clearly and made me feel extremely comfortable (especially so considering I was there all by myself). I feel like I got a really great deal for a really great car!

First Texas Honda service was fabulous with prompt attention, sincere service and optimal recommendations. The service person, Andre was very polite, and clearly explained what is needed and did a timely job on the vehicle. I could feel the Honda CRV drive much smoother after the service. The only suggestion is to avoid the third party tire guy asking me to change the tires, even though mine had only 26,000 miles on a 60,000 miles tires with no obvious wear and tear. Otherwise, great service and I highly recommend this place. Thanks.

I called to schedule a service appointment only to find out they no longer offered a shuttle service to home or work. I complained as that does not work with my life unless a time can be guaranteed. As a curtosey they offered me a loaner free of charge so I could continue with my day. The service tech advised they are coming up with a solution to the lack of shuttle service. I said to myself well I guess I ll be going to Howdy Honda until they do.........
However when I arrived for my service staff greeted me by name and the process was super smooth as the dealership is taking advantage of the newest technology. My Service advisor Chris Buchanan was warm and friendly and made the appointment easy and enjoyable. I received a text to advise how to contact staff at the dealer that included important times and service info. Chris would contact me and advise of other service needs and walked me through what can sometimes be a complicated process. I say all this to say due to the service provided by Chris and others on duty today, I think I will stick with Steck Honda despite the lack of shuttle. They have made up for it with superior customer service.

Lute Riley Honda in Richardson sent wife and I on a trip to Austin with a defective tire telling us "everything is just fine and safe for the trip" The low air pressure alerted on the way. First Texas got the tire warrenty people to replace the tire with the two inch slit on the side for free which should have happened earlier. And they replaced defective screws on the tail pipe which was hanging by a thread. Thanks First Texas Honda. Driving back to Dallas, the low tire pressure alarm came on again. Back in Dallas David McDavid replaced a secon tire with a slash in it and totally rebooted the tire pressure system. Sorry First Texas. You were helpful, but did not solve the original problems.

I purchased a battery for my 2014 Honda Accord for...

I purchased a battery for my 2014 Honda Accord for $178. About twice the price I would pay anywhere else.
Brought my car in a month later for an oil change, where the gentleman taking my info looked under the hood and was laughing. He stated I put the battery mount on upside down when I installed the battery. That I bent the mount, the J-hooks were not in correctly and I will need another battery mount.
I made him aware that I purchased and had the battery installed (HERE), at First Tx Honda, suddenly his smile went away. I asked to talk to a manager, I was informed they only had one today because one quit and another was fired TODAY. After waiting over 3 (yes three hours for the manager, several cups of coffee and visited all autos in showroom -thoroughly), the gentleman at the counter said the manager will give me a call tomorrow.
Well, its been two months and no call.

Our time spent with Courtney Audain and at First Texas Honda was great. My wife and I had been shopping around for a few types of vehicles at several dealerships before we decided we wanted an Odyssey. Some of those dealerships were poor and some were pretty good. Our experience at First Texas Honda was so much better that it would be like comparing apples and oranges. The haggle free policy alone takes most of the headaches and second-guessing out of the equation. Courtney was informative, friendly, and someone we didn't mind spending hours and hours with. With Courtney, we didn't need to know what questions to ask. His experience and familiarity with Honda was obvious.

Thank you so much for everything. I will return when it's time for us to purchase a new vehicle. First Texas Honda has ruined all other dealerships for me!

Ross, Matt and Mike were amazing!! I have never felt so at home at a dealership. Not pushy or in your face. When my son went to drive the car of his choice, Ross took the time to really tell him about the car. Where the buttons and signals were and how to adjust the steering wheel and seats, not just toss him the keys like the other guys!! Matt really went over the options of financing with my son (his first car) so that he could really understand the difference between a lease and purchase and the benefits to both. Then Mike took it from there and really did an amazing job with the paperwork. All of you guys deserve a raise!!! Thanks again and we will see you next time.

As a supervisor over a call center, I am constantly encouraging my employees that providing customer service is only the bare minimum. What is necessary in today's age of integrated systems and information is to focus on a customer's experience as a whole, and to ensure that the experience is seamless and streamlined enough to support that customer through the entire process. Never have I experienced this form of service executed so perfectly as in my most recent dealing with First Texas Honda.

During my only week off volunteering downtown out of the whole year, my 3-year old Honda Accord suddenly would not start before my assigned shift one morning, after having run perfectly for 6 months after purchase. Exasperated and dismayed at the timing of the event, I called First Texas Honda to evaluate the situation. Right away, my contact in their Service department, Paul, diagnosed the matter as a battery failure, describing the exact symptoms of what occurred when attempting to start the car, as if he was standing right next to me. Almost as though he could read my mind, Paul explained that batteries older than 2 or 3 years could die like this under Texas conditions, even at such a young age.

Sensing the frustration in my voice, Paul could tell that, for me, this was a "personal" emergency. With no one to help me jump my Accord, and no desire to search around town for a working battery to install myself, Paul offered to send a service member to jump it for me all the way from the dealership! Upon reaching their service area, a valet that was already waiting for me to arrive confirmed that I only wanted their battery installation, the exact cost I would end up paying, and the time frame of about 1 hour or so to complete the installation.

All of these expectations - the courtesy offer of a technician, the time frame, and the cost of the repairs - were met exactly as stated. But First Texas Honda is well-known for their transparency of information already, as a no-haggle dealership. What is not so well known is their genuine concern for your issues, their drive to meet your needs to the furthest extents, and the execution of their promises.

Something that I thought would take me most of the day ended up only delaying me for less than 2 hours - by then, I was back on the road in my Accord and on the way to my event. If it wasn't for First Texas Honda, this would have never happened. I am so grateful to have had my best Customer Experience through this dealership, and it has guaranteed my future business with them for years to come.

I LOVE my new 2016 Civic EX-L!!! I was downsizing and thought I would have to give up so much luxury, coming from a luxury vehicle. Wow, was I mistaken!!!

The new 2016 Civic is ranked Car of The Year. The design is luxurious and edgy and it has all the options such as moon roof, electric driver's seat, bluetooth activated phone, you name it, plus Google Play (can text by voice, and much more) and it even has rear-view monitor and even a monitor that shows all side and rear traffic on the right side of the car, so you don't have to do a full head turn, when turning on the right turn signal (love that)!

I get at least 33 mpg in the city and this is from a Turbo-charged engine! You will be surprised when driving it in Sport mode just how much power is delivered to the wheels! Also, there is an electronic e-brake for hills (too cool!) and a capless gas tank!

The best part is my salesman, Winthrop, and General Manager, Allen Clauss! They gave me an Excellent deal on my trade and new car! We trust and respect Allen so much and have purchased at least 10 cars from him in the recent past at another sister dealership. He's heading up First Texas Honda now! How great is that?! Winthrop, my salesman who also is in finance, was so friendly and has such a respectful, fun and caring demeanor and made the car deal so smooth, and got me exactly what I wanted. You can trust these guys! Bypass old-school dealerships and head to "First Texas Honda"!

Bought a new 2014 Accord Coupe. It's been okay except for a few minor issues. The factory radio has a three second Bluetooth audio delay. Honda has no firmware updates for it and refuses to fix the issue. The driver side leather seat is already tearing at the seams and they deemed this wear and tear. A leather seat shouldn't tear at the seams in three years time. Perhaps if they would use real leather and not the fake pleather. Third issue is the driver side mirror shakes. They told me this was integrated into the molding and they couldn't open it up to tighten it. Car was five days out of the three year factory warranty and they wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee to look at the radio and other issues. Kind of disappointed Honda doesn't stand behind their products anymore. The car would have been in warranty but they called me to reschedule my appointment and never let me know the warranty would be expired by the time I brought it in. I'm not sure I'll ever buy a Honda again. Time to look for a different car if they refuse to fix these minor issues with my car.

Wonderful staff and service. Aaron Yiu was my service advisor who checked all that was needed on my Odyssey for service and contacted me with price estimates. Front desk and staff always helpful and friendly. They even noticed a slow leak in my tire! You will not be disappointed!

I had my VAN oil change at First Texas Honda and right after that I stopped for gas at gas station and noticed that my back bumper paint chipped off. I immediately sent picture of paint chipped off to associate that took care my VAN and asked him to confirm whether their initial pictures have same, he replied after an hour later and it doesn't have any paint issues before oil change. It was already late night and next day I took Van to service center again and I met the manager Ceasar but he denied to accept the damage and not willing to fix the paint for the fact that I didn't check in the facility. I showed sms picture that I sent to the associate within 8 min after I took car and the paint chip off is in circle shape and there are no absolutely dent, the paint chip off is caused by their car wash brushes but still he denied and not willing to pay for the repair. I am not happy with their service and finding a way to get away to not take responsibility of their mistake.

My 2011 Fit recently developed engine problems on ...

My 2011 Fit recently developed engine problems on my drive to work last week. After consulting the owners manual I called FTH for advice because although it was still running, the maintenance and check engine lights were on and my Drive icon was blinking. I was advised not to drive it but get it towed in to get checked out. Their contracted tow company picked up my car from my office and it was assigned to Service Advisor Anthony Herrera. Anthony was very patient and responsive to my questions and concerned I was happy with my experience. He also followed up the next day to make sure I wasn't having anymore problems with my car. Although I was very pleased with Anthony, I'm knocking off 1 star because when I first attempted to call to reserve a loaner before I had my car towed in, I left 3 messages for the Transportation Department but never heard back from them. Since I was at work and was trying to negotiate getting my car towed, getting a ride to FTH to get a loaner, and getting home that day, I wished I would have received better service on that end. I did finally get connected to someone through the Service Dept. who assured they'd have a car ready for me. What would make it even better is if they'd figure out a way to deliver a loaner to me so I didn't have to leave work early or figure out a ride down to the dealership.

Just purchased a 2015 Accord, and I worked with Aaron Duboise. He was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Accord as well as being friendly and easy to work with. When discussing financing, he was able to quickly show me what different down payment amounts and loan terms would mean for the monthly payment. Also worked a little with Tyler Pelham and Chris Dugas, having a good experience with them as well.

These folks are salesmen at the end of the day, so they'll steer you towards things that will make the dealership money (extended warranties, car care packages, etc.), but they aren't pushy about it, and will even offer you a decent discount if you initially refuse something a couple of times. Just go into it with the right mindset, knowing what you do and don't want, and you'll be fine. Overall, I had a great experience and would particularly recommend Aaron Duboise.
