Pretty tidy now. Many more stores and shops for in-airport shopping are required to boost up business. Lounges are good. Staff is efficient. The airport is generally very crowded. Though improvements have to be made since it's a metropolitan city airport.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport was named after the prominent nationalist leader of the same name and serves the Kolkata metropolitan. It is located in the Dum Dum area, approximately 17 kilometres from the city centre. It is the fifth busiest airport in India that sprawls across an area of 2460 acres. Kolkata airport is often regarded as the fastest growing airport in the country with an annual increase in passenger traffic by 27%. In the year 2014 and 2015, it has been awarded the title of the Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific by the International Airport Council. The main highlight of the CCU airport is the newly designed L-shaped Terminal 2 that has replaced the international and domestic buildings. The new terminal is integrated with smart features and the ambience reflects the true essence of Kolkata.

But regarding Covid 19, social distancing totally fail. Authority just keeping their eyes close.
So be very careful while you are travelling Kolkata or via Kolkata airport.
Maintain social distance and clean hand as frequent as possible as per govt guide lines.

Though it's an international airport, it lacks basic facilities like clean toilets, food courts, courteous ground staff etc. Cleaning staff are too laid back. They should consider their job as service to mankind.

Very spacious and lavish. Dispaly of information at sufficient places. Lifts provided for ground to first floor. Outside Airport eatery available. Bags arrive on belt in time. The custom free liquor shops reasonable. Most of the time you will find good offers. Handling of luggage bags also good.

Kolkata airport is an international airport but about 85% of its passengers are domestic travelers. Kolkata is now India's fastest growing airport.It's India's fifth busiest airport also. I'm traveling in last month . It was really a nice journey .

Staff as usual is very nicely behaved. It's always a nice experience. Except for the fact that there was absolutely no social distancing being maintained. Which is absolutely unsafe and unacceptable.

Bathrooms need work. There is spit all over the place

This International airport in Kolkata provides all the required facilities and comforts as per International standard. The security check-in procedure is very smooth. There are many display boards showing the departure and arrival of the flights. But the change of gate numbers at the last moment after security check-in should be avoided to facilitate the passengers to remain tension free. There are many shops of international brands and adequate food parlours and restaurants for the waiting passengers. The cost of food and beverages are very high. There are plenty of well maintained rest rooms. The ambience of the airport is wonderful and the whole building is beautifully decorated with aesthetic sense. There are arrangements for wheelchairs and transportation cars inside the building.

Spicejet bombardier small aircraft ....... usually for small routes like Kolkata- Guwahati and back.... Kolkata to Agartala and back...... Guwahati to Agartala and back.....what a experience.....but noise of propeller attached to shaft is too much inside....low engine capacity increase travel time ...

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport is one of the oldest Airport in the India. It is named before Shri Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The airport is a major centre for flights to Northeast India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Southeast Asia and the Middle Eastern cities of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha. Kolkata Airport won the title of Best Improved Airport in the Asia-Pacific region awarded by the Airport Council International.The airport has two parallel runways, Terminal 1 and the Terminal 2. The airport's new integrated terminal T2 is spread over 2,510,000 sq ft and can handle 25 million passengers annually, compared to the previous terminals' capacity of five million. The terminal is an L-shaped structure. The airport has a well-established facility of prepaid taxis and air-conditioned buses connecting it to the city centre. As part of the larger modernisation programme, a flyover at Nagerbazar and an entry ramp on VIP Road have also been constructed. Parking facilities at the new terminal include two underground parking levels accommodating 3000 cars, as well as an outdoor car parking which can handle an additional 2000 cars. The Infrastructure of the Airport is very clean. After all the above details, one can say that is is one of the finest airport of the India.

Definitely not the best airport ,but still I would say it's not bad either.There are few area still needs improvement in terms of hygiene.
Airport authority should stop the selling of cigarettes just outside the Arrival Gate, because if that people are smoking near the airport openly.

A Big Thank You to the entire Team of Holiday Tripster for planning this great trip to Andaman Islands. This was our first trip after lockdown. We were really concerned about hygiene and safety. Holiday Tripster and its team followed all the safety protocols and provided us good hotels. The rooms, service, foods, transports all were too good.

The toilets especially urinal pots are not properly cleaned plastic mats inside urinals ore broken water is not flushing.
No Civil 19 precautions observed. No social distancing.

My experience was excellent. The staff was very homely. Definitely wish to return there during my next trip to Gurgaon.

Pretty good spacious airport. Departures are smooth and lots of stalls to look and purchase. Gates at the ground level have less waiting space. Security and Aerobridge are very good. Arrivals may have some conveyor related problems. Taxi services are good. Connecting roads and bridges around are very convenient including a railway station. Food stalls are in plenty.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Airport is hopefully restriction for Covid-19.

It's a Kolkata domestic and international airport which is very busy throughout the day and almost all destination flight any one can take

This airport is very new to the comparison of other metro airport. The government has invested loads of money. But as maintenance wise, it is very poorly maintained. Cleanliness and hygiene is a very much questionable. As said it is the 5th busiest airport in India. So don't you think it should be better maintained.

Best airport .Ticket facility on second floor. Lift between first floor to second floor. Very clean.car service also good.

Very nice and clean airport, staffs are very polite, professional & helpful. Its a good place to shop (having most of the international/national brands), a food court to eat & enjoy some candid time with family & friends. There's a lounge too for the passengers.

Was here for a transit to Bangkok on the independence day of 2019. The airport for its size was very very calm and silent. Hardly few passengers and this was evening time. The cisf staff were friendly. The roof design is one of a kind. All bengali calligraphy I believe. One the oldest airports of India I believe.

Very bad among the airports i have seen till now.. Chandigarh airport is far better than this one.
