Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport or Dum Dum International Airport is one of India's top Airport. The airport is neat and clean and well maintained. Its not that huge as compared to Delhi or Mumbai but it's a nice airport.
The Arrival is in the ground floor whereas the Departure is in the upper floor. Stairs and Lift is available near gate 3A/3B.
Connectivity is very good from other parts of the Kolkata to this Airport. You can get Volvo bus from Airport to Howrah Railway Station and it costs just 50. From Gate 2 you can get all lo a buses for everything. Ola/Uber/Prepaid taxy options are also there.
Well this is a recent review. This 4+ rating really does not matter and depends on the service provided. This place and airport is pathetic, as days goes by. The people should change their mentality to keep the shine in the gold .Useless low class atitude will not help, and will change even diamond to junk.
Incident: after security, i could not find washroom in vicinity. Most of them are so busy, and others are in maintainence. Even the quality and cleanliness is degrading every day. This airport also will tryn into the old one, some old tax office, similar condition gonna happen to this airport because of these pathetic service n people
Airport services are good but Bengali people has to learn how to use the services as I have seen many place they spit pan masala every where almost all lifts across city.
Clean & well-planned airport. Departure waiting area has so many shops and food outlets so passengers won't get bored. Security staff is very helpful. Moreover, it is a very nice airport for passengers. The domestic and international gates are near to each other, thus saving time for transit. Staff behavior is very nice. Service is very good and everyone is very helpful.
Its an both international airport and domestic airport of kolkata. This airport is neat and clean.. They have luggage storage system in the airport.. Also they provide staying facilities. Several restaurent are available here but cost is very high.. Like a Samossa you have to pay 150 rs. Which is very high... The airport is big. they renovated it.. Free water, free wifi and mobile charging port is available here. There are also duty free shop where you can buy chocolate,wine,alcohol and different gift item..
Only airport in Kolkata. During these covid times there is a lot of chaos. Reach 3 hours earlier to avoid rush or to miss your flight. Take ola or uber for departure. Many taxi drivers may offer you lower fare in sharing. Please avoid them, u will end up paying more
Please remember to go to the baggage scanner before you go to the check-in counter. Relatively clean. No line Management anywhere. Security screening takes a while, slow so get here with plenty of time to spare.

Huge infrastructure and quite spacious. Little to no queues and enormous number of check-in counters and security makes it easy. The only downside is the food. The place sells two boiled egg for 200 bucks. Would have given 4 star if not for the over costly food options.
Great and professional architecture. Is one of the busiest airports in India. Almost all domestic and International flights around the world are available here. The first floor is for departures and ground is for arrival. Parking is accessible for a wheelchair. Very helpful ground staff and almost all flight brands available. Consists of good restaurants with a wide variety of food and drinks. Soft as well as hard drinks are also available. Parking is free for 10 minutes hence charged with rs 100 for every two hours. Wide range of Cab facility is available right at the arrival gate.
if you love spartan, this airport is for you. but, what ruins the ambience is the bong predilection for smoking. guys, its a misconception that a cig between fingers is evidence of brain between ears.
inside, the airport is a cancer nightmare. two smoking cabins, one near gate 28 and the other near the food court near gate 18, are the cause. i don't understand the need for a public undertaking like AAI to accommodate smokers at the cost of causing cancer among its users... till you remember the bong misconception and the fact that the kolkata hq'd ITC may be too big a customer to disappoint.
passengers boarding from gate 26, 27, 28 are especially subjected to strong second hand smoke. i pity the airline staff who have to keep standing there the whole time inhaling this deadly smoke with no option. while the passengers have the option to stay away till the last moment, while queuing up they are also not spared.
the airport staff also who have to frequent that location as part of their duty are needlessly subject to health hazard. the food court though is spared from the strong stench, but it is perceptible occasionally.
to all those silently suffering, i have one word - lawsuit.

Very good place, well maintained and also well decorated. I go friquently and mostly uses the domestic terminal. Sometime becomes very much crowded. Airport is maintained by Airport Authority of India (AAI). Pretaxi services available and also you will get bus and train service.
One of the best maintained airport, staffs are really well mannered and helpful. It is located in the middle of city and hence anybody can easily avail the transport facilities to all the nearby places.

Quite beautiful airport... Too many artifacts showing Bengali Art nd Culture are shown at every corner nd place... Areawise it is also very huge... Architecture is worth watching... Only problem is their irresponsible nd rude staff...They changed our flight at the last moment (Indigo flights) nd we have to go another full round of checking for re entry, without any of our fault...Lastly they told we have been given the same flight so we have to go one round again... How one can be so unprofessional Nd irresponsible...Nd not even one of the flight authorities came out to talk abt it after asking for it too many times...Whole of the passengers had to suffer due to the fault of them nd they even not apologize for it... They simply ignored nd forced us to take a complete round again... Too much troublesome experience... In addition to these... Eating outlets are too much highly expensive... Like for 2 samosa you'd be paying around 200 Rs...

This airport is very neat and clean bas well organised but eating outlet is very expensive. Overall ball airport is good and security is not too tight. Casual security is there anyone can pass entrance. Security should be improve. Staff of this airport is very friendly and approachable.
