Annoyed with Firestone they didn't want to look at tires until the pressure light came on again, so they could find the leak easier. But my point was I don't want to find out the hard way that I have a flat. I insisted they look it's ridiculous. The point is the light comes on when I'm going to drive and usually don't have time to run to Firestone and wait for an hour. I just don't want to find out the hard way that I have a flat. Also, I had made an appointment at 1 have been sitting here a half an hour and they haven't even looked at my car!
Very slow service. Had 11 am appointment. Dropped car off at 1030 for oil change tire rotation and vehicle inspection. When asked when it would be done he said an hour or so. At 1230 I had to ask about my inspection. My understanding is the inspection should be done within the first 15 minutes or so.
Never go to this firestone ever again..got a brake check here ..I swear the guy change front and back brake rear but it making noise in the front anh when you step on brake it vibrate when going for 40/50 mph ..I would be to rate this place a big ZERO star
We moved here a year ago and had them winterize our car and the heater has never worked right since then, called and was told not possible, very rude employee. Worst place for service and honesty on work performed.

My girlfriend took her car in here to have her heat checked out and oil changed. They reply back to us that there was a giant hole in the radiator and that it would not be drive-able unless it was replaced. This, and a number of other repairs they recommended, totaled up to over $1700. The heat was only partially repaired, it does not blow on the floor still.
We picked up the car, refusing any other additional services, and drove 500 miles of the car the very next day - no issues at all. Still continue to drive almost daily for that matter.
On another note, I took my car here just a few weeks before to have new tires put on. There were a number of small issues that I was aware of on this car (leaking radiator hose, cracked CV seals, broken tie rod) that were left completely unaddressed. Yet, when my girlfriends car in in, suddenly it's no longer drive-able . . .
Would not recommend or return. Zero respect for this company.

I have had my car at this location 3 times within the past week. The first time I had the thermostat and housing replaced because it was leaking. The next time I brought it in because the check engine light came on and the code was reading thermostat, which they in turn replaced because it was stuck open. Tonight I had to once again drop my car off because this time it overheated. This is the third thermostat that has been put on my car by this location within the past week. At this point I am highly irritated and mad. I beyond being upset. I am a single mother and depend on my car to go to work. I do not understand how someone who has a diploma/degree in auto mechanics can make the same mistake 3 times.
Needed new tires for my car and Marissa was very knowledgeable with the product. She got the car in very quickly and the turn around time was faster than expected.I Use this location often for cars at my job and they continue to impress me!!

I went left my truck for a front-end alignment. They called and said it ready to be picked up. There service writer told me there best technician did the work. The technician drove the truck to check his work and eveything was correct. I did not take me 2 mins. to tell that the alignment was totally off. I would have returned to the shop but I picked the truck up at closing. Went back the next day to complain and was told they did not have the oem specifications to adjust the caster. I was lied to from the start of my dealings with this Firestone service center. There technician knew he could not do the alignment correctly but that did not stop them from charging me for the work. The service writer lied to me when he said everything was perfect when I picked up the truck. They returned my money but I should not have been charged in the first place. I feel actions like this border on fraud.

Took my car there for alignment and at first they made it worse than what it was... took it back and still not anywhere close. I won t go back there and wouldn t not recommend.
Through no fault of this store, they are understaffed from Firestone Corporate to adhere to social distancing in the work area. But they are busting hump to get everyone the service repair they need. Jim is sensational, have had many interactions with him over last several years there, he gives a darn about doing what is right for the customer.
Well organized repair place 2 me all of ur car needs pricey as well so bring big check book an patients as well.
Never again. I came back after poor experiences previously because I was told it was under new management. I had a scheduled appointment for 12:30 and was told that my oil change and tire rotation would take 2 hours. 6 hours later I call in to find out that my vehicle hasn't been touched and asked if I can leave it overnight. I took half a day off work because it is a fleet vehicle and I need it to do my job so no I cannot leave it overnight. Never again will I step foot in this location

I have been here for two hours waiting on ONE TIRE to be replaced. Because when i made the appointment for a new tire they didnt do it. Now i have to pay $91 for a new tire. Woooooowwwwwww! #ripoffs

Quality work and can't beat the prices. Synthetic oil change, tire rotation, and vehicle inspection for $55! Will continue to use Firestone in the future. In addition they are open 7 days a week which is nice for working families.
Well, let me first start off by saying this wasn't the best experience i'd ever had. I gave them a call around 12:30pm, and asked about pricing. Told them I'd like to come in that day, and the person on the phone said to come on in, they were wide open for the day. Great. I drive up there and the guy tells me it would take about an hour and 15 minutes. Not bad. I'd be able to make it home in time to take the girlfriend out for lunch for her birthday. My car rolls in around 1:49PM I think, according to their paperwork. To sum it up, i didn't get my car back until 4:30PM and I obviously wasn't home when I thought I'd be. Now I'm in the dog house. The guy came up to me around 3:30 and asked me if I wanted an alignment. I really didn't have the time and expressed to him that I really needed to get back. "Well, it only takes 15 minutes." At least the guy I checked out with gave me an apology, but I'm not too thrilled that I now have to make a second trip out to get an alignment done. Not sure why this whole ordeal took me about 4 hours. I wish I had waited until Monday to just go to the first place that quoted me (they didn't have my tires on hand). They were cheaper, too.

Not only did they charge more for a simple oil change than the dealership, SOMEONE SMOKED IN MY CAR! I had to drive home with the windows down in 42-degree weather, shivering all the way, just so I could BREATHE. I will never go back to any Firestone after this deplorable treatment.
Never again. Took my car in for a oil change and a noise in the front end. It as an engine noise. Water pump and pulley we're bad is what I told them. They told me know there was no noise and the pulleys we're fine. 24 hours later I am having it towed. Car over heated and the water pump is bad. Car should have never left the shop it was not road Worthy. Car is a 2016 and has been we maintained.

So far, this is one of the best automotive service locations you can go to around Akron. No one is perfect, and I've heard stories that have taken places in the past, but the folks that work here now seem to know what they're doing and they're not interested in ripping anyone off.
Went in to get an oil change and tires rotated. I was told this would take 45 minutes, it ended up taking twice that long. I was the only person in the shop when they started working on my car.
I have always had a great experience with people working at the Chapel Hill location. They never try to sell you something you don't need and they are always professional and prompt in their service. I trust there expertise, and most times you don't need an appointment.

If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in this Firestone for service next time, make sure that you watch out for the dangerous, dishonest, discriminating, and rogue employee(s).
I was there today to drop off 1 of my cars for service. When I was ready to drive the other car off the parking spot with my wife and kid, I did not expect to see a truck turning around the corner and coming down the wrong direction of the parking lane at high speed. I stopped soon enough not to block lane, the truck could not until his cab was right in front of my car. It could have been an incident that we both shrugged off, until this Firestone-employee-turned-rogue-road-warrior started pointing at my nose and shouting profanity, not realizing that he's going to fast and going the wrong way. At that point, I had to point out to him that "I was the one who stopped, you did not".
At this point, he chose to turn himself into a liar, by claiming that he was only going at 7 mph. Before he stepped on the gas padal again, he shouted what he thought would be a victorious last word of the confrontation, "Learn how to drive in America!", with not-so-subtle reference to my heritage. As someone who's had a clean driving record in > 1/4 century in America, likely longer than his, I felt this remark was completely unnecessary and discriminating. No one ever have to tell me how to eat a hamburger when going to McDonald's, or how to shop at Macy's. Firestone definitely has an issue in educating their employees about how to service customers. At this point, I honked in protest, before he could speed off.
Now the racist Firestone employee turned himself into a back alley bully. He jumped off his truck, ran up to my car, and threw his face right by my window, and shouted "Do you have an issue? If you don't have one, I'm about to give you one." Seeing his truck blocking the upcoming traffic, and not interested in escalating a street fight with a chest-pounding bully, I quietly asked him to move his vehicle, "just move!"
After dropping off the kid, I went back to retrieve the car that was being serviced at Firestone, then asked to talked to the Firestone manager, and tell the manager why I took my vehicle out of his staff's service. Now the rouge employee got cornered, and jumped out from behind the counter, and threw himself in front of us, claiming that driving against traffic in the diagonally parked lots is not in the "wrong way", because "there's no arrow on the ground". Manager Brian was polite enough to tell me that he'll "take care of it", but failed to agree to the basic facts that his employee was going down the wrong direction, because he's "not there to witness". Disappointed, I had to remind the manager that the rogue has acknowledged which the direction he was travelling at the time, no different from what I have stated. If the manager couldn't even make a call whether that unconventional direction is the "wrong" direction, then we'll have to resort to a third party for arbitration.
Looking back, Firestone lacks the basic training of employees about safety, service, and integrity. Until the store put the arrow on the Firestone parking lot for the under-educated employee(s) to learn how to drive, I will not go back there.
Unless you are looking for the kind of "excitement" as I had today, you probably should not visit them either, not even their parking lot!!!

I went there for 2 things. One to get a credit for a 5 year battery that only lasted 10 months. Two: to get a quote for a new alternator. It took almost a half hour to get to the refund. The first guy was new and didn't know how to handle it. Understandable. During the whole time the other guy was testing the old battery, he didn't say a word to me. This was after I asked about the quote. They said they would pull it in and look at it. I asked how long. An hour. After I STOOD for a half hour already. I said no thanks. I already told them that I was really really exhausted. You'd think that they could look up the part, the install time, and give me at least a ball park figure.
January 2019 - last month I stopped in because one of my tires kept losing air. Initially they said it would be a couple of hours before they could get to it but one of the guys took a quick look at it. He thought there might be sidewall damage. Shoot. I thought the main problem could be as simple as the valve cap. The tires are still under warranty and damage protection. Within a few minutes, he pulled it in and they put in a whole new valve. No real damage. No charge! Reputation salvaged.
I wanted to get an alignment and wheel rotation done so I dropped it off at 5 and told it would take an hour and a half. They closed at 7 so I stopped in at a 6:45 and although I'm not too upset that it wasn't completed, I wasn't called until after I was already there to tell me there were other issues that needed to be addressed before they could do the work.
Although I appreciate them pointing out a safety issue, it would have been nice to be notified sooner.
Great experience! Getting things done to your vehicle is usually torture, these guys actually go out of the way to make it pleasurable. I went there for an oil change and was given a donought, coffee and recommendations for good restaurants in the area by the front desk salesman. Great service, and the building was very clean.
Bought 4 firestone tires the Chaple hill Store. After 3 weeks 2 of the tires began losing air pressure.
They said they can't remount the tires because I dident buy the road hazard
warrenty. These are the last tires I'll bur from them.
They Tried to convince my wife she needed $1500 worth of unnecessary things including tires (which were replaced a month earlier). She was going for a simple oil change. They screwed the drain plug up and had to put a self tapping plug in. I understand mistakes are made but nothing was said. When she went to take the car to our usually place of business they wouldn't change the oil because they don't do self tapping drain plugs. This place has shady people and is just out there to rip people off. Untrustworthy scam artists. Do not go there, you will regret it.

I had a good experience at this location. My car stalled on the freeway and the towing company brought me to this location. The fuel pump was broken - they fixed it very quickly and gave me a discount. Nice place to get your car fixed.
Took my car up here, I know there are several issues wrong with the front end, but I have limited budget. They tell me they have to rebuild the entire front suspension. When I tell them I just need the one part replaced, they say they can do that, and I should consider getting the rest done. After several hours, I get a call saying that they discussed it after talking to me, and feel that it would be a liability to them if they fixed what I asked, and not what they thought, so they won't do any work on my car unless I get over $2000 in repairs. Then they say that they will be able to just change the tire for me (which was flat) and it would take less than an hour. Nearly 3 hours later, I return, and they tell me that they feel changing the tire was not safe, so they did nothing. They didn't even call to tell me this. I nearly missed work at the job I started two weeks ago, and almost lost said job. Now I have to go up there, and figure out how to do the work myself in their parkinglot before I can get my car moving again. I will never give another dollar to firestone, even if it is just getting a tire at another shop, I will refuse if it is a firestone tire.
