disgusting hospital, the staff are racist and made me never want to return to holland!!! disgusting! dont go here, they dont even give you the proper medication you need for treatment. I was sick and went to this hospital LITERALLY ALMOST A YEAR AGO, now i keep getting mail from them saying I owe them money (rich considering i paid them upfront too!!!) disgusting people, can even write properly. Theres so many spelling errors and mistakes. its like they have given me an invoice yet cant even translate it into english.

Ik ben persoonlijk blij met het feit dat men mij hier wel goed weet te helpen met mijn problemen die ontstaan zijn na een medische misser van een ander ziekenhuis. Ik ben helemaal blij met de hoge mate van vakkundigheid waarmee men problemen tracht te verhelpen. Top. Hier is mijn vertrouwen weer hersteld in de medische wereld.

Regelmatig zie ik dit ziekenhuis langskomen op televisie ivm het corona virus.
Echter gaan ze in dit ziekenhuis niet zo nauw om met de regels omtrent corona.
Gister op meerdere plekken in het zkh lichamelijke onderzoeken gehad en bloed laten prikken.
Alle artsen en onderzoekers komen zo dichtbij zonder mondkapje dat ik me afvraag of dit wel verantwoord is.

Very good hospital the new building is a huge improvement compared to the old building.

Geweldig ziekenhuis. Kundig personeel. Mijn man is geopereerd aan zijn hoofd omdat er bloed in zijn schedel zat die tegen de hersenen aan drukte. Zonder deze operatie had mijn man het niet gered.Goede neurochirurgie en een hele goede behandeling.Ook heeft mijn man tien jaar daar voor op de Cardiologie gelegen en ook dat was een hele goede.

In itself it is a large factory, staff are friendly.

I understand that the Rotterdam city rates are higher, but there must be a way to give those who come for research or a visit a certain discount through a kind of code or separate rate !!

I have to be here regularly for examinations and regularly lose 10-15 euros.

September 2017 I had a major operation in Erasmus.
I am very pleased with the expertise of the doctors and nurses. Also had only positive experiences on the human level. The extensive aftercare: couldn't be better!
To write something negative after all: the rates of the parking garage.

Large hospital city in a city you have to walk great distances, parking garages very expensive but beyond that mss due to the relocation of Daniel the hat to Erasmus mc there are many mistakes made. Better they had kept Daniel den Hoed despite the old was there still humanity. My now deceased partner lay on the 12th floor with pancreatic cancer the night before his death, brand new training pants were stolen from him, they had disappeared from one moment to the next while there was no visit. Strange and strange, I think that someone who one can easily enter someone who has nothing to look for. The one bright spot was his nurse Chantal who does her work with love that loves people, but the rest were just robots who did as little as possible ff kan.Ik myself in another department go get an extra blanket because he is so cold washing, socks on him I had him so home taken away but unfortunately that was not for me.Taar sleep was not an option for me I was tired and it was cold and hungry not to find a blanket and also nowhere more to get something to eat if it was from a vending machine in the department or hall. No, I have resolved to never take myself in here. Then I would rather step out myself.
This hospital only wants to get your money out of your pockets and have a good status.
But dealing with people there, they can (well after that) still follow a few courses first.

Prachtig ziekenhuis m n man heeft er een operatie in z n nek gedaan bij Dr. bos.
Toen hij bij neurochirurgie een pare gesprek gehad. Hij heeft twee metaal stukjes tussen de Nekwervels in plaats van gedegenereerd kraakbeen ingezet. De omgaan met hem was het zo leuk de verpleegkundigen waren zo lief het zorgen boven dan normaal alles netjes ze zijn echt professioneel met alles . Hij is blij om. En heel tevreden.

Waited several hours to get checked at the emergencies even though the hospital was EMPTY. And after more than 5 months I still haven't received any invoice to get refunded by my health insurance.
Worst hospital ever.

If you choose the EMC Rotterdam you also know that it takes months for your doctor to hear something. But the worst part is that if you want to donate something during life, they cannot think further than before. Because the Transplant department is still alive at that time, they also come back to that every time. Been there again tomorrow and the same answer I could not give something away as a donor with my history and medicine .. While they are jumping for donors. Other doctors had no problems with what I wanted. But EMC is known for preferring to talk if they help people and do something. Hope they wake up one day ..

Am completely appalled by the treatment in this medical centre. I was travelling as a female solo traveller a few months ago in September and fell extremely sick with a bacterial gut infection. I went into emergency and asked for treatment whoever doctors claimed it was a viral gastroenteritis. I then was sick and had a further 4 bouts, was sick when I arrived back in my home country. I am now facing over $1000 in medical costs all because doctors in emergency in this hospital didn't give me antibiotics. I have had fevers, chills, nausea, been unable to eat for months and still have had no diagnosis. I do not recommend this hospital at all. Completely ruined my travels due to my illnesses. I tried to get the names of the doctors in emergency (who were extremely rude, one doctor even told me to apologise to her because I was telling her how afraid I was as a LONE, female traveller at the age of 19), but I was denied access to my medical records. Completely rude, disgusting staff. Hospital managers must talk with them about proper etiquette on how to treat patients. Don't go here. Also they were quite racist, asking what ethnicity I was - which, mind you it should not matter what ethnicity I am, I should be treated equally and fairly with my symptoms taken seriously.

Very skillful, and caring personnel. A humans life is worth a lot in here. The doctors and staff were friendly and personal.

Jan. 2014; 3.5 week gelegen waarvan 10 dagen op IC ik had een hersenbloeding en ben hier geopereerd aan mijn hoofd,vanuit Goes hier gebracht, en ik leef nog, ben redelijk tot goed weer gezond , wel last van moeheid , slik wel medicijnen , werkte al weer na 3 mnd, na een jaar fultime, kortom ik ben EMC dankbaar voor wat ze hebben gedaan

The care for mother and child is really heart-warming

My first time at Erasmuc MC was totally unprofessional.

1-) Desk staff have made an appointment with a wrong doctor. I realized this once I was there for the appointment.
2-) The (wrong) doctor would sort it all out for me ... I haven't heard anything!
3-) I called the desk clerk and they tell me if I can come again for a consultation, this time with the right doctor. What happened to all that data with the first one then? Do I have too many days off or something?
4-) Emailed a few weeks ago and still no response.
5-) They just want to take photos right away while I have only come for a consultation. They indicated that photos go with a consultation. I think that is anormal. Why don't you let me know then? I now have to pay everything from my own pocket instead of the insurer. Otherwise I would have planned the appointment next year.
6-) If you call them they have zero comma zero understanding. They react very dry. They don't even say sorry or anything.

Non personal! There are so many doctors that the attention is unpersonal! The quality of attention is random depending of who can see your case! and They are reluctant to listen to the patient. Without the results of machines their expertise goes deep down

My mother has been treated here for a tumor. Everyone was super sweet to her, the room was good, the food looked healthy. And everything was explained very well and we as a family felt very much supported in the process.

Good hospita, they take good care of the patient, very caring doctors and associated staff.

Orthodontics department is awful! Been walking around since I was 7 with braces and other nasty things in my mouth and nothing good has come out yet. Just stress, ignorance and a lot of sadness. If you are here as an ortho I would quickly look for something new.

Outrageous hospital my brother has esophagus cancer and can not eat in the normal way since July 12, from the box to the wall we are sent, They just let him starve, later he will not even die from the cancer but he is out starved died, find the doctors of Erasmus mc very ignorant and a great shame, it is inhumane what they do to their patient !!!!!!!

I've been here to the different treatment departments. All doctors are the same, lack experience / knowledge and liars. Some of the staff are polish and don't speak a word of Dutch it's ridiculous. If you submit a complaint, it will take more than 4 months until you receive an answer. I would not recommend this crappy hospital to anyone .....

Asked the receptionist of Dermatology (with the short hair) if I can have a call back appointment with the doctor who prescribed me medication because I did not fully understand things.
Was not necessary according to the receptionist.
I told her I would like it myself.
After much sighing and moaning I was told that I would be called back by my attending physician.
On the day of the call appointment, I was called, but not by my attending physician.
So still has questions that have not been answered.
Very bad care if you ask me.
And the grumpy receptionist could be a little more human.
Bad information and the patient in the Dermatology department is not listened to.
Very unfortunate while this is an expertise center.

Nice hospital in the long wait for that turn is nice stores you can take something nice. And parking is far too expensive should just be free also for old piece of hospital and just dolhof is not good to give. From around half past eight she also had to give away free of charge in order to have to wait in the room

Very long waiting times. first time more than 4 hours waiting for doctor's response (the nurses pressed continuously), second time went to jaw surgery trauma and again waited 3 hours ... drama!

And in the meantime the expensive parking meter continues ....

My wife is a patient here. Very good hospital and skilled specialists. Nice green appearance inside. Maasstad can still learn something from this.

The Erasmus MC, many times I have had surgery here and now stayed for about 150 days in total. But what a nice staff from the cleaners, nurses, logistics staff, anesthesia to the surgeons. Department 9 south what a top work there. Piece by piece. It is old and difficult to keep clean but the wait is for the opening of the rooms in the new hospital. I think everyone is looking forward to that. The hospital stands or falls by its staff and that is top-notch here. Everyone goes the "extra mile" here In a terrible time from surgery to complications, etc. Has staff from 9 South made the difference for me. Thanks.

I would recommend nobody, very difficult to make an appointment and takes a long time. Most employees are doctor assistants and difficult to find a good doctor and some people come from Poland and do not speak Dutch.

Biggest hospital in the Netherlands. Does top rated cutting edge research and trains a lot of tomorrow's young doctors and scientists. On the side it also heals people, as like an added bonus.

Best hospital i have been to. Emergency personell where great and friendly.

I have been admitted to Erasmus MC for 3 days and I can only say that I am really very satisfied with these 3 days. The new facility is so incredibly beautiful and is equipped with the latest technology. The nurses are very helpful and caring. I had a private room with amazing facilities and a beautiful view. Thanks to all the friendly employees of Erasmus MC, I entered the operation very calmly and without stress. The doctors who performed the surgery were also incredibly empathetic and caring. It was real craftsmanship with a lot of precision, a lot of nice humor and a lot of personal attention to the patient to make you feel completely at ease. I really recommend this fantastic hospital to everyone!

I went there for a conference. The place is very nice. The people are friendly.

I give a specialist 5 stars, but receptionists who are really worth 1 star. You are simply sent from cupboard to wall and the operator is very bad with transferring to the right person or department. This must be better.

Oncology long waiting times at the 3 lifts, all coffee vending machines are gone, reason waiting room to shorten crowds and force people to use commercial catering or Albert Hein. Also short news from nu.nl of screens disappeared. Old Erasmus was cozier

The Traumalogy Department does not honor their agreements. Fortunately, immunology often does.

Always a celebration of recognition of many staff.
Had many operations, including a 1st donor kidney, in the SKZ in 1976 2nd in the EMC and an ostomy operation ..

All 3 long recordings the 1st 14 months in terms of stay and care was a THICK 10 !!!!!
People also keep looking for e / o investigations until there is a good / or correct diagnosis with an appropriate treatment.

When I was still studying on Rotterdam, I was admitted to this hospital with a meningism and a serious shortage of white blood cells. Despite my blood test, both problems were not diagnosed in this hospital. The only thing I was tested for was meningitis, by means of an epidural. Because I was left very sick and too soon after the epidural had subsided, I had a spinal fluid leakage 10 minutes after leaving the hospital, from which I had to recover for a long time. I left the hospital sicker than I entered. In addition, no correct medical information was passed on to me. Once back at home I was allowed to have all the examinations done again and with more results. I was really shocked by this. This is simply not possible. These are basic errors.

BEWARE !!!! Dermatology Department is a great muppet show! They keep you '' sick '' / on the leash as long as possible, when you have a serious skin condition. After almost 2 years of treatment and in the meantime trying all kinds of ointments, pills, lotions, I have not got any further than that it has only got worse. I am still waiting for the allegie test and blood test, because I have no idea what kind of condition I have. They don't want to do that anymore, because suddenly they have a glass ball that they can see that I have acne (all over my body!?!?). What I wonder, are these people of dermatogy graduated at all!?!?!? Meanwhile been to the UMC in Leiden, next week appointment for allergy test if nothing comes out, a blood test will be done. These are only professionals!

Large hospital with all advantages and disadvantages.

They saved my life. Doctors and nurses are great. The hospital is modern and i felt like in 5 star hotel more then in hospital, even tho I was after liver transplant.

Doctors are skilled, but nurses still have a lot to learn. I was admitted to the gynecology department for three days after a major operation. I could barely walk for three days, but there was not a sister willing to help me move. Sisters inhumanly treat patients. Every time I pressed the help button, they only came after half an hour. Scandalous. Suppose I had fallen if it was an emergency, you would have been dead long ago if it were up to the sisters. The night before the operation I had a panic attack and the nurse came in very grumpy after an hour: why are you pressing the help button now. I explained that I was having a panic attack and the nurse didn't care. She told me to go to sleep and left panicked. Erasmus takes on more EXPERT sisters instead of indifferent emotionless sisters.

My experience is not to write home about here at the mother and child unit and that is all so badly organized!

Make sure you never end up there!

Bad communication. You promise everything but their appointments do not follow !!! Do not tell you all the risks before the operation, you will only find out after the operation! It is that I could not give 0 stars! In short, a bad hospital !!!!

Oral surgeons of Erasmus are butchers, I have never feared the dentist in 25 years, but after having been here. Nearby choosing at my witty's has been aborted during pulling. I had a terrible swelling, my face was unrecognizable. When they are done with you, you are about to be launched from your chair that you are right away with orphans. People think before you go to the dental surgeon here.

When my dentist had filed a complaint with the dental surgeons, and I had to go back to the jaws to show my very inflamed wound and to be provided with antibiotics. A jawbone left a hook in my wound without warning. I was in pain. They like to treat people like that.

We went there for the birth of our first born. We had a good experience. The doctors were very nice and also personal. Since the hospital and gastenhuis are also very close and connected (on the same floor), would specially recommend in case of complications.

I was referred by a dental surgeon from Ikazia hospital because my jaw keeps slipping out of place and the joint is worn out. I get a jaw surgeon who knows nothing, who puts me away as an underage child, who told me that he had never had surgery to repair a jaw joint. The threshold should be higher. Well, sir sent me to a gnatologist and he has to fix it. I do not think so. I am done with it!

Let two molars go yesterday. It is really a maze when you are there for the first time. Registration was fairly quick, but after that I had to find the right building and department. The waiting areas are arranged alphabetically, but the route to them is not necessarily logical. You really have to look carefully at the signs and estimate where you need to be. Staff is very helpful if you get lost.
Both when taking the X-ray and when removing the molars, clear instructions were given and work was done quickly. I may have been in for an hour in total. I have been given painkillers and mouthwash water, but I have not had a second of pain. Also my face is not swollen or discolored at all. I am really satisfied with the process :) Thank you for the help.
Parking garage is also very nice by the way. Nice high entrance for delivery vans (2.30 m) and a lower floor for cars (2.10 m).

Service delivery has improved tremendously recently due to massive refurbishments. Not many hospitals have better services and capabilities in this part of the world.

I had an accident on November 28, pedestrian vs forklift, two legs damaged, left looking drastically (almost to amputation), two operations on both legs, heavy days, weeks, pain, wound review, today after 10 weeks. I am at the rehabilitation stage, I will walk on crutches soon. I am happy and thankful that I managed to save my feet despite numerous wounds. Thank you, hospital nurses everything at a very high level

Maybe it is up to the departments, but outpatient clinic Rheumatology and plastic surgery are top! Fine ladies who work there and live with you. The doctors are knowledgeable and will take the time for you. I always recommend Emc to people, because I have been coming there for years and can only be positive about it. The renovation is getting more and more beautiful over the years, nice that there is an AH to go in the large hall, next to the parking garage. The costs for parking are many, so I let myself be brought or go by public transport. Dijkzigt metro station is nearby and walking distance is short.

Never respects the appointment time!! I was 15 min earlier and still waited for 40 min after the settled hour! Plus pay the bill i don t understand why they give an hour at the phone if they riceve you when they want!!

New construction looks nice, but what distances you have to travel to get to certain departments. Parking is indeed at the price.
