My young adult daughter had a wonderful experience today when she leased a vehicle for the first time. Both Pat and Tom were very accommodating. They went above and beyond for her. If you are considering buying or leasing a car from Ferris, I'd highly recommend asking for Tom. He is a nice young man and you'll have a great experience. The customer service we experienced today was top notch. You won't be disappointed.

After taking my truck to there body shop 3 times and 2 of the times being extremely disappointed I am writing this review, both times they gave me back my truck covered in fiberglass on the inside. The last time my headlights were pointing at the ground and I had to adjust them myself after almost wrecking but because I give second chances, I brought it there again. My front end was smashed by another driver all the away across the front, I had come in to check on the progress of my truck 3 days into the job, when I got there I was informed that my trucks right side was not going to be covered under my insurance ( ALLSTATE Full coverage ) that is until I made him pull up photos and showed him where I was hit at which point he realized what an ignorant observation he made and covered the repair. I then gave him a specially ordered set of headlights that I wanted installed that produces a bright white light and were about $100 out of pocket for me. I called the next day to make sure the lights were being installed and I was informed they were, but when I got my truck there were standard dull yellow lights installed my truck again covered in fiberglass on the inside and there trash from the job thrown in my truck bed. I am more than upset to say the least this place has gotten to big for there britches. If I could save you the trouble please never take your vehicle to this place. I also forgot to add that the staff talked to me like I was 5 years old as if what I said or wanted didn't matter to them. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND NEVER USE THIS BODY SHOP.
UPDATE: I made a previous review and i never made another update to it. Purchased a 04 Lexus GS 300 that had vad upper control arms from the dsy i drove it off the lot. Not sayong that Ferris Chevy are not good people, but just be sure to THOROUGHLY check your used vehicle if it wasnt Certified.
I live in Jefferson county within a stones through from another Chevy dealer. I have tried on numerous occasions to to business with my local dealership with terrible results. Since I work near Ferris I have opted to call them when the local one failed to provide results. I have purchased cars, new and used, I have had to have recalls handled, regular oil changes/service, and just recently major body work. I can't express how pleased I am with the customer service I have received from every department I've death with. Everyone has been genuinely nice, exceedingly helpful and the quality of service is stellar. I would strongly recommend them.
Highly recommend Bob Hickman at Ferris as the source for your next vehicle. He went above and beyond to get us the Yukon we wanted at a very fair price.
When I first went to Ferris I was looking at purchasing my first new vehicle after buying multiple used vehicles before from other dealers. I met with the salesman Steve and through talking to him and test driving a few different vehicles I enjoyed. Steve helped me pick the perfect car with all the needs and wants of my family with no hassle or pressuring of any kind. Steve and the other employees working at Ferris made my experience very simple and easy and I will definitely be going back time and time again. If you want no hassle simple and easy car buying go check out Ferris they definitely earned me and my family as a life time client and now friend.
Steve Rothel was my salesman. I bought my vehicle while living in Michigan. I had to trust that Steve would tell me everything about the vehicle over the phone and take pictures of any imperfections. I was not disappointed in Steve's information. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I'm very happy with my purchase. Good family owned dealership.
Bought a car in august from ferris...my sales rep is Bob he is a great sales rep...totally goes out of your way to help you and met your needs no matter what.....I totally recommend anyone buy a car from ferris. Thank you for the great experience. Thanks Ben
Hats off to the Service Department!!! I have NEVER felt so comfortable with a service department before. I had a mishap with another dealership up north who sent me to Ferris saying it was Chevy problem. When I called Ferris they said bring it right down and they will look at it. They looked over my car and changed the oil, that night. While talking with Michael, he explained things to me and made sure I felt comfortable on what was going on!!! I can not THANK him enough for HELPING me out!!! A BIG THANK YOU to the entire Service Department!!!
Very displeased on how we were treated and them being unprofessional. Drove over 2 hours to look at this vehicle we had Spoken to them about. We get there they go to show us something completely different.
I would say if your a woman stay clear of dealing with these arrogant salesmen, I have never been treated so disrespectfully! The salesman didn't take me seriously and when we discussed things he wouldn't even look directly at me during the conversation showing zero decency. I wouldn't waste my money here.
Only giving one star so I can write this review, they really deserve no stars at all. Very unprofessional they had my car way longer than it should have ever taken to fix it! And when picking my car up gave me nothing but attitude from the get go! They had my car twice and completely missed the issue the first time! Only to get my car back and it still have the same issue! Then wanted to tell us that they did what they were supposed to, well apparently not if you had my car twice for the same issue. I was nice right up to the end when they had my car almost a month and I finally had enough. I still did not have my car back, nor did they bother keeping in touch with me after being told a date my car would be ready and then wasn t! When calling to check on my car I was given a run around and told I had to speak with a particular person who was always supposedly with another customer. When I would be called back I was given information and told on more than one occasion my car would be ready and that they would call me for pick up, once completed on that day, only to have no call and no car! When we did go and pick up the car they argued with us and made a scene when no scene needed to be made! Because I had let them know prior to going in that it was ridiculous on my wait time and it should have never been as long as it was and if it was going to be extended passed what I was told, they should have kept in contact instead of no communication at all and myself having to call and ask! I would never recommend their service, no company should be as unprofessional as they are! A car should never take a month to be fixed! It was obvious my car was pushed aside and done at their own leaser because my car did not come from them. Regardless they were getting paid and it should have been just as much a priority as others! I will never use their service again or recommend them to anyone!
Steve rothel is a family man and understood the financials and fit the car to the needs of buying a first car for my daughter, I also had a recent accident repaired by tge body shop at ferris, work and attention to detail all went great
As a family owned business, it is continuing the family legacy
Realistically, I would leave zero stars if I could. I recently purchased a used car from this dealership and dealt with Jacob Marvin. I paid ABOVE KBB value in CASH and was told the vehicle was inspected by the dealership s mechanics. The next day, I began to notice a clunking noise when shifting the transmission. I did some research and pretty confidently pinpointed what it was: bad news. But not too bad because I had bought this used car from a larger dealership that I thought would care about customer relations.
After a couple days of phone tag and avoidance from Jacob, he contacted me via TEXT and said that the absolute best they could do was $570 for just labor. I still had to source the parts and drive 2+ hours back to the dealership for them to perform the job. So instead of $1000 by myself, it was $800 plus hundreds of extra miles of driving. Great.
My final advice would be that if you re shopping for a used car and going to Ferris to avoid getting screwed by the little mom and pop dealers, don t. They ll take advantage of you and the contracts you sign, and furthermore, will have a blatant disregard for any practices of decency expected from larger dealerships.
Everything was great till the financing part. Great salesman and they fixed everything I wanted done and even filled my gas tank, but took us on financing. Didn't explain any of the financing paperwork or prices just had us sign.
We had a great experience when shopping for a new car at Ferris Chevrolet. Tom Jennings was our salesman and he did a wonderful job. This is the third new car from Ferris that we have purchased and I would certainly shop there again. Everyone there was very friendly and there was no pressure. My kind of place!
Tom Jennings helped me lease a brand new 2016 Chevy Cruise LT with exceptional monthly payments. Tom is very personable and fun to work with. I highly recommend him!
Before his death, my husband & I have dealt with Ferris for about 20 years. Since he is no longer here, I have continued to deal with Ferris & will keep coming in to see the wheels at Ferris. The service is great & the knowledgeable personnel makes dealing there a good experience. It would seem strange to some people, but dealing at Ferris is always a fun experience. Helpful & personable people. It keeps me coming back. Thanks Dan & Lisa.
Steve Rothel took care of us when we recently purchased a Toyota Camry. He always goes the extra mile, and adds a bit of dry humor along the way. Steveo was outstanding!
When it came time for me to purchase a new vehicle I called Ferris Chevrolet. Steve Rothel took note of the vehicle I was intrested in and called me as soon as one came in! When I saw it I knew it was the one! Steve went above & beyond in helping me and making my car buying experience stress free, fast, and easy! I have bought three out of four of the cars I've owned over the years at Ferris Chevrolet. I will continue to recommend Ferris Chevrolet to everyone as the staff make a normally stressful process hassel free!
Left blinking was not going off after making a left turn. order one part, that didn't fix it and had to order another part. That fixed that issue. Now we have a problem with the air bag, so it's back at Ferris's getting check. They have been prompt getting us in. Hope it's nothing major.
Steve Rothel did a great job in finding the exact car for me based on my needs. He is very responsive to questions and follows up to make sure the experience is stress free. I love my new Encore!
We only buy our vehicles through ferris with Steve rothel! He is very kind and is our ONLY sales guy WE WILL DEAL WITH!!! He is willing to work with us and he makes sure everything is perfect with our purchase!!
A big thanks to Steve Rothel and the Ferris team for making it a pleasant and simple car buying experience. The people here are very personable yet professional. I would highly recommend Ferris Chevrolet Buick Cadillac and Toyota.
Lisa Alsept did an outstanding job explaining the different vehicles available and their individual options. She spent the necessary time needed to assure that we understood our options and that we were happy with our choice of vehicles. In addition, Ted Bear located a vehicle of our choice in a timely manner. Overall, we had a great experience.
I drove out (about 3 hours from home) for a specific car to replace my totaled car - same car, one year newer, I was pretty excited. There was no inspection form with the car, and that should have been the first sign to walk away.
During the test drive, I noticed the brakes were really soft, and there was a lot more road noise than I thought there should be. The serpentine belt was whining, too. When we got back, I checked a front tire and it looked fine; I asked if the tires were new and was told yes, in no uncertain terms. The word yes was used. I mentioned the brakes and they said they should be fine for another few months. They said the belt looked fine.
The financing I already had didn't work out - I could look past that, since the bank wanted one thing, the dealership wanted another. Whatever.
So, I mentioned that the car was going to need the brakes completely redone, and they took some money off the cost of the car. We finish the transaction. I drive the rental car home, a friend drives the new car.
And then I bring it to a garage I trust a day or two later. I find out that only two of the tires are new - the other two are completely worn out. The ones that are new are the wrong size. The brakes need to be replaced. Period, not in a couple months. So my friend drove a car 3 hours that was not safe to be driving. Cool. Cool, we endangered my friend. On top of the brakes and the tires, the serpentine belt needs to be replaced, too. I emailed the salesperson to complain, because really, what are they doing selling a car that needs that level of work? They sent me a check that covered the cost of a tire.
Since buying the car 9 months ago, I've also had to replace the wipers, the battery, the oil filter (that was right away, too, so they didn't even change the oil before selling it?), and the fuel level sensor doesn't work right once it gets to a quarter tank, and tells me it's empty about 5 minutes' drive after it says I have 60 miles to go.
All in all, I felt like this wasn't a good experience in general, and with the reviews online I expected better of the dealership. I specifically didn't buy from a private party because I thought my chances of the business being responsible were better. Very disappointed. My fault for not just buying something local so my garage could make sure I wasn't being lied to.
The two stars versus one is because I appreciate the online communication versus needing to call. They did promptly answer my emails.
very bad experience some of it my fault for not checking the used2004 ranger truck out more effeicently. drove it like the ride so purchased it to quickly without checking certain parts of ranger. radio did not work they said probably fuse but the radio was blown out which I found out later. after a few days back in akron ohio the truck started smoking real bad out of tail pipe. had it back to ferris four times from akron till they got the agr valve cleaned up to take out and engine lite. I was told there was no rust on truck by a salesman ben and I found alarge rusted out hole up in the bed liner. the dealer sold me this truck as is I know that but boy was I disappointed in the outcome. the salesman teddy bear was real helpful to me to try and fix the emission problems but that was as far as I got salesman big ben made sure of that. I would not ever purchase another vehicle from this place , tom
Tom is one of the most personable people I've ever met. It's easier to make a big purchase when the guy helping you make that choice is so professional, friendly, and enthusiastic. I'd recommend him to anyone looking to buy their next car!
Literally the most painless experience of buying a car I have ever had. I purchased a used vehicle off of Ben. He made ithe seamless and easy. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend anyone to him. Thank you guys for the wonderful experience.
Had a very positive experience today. I had an 11:30 appointment for an oil change, but dropped it off early due to a schedule conflict on my end. Welcomed by a pleasant employee who was pretty busy but took a moment to help an elderly gentleman to the waiting room. My vehicle was dropped off at 10 but actually done before my scheduled 1130 time. Positive experience and kudos to Mark for his customer service presence in the busy service area.
I recently purchased a used F-150 with the help of Steve Rothel. I found the vehicle online and called to inquire about it because they had not posted any photos yet. Steve went beyond the call and sent me photos and a car fax the following morning. It was worth the drive from Cleveland to make the deal.
Terrible, just out to sell you what they can make the most money off of, also tried to put me in a car when I came to buy a truck, they just don't care about you
Worst dealership ever! I took my car there for 2 recalls and in the process of replacing a power steering motor they broke something in my clutch pedal assembly and of course wouldn't own up to it. 3 months later I replace the clutch and now I have to pay $300 on top of $1300 to get it fixed. I'm not the only person who hates this dealership either. Ask any local mechanic, anyone who's ever had their car serviced or fixed. I promise!
John Grafe was my salesman and i was VERY pleased. Great customer service from the salesman all the way to the guy that signed papers with me to drive it off the lot! 4 out of 5 stars because it needs some work but that is expected for buying a used car.
Was told it would only take an hour. Got there and then was told it was an all day job. I asked that they wash my car, the reply was "Always". Got there that evening to pick up the car. Wasn't washed, grease on the interior of the car. Wasn't very Happ to say the least.
By the way Steve Rothel as bent over backwards to make sure that I'm happy purchaser . He even drove the car over here to pick me up when it came in. That way I didn't have to inconvenience other people to take me there. Thank you Steve! Everyone there has been extremely helpful and courteous and answered all my questions. So far so good I haven't had any issues and can recommend it to anyone. The only complaint I could have is that I have the basic computer package in my car and that's a little disappointing but but everything is working great and I enjoy driving it so it's alright. Love the car that handles great and I didn't really want all the stop automatic stop in but everything else is great I enjoy the car great car ingrate dealership. Too bad I couldn't afford a Cadillac!
You can't get a better salesman than Steve! Make sure you ask for him!! Love my new 2013 Malibu!! This is my 3rd car purchase from Ferris Chevy and it won't be the last
If I could give them a 1/16 star, that would be over rated! They are super friendly, then they get their finance team to mess around with your Interest rate and try to get as much cash down as possible, stating that the bank requires it! Well, I went in with financing in place, only for them to try and play games with us! Please do your negotiating with them before signing anything, otherwise you ll pay a lot more! Shop elsewhere!! Don t let the smiles and pleasant facilities fool you!
Took my car in to have front end repaired. When I picked it up my trunk lid had a half moon shaped white spot the size of a tennis ball on it. Spot wasn't there when I took it in and was when I picked it up. They said they don't know what happened to it so they aren't responsible. Have gone there for years. Will never be back again. Very unprofessional in my opinion.
I am from out of town and staying in Strausburg for business. On my way into town my windshield wipers froze up during a snowstorm. It was MLK day and nothing was open. Mike Deemer and Bret Cooper of Ferris Chevrolet had me pull in and fixed the problem within 15 mins. A big thanks to the whole team as they were all incredibly nice. Would recommend them to anyone!!!!
Very pleasant experience. The young man we dealt with, I believe his name was either Brent or Bret, very nice guy. Listened, he listened to our concerns, joked with me - which I like. Over all good experience. Bill & Pat Ferris, you ve got yourself I nice employee!
I've had my 2013 Chevy cruze for a year and 1 month and have had it in the shop 3 times once for thermosate 2nd for transmission and now it's going in for a broken axle I bought extended warranty ally major gaurd I'm told to go get a loaner I go in and they tell me we cant give you a loaner cause we don't know what's wrong with and we need to know where our money is coming from. the fact that there service guy called me and said he had a loaner ready and it was the axle which is covered by by gm and ally really pisses me off. u try to get something nice and turns into a lemon....
Never had any dealings with Ferris until today and was under the impression that they really cared about their customers, which made them my first choice to call when I needed my keyfob programmed to my car. I called last week and talk to a woman that set me up with an appointment to have it done. No problem. Today is the day of the appointment and I called to ask if I had to be with my car the entire time or if I could simply drop it off and pick it up after it was finished. Absolutely no one would answer my question (which I assume is a pretty straight forward question). First I was put on hold for 5 minutes then told I would need to call back later. I waited a little over an hour and called back again I was put on hold and transferred multiple times, just to be told that they would give me a call back. I waited about 1 1/2-2 hours and heard nothing from them so I called again. And again the same run around just to be told AGAIN that they would call back. My appointment is in 2 hours. If i don't hear back in another hour I am going to cancel my appointment.
***Update*** Just got a call back from Ferris, the woman was very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to taking my car to Ferris now. It seems that once you actually talk to the service dept they are more than happy to work with you, getting a hold of them can be very frustrating tho. *changed rating*
A while back I sold a 2011 Chevy Cruze to Ferris and the sales manager was Brian I believe. He told me he couldn't give me more for the car because he was only going to make $600-$700 on the car. A day later they had the car advertised for $3100 more than they paid me. The car was only for sale for a few days and they sold it. Dont sell your vehicle to Ferris because I was lied to and they made way more then $600-$700 on the deal. I personally dont like being lied to.
Jan 2019, I bought a 2015 a Ford Explorer. There was to be work done to it and it was never done. There was a shaking in the front and after a month they finally got it and just slapped a new tire on it. Didn t fix the problem. Jake the salesman said he d get it back in to service. Never done. So, I had to replace my brakes, rotors and have it aligned myself. Next, there was chips all over the hood. I was assured it would be fixed. I agreed and told Jake, I want it done correctly. Sanded down and repainted. Again, he said no problem. I get it back and they put a black strip over the chips, similar to a rhino liner for a ruck bed. Also, there was a piece missing that holds the part closed where the jack goes in the trunk. He said he would order it from Ford. Never got that fixed. It is still taped. I was also assured I would get the unlock code for the outside of my door. I can t even get it to work. Lastly, my car has been stuck on the My Key setting where I can t go over a certain speed, my radio won t play unless my seatbelt is fastened and the radio won t play at full volume, only half. After multiple phone calls with Jake my problems were never addressed. Finally I call and spoke with the sales manager. He said he couldn t do anything because it wasn t written down and Jake no longer worked there. He asked for a picture of the missing piece in the trunk so he can see what he can do. I texted him a picture and have never heard back. I would NEVER recommend Ferris and will not be purchasing another vehicle from them! I am highly dissatisfied and will let everyone know about my horrible experience. For being a locally owned company you would think, they would take a little more pride in what they do.
