Hi All and future tourists to Fiji,
Please DO NOT book or STAY at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa, Denarau.
Watch this space.......as I don't have enough colours to paint a picture of our horrible experience!! This is a 1.0 star hotel.

I will be adding to this on Tuesday once I am back at work........and it will not be nice.....

Can't fault this place, hospitality is amazing, food is great, pool is amazing and it is generally a great place to relax

Charged us for an extra night in which we did not stay.

Beautiful setting, but lacking in service for the star rating of this resort. Over priced on site food and service for mediocre quality.

Big Resort, some rooms along way from the resort proper. Great views. Limited food options. Beautiful room.

The beaches here on Denarau are not really swimmable due to contamination or something - and the whole area being reclaimed land near the port but....
The pools are big and awesome and villas really nice, plus staff are really great and friendly.
If you want nice beaches can walk 5mins down to the port and catch boats to different islands easy.

Expect nothing less, friendly stuff, nice room, but I will suggest eat your dinner elsewhere.

Did not stay here, but went for a meal and drinks. Getting a bit tired now. Nice staff, great views and fab live music from 5pm on.

Our room was very close to main reception so had noise most of the night, plates of food were slow to be cleared from poolside areas so birds become an issue, as expected food wasnt the cheapest but fair enough with it being an island etc. Probably wouldnt stay here again as prefered the shangra la 40mins down the road. More welcoming staff, better views and nicer beaches.

Great snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding spot. Well worth it for a day of sun and fun

The Hilton Fiji Beach Resort is a beautifully maintained well kept and high-quality resort that offers all the facilities you would require from a resort on Denarau Island while being one of the better-priced resorts. From the friendly staff to the excellent Bula Express quickly moving people around the complex, I ll definitely be back.

Good hotel but there is a cocharoche issue with my room.. th hotel is expensive to have dinner and buy food.

Was welcomed with a warm smile in the most traditional fijian way. A new and exciting experience.

Very disappointed with the whole stay. From the check in point and for most of the stay. Unclean room, not getting room cleaned and all phone call requests taking over two houra sometime over a day to get what we asked for. I have never stayed at a hotel with such poor service. Not what you expect from Hilton Hotel.

One of the most beautiful locations in Denarau! An unimpeded view of ocean, with access to so many swimming pools, bars and restaurants all beachside. Spoilt for choice really! The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. For families, friends or couples it's a real treat and only a cheap taxi from Denarau Port. Speny but probably the best resort in town

The scenery is very beautiful. The staff is warm and friendly.

Makes much more sense to go to a local hotel - service here is horrible. Unfriendly people, voucher for bufete we could not use as it was too full and we where Ask 3 times to wait for 30 min. The people who provide the jetski and sailing service seem to be there for their own fun

Location, cleanliness, staff were fantastic, for us it as great having an adult only restaurant and pool area. Koro restaurant was brilliant, day staff lead by Etoirto, (sorry if that's spelt wrong) evening staff by Marsha. I think i had the best meal ever there "Beef short ribs" . <br/>Wecwere treated to as fresh as they come coconut, one of the gardener's we spoke to, climbed a tree and got us one each, opened it, poured the coconut milk out and then chopped it into pieces for us. Magic..

It was extremely bad experience in Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa, dirty room with lots of insects, bad service. It is 5 star hotel, but everything there just like 3 star hotel. By the way, the staffs in the front gate asked his home brother as a taxi driver for us and charged triple taxi fee, I thought that's illegal thing. I don't recommend any one live there, if is possible I would like to rate minus for Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa.

I was only there one day and did not have time to see all the facilities. it is a very large complex with 3 restaurants, different swimming pools, internal minibus for mouret inside the resort, etc.
Very friendly and attentive staff at all times.

My review is well overdue but as they say, better late than never! We stayed at the Hilton Fiji Resort in April 2017 and had the most amazing time. David and the team were absolutely amazing and we cannot speak highly enough of the service, facilities and generosity conveyed from check-in through to departure. It is conveniently located and walking distance to the Port Denarau Marina (about 15mins). The restaurant staff were amazing and the cafe which we discovered late into our trip was a hidden treasure. My wife and 2 little boys (4 & 2) as well myself cannot wait for the next opportunity to return.

Thank you all again - we still smile when we recount our time there.

Lovely room, best we have stayed in on Denarau. Location and layout of resort was not as nice though. Restaurant was rather expensive.

Such a huge name connected I would have expected more from this hotel. When we first arrived we were left stranded in the open lobby as our room had not been cleaned yet (even though we confirmed previously our booking and we arrived after the 2pm check in time). We ended up waiting for our room for just over an hour. In the mean time it was suggested we book our new years eve plans with a staff member. We bought a ticket to an event for 2 for the evening which included food, drink and live performance.....this package costs us a few hundred dollars. After we had arranged this we returned to the waiting game for our room. Once finally settled in we went to the venue for the Nye party. When we got there we were told that the event was full and we should not have been sold tickets, due to this the venue had to find and setup an extra table which was put out the back of the venue. Also due to this it meant that the food and drink had to cover the extra people (us) which just showed how unorganised this hotel was. For the rest of our stay we had to deal with various things in the room not working as well as the reception staff who weren't a great help. When we checked out of our stay we noticed another family playing the waiting game upon check in (which from overhearing, they weren't taking it to well)......I would not recommend this place to anyone. There is far better hotels in Fiji!

Very nice hotel, luxurious, well placed. But BIG ANARQUE !! You can't call the city taxis, it's theirs. One way trip to town $ 50 return trip with a local taxi $ 9 ... you pay at the end of your stay because it is "included in your stay" but we do not tell you that there are taxes ( $ 400 tax for 4 days ...) We were billed twice for breakfast because they had not taken into account that we had paid in cash. FREE wifi which you have to pay between $ 9 and $ 14 per day. Out of groceries $ 1200 bill in addition to the hotel for "services". Not to mention the taxi scam.

Amazing Resort!! So relaxing, and the views are beautiful. The staff there are so friendly.

Room wasn't appointed the way it should be. Not a practical setup. No drawers, mirror too far away to shave or apply makeup. Duvet had been washed too many times and inner was just balls. Lights crackled. Air con noisy ...and just too far from pools etc. Worst lobby I have seen also. 1st impressions etc.

We ve had a wonderful time. The staff at the Koro restaurant were awesome. Always happy and eager to please. The food was wonderful We would like to shout out to Se Senieli from Housekeeping. Every day we were greeted by one of her amazing towel art pieces

The hotel and location its self is nice, in comparison to the others in the area it would be mid range.
There are 3 restaurants in the resort which were all very nice, but often you will place your order and 30 minutes later you will find out they have sold out of what you wanted.
What let it down was the service, very much below average.
They use "Fiji Time" far to often and just turned out to be an excuse for laziness. What ever you order will usually take 30 mins plus to arrive (drinks but food even longer) and often they wouldn't turn up at all. Don't trust the locals what ever you do, they always over charge and try to rip you off.
Watch your bills they charge you in the resort, they get it wrong most times.
Wouldn't stay here again, especially for the price.

I had an amazing experience here. The amenities are phenomenal. Staff are always happy and friendly. Will stay there again. To top things up we saw the fijian President staying at the resort. So you know its good!

Rooms are amazing. Beautifully presented and large with high quality furnishings, and not at all dated. The pools and restaurants are very nice. The restaurants are a little expensive, however, the adults only restaurant I thought was great value for money.

The natural surroundings aren't amazing. But with the service beside the stunning pools this wasn't a problem and super easy to go for day trips.

Highly recommended this resort.

Bula! The Hilton Fiji Beach Resort is so great, I highly recommend it. The people who work here as so amazing and friendly. The seven pools are amazing and refreshing. The food, including the poolside ice cream, is quite good. I also loved the little Cafe across from my room. I have found my stay to be very relaxing. One of my favorite things is walking right out my door to the pools.

Cons are common to the resorts around here: cashless policy with credit card surcharge, expensive food & activities, and limited nightlife.

Do yourself a favour pick another hotel at Denaru Island.
Rooms great. Food poor.
Could not get one food order correct during out stay.
Try another hotel.

Great location next to water. However beach is ordinary. Reclaimed? Grey gritty sand. Wonderful outlook to islands. Gorgeous staff, but excruciatingly expensive food and beverage.

The most amazing experience I've ever had. 11/10 would stay again.

Lovely resort however only resort in Denarau without a convenience store or bottle shop meaning they have the monopoly. Cheapest bottle of wine in the resort is $86 and you can buy same one in Australia for $15. All restraints charged $50 per person for breakfast but if you went to port Denarau you would get a far better breakfast for $20. All meals and drinks were over priced in the resort. The rooms were nice enough but the cleanliness and housekeeping could be very much improved considering the price you pay. We upgraded to a beach view at $100 per night and to be honest wish we hadn t as the beach is not clean and no one entered the water at all. We had a cupboard in the room which had crumbs and old food when we arrived never complained but left the door open every morning to come back and find it closed but not cleaned. There was old towels and a lot of dust under the bed on our arrival whe I mentioned it to the maid she removed the towels but under the bed still never got cleaned the whole week we were there. The furniture is dirty ingrained with marks and the rooms in general are very much needing upgrade. Sorry but the resort are only interested in bleeding you dry.on a positive note the staff and people are very friendly. Do yourself a favour and book one of the other resorts on Denarau

The Hilton on Denarau Island exceeded all of our expectations. My partner and I are used to 5 star beach resorts but were on a budget for this trip so went with the Hilton and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and location. We had a beachfront studio and it was fabulous; all of the rooms are along the water so it seems hard to get a bad one (unless you select a garden view I guess). The room was well-equipped, surprisingly nice, and comfortable. The pools are great but we spent most of our time on the grass along the beach - it was lovely. Lots of kids and families so we stayed closer to the adults only pool which was great. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was how terrible the service was in the restaurants, especially Koro the adults only restaurant. It seemed as though the restaurants were seriously understaffed so we remained patient, but we saw many guests become visibly frustrated with how long everything took and sometimes just being abandoned at the table (this happened to us pretty much every meal throughout our 5 day stay). We found it shocking how rude some guests were as it seemed the staff were trying their best! All in all we would definitely return. Very good value for your money and a wonderful experience.

Enjoyed our time here, the resort is quite long but they do have little carts (the bula express) running to pick you up if you don't fancy walking it everytime (we were 1 room from the very end and it could be tiresome). We went to the adults only restaurant the most as it was so close to our room. Nice food and pretty reasonable prices. Often there was only 1 or 2 people in the pool with you...seemed quite quiet, probably be different during school holidays.

Beautiful place, lovely people, but it seemed everything kept breaking down - between my family's 3 rooms we had 3 broken air conditioners, a fridge that didn't work, and a circut breaker that kept overloading. It made for a lot of frustrating calls to the front desk that didn't resolve much.

Other than the nice beach view, I don't have much good to say about this place

They wanted me to buy bandaid when I asked for it when I have a cut on my feet, after questioning them, they then said they didn't have first aid kit, then said there's no bandaid in the kit, then finally gave in and brought me two

Calling room service at night would take forever for someone to pick up then be transferred 3 times

Room cleaning doesn't refill shampoo and shower gel
