Magical place where everything is great! The rooms are spacious suites, all comfort. Beautiful lounges, amazing lunch buffet! The best buffet of the 14 days of our stay. Everything is at will and in abundance. The golf surrounding the establishment is dazzling located by the sea. The view is lovely, wild. In short, a dream night in a luxury establishment. We loved it.

good size room, but its should be cleaner. the robe and towel had blood stains, the toilet and sink was not clean. when they make up room, the bathroom toilet and regular tissues was not replace. its was empty. they did not replace the shampoo and conditioner. They put the empty botton on sink. Had call housekeeping. The bed was made, but they didnot replace the room with clean cup. The dirt cup and glasses was left on top table. Breakfast was ok, food was little dry. The ham and sausages was very dry. It's been sitting on a burner for a while. I had omelette with spinach. But I wish they clean the pan each time. Because its can conterminate other food. I got hives from the eggs, its mostly touch mushroom. The golf course was ok and challenging with the Wind. The green should be in better condition. As club member no newspaper was delivery to room.

In my opinion, There is no hotel like it in Scotland. It is brilliant. I can find no fault! From the very large comfortable rooms, to the ambience, the spa, 2 magnificent golf courses, the buffet breakfast & a 7 minute drive to St. Andrew's town centre. A truly magnificent place to stay!

I love this hotel. It is luxury on a large scale. Nothing is small, squashed or cramped. The vast 50 ft atrium is a perfect venue for the vast Scottish breakfast buffet that never fails to delight, and equally suited for elegant afternoon teas quietly served to intimate groups of family or friends relaxing on squashy sofas and in high-backed winged armchairs. The bedrooms are big enough to throw a party and the bathrooms palatial. Situated as it is on the top of a hilltop, overlooking the sweeping bay of the ancient town of St Andrews, this is my go-to hotel when I feel the need to breathe, and escape the irritations and accumulated stress of everyday life. It never fails to deliver.

The room was great. Italian restaurant was very good and the staff were very attentive. Grounds are lovely for a walk. Just walk to the bottom of the road and you can join the coastal path.

The second night was disappointing. I had ordered a burger that you would think would be easy to to serve. The bun was solid and must have been microwaved. Nearly broke my finger when I pinged it. Sent it back and was not much better when it came back and not flavoursome.

First day breakfast was nice. Second day took over 30 minutes and well not the best. Wife had a meeting and missed her breakfast. To be fair the waitress who was amazing said that she would get her manager and gave my wife a take away box which was lovely.

Overall I am left dissatisfied for the quality that you would expect. Just unfortunate

Had a wonderful Christmas here at the Fairmont. Everything top class as always. Stayed several times previously but first festive trip. Highly recommended, enjoyable and relaxing. Staff make you very welcome, always friendly especially Davie at the front door always a hoot. Everyone cannot do enough to make your stay special. Ho, Ho, Ho.

Just spent the weekend there celebrating the good ladies birthday.
They could not have made more of a fuss over her, cake, prosecco. Fantastic meal.
The best bed.great shower and a breakfast to die for. All worked off in the spa.
Would highly recommend if your looking for something special. Not cheap but did not grudge 1 penny

This is a diamond of a course just outside of St. Andrew's. Good rates for visitors and spectacular views on every whole of the water, and landscape. Some holes you can clearly see back into town. Make sure to check the pro shop out and have a bite to eat as well! Fairmont never disappoints.

Was here for the recent Ferrari test drive event. Incredible hotel with very friendly and professional staff. Food was delicious and rooms were fantastic. Cannot really complain about a single element of my two nights here.

We visit this hotel every year and I am a Fairmont regular through both business and pleasure. Been to a few of their hotels and there are a few constants, the breakfast is always superb and the staff are always great. Had one or two minor issues in this hotel but the staff have always resolved them well in the end. Should be back in a couple of weeks too so hope this is still true. Cleanliness has never been any kind of issue here and the facilities (or pool and fitness suite) are good, not amazing, but definitely worth using. A very minor thing though, thought their Christmas decorations would have been more impressive. Still a superb place to be though so 5 stars.

Hotel was very nice. Rooms spacious and convenient. La Cucina restaurant was good, except for their odd menu. Supposedly Italian but a very British/American take on Italian food, with cream in the carbonara sauce, and bizarrely both primi and secondi dishes being main courses rather than first and second courses (as the names indicate). Food was pleasant and the wine good. Visit somewhat spoiled by the apparent loss of wedding buttonholes delivered to the front desk/concierge.

Afternoon tea in the gorgeous atrium. Staff were very attentive with Craig and Skye delivering first class service. Friendly and chatty, not intrusive but couldnt do enough for us. Food was delicious, excellent choice of teas and all helped on its way accompanied by a decent bottle of prosecco.
Fairmount St Andrews has always delivered and still does

The staff, location and amenties made this a wonderful hotel for our St. Andrews trip. They offer a driving range for warm up before playing there or other local courses, and a complimentary shuttle into town.

Afternoon tea for mother in laws birthday. Excellent service in comfortable surroundings, very friendly and helpful staff. Good variety of food, but on a purely personnel basis I would have preferred a small selection of quiche and sausage rolls to accompany the sandwiches and less cake as the last course was a bit much

Had a great night here for the Take That Christmas party night, the tribute band/entertainment was great, service was exceptional and food was good. Would recommend this type of night for any groups who want to go out and let their hair down. We danced all night after the meal and the atmosphere was great!

Absolutely brilliant! 2 night getaway that we wished could have been longer.
Brilliant dinners both nights. Haddock and Chips in the Lounge bar on the first and a Rabbit starter followed by Ravioli in the Italian/Mediterranean restaurant on the second. My wife had the Flat Iron Steak which I luckily scored a piece of!
Suite was extremely comfortable and wanted for nothing, whilst the service was excellent from all staff from the doormen, Guest Services, F&B and the Spa.

Very nice hotel. Great rooms. Very nice staff. Little downer is the Italian restaurant in the house, La Cucina. We were told at the entrance that it would take longer because a group of 20 people would be expected. No problem for us. We would have been waiting for a vacation. When we sat at the table came a very hectic waitress who took our order in no time. 3 minutes later she came running with our plates. In the microwave warmed up sticky and soggy spaghetti for me for 15 pounds and for my girlfriend unbelievable 7 solitary tortellini for 16 scotch pounds. I have never left a restaurant so disappointed. Too bad.

Beautiful location. Lovely to see bedrooms with subtle schemes from local designers. Non-golfers would feel most at home here with stunning walks, extensive choice of holistic spa treatments, Italian restaurant and plenty of seating in relaxing surroundings for a light afternoon tea.

Fantastic surroundings, beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea.
The Bloody Mary's in the hotel bar were amazing.
The room was beautifully presented and very clean.
This wasn't our first trip to Fairmont and it won't be our last.

Stayed for our 21st wedding anniversary in November. It was brilliant. We had steak for dinner, it was cooked to perfection, the meal was amazing. We were presented with a plate saying happy anniversary and chocolates. The staff are so nice and helpful, nothing is a problem, will definitely be back next year. Although we were in level 3 no alcohol, it was so good. Definitely recommend.

Pretentious, not welcoming at all. Went to the clubhouse for lunch at 11.30am and was advised that food isn t served until 12pm which is fine, asked for menu, was not given them. Asked for a drinks menu, was not given them. Ordered coffee, carried them to the table ourselves. A family of Americans came in and were seated with menus straight away...

Stunning hotel, stunning location. Particularly like the pool and jacuzzi. Only downpoint was the Zepher bar has a new menu which wasn't updated online and the current one is a bit of a let down.

My mother and I stayed here as part of a trip around Scotland. Fairmont at St. Andrews Hotel and Spa was far and away a Five Star resort and the service was impeccable. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, we were treated like royalty the entire time. We are at the Golf Club and I give the meal and service another Five Stars as well as the Kittocks Den. The breakfast buffet experience was above our expectations and every selection was fresh and delicious. Gluten free options abound and the staff ensure that our dining options were satisfactory through service and attention to detail.
Our room was on the sea side and the view was incredible. The bathroom was well appointed and clean and the room was comfortable and perfectly arranged and very clean.
I look forward to staying here again. Thank you especially to Davie at the front door. He made my moms day every time they spoke.
Well done, Fairmont - simply brilliant.
