A grand, opulent hotel overlooking the sea and a short drive from St Andrews. We stayed for the night and the room was warm and beautifully presented with an amazing view. Dinner at La Cucina and breakfast were both great and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel. Staff from bar and the restaurants were really nice and friendly. Our meals were great we both enjoyed our experience at the grill and our breakfasts. However, we came for a few days of relaxation only to discover we had to book slots to use the pool (very small for such a large hotel) when we did not want to have to structure out day in such a way were we can't come as go as we please leaving limited time on other things to do. There was also a fire alarm which went off at 3am and we were all out in the freezing cold until jiat beforr 4.30 (not hotels fault for thst obviously) obly thrn for it to go off and at 7am and disturbus all again with the little sleep we got we sadly had postpone our plans that evening due to being so very tired. Another negative thing was the use of air conditioning and heating in our room. Our room was very cold due to cold air coming through which csme on itself. We had to phone (with one member of staff being quite rude!) and ask to stop this and they blasted hot air which we then had to calll to ask them to tirn off. Would have been better for everyone if we could control it ourselves from the room. Sadly we had a disappointing experience staying here.

Location is great so long as you can drive (although the hotel runs a shuttle bus). It's a beautiful setting with spectacular views. The room is gorgeous and very spacious with an amazing bathroom. We took our dog with us and while very More

Great place to stay if you want to play Golf around St. Andrews. Room was large. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Bar served good food and beer. I did not get warm with the vegan sportsbar. Breakfast buffet offered a very good selection. Overall very good value for money.

It's the best place for views and golf lovers. Good service and also a good environment! I and my family spend our Christmas eve here and it was a good experience. The only thing we missed was we couldn't play golf in those beautiful golf courses because of Christmas break for staff. I am looking forward to coming back here play some golf! Great hotel!

Table was dirty. We sat there for an hour, asked four different staff members if they would mind cleaning it for us, the fourth cleaned it in the last 10 minutes of our visit. It wasn't even very busy.

Excellent hotel. Very warm and welcoming staff. Stayed in Manor A for golfing trip. Perfect for group of eight. Two courses present a fair challenge with superb views across the bay. Breakfast in hotel was lovely.

Absolutely loved our visit, was a bit disappointed when we found out the spa was closed for our break, but got on with it and the staff were outstanding, it would have been 5 stars had the spa been open but we'll get that the next time

Just spent 3 wonderful days here. Staff are so friendly and attentive, and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is all you hoped it would be. Hotel is so comfortable. I would recommend the afternoon tea. It was a wonderful experience

Visited Cucina restaurant with a large party of work colleagues and I can honestly say that we would never go back. The food was extremely overpriced, customer service was average and no one from our party of 30 left remotely satisfied from the experience.

I don't think it was a one off as they weren't busy. I just don't think the restaurant is very good and for that reason I will never visit again.

Every staff where absolutely lovely and made everyone feel welcome from reception to their room. The scenery is clean, comfy and stylish. Not a bad word from this place. Plenty to do and to see inside Fairmont and plenty to see in local town e.i. The St Andrews Cathedral.

Just checked out from a lovely overnight stay in room 1010.Service and staff were excellent. Our first visit for our first anniversary experience marred slightly by blood stains on a pillow case and mould visible in the ladies shower cubicle, however. Meal and service in La Cucina and at breakfast were very nice and staff very attentive.

Beautiful hotel and holiday homes. I always like visiting this place. The only disappointment was the "outdoor ice skating rink" at Christmas time. This was nothing more than slippy plastic style boards. I skate in lots of places but unfortunately this wasn't one of them.

Great rooms, spa and golf courses. Staff are friendly and attentitive. Excellent location for a weekend break. Close proxcimitery to St, Andrews gives excellent choice for bars, restaurants and the beach.

Very big american style glossy hotel. Huge. It sprawls.Service at front of house is hard to fault. The prices are all top end. I found it pricey but soulless. I'd say its pitched at wealthy couples. He goes to the golf ...she goes to the spa. If that's your thing then this place is for you. If you're a foodie or want a romantic weekend...theres better to be had in this area for less cash. As for breakfast...we queue'd for 20 minutes for a table. Coffee finally came to the table. If this was a top end hotel I'd actually have table service. Buffet is okay but can nobody make me the toast? Queue to slide bread into the conveyor belt toaster. If this is a posh hotel the breakfast needs sorted out....before you need to go to settle that very big bill. Not for me...all yours golf/spa people.

An amazing hotel. Great rooms, we chose to upgrade for a sea view which I would recommend.
Only downside is the bar staff are a little slow with service. I had ordered a cocktail not on the menu (which I was told by the server was no problem) and it took quite a while for the bar to make the drink. The cocktail when it arrived was delicious though.
Breakfast in the morning was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the choices were plentiful.

I had a sea facing room so had a great view. The food was delicious and the room really comfortable with a luxurious ensuite. Best if all, the rooms have a power socket right next to the bed so you can actually charge your phone and have it close at night!

Staff is helpful but the location of the hotel is far away from city center. They have shuttles to the city but the last one is at 16:30. So if you want to go to dinner in St Andrews you have to go back by taxi. Rooms are well designed but i would expect the rooms to be better decorated and larger. The location of the hotel is windy and the reel feel temperature is at least 5 degrees less than St Andrews. They have one Italian and grill bar restaurant and prices are expensive. As it is far away from St Andrews you have no choice but to eat in either restaurants. On the other hand The view is very nice. And hotel has a golf course.
