While I enjoyed my stay, I was disappointed to find that people who chose a promotion that gave a 100 credit/day paid the same amount for a room that I paid for the AZ resident promotion, minus the daily resort credit, which the resort would not provide to me. That said, we had a nice time. La Hacienda is as good as the reviews say it is. Sadly, Toro is not. Save your money.

One thing I was REALLY not pleased with was finding a roach in my room. A 5-start resort should NOT have that issue.

I'd like to say I will return, but I will probably check out a different resort for our next staycation.

Wow! What an experience. Food was great ... had guacamole and chips, dry rubbed chicken wings and hummus and veggies. Service was outstanding...and the bird patrol ... again wow! I had the opportunity to pet a beautiful barn owl and a hawk. My bucket list is getting shorter. Unbelievable experience.

Nice desert resort, really spread out so prepare to walk or ask for a golf cart ride. Several top class full service pools open 24 hours. Excellent restaurants across the board. Decor is slightly dated yet comfortable.

Awesome hotel and it is humongous and gorgeous. The service here is amazing and the rooms are large (casitas are huge). It is pricey and the one downside is that its a huge resort and you have to walk 5-10 min to get to the front desk.

We attended the Pumpkin Night at the Princess and had a lovely time. The kids enjoyed the rides and fireworks most of all. My only advice is I wish I was aware of ahead of time, is to dress the kids in their costume and to book dinner reservations well in advance. Long wait times for the restaurants. Other than that we had a great time and it s a beautiful resort.

We went there for their Winter Festival event. We had an amazing time and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was very helpful and they all had smiles on their faces. I'm going again next year. :-)

Y'know what, the location is out north of Scottsdale. The spa is amazing. Three levels of the spa. Pool on top. Amazing. It's very clean. The service is excellent and they always treat you well

I honestly enjoyed no part of my experience at the Scottsdale Princess Fairmont Ice Skating rink. I drove with several of my friends for almost an hour to get there and then once we arrived we discovered that it costs $30 to self park which appeared to be the cheapest option. We didn't want to be late for our skate time which we were excited for so we used valet and got in line. We waited 40 minutes in line and once we got to the front were told that they did not accept cash payment.. So we were redirected to the Christmas shop to buy our passes there and get a receipt. We got to the front of the line at the Christmas shop and bought our passes then had to get into the long line again to get skates and wristbands with our receipts. My friends and I were upset by this so we called the hotel manager and discussed our options with them. They offered us a refund over the phone and then only offered "express passes" when we met with them in person. By the time we were back by the ice skating rink and had our skates we only had an hour left in our skate time. We sought a refund after this which was a lengthy process that led to us speaking with the "Christmas manager" (apparently a hard man to get a hold of) and were offered free passes to visit and skate again, refunded, and given complimentary beverages. This all would have been great if I hadn't wasted 3 hours of my time being disappointed by the quality of their management. This was supposed to be a fun night to celebrate my friends birthday and it didn't come anywhere near what we expected. The refund only covered the ice passes and not the $80 we spent on parking. Even if we hadn't had our issues with the cash, it wouldn't have been worth the lengthy trip to spend all our money on wobbling around on an over crowded ice rink.

Amazing staff and plenty of pools. The dining is great, but the portions can be really small so sure to ask the servers. Lots of fun kids activities too like pirates and mermaids university. I'll come again for sure.

I attended Pumpkin Nights on 10/9. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of safety during a pandemic. Hardly anyone was wearing their masks and social distancing was not even a thing. They created places for lines without any regard to social distancing. Why have a sign that says social distancing and masks required and not enforce it?

While the resort is incredible and beautiful and staff is friendly and accommodating, I have a huge issue with the fact that everything is overly expensive. I understand that there is a markup on things sold there, and though I don't like it, I do understand from a business perspective. However, having to pay $23 for a cheese burger that is only slightly better than a burger I can get for $3 at Carl's Jr. is tragic. I also don't like the idea that I can't bring in drinks or food into the pool area. It's not that good and/or drinks aren't allowed, it's that your own food and drinks aren't allowed. I get not wanting folks to bring coolers of beer in there, but not being able to pack a PB&J for the kids is a bit much.

I went to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess winter event. And like previous years, the evite was excellent. You pay per car ($55) and there are plenty of kids activities included in this cover fee. There are also additional activities for extra, such as ice skating and roasting s'mores by pit fires. I highly recommend this event for anyone who wants to experience a great holiday fun event for families, or anyone looking to have a good time.

Fun place! I know this year they were at half capacity and the lines for rides was still extremely long. I can't even imagine how long on a normal year without restrictions. Very neat place for kids but plan on spending a bit if you want any drinks or food. Best to bring stuff from home!

Pools and food were great. However be prepared for maintenance working until exactly 2am and starting again at 6am. They thought the best time to power wax the floors directly outside our room was 1 in the morning. Called to complain and they sent someone down to tell them to keep it down. That lasted for exactly 2 minutes until they started up again. I was comped my entire...resort fee. That's it. The girl at the front desk didn't seem too concerned about it. Won't stay again. Be prepared for tons of noise all night long.

*EDIT* I received an email from a manager at the resort. He says if I come back for another stay and spend more money on a room, then they will upgrade us to a nicer part of the hotel. That doesn't really fix anything. Oh well.

*edit 2* After declining their offer, I received a refund for the night's stay. Happy that they did the right thing.

We stayed at the Fairmont Gold venue. Everyone we encountered there and the rest of the facility were very friendly. The lounge along with the food and drink was outstanding. Taylor, Clara and the entire rest of the staff go beyond all expectations to all the guests. We are looking forward to our next visit

The resort is one of the best in town, it has big rooms nice upgrades in family friendly. Unfortunately, their winter major attraction, the Christmas event, was poorly organized with long waiting lines.

Wow what a resort, highly recommend this amazing hotel/resort - the reason I didn t give 5 stars is because some things were not done properly but was sorted out by the front desk and maintance manager. Also wish the rooms was bit more updated with wireless phones in the room and more updated furniture bit old looking. Other than that highly recommend for couples and families with children. My son had soooo much fun, while he was at the kids club having fun I was enjoying every minute at the wonderful spa. The food was delicious we had dinner and will have lunch tomorrow. Enjoy it! We will definitely be back with friends that have kids.
